Given the Unmissable Drama™ that is unfolding, the usual opening titles are eschewed today, in favour of a quick blue- sky title card with the Neighbours logo.

The Pavilion
Sadie, Taye and Felix watch from a short distance away as Andrew and Wendy talk.

WENDY: You're freaking me out. What's going on?
ANDREW: I, umm... I don't know where to begin. I'm so sorry to do this, now.
WENDY: Do what now? I mean, just say it.
ANDREW: ... I've been unfaithful.

Susan and Karl have now arrived for the ceremony too, and join the concerned onlookers.

WENDY: Wait. What?
ANDREW: It should never have happened. It's been the biggest mistake of my life.

Leo and Krista are now here as well, swelling the ranks of the spectators.

WENDY: You were unfaithful? Wait, what does that even mean?

It seems Sadie is close enough to hear what is being said.

SADIE: Dad?
ANDREW: I had an affair. But I ended it. Because I love you. I love you more than anything.
WENDY (shakily): Who? Who with?
ANDREW: ... Holly.

Wendy and Sadie both look stunned.

SADIE: What?
ANDREW: I'm so, so sorry.
WENDY: But she's... but she's pregnant.
ANDREW: It's mine.

Sadie looks disgusted. Horrified, Wendy turns and rushes from the Pavilion, through the crowd of assembled residents watching with concern. Sadie follows, and then Andrew behind her.

Ramsay Street
Holly is just leaving No 28 when Sadie leaps out of the car and storms towards her.

SADIE (screaming): How could you?!
HOLLY (crying): I'm so sorry.
SADIE: Out of all the people in the whole world!
HOLLY: I know.
SADIE (crying): He's my dad, Holly! My dad - you hooked up with my dad!

Wendy watches from across the road, static.

HOLLY (crying): Wendy, please, I can explain. I... I can't explain. But maybe, can we just go inside and talk?
SADIE: Talk?! Do you think talking is gonna help any of this?

Andrew has pulled up in the car with Felix, and goes over to Wendy, but...

WENDY (yelling): Get away from me!
ANDREW: Please.
WENDY: Both of you, just get away!

Wendy throws her bouquet of flowers to the floor and storms into No 26. Sadie rushes indoors after her. Holly now approaches Andrew, who is falling to pieces.

HOLLY: I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the baby sooner. I'm sorry I let it get this far.
ANDREW: Me too.
HOLLY: I just didn't want to wreck your life. I thought... I don't know what I thought. Just go to Wendy.

But Karl and Susan have now pulled up and are angrily approaching.

ANDREW: You're gonna have a lot of questions, I understand...

But Holly keeps urging him to go inside to Wendy. He apologises to the Kennedys before doing as he's told. Karl and Susan stare at Holly with disappointment and confusion.

Andrew begs to talk to Wendy, but Sadie makes it clear she's not leaving him alone with Wendy. Wendy is crying and can't look at him.

ANDREW: I did something really terrible. Really, really terrible. I just want to say that I wasn't thinking. I clearly wasn't.

Wendy turns to him, tearful.

WENDY (quietly): When did it start?
ANDREW (tearful): When Gavin Bowman was released.
WENDY: That was months ago.
SADIE: When Holly was still with Max?
ANDREW: We tried to end it, we really did. But then, uh... I dunno.
SADIE: You were sneaking around right under our noses. Oh, god, in this house?
ANDREW: No, no. It wasn't like that.
SADIE: You know what it is? It's disgusting. Holly. My best friend.
ANDREW: Just so you know, I ended it weeks ago. For good. I asked Holly about the baby, and she said that it wasn't mine. I had my doubts, and today she confirmed them. Wendy...
WENDY: No, don't. Don't.

Wendy collapses in tears into Sadie's arms. Andrew looks contrite, while Sadie glares at him.

Holly tells Susan and Karl that, however they're feeling about her right now, it can't be worse than how she feels about herself.

KARL (stunned): He's twice your age.
HOLLY (tearful): I know.
KARL: And he's Sadie's father. This is why you wanted to move away?
HOLLY: We knew that we couldn't stay here. it would cause too much hurt for everyone. Andrew promised to break up with Wendy by the time I got back. But then she had her accident. I guess it wasn't just that that made him change his mind. He still loves her. And I could feel him slipping away, even before I left. When I realised that I was pregnant, it wasn't my plan to tell Max or Andrew. But then Sadie assumed, and things just got away from me, and it just became a runaway train, and... But today it had to stop... How bad was it?
KARL: (groans)
SUSAN (terse): Wendy was devastated. I don't think she could believe it. *I* can't believe it.
HOLLY: I mean, looking back on it now, it all just feels like a crazy dream. Like... like a nightmare that I can't wake up from. But now I have, and here we are. And I have a baby that I have to think of.
KARL: Andrew's baby.

No 26
Sadie leads Wendy into the living room to sit on the sofa. Andrew is still lingering; he says he knows there's nothing he can say or do to make this better.

