Shane tells Paddy that Daphne is better. He still isn't coming to Brisbane though - he says maybe he should settle down for a bit. Paddy says her parents had things planned for her too, but she broke away to be free. She thinks Shane needs to do the same thing - to think about what he needs to do with his life. He decides that she's right and tells her he'll be packed in five minutes.
Ramsays
Charlene mentions that Shane is heading off to Brisbane to see Max and Maria and Madge's father doesn't look very pleased. Tom comes in and isn't pleased to find his father there - they haven't spoken in ten years. Madge thinks it's weird that he should turn up without Edna.
Madge and Tom sit down with Dan and ask where Edna is. He tries to evade the question. Madge gets a bit upset and thinks her mother is dead. Her father says that it would be good riddance if she was(!)
(Later)
Shane comes in and greets his grandfather in surprise. Dan says he doesn't know how long he's going to be staying. Madge goes to ring Max and Maria to see if they can shed any light on things.

Scott tells Lucy quietly that he might have an idea to help them both.
Ramsays
Madge and Tom are exasperated with Dan. Dan says they can show him to his room(!) but Tom says he's not staying with them. Madge says that there isn't enough room for him - the house is full. Shane says that Dan can have his room - he's off on a trip to Brisbane. Dan is delighted while Madge despairs.
Robinsons
Scott and Lucy are playing Monopoly. Helen and Paul are just leaving for the musical while Scott fumes quietly.
When Helen and Paul have gone, Scott tells Lucy to give him a call at Jenny's place in a case anything happens. Then he leaves for the party.
Ramsays
Madge wonders what Dan is trying to hide from them. Tom says that Dan is Ramsay to the core - stubborn.
Charlene is dressed up in a pink dress to go to the party and Madge reminds her to be back by 11pm.
Dan comes out and complains that his bed is uncomfortable. He asks Madge where Henry is these days. Madge tells him shiftily that he's travelling overseas.
Madge tells Dan that they shouldn't be fighting and they shouldn't have secrets. She asks him again where her mother is, but he won't tell her.
Clarkes
Charlene and Jane are waiting for Mike to be ready for the party. Just then Scott koncks on the door and says he's coming to the party anyway - apparently they swapped chores so he could fit the party in.
Robinsons
Lucy is watching the scary film and eating crisps. The phone rings and it's Helen calling from the theatre. She wants to talk to Scott, but Lucy says he's in the shower.

Dan is moaning that Charlene is going out again and not spending time with him. Tom tells her to take no notice of him.
The phone rings and Madge is called away.

Scott, Mike, Jane and Charlene are talking about how good the party was, and Lucy was fine too.
Madge comes up and calls Charlene and Scott into the Robinson house.

Helen, Paul and Madge talk about Scott and Lucy about their evening. But apparently Scott has been sprung - Jenny's mother mentioned to Madge that there was damage done at the party.
Paul is angry with Scott but Scott says that Paul is unreasonable. Paul says that Scott is grounded for a month. Scott is defiant.
Just then Jim comes in having caught an earlier flight. Scott says that he's pleased to see him and explains the situation. Jim says that Paul was in charge while he was away and his punishment must stand.
