Number 26
Sadie is tyring to insist that there is nothing going on but then Taye goes and blurts out that Holly is pregnant! While Sadie/Taye argue over what he's done, Max is in stunned land and eventually runs out of the house.
Ramsay Street
The duo follow Max out of the house just as Andrew/Wendy have arrived home. They naturally wonder what is up and Taye says its related to a poker game before following the others to the front door of #28 where Max is knocking on it furiously!
Number 28
When Holly opens the door, Max storms in and demands to know if it's true - is she pregnant?! Seconds later the duo arrive and Taye is the one to confirm he told Max (Sadie was quick to get in that it wasn't her) and Holly has little option to but confirm that yes, she is pregnant.
Harolds café
Cara confirms to Felix that she hasn't spoken to her dad, because he's refusing to take her calls, just emoji reactions to her text messages. She is still very down at him taking off without saying anything but Felix doesn't think Greg taking off is anything out of the ordinary.
Paul picks up that there is something going on between Felix/Elle when he spots the looks the pair share when they enter the café. Elle confirms that nothing is happening yet… but she's "working on it!" Paul isn't too amused she is interested in someone "intellectually inferior" to her, which Elle isn't too amused with!
At the table, Cara has picked up on things too but Felix is quick to say there is nothing, adding that with the drama Elle causes, he's "steering well clear!"
Number 28
Holly asked the duo to leave so she can talk to Max alone. After he hears how far along she is, he quickly does the maths and realises that conception would have been just before they broke up. She is quick to confirm that knowing about the pregnancy is why they broke up. Max puts his thoughtful head back on and asks how she is and the reply is "overwhelmed" especially at "the idea of having a baby."
HOLLY: I haven't decided if I want either of those things.
Max takes that news stoically and reassures her that he's there for whatever she needs.
Ramsay Street
Taye/Sadie are having a huge barney on the street over the pregnancy, so much so that they've attracted Andrew's attention again. After Sadie quietly and quickly told him not to say the truth, they stick to their 'poker' story when Andrew questions their barney. Sadie isn't amused at Taye saying anything to her dad, but Taye felt that he had to say something to cover things up.
SADIE: You know, some of us should be a bit more careful with the hand we've been dealt.
Harolds café
Karl is still curious what this forthcoming council meeting is about when he and Susan enter the café. Paul picks up on their chatter and adds in that he's heard it "involves a lot of money and West Warratah."
When she happens to pass her table, Cara can't resist questioning Elle about Felix. Elle firmly puts any vibe they do have as "loyalty over lust" but Cara is unsure about the 'loyalty' comment, so Elle can't but get a dig in how Cara is "the only one around here who thinks I'm a pariah."
Number 28
Holly explains where she got the information on terminations and Max knows that "it's your choice" and will support Holly in whatever she decides.
HOLLY: I'm really sorry for dragging you into this.
MAX: Hey no. it takes two to make a baby. Okay. I'm here in whatever capacity you want me to be.
He then asks her to "just pretend I'm someone else for a second," and asks how she is "feeling about the baby?" Holly admits that she "doesn't know" because she "never really thought about having kids" as there "are so many other things that I want to do" and the thought of committing to raising a child "would completely change everything." Max does think she'd be a great mum, which Holly isn't too sure about and questions if this pregnancy "happened for a reason?" Max admits that he's always had a "paternal instinct" especially after the involvement he has with his sister and in his future, he "always sees kids in it."
MAX: If you do decide to go through with the pregnancy, I'm so willing to be a hands- on dad.
He then quickly realises that he might be pressurising Holly and she is just about to say that there is a chance he isn't the daddy when Karl and Susan arrive home. They pick up that something is going on, and offer to eat their cakes outside but she tells them no and since the word is already out, breaks the news to them.
HOLLY: I'm pregnant.
(Later)
Holly apologises to the pair if they are disappointed in her but it is the total opposite, they are sorry she's had to deal with this news on her own. After Susan asks, Holly confirms she hasn't known for long and while not admitting he is shocked (after Karl asks), Max reaffirms that he is there for Holly "however I can." Karl rightly guesses this is what Holly wanted to talk to Izzy about, and she asks the pair not to say anything to her, and Karl offers to support Holly when she does break the news to Izzy.
HOLLY: I haven't decided if I want to keep the baby or not.
SUSAN: Well, whatever you choose, your dad and I will support you.
KARL: One hundred percent. We love you.
Holly feels that the time factor is not helping her "think straight" but the K's are quick to really support the scared Holly.
In the background, it is hard to understand if Max feels left out of them supporting Holly or relived he's not the one having to do that.
Number 26 (garden)
As they continue the vow renewal planning, Wendy admits she can't wait for it to happen. She reveals to Andrew that she was concerned a few weeks ago if they'd ever be "this happy again." "Me too," Andrew replies and works with Wendy on the decorations for theme they are going with. Both of them like different ones, so they ask Sadie for her opinion but she's in world of their own to reply initially. Eventually she reveals what was occupying her mind - the changes Taye is planning to do at the V Bar although Andrew is surprised to hear Taye now works there and that Paul/Elle own it too!
Number 30
Andrew calls by to tell Felix about the V Bar's new owners and how everything is "a bit too close for comfort" especially since the credit card charge hasn't been sorted out yet.