ANDREW: But just know that I love you. And I love our family. And if there's anything I can do to fix this... if there's any hope... I'll never stop trying.

Felix then comes in. Sadie asks if he knew; Andrew admits he told Felix about the affair when Wendy was in hospital.

WENDY: So you ended things with Holly because you felt sorry for me?
ANDREW: No. No, I decided before that, I swear.
SADIE: Were you gonna move away with her?
ANDREW: For a moment, that was the plan (...) It's not what I really wanted. Not truly. And I realised I was giving her false hope.
FELIX: I can vouch for that.
ANDREW: Holly knows it's over.
WENDY: Over? It is not over. She's having your child! (...) This will never be over. Just go! No, I cannot look at you anymore - just get out of my sight!

Andrew walks out looking guilty, while Sadie comforts a sobbing Wendy. Felix gives Andrew a disapproving glance, silently making it clear he's not going with him.

The Pavilion
It appears to have fallen to Leo to call Andrew's biological sister Gretchen, to tell her that the reception has been cancelled, so she and her dad Steven needn't bother coming. Leo fills Krista and Taye in on this development, saying he didn't give them any details. At this point, Max turns up looking chirpy.

MAX: Hey. Where is everyone? Have they kicked on already? I wasn't gonna come - I wasn't in the mood - but I thought, why not, you know?
TAYE: ... Bro, there's something you need to know.

And thus Max's brief good mood comes to an end!

No 28
Susan is busying herself in the kitchen, seemingly struggling to deal with Holly right now, while Karl sits on the sofa with Holly. Karl aays he's surprised and 'very disappointed'.

HOLLY: You're allowed to be angry too.

At this point Andrew lets himself in, and Susan's face says it all! Holly asks after Wendy and Sadie; Andrew reports that they're not good. Andrew is about to begin explaining himself to the Kennedys, when a tearful Max storms into the house, followed by Taye.

MAX: So it's true?
HOLLY: (nods)
MAX: Before we broke up?
HOLLY: I'm so sorry.

Max lunges towards Andrew, laying a hand on him, but Taye pulls Max backwards and restrains him.

MAX (sobbing, to Holly and then Andrew): How could you? How could *you*?

Wendy is looking out of the window, still crying. Sadie approaches from behind and comforts her. Felix watches them from the kitchen doorway.

No 28
Max, Andrew and Taye are still with Holly and the Kennedys. Max asks Holly if she's positive that the baby is Andrew's and not hers. She explains that she is - she had forgotten to take her birth control for a few days, which was when she unexpectedly hooked up with Andrew.

KARL: We can do a test to determine paternity.
HOLLY: Well, we should, but I know it's Andrew's (... to Max) I know that it's not an excuse, but... Sadie assumed it was yours, and I didn't correct her. But I couldn't go through with it any longer. That's why I said the thing about the one- night stand. I wanted to let you off the hook.
MAX: Well, now I know why you dumped me.
ANDREW: Max, I'm so sorry.
MAX: Yeah, I bet that's really comforting for Wendy and Sadie right now, too (!)

Max leaves to phone his parents. Taye offers to come with him, but Max tells him he needs to be alone, so Taye decides to go and check on Sadie instead. Looking furious, Karl approaches Andrew.

KARL: I'd like a word outside.

Andrew follows him into the garden.

ANDREW: I know you're probably furious with me. And I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to hit me.
KARL: Oh, I'd go further than that. I'm not gonna take you down publicly out of respect for my daughter, and out of respect for your wife... Why?
ANDREW: I'm sorry.
KARL: Why did you think you could take advantage of my daughter?
ANDREW: That's not what I was -
KARL: She's half your age! She's had a terrible run of relationships. People have hurt her -
ANDREW: I know.
KARL: And you're a police officer, for god's sake! When she was frightened of Gavin Bowman, we thought you were looking after her!
ANDREW: I was. Well, I was trying to. That's how it all started.
KARL: Andrew, you are a married man!
ANDREW: ... Just know that I really did try to fight it. I really did. This wasn't some seedy thing, Karl.

Karl laughs incredulously.

ANDREW: There were real feelings involved. Holly, she's an incredible person - she's wise beyond her -
KARL (yelling): Don't you tell me about my own daughter! You can't justify this!
ANDREW: I'm just trying to explain it. I'm not gonna deny I'm a man of a certain age -
KARL: Oh, how nice for Holly to be a conduit for your midlife crisis (!)
ANDREW: Mm. Yeah, there's something very weak in me. Very broken. I just thought, maybe... you might have a little understanding.

Karl's eyes widen as he realises what Andrew is saying!

Felix is talking to Wendy at the dining table. He says he knows Wendy must be angry with him too - which she agrees with! But he adds that just because Andrew's his brother, doesn't mean he's happy with his choices.

In the living room, Sadie is talking to Taye about it.

SADIE: It's just the most horrible, twisted thing ever. Like, my closest friend and my father?
TAYE: It's twisted.

