At Beverly's flat
Beverly is on the phone to Jim. He tells her he'll be coming home soon as he's confident about the court case. Helen says she can't wait for him to be back and Lucy writes to him every day. Beverly says she has been hanging out for mail from Jim too. Helen questions her about her relationship with Steven - is she over him now? Beverly says you don't get over a five year relationship in five minutes then changes the subject to wine.
At the Clarkes
Des is searching for his picture. Harold comes out in his pyjamas for help tying them up(!). He goes on for ages about his mother's cat going missing for weeks. Des says there is a difference between a photo and a cat - a photo doesn't have legs.
At Paul and Gails
Gail is ironing ready for her trip. Paul is worried about how busy he'll be but when she suggests cancelling her trip (again) he says nobody is indispensable. She pointedly tells him "No, they're not." She (hopefully) asks him if his grumpy mood is anything to do with her going away but he tells her bluntly that it's because of Rosemary hijacking his staff. She tells him to stop grouching round the place like a bear with a belly ache. He says he is fine, it's Glen who should be grouchy. She replies that at least he (Paul) will be able to go out with Crystal every night.
At the Clarkes
Beverly tells Harold his plaster has to stay on for a couple more weeks. As Beverly is leaving Mrs Mangel arrives. She wants him to know that she's maintained his room for him while he's been at the Clarkes. Harold has other plans though - he won't be returning to her house. She demands to know what she has done. He tells her she acted maliciously with her tea leaf reading. She admits it, but says she did it for him - she felt safe with him in the house and didn't want him to leave. She starts to cry but Harold says this only makes what she did even more cruel. He is unable to resist her tears for long though and says if she assures him it won't ever happen again then he will consider moving back when he is out of plaster.
At the coffee shop
Henry tells Sally he forgives her for breaking their date last night. But, as luck would have it, he is available that night! She agrees. Des comes in and apologises to Sally for how boring dinner was the night before - she can't have enjoyed looking through all those photos. She tells him she had a great time, to Henry's confusion. He follows Des and asks if Sally was at his place last night. Des confirms it. Henry tells him she's been asking quite a few questions about him and his family but Des is sure she's just sussing out who's who in the neighbourhood (and taking their old pictures Desmond?)
At the office
Mrs Mangel brings Paul the revised menus and tells Helen it's like old times having her back in the office. She does think it's strange though, Mrs Robinson leaving like that being so newly married...Paul throws her out of the office and back to work. Helen asks if his bad mood has anything to do with Gail. She thinks Gail would be pleased to know he is missing her. Paul is embarrassed and makes an excuse to go out for a bit.
Outside Daphne's fathers
(Why don't we ever see inside this place? Couldn't afford to pay enough??) Daphne questions why Sally would be stealing pictures. She says maybe she has a crush on Des? He asks if she'd be jealous if she did but she insists she's never been jealous in her life.
Outside Paul and Gails
Henry loads Gail's cases into Bertha as Paul arrives home. Gail smiles, pleased he's come to say goodbye. He tells Gail he has a letter for Rosemary that she could pass on for him. Gail, unimpressed, says she'll see him in two weeks. They awkwardly say goodbye and she gets in the car. Paul says "I'm going to miss you Gail" but she can't hear him through the window. She winds it down and asks what he said but he tells her "You have a good time." then watches her drive off.
Outside Daphne's fathers
Daphne tells Des to keep his eye on Sally - she has access to all the takings at the coffee shop. He says they don't even know that she took the photo. But he plans to keep an eye on her anyway. In a (probably) deliberate contrast to the previous scene with Paul and Gail he kisses her and Jamie goodbye and says he really misses the pair of them. Emotional music plays as he and Daphne say how much they love each other, then he backs down the drive (and over a small kitten. Just joking)
At the coffee shop
Mrs Mangel asks Sally about her catering course - she wants to know if the course included customer service. When Sally replies that it did she asks if they taught her the correct way to serve drinks. Sally, getting grumpy, says not much and she doesn't see the reason for all these questions. Mrs Mangel points out that Mrs Clarke is her closest friend... Sally apologises again and goes to clean the kitchen. Harold warns Mrs Mangel that Sally is a good worker but Mrs Mangel thinks it is a good idea to keep her on her toes.
At the office
Helen says she is pleased Paul found the time to say goodbye to Gail, but thinks he could have driven her to the airport. He assures her they are fine and tells her to stop worrying. Beverly comes into the office to invite Helen for dinner again but Helen can't, Lucy is coming home. She invites Beverly to eat with them instead. Helen asks Paul to join them too. Beverly's pager goes off - Steven Armstrong has had a car accident and he needs her.
At the coffee shop
Des comes to pick Harold up and tells him he'll finish clearing up while he gets settled in the car. After Harold leaves he tells Sally he knows she took the photo, and that she's been asking questions about him and his family. He wants to know what is going on.
