Penthouse
Leo and Krista are talking about her and Zac's success in securing the Inspiring Young Persons Award, which the hotel will be hosting 'about a month from now'. Leo tells Krista he's catching up with Nicolette today to discuss some Yorokobi stuff, and invites her to join them for coffee.
Addison comes in ready to leave for school, and we learn that she's meeting Clint for lunch at Harold's later. Leo says it's good they're seeing each other again; Addison thinks he seems like a nice guy, 'so far'. Addison leaves.
Leo asks what Clint's living situation is. Krista tells him that Clint lives in Eden Hills.
LEO: Do you think there's a chance he could take on Addison?
KRISTA: Umm, yeah, I guess that's something we can discuss when the time comes.
But Leo looks impatient as if he would like to discuss it now!
Lassiter's Complex
Still shocked from the news of Greg's death, Cara sits down outside the café with Andrew and Felix, and tells them what she knows.
CARA: He was driving down the coast along Port Welshpool.
FELIX: Near Wilson's Prom?
CARA: Yeah. Apparently, they had some rain last night, and roads were slippery...
ANDREW: I mean, could he still be out there? In the water?
CARA: Uh, they're searching. But they said it's unlikely, given how the car went off the cliff.
FELIX: So it was an accident?
CARA: I dunno. They're still investigating. Just the thought of him out there, drifting...
FELIX: I'm so sorry, Cara.
CARA: I just want to know what happened to him (...) This can't have anything to do with the Linwells, can it?
ANDREW: I wouldn't think so.
CARA: But what if it *was* them? What if they did this?
ANDREW: Cara, you shouldn't be thinking about this sort of stuff right now, okay?
CARA (tearful): What am I gonna tell the boys?
Erinsborough High School
Addison and JJ are walking through the corridor. Jane approaches and asks if Addison managed to get the science textbook she needed. Addison says that Krista has bought it for her. Jane walks off, pleased.
JJ: Sounds like things are going great at the Penthouse, then?
ADDISON: Honestly, it's the safest I've felt in a long time. And it's better than sleeping on this floor.
At this point Addison notices that a sombre- looking Cara has shown up. JJ turns to see her, and realises she's here to deliver bad news...
Harold's Café
Nicolette and Leo are working on Yorokobi business. Paul turns up and asks them how the vineyard is going without Byron.
NICOLETTE: It's been months, Paul. Why are you asking?
PAUL: You know, just curious about your long- term plans. Well, you know things are gonna get pretty busy once the baby comes along.
LEO: I'm sure we can manage.
Elle comes in all dressed up, and Leo asks why. She tells him it's 'none of your beeswax'. She realises she's forgotten her phone, but Paul passes it to her, having brought it along. He's aware that Elle is dressed up for her date with Felix, and doesn't look too happy about it.
PAUL: I'm just telling you, the man is a thug.
NICOLETTE: Well, lucky he's got the hots for your daughter, and not for you, Paul. (to Elle) If it's any consolation, I think you and Felix would make a really cute couple, but... I'm just saying that to annoy your dad.
ELLE (laughs): Thank you...?
Paul and Elle leave. Nicolette is suspicious about why Paul was asking about Yorokobi. But Leo is more concerned to talk about Clint and what Nicolette thinks of him. She reports that he's 'a bit iffy' as a relationship prospect, but that in terms of being a father to Addison, Jane seems to think his intentions are good. Leo says he thinks so too.
Nicolette then gets a call from Jane, seemingly informing her of Cara's bad news about Greg...

Andrew and Felix are having a hushed discussion about Greg.
FELIX: Do you think he's really dead?
ANDREW: Well, the police said that he is.
FELIX: He was up to his neck in it; his car conveniently goes over a cliff. There's no body found...
ANDREW: I know.
FELIX: I mean, Greg had a lot of reasons to want to vanish off the face of the earth.
At this point Cara comes in with JJ, who is upset to have learned of Greg's death. Felix gives him a hug.
FELIX: I'm so sorry, bud.
JJ: So, like, are the police certain that he's dead? You know, cos if they haven't found his body...
ANDREW: They're pretty sure.
Cara wanders into the sunroom, still in shock. JJ follows her, and they both gaze sadly at the tool bench where they've been doing all the woodwork with Greg. JJ puts his arm around Cara. Back indoors...