Taye then tells Sadie about finding Holly's missing earring at the V-Bar, and that it was lost on the same day Andrew's credit card was overcharged there. Taye explains he messaged both of them about it. Sadie wonders if that's the reason they confessed.

Susan is looking judgy even as she drinks a glass of water.

HOLLY: Please just tell me what you're thinking.
SUSAN (restrained): ... I'm thinking that, umm, we need to focus on your wellbeing. You and the baby.

Karl and Andrew come in from the garden looking grave. Andrew repeats what he's apparently just told Karl - that he'll absolutely be here for the baby and for Holly in any way he can. Susan coolly tells him that they can talk about that later. Sadie then storms in, followed by Taye.

SADIE: Did you only confess cos you know you were gonna get caught?
ANDREW: No...
SADIE: So you didn't listen to the message I left you?
ANDREW: Err, what message? I haven't checked my phone in hours.
HOLLY: I knew you were trying to call. What are you talking about?

Taye shows Holly the earring from V-Bar lost property, and Sadie explains that they know it was lost on the same day Andrew's credit card was overcharged there. Holly admits they went to V-Bar a few times.

SADIE: Oh, nice (!) Was it your new go- to place? (...) Figure out what to do next? What cheap motel to check into?

Taye asks if Andrew was there the night he, Max and Sadie saw Holly at the V-Bar, and he admits he was.

SADIE: And it only gets worse.
ANDREW: Sadie, please - we don't have to do this.
SADIE: No, let's do it, Dad. Cos I want to figure out how my best friend and my dad managed to get it on behind everyone's backs. Come on - go ahead, give us all the details. (to Holly) You know, I was devastated when you pushed me away. I thought about you all the time. I wondered what I did wrong.
HOLLY: No, you never did anything.
SADIE: I was there for you when you told me about the baby. My dad's baby, Holly - my dad! (to Andrew) And you? I thought there was nobody better in this world than you. (screams) And yet you were screwing my best friend!
ANDREW: I'm sorry.
SADIE: Sorry doesn't mean anything. You know what? I will never, ever forgive either of you.

Sadie walks out in tears, leaving everyone else in silence.

Wendy is having a much deserved glass of wine when Sadie come in, followed by Taye. Sadie sits next to Wendy and they comfort each other. Andrew comes in the front door but Felix, who has been in the kitchen, silently shows him outside again. A montage begins, and we start with glum- looking Wendy and Sadie...

... then move to glum- looking Felix and Andrew back at the Varga- Murphys'....

The Waterhole
... and a tearful Max drinking at the bar, with Taye by his side.

On the sofa, Wendy sadly stares at the mood board she created for the vow renewal, Sadie watching from the doorway.

Holly is heading to bed, and looks back at Karl and Susan. She gets a smile from Karl, but Susan can't even look at her, perhaps as old memories resurface.

Andrew sits alone in the darkness, crying.

The following morning, Karl tells Susan that he had another chat with Holly last night, when neither of them could sleep.

KARL: Apparently Aaron knew about the affair. That's what his warning was all about... When I think about all the times that Holly's mentioned Izzy lately. Not that it's the same situation - I mean, you can't compare the two...

Susan says nothing, but doesn't look so sure about that!

Holly comes out of her room and joins them at the table, having eventually managed some sleep last night.

HOLLY: I kept thinking about what Sadie said. She's right of course - every word was true.
KARL: No, no. You can't discount what you've been through. You've been in a very vulnerable state of mind.
HOLLY: I made decisions. I knew they would hurt people, and I still made them.
KARL: No, no. Andrew should have known better.
HOLLY: It's not all on him. I should've known too.
SUSAN: How do you feel about Andrew now?
HOLLY: ... Well, I have no choice but to accept his decision. He wants Wendy, not me.
SUSAN: How do you *feel*?
HOLLY (sadly): ... I still love him.

Ramsay Street
Holly and Andrew walk up to one another. He asks her how she's feeling.

HOLLY: Kinda numb. You?
ANDREW: Same.
HOLLY: I still haven't spoken to Wendy.
ANDREW: She'll come to you when she's ready.

Wendy and Sadie come down the driveway with bags; Sadie gives Andrew a look as she sees he's been speaking to Holly, and tells Wendy she doesn't know if she believes their reasoning for coming clean. Wendy looks sadly over at Holly, but doesn't say anything.

Andrew asks where Wendy and Sadie are headed. Sadie says they're staying at a hotel in the city.

SADIE: Not that it's any of your business. You know, you should probably pack your bags while we're gone.
WENDY: ... Come on, Sadie.

They get in the car. Andrew goes back over to Holly as they drive off.

HOLLY: I wish she'd just scream at me.

As Holly goes indoors, Felix shows up. He thinks it might not be a bad idea that Wendy and Sadie have some time away.

ANDREW: Mm. I've got to talk to Cara.
FELIX: You're gonna get your chance soon. She and JJ are ten minutes away.
ANDREW (sighs): I don't know what I'm gonna say.
FELIX: You've been honest about Holly. Now it's time to be honest about Greg.

Andrew nods grimly.
