As Nicolette and Terese bid farewell to the Tanaka's, Nicolette is looking at the positives of not being pregnant - no more restrictions on her diet!
Krista stops Leo from going to pick Abby up to confess that she is relived Nicolette isn't pregnant and then drops a bigger bombshell - that she doesn't want to have this baby [with Nicolette]. He looks utterly crestfallen at what he's heard and isn't looking forward to breaking the news to Nicolette either because he knows she will be heartbroken. Krista wonders how they can tell Nicolette, as she doesn't want Nicolette to take it personally. "How can she not," Leo replies with and hasn't twigged that Krista doesn't want a baby full stop, he's thinking she doesn't want them to use Nicolette.
KRISTA: Leo, I don't want that either. I've just realised that I can't parent a newborn… at all.
Number 24
The choux buns (well chocolate éclairs) the trio have made look very tempting, and everyone looks like they have enjoyed themselves too. When Nicolette arrives home, Clint decides its time to take Addison back to the penthouse suite and Jane asks how it went. "Leo was disappointed," Nicolette replies with but equally everyone knew "it could take time." Jane then asks how Krista took the news and Nicolette replies she was quiet, but is putting that down to her having had a long day.

While respecting Krista's bombshell, Leo wishes she had said something, so they hadn't got so far in the process. He then wonders where they go next and was not expecting Krista says she wants them to foster! Just at that Clint brings Addison back and Leo uses that as an excuse to go and get Abby.
Having overheard the conversation as they entered, Addison asks if it is her that they are considering fostering but Krista backtracks and explains she was just taking generally and she/Leo still have to discuss it fully too.
Number 22
Terese is surprised to see Paul in a new [Lacoste] polo shirt when he arrives home as he wasn't wearing it earlier and jokes that Taye's influence is rubbing off on him which is denied by Paul! Attention though is changed to Paul hoping to persuade Jimmy and Amy to come back to Erinsborough - we hear the lad wants to return but they'd have to persuade Amy to upsticks too. Terese accuses him of being sneaky in using his grandchild to get his daughter home or "tactical" is how Paul is describing it! We hear that Tash/Andrew still have to be worked on though.
Paul is thrilled to see Abby and Leo arrive at the house and Terese takes the wee lass aside to allow Leo to update Paul on Nicolette's bombshell.

Karl meets Sue ahead of another meeting regarding the freeway, she is hoping to find out how much she is going to get for her condemned house at the meeting. Karl wonders how her neighbours is taking the news, but Sue couldn't care less, she is only interested in the money for her house and quickly heads inside.
Karl hears a familiar voice calling him - Sam (only him, Annalise is home in Lorne). Sam's been trying to get hold of Karl to give him a heads up that he "might not be so popular once word starts to spread" and we hear that it is Sam's company that has won the contract to demolish the West Warratah houses. Mayor Brown interrupts the guys chatting to call them inside to get the meeting started.
Number 22
Despite the opportunities given, Leo isn't amused that Kirsta didn't let him know earlier about not wanting to have a baby. When Paul asks about the fostering Leo hasn't a clue and isn't sure his wife knows herself either, is questioning if "her judgement is just clouded by all this Addison stuff?"
Given the excess amount of éclairs made at #24, Nicolette drops by to drop some off but before anyone can dig in, Leo breaks the news that they need to talk!