FELIX (whispering): What do we do?
ANDREW: We wait to hear what the police have to say. Go from there.
The Pavilion
Elle has arrived for her date with Felix, and looks around expectantly. She checks her phone for any messages from him, but there's nothing. She sends a message to him, saying simply, 'Hello?' and looks increasingly disappointed as she continues to wait...
Harold's Café
Leo is still working when Clint wanders in and greets him - he's here to meet Addison for lunch but is a bit early. Clint admits he's nervous but excited about seeing her again. He tells Leo that he and Krista have been amazing taking Addison in.
LEO: Oh, well, it's our pleasure, honestly... but, umm, is it maybe something you've been thinking about?
CLINT: What, having Addison move in with me?
LEO: Oh, I just meant, is it an option? I don't know your living situation, so...
CLINT: Well, I'm in a two- bedder, and it's just Mum and I. Although she has agreed to go into care soon.
LEO: Oh, I'm sorry. That must be tough.
CLINT: Well, it's been a long time coming, but thank you. I mean, the thought of having Addison move in with me... I mean, we barely know each other.
Leo looks disappointed.
CLINT: And there's a lot I need to tell her today.
LEO: What, like, about you and Jane?
CLINT: And the thefts. Kinda all of it, you know? I'm surprised she hasn't heard about it from school already.
LEO: Well, look, I'm sure she'll appreciate the honesty. Good luck.
Leo leaves, and Clint looks nervous.

Nicolette has joined Cara, JJ and Felix in the sunroom to express her condolences. Cara says she feels numb, and JJ says it still doesn't feel real. Andrew comes in, finishing up a call with 'Trev', one of the police officers from Port Welshpool.
ANDREW: It's definitely an accident, with no other vehicles involved.
CARA: Well, how can they be sure?
ANDREW: Greg's car was caught on a petrol station CCTV, travelling south about 11pm. It was the only car on the road.
CARA: Are they still looking for him?
ANDREW: They've called the search off. The conditions out in the water are pretty bad.
Nicolette comforts Cara as she processes this news, while Andrew and Felix head back into the house.
FELIX: So that's that?
ANDREW: The police are satisfied.
FELIX: Yeah, but they don't know what *we* know.
ANDREW: Mm... The investigation's done. It's good enough for me.
But Felix doesn't look entirely comfortable with this.
The Pavilion
Elle has finished her coffee and is still waiting for Felix. He hasn't replied to her text. Upset, she decides enough's enough and gets up to leave.

In the sunroom, Cara is talking to Nicolette about Greg.
CARA: I just hate the idea of his final days being all alone. He could've been here with us.
NICOLETTE: You can't dwell on things like that. It's gonna be rough for a while, but you are gonna get through this.
CARA: I wish he was as good at talking to me as he was at DIY.
NICOLETTE: What was your last conversation like? Was it a good one?
CARA: Yeah. It was, actually. I told him something I've never told anyone... I was outed, in high school. By Tania.
NICOLETTE: Like, mob wife Tania Linwell?
CARA (laughs): Yeah. We were best friends at the time. Anyway, Dad was amazing. He gave me some really good advice. That's why I was so upset when he left so suddenly.
NICOLETTE: Sounds like he *was* good at talking.
CARA: Yeah, when he wanted to.
NICOLETTE: Can't believe Tania did that to you. You know, I never went to Andrew's self- defence classes, but if you need me to sort her out...?
Nicolette jokingly mimes punching Tania Linwell, which makes Cara chuckle. But she says it's nothing she can't handle on her own.
Nicolette gets a phone call from Sam; she's meant to be meeting her and Jane for lunch. Nic doesn't answer it, wanting to stay and support Cara. But Cara tells her to go - she'll be fine on her own for a while.
Harold's Café
Addison is looking a bit worried after Clint has told her everything about his previous relationship with Jane and his theft of cleaning products.
CLINT: Have I scared you off?
ADDISON: No. I just wasn't expecting it.
CLINT: Hmm. I know it's disappointing.
ADDISON: You had your reasons for stealing. Mum's done worse.
CLINT: And Jane and I seem to be moving past it. I hope you and I can too.
