In a car in Lassiter's car park
Hope leaves a message for her mum to call her back. Amber wishes her luck. Hope insists that her mum's alive, but Amber's doubtful.

AMBER: We just had to kill my dad!

She says she can't contact any of her family. Hope says that since the bites are spreading, it could be the whole town. There's no reception on the car radio, so they worry that it may have spread further. Hope admits that she hoped her dad would be among the ones who came back, saying she wasn't even born when he died. Then she tells Amber to start the car. Robbo is standing in front of the bonnet. Amber knocks him down and stops the car. But he gets up and and she can't restart the engine, so they get out and Robbo starts chasing them. Meanwhile, Paul is being chased by Stingray and other zombies. They end up outside Harold's.

Harold's
Karl opens the door and they get in just in time. Susan is lying there, and Amber is horrified that they are trapped with someone infected. Karl assures her he's almost certain he's found a cure. The zombies are banging on the door, trying to get in, and Karl instructs the others to barricade the door.

Outside, David is watching from a distance. Kyle is wielding a baseball bat.

KYLE: OK, you bunch of brain- munchers. Come and get me.

A zombie standing behind him almost does just that. He runs away, shouting for his gran.

David knocks on the door, and asks to be let in. Amber points out that he's one of "them".

KARL: He hasn't shown any violent tendencies.
PAUL: What, apart from trying to kill me.
DAVID: Who doesn't want to kill you Paul?

Paul looks pleadingly at Karl.

DAVID: Oh, that was a joke!

Paul insists that David's in his last phase, and if he lets David in, they're as good as dead.

PAUL: Listen, it's us or them. It's your choice.

Karl decides not to let David in. David sees Stingray coming round the side of the building. He's acting very zombie- like, and David runs away. Inside, Paul says it had to be done. Amber and Karl ask Paul how he knew so much about it.

PAUL: You really want to know? I brought them back! Yeah! It was me.

Outside, David gets into a car. A large group of zombies are banging on the door and windows of Harold's.

Inside, Amber and Karl are still talking to Paul. Paul claims that bringing back zombies is just like resusciting patients in ER.

KARL: When I do that, thay've been dead for minutes, not years.
PAUL: Technical limitations.
KARL: People I resuscitate don't tend to go around biting others.
PAUL: Oh! Side effects, Karl, side effects.
KARL: Is that what you call this? Side effects!

Amber asks why Robbo, and Paul says it was a mistake, but he wanted to give people who were special to the community another chance at life. Karl asks why he would go to all this trouble. Susan pipes up, saying it was because of Kate.

PAUL: Yeah, Kate and Priya and Cameron.
KARL: Paul, loss is a natural part of life.
PAUL: Well it's been a big part of mine, Karl.

Outside the zombies continue to bang on the door and windows.

SUSAN: Why am I not surprised? Paul Robinson, responsible for the end of mankind. Would have made a good headline.

The zombies break in, and there is a scream as the screen fades to black.

Beach
David is standing looking out to sea. It's sunrise (or sunset).

DAVID: Lil, Serena, if you're out there, I'm coming to get you.