Krista declares the éclair she's just eaten delicious but the atmosphere more resembles a wet weekend in Blackpool! Addison is asked to get some napkins from the kitchen to allow Krista to have a word with Clint before he heads home.
She apologises for hearing the conversation she had with Leo when he (and Addison) entered the apartment. He gets straight to the point and asks if she is hoping to foster Addison? That would be a no, because she doesn't want to get in between the pair of them. However, Clint changes the question slightly to ask if she wants to be the back up should things not work out for them and here, Krista doesn't want to commit to a reply without talking to Leo first.
KRISTA: Just know that I back you one hundred percent.
From the "sure" Clint replies with, he isn't exactly convinced as he swaps places with the newly arrived Nicolette, Leo and Abby.
Leo shoos Abby off to see Addison to allow the adults to talk privately and Nicolette is after confirmation that Krista hasn't changed her mind because of her.
KRISTA: It's not personal Nic.
NICOLETTE: Well, why does it feel like that?!
Krista repeats what she told Leo - that she can't parent a newborn as "it'd just be too triggering for me." From her non- reply, Nicolette gets it although Krista wishes she had realised it earlier and confirms that fostering is on the agenda, once she's discussed it with Leo.
An upset Nicolette heads off after hearing that, and Leo wants to know what his wife said to Clint/Addison after they heard their conversation. Krista thinks they believed her explanation of them just talking generally about fostering, and when they hear Addison come through to the living room, Leo suggests that they have a chat.
Community centre (outside)
At the meeting, Sue has heard her house is no longer being demolished and is irate at this news especially given she will now be "living right behind that blasted freeway!" Sam is tyring to sell the positiveness of it, but she isn't convinced at all and warns Mayor Brown she hasn't heard the last of this before storming off!
Penthouse suite
Krista and Leo explain to Addison, that it is her presence in the home which has convinced Krista to look into fostering. After the lassie asks, Krista explains that it won't be her they will be fostering, since she is hoping that Addison can work things out with her dad and perhaps in the future the pair of them will live together. Addison then asks if she is the one responsible for Krista's change of mind over the baby and is quickly reassured by them both that isn't the case and it isn't a burden for her to carry either.
From the look on Addison's face it is hard to judge how she is actually feeling but knows that she needs to give the adults space to chat and heads off to her room to allow them to do that.
Krista thanks Leo for his help in talking to Addison and asks if he's "ready to have a talk about the future?" but his reply is no due the fact he needs "some time to process everything."
Number 24
Jane consoles Nicolette over today's news and to reassure her, is simply calling it a "set back" and suggests she goes back to the original plan of finding a donor. "I guess," Nicolette says in response.
JANE: I don't say this often enough, but I am so very proud of you. I know that you're not perfect…
Nicolette interrupts to suggest her mum quits while she is ahead! Jane though isn't finished and continues her lovely speech:
JANE: You are a wonderful mother, and it would be a crying shame for any child to miss out on all of that love.
Lassiters Complex
Over a coffee in the complex, Karl hears from Sam how he won the contract to demolish houses as part of the freeway construction. Sam is enjoying life at the moment, and so too is Annalise even if the hotel is a bit of a change for her.
Their meeting ends, when the person Sam is meeting with next (Jonah Jackson but Sam calls him Jonesy) arrives in the complex and the pair head off to the pub.
Number 24
While Clint is actually there to invite Jane to join Addison/himself for breakfast, they naturally started talking first about the fostering bombshell that was dropped earlier. He admits his relief at the reassurance Krista has given over how nothing is going to change for himself/Addison.
When Jane resumes her position in front of the television, she gets glared at by both Nicolette and Sam!
NICOLETTE: French pastries today, breakfast tomorrow…
Jane reassures the pair she is simply supporting Clint/Addison and "there's really nothing more to it than that!"
Penthouse suite
Krista joins Leo in the balcony to apologise over her change of mind. While naturally disappointed, Leo though is worried over her going along with his plan "just for me" but her rationale is that she loves him so much. Leo reciprocates the 'I love you' too and she approaches again the fostering question but he's not ready to go there yet. However they reach a compromise by seeing how things go with Addison and a promise to have the conversation again later on.
Number 28 (next day)
Paul (in his lovely multi- tartan shirt!) pops over to offer Karl his ear should it be required what with the news coming out that Andrew is still living in the street for now. While he is there, Karl checks if Paul knows the guy Sam was meeting last night (no) and when Karl fills Paul in, they wonder if this is the 'Jonsey' that Elle was trying to track down, who has the connection to the Linwell brothers.
Harold's café
"I'm sorry things didn't work out," Addison says to Nicolette when she goes to the counter to pay for her drink. Nicolette is fine over it and does know (when Addison asks) about the fostering development between Krista/Leo.
Nicolette is then surprised to hear that Addison is taking off (for the library) rather than staying to have breakfast with her dad and Jane. The news about Jane is a surprise to Addison, especially given its two days in a row, but the lassie does seem pleased and plans to still to go the library to let the pair be together.
Addison is barely out the back door when Jane comes in the front door and immediately Nicolette says that they need to talk!
(Later)
Commercial break later and Nicolette admits to her mum that she fears Clint is using Addison to get to her. Jane doesn't read it the same way, going along with Clint's "safety in numbers thing." Nicolette points out that he told Jane it was 8am for breakfast but 9am to Addison, thus "that's an hour of your time where he has you as a captive audience."
JANE: I think you're reading too much into this!
NICOLETTE: Addison's thinking it too.
That seems to concern Jane, so she asks that the lassie's response was and so Nicolette explains how Addison "doesn't get why you're tagging along two days in a row" especially since Clint didn't give her "a heads up."
NICOLETTE: Look mum, all this stuff with Addison is really new. She's already a bit all over the shop because of Leo and Krista changing their plans.
JANE: Yeah, no, I can imagine.
NICOLETTE: I don't want to assume the worst of Clint, but he hasn't been honest in the past.
Jane wants to know what it is exactly that Nicolette is saying? And that would be, she doesn't want her mum to get hurt but equally she doesn't want Addison hurt either.
NICOLETTE: Until you're clear on his motives, maybe back off?
Nicolette heads out of the kitchen leaving Jane there alone and through the serving hatch, she sees Clint arrive in the café.