But Addison doesn't give him an answer - just says that she has to get back to school, and leaves. Nonetheless, they appear to part on reasonably friendly terms. But Clint looks worried once she's gone.
Harold's Lakeside
Addison leaves via the back door and find Leo on the decking area, who is eager to know how her meeting with Clint went.
ADDISON: Fine. Aside from learning that Miss Harris was hooking up with my thief of a father.
LEO: Ah. Well, that can't have been easy.
ADDISON: No, it wasn't.
LEO: Hey, look - I know it might have been a bit of a shock, but he does care about you.
ADDISON: Doesn't matter anyway. It's not like he's gonna stick around. I know the drill. He's gonna act like he cares, and then the novelty will wear off and he'll be gone.
LEO: No, come on, that's not true.
ADDISON: How do you know?
LEO: Well, I know he wants you to move in with him when you're ready.
ADDISON: He said that?
LEO: Yeah.
*Did* he say that, Leo? Really?
LEO: Yeah, we were talking about it earlier.
ADDISON: He just said that out of nowhere?
LEO: Well, no, I brought it up. But he wouldn't have said it if he didn't mean it.
Addison thanks Leo and walks off.
The Waterhole
Elle is moaning to Paul about Felix standing her up. Paul says he told her so.
ELLE: Yeah, but I didn't take him for a player. Why even ask me out?
PAUL: Darling, you deserve so much better than him.
ELLE: Yeah, I do.
They leave to head to the V- Bar. Meanwhile, Jane and Sam are at a table, and Nicolette comes in to join them, apologising for being late.
NICOLETTE: What did I miss?
SAM: We are going to Europe.
JANE: For Mike and Angela's wedding.
NICOLETTE: We?
JANE: Oh, no - Rose, Sam's mum, will be taking her. And she's gonna come via Melbourne to pick Sam up, and so we'll finally get to meet her.
Sam has to head to work, so leaves Jane and Nicolette to it. Nicolette reports that Cara and JJ are 'in shock'. She asks Jane how she feels about meeting Rose - and the Mike- and- Angela chats that are bound to happen as a result.
JANE: I'm fine, really. No, life has other plans for me.
No 30
Andrew and JJ are having a chat in the kitchen. JJ says he has spoken to both Dex and Remi, who are both in disbelief about Greg. Cara comes in, on the phone to her mum. Once she's finished the call, she explains that it has transpired Greg had a life insurance policy.
ANDREW (suspicious): Really?
CARA: Yeah. It's not millions, but there'll be some money coming in for Mum, and it'll help her a lot. It just makes it so much worse, you know? He struggled so much financially, and deserves that money for himself.
JJ: Instead he was thinking of Nan.
Andrew looks bothered by this new information.
V- Bar
Paul is fiddling with his phone while Elle carries in a box of glassware and slams it down.
PAUL: What did those glasses ever do to you?
ELLE: Certainly didn't stand me up at the Pavilion.
At this point, a contrite- looking Felix comes in. Paul tells him it's not a good time, but Elle tells Paul she can handle it as Felix approaches her to explain.
ELLE: Oh. What's your excuse?
FELIX: Greg died last night, in a car accident.
ELLE: ... What?
FELIX: Yeah, we've been dealing with the fallout.
ELLE: I'm so sorry. Cara must be devastated. And JJ too.
FELIX: Yeah, they're hurting pretty bad.
ELLE: Greg saved my life. He was such a nice guy.
FELIX: Yeah (!)
Elle is now fully understanding of why Felix didn't make their date, but he says he'd like to rearrange it for another time. Elle says she would like that too. Felix gazes around the bar. Elle says he probably needs to get home, but...
FELIX: Well, I've come all this way. How about giving me a tour?
ELLE: ... Well, this is pretty much it.
FELIX: I mean, a tour of the drinks menu. How about it, Red? I could use the distraction.
Elle smiles at him.
Harold's Café
Nicolette and Leo are talking about whether Jane might be 'catching the feels' for Clint again. Nicolette initially says not, but then notes that she 'did have that look in her eye'. Krista comes in, on the phone to someone about the Inspiring Young Persons Award. She takes a picture of the Harold's menu, telling Nic and Leo that they might hold the event in here.
Nicolette than gets a text, and gasps with excited surprise - an Eclipse apartment has become available. Nicolette and Leo suggest that Krista, as owner of the hotel, should lean on Dieter, the rentals manager, to let Nic have the apartment. Krista tells them she'll call him right now, and heads outside to do so.
Lassiter's Complex
Krista leaves the café while leaving a voice message for Dieter, asking him to call her back about the apartment. But at this point, she sees Addison on a nearby bench. Krista goes over and asks why Addison isn't in school, but then sees she's crying, and sits down next to her. Dieter calls Krista back, but now preoccupied with Addison, she cancels the call and asks her what's wrong.
ADDISON: Leo was talking to Clint earlier. He asked if I could stay at his place.
KRISTA: Sorry, what?
ADDISON: He obviously doesn't want me at yours, and... I can't go stay with Clint.
KRISTA: Hey, hey -
ADDISON: I'll sort something out. I just need time.
KRISTA: You don't have to do anything right now, okay?
She tries to comfort Addison while looking peeved at Leo's intervention.
V- Bar
Felix and Elle are having cocktails.
FELIX: Not bad.
ELLE (laughs): You'd prefer a beer, wouldn't you?
FELIX: Probably more my style.
Felix says he should get home, and Elle asks Cara to tell him she's thinking of her, in spite of their tricky recent history. Felix is sure she'll appreciate it. Someone smashes some glasses and Elle goes to sort it out, giving Paul an opportunity for another pop at Felix as he prepares to leave.
PAUL: Not so fast. If you do anything to hurt my daughter, you're gonna have me to answer to. Is that clear?
FELIX: No offence, but I'm probably more afraid of Elle.
Paul looks peeved as Felix leaves.
Ramsay Street
Andrew is telling Felix about the revelation of the life insurance Greg had.
FELIX: Enough for Greg to fake his own death?
ANDREW: I dunno. I mean... I don't want to think it, but...
FELIX: But it's a possibility.
ANDREW: I don't know what to do.
FELIX: Mate, I know a part of you wants to bury your head in the sand about this, but... we should look into this ourselves.
ANDREW: Go down to the crash site?
FELIX: Yeah, it's a start. See if we can find anything sus.
But at this point, Cara comes over to join them. Andrew doesn't tell her about their suspicions that Greg could have faked his death, but says that he and Felix want to go down to Port Welshpool to 'check things out' and get 'peace of mind'. Cara says she would come with them, but Remi has just called - and she and Dex are now on their way back to Erinsborough from Apollo Bay.
ANDREW: You stay here. Be with them. Me and Felix can go. We're probably not gonna find anything; I just want to really put this thing to bed, you know?
CARA: Thank you.
An emotional Cara gives Andrew a hug, then asks them to let her know how it goes. She heads back indoors, while Andrew and Felix look apprehensive.
Penthouse
Krista comes in, and demands to know if Leo asked Clint if Addison could move in with him. Leo denies it.
KRISTA: She says that you did! Leo, she thinks that you don't want her here.
LEO: Slow down. I never said that.
KRISTA: Are you sure? Because, you know, you asked me about it earlier.
LEO: I sounded out Clint to see if it would be an option further down the track, and he seemed interested. Well, I only told Addison cos I was trying to cheer her up.
KRISTA: Okay, but you did the opposite!
LEO: Well, she must've taken it the wrong way. That's not on me!
At this point, Nicolette storms in demanding that 'someone's head needs to roll'!
NICOLETTE: Dieter didn't take your instruction, and he gave the apartment to someone else!
LEO: Wait - you did call him, didn't you?
KRISTA: Yes, I did, and he didn't answer me. And when he called me back, I was with Addison.
NICOLETTE: What? Krista! You knew how important this was to us!
Leo asks Nicolette to give them a minute alone, so she heads back into the lift, looking annoyed.
KRISTA: Okay, I am sorry. It was an oversight.
LEO: I don't want you to be sorry. I want you to be honest with me.
KRISTA: What?
LEO: Well, you just had a go at me for something completely unfair, and then I find out you were with Addison instead of focusing on something important for us! Look, what are your priorities? Are they with Addison, or the baby we're meant to be having?
Krista looks annoyed and defensive.