When Cara comes into the kitchen, Andrew decides its time to head out jogging and so misses out on the beers Cara hands out when she joins Felix on the sofa. The pair start chatting about Elle and Cara concedes that "regardless of Elle's antics," the Linwell's would have tracked her down. Felix doesn't think her change of mindset should excuse what Elle did, which Cara agrees with but equally doesn't "want to waste any headspace" thinking about it or letting it get in the way of his "love life!"
FELIX: That's generous of you!
Should he be into Elle, Felix doesn't think anything would happen since he hasn't anything to offer "a woman like that." Cara is quick to point out that "Elle's not that great" plus he shouldn't sell himself short either.
CARA: I reckon you two deserve each other.
Number 28
Holly admits to Karl/Susan that she is unsure whether she is cut out to be "a good parent." Susan is quick to reply that she is "a strong, resilient woman" who has "a lot of love to give" but first she needs to work out what she wants to do. Karl backs Susan up on that point and Holly admits to trying to picture herself with a baby and looking into their eyes "and being reminded of everything that I can't have."
HOLLY: That feeling of resentment really terrifies me. But then other times, I can imagine like laying on the grass… me and my baby and its dad and feeling happy. Like, really fulfilled. But what's worse? Making a decision based on fear or a pipe dream?
KARL: Well, what's worse is not doing what's best for you. Your health, your happiness.
Holly invites them both to her next appointment, which they both readily agree to, before their conversation is interrupted by a knock at the door. Sadie is the caller and the K's give the girls some space to chat privately.
Sadie immediately apologises for her role in how the pregnancy news came out but Holly is grateful for their friendship and Max finding out was the push she needed to tell Karl/Susan "and their support has been a real comfort" she adds. Holly asks though that until she's figured out what's next, "no- one else can know."
Number 32 (garden)
Taye joins Max in the pool and despite Sadie being peeved at what he did, Taye thinks telling Max was the right thing to do. Max is grateful that Taye did tell him.
TAYE: The thought of babies and parenthood at our age… that's crazy.
While Taye might think it is funny, Max can actually picture himself "being a dad" and can't see any negatives. Taye is highly amused that Max wants this and almost rolls his eyes at the thought of having to put your career on hold like his sister did when JJ/Dex were young. Max admits that he'd be happy being a stay at home dad should Holly want to go back to work or if she didn't, he could support her as he earns a decent wage now his apprenticeship is finished. Again, the fact Max has "really thought this through" (until Holly decides things) highly amuses Taye.
Lassiters Complex
Paul gives Felix his evil stare when Elle asks for some privacy to talk to Felix after running into him when he exited Harolds.
FELIX: The knows how to work a brow!
Felix admits that Elle was correct, he is "a little curious" about her. He admits to changing his mind about fraternising "with the enemy" although he does know what they have in common since he's a "pretty ordinary guy" whereas she is "a woman who likes the finer things in life." Elle doesn't class herself as "fancy" and summarises herself instead as "a grown woman living in my dad's spare room." The pair then go tit- for- tat over who's had it worse but Elle doesn't seem to mind Felix's "colourful past."
ELLE: You seem non- egotistical, non- boring and down- to- earth, but if you think we've got nothing in common, then yeah, I respect that.
Number 26
Andrew is surprised to see the effort Wendy has gone to over dinner when he comes back from his jog - she thinks it's a good way to end the day after planning for the vow renewal and wants to enjoy some alone time with her man too.
WENDY: And, you know, that's… that's no pressure to… you know!
She eventually reclarifies this as it would be perfect to just talk and share a meal. Andrew thinks she shouldn't have exerted herself given how recently she was in hospital but she thinks "my wonderful husband is worth it." After those words, Andrew grabs his wife and the pair start pashing each other before he suggests that she joins him in the shower!
Number 32 (garden)
Holly (and Sadie) come over to lay down the law to the boys - she doesn't want anyone else knowing about her pregnancy. Readily, both agree to keep quiet and Taye follows his acceptance up by apologising for "how today played out," he was simply "looking out for Max." Holly does get that but Sadie interjects to say "it still wasn't right" however Holly doesn't want it hanging over them and asks "can we just let it go."
MAX: Factory reset on the vibes… done!
Sadie then gets a text message telling her to avoid coming home as its "mum and dad time," the metal image of her parents "banging" she does not need! Thankfully its dark so nobody sees Holly's reaction to Sadie's text and Taye suggests that the ladies hang out at #32 with them and join them for food.
Harolds café (next day)
The K's have decided to have breakfast out although it looks like Karl needs his coffee on and IV given we hear he apparently didn't sleep much. It's still playing on his mind Holly's apology for disappointing them and given all the lass has been through, he wonders how this pregnancy news is going to affect her.
KARL: Not to mention the impact of having a child will have on her future.
Susan is happy that Holly has "access to choices."
SUSAN: She knows that we support her, so whatever happens, we'll get through it.
Karl is in agreement with her sentiment but seems relived that "the father is as respectful as Max," given he appears "willing to be guided by what Holly wants." While Susan agrees with what Karl has said, she did does wonder what Holly was talking about when she referred to "this perfect family fantasy."
SUSAN: I just hope if she goes through with the pregnancy, she doesn't jump back into a relationship, purely for that reason.
Paul and Elle are chatting about Taye's plans for the V Bar when they enter the café and Felix comes over to interrupt them.
PAUL: Why do you keep following us?!
Felix points out that he was in the café before them, however Paul gets the feeling that he isn't wanted and so leaves the pair to chat when he heads to a nearby table. Now they are alone, Felix asks Elle if she is still interested in grabbing a drink (she is) so they agree to meet for lunch at the pavilion.
Lassiters Complex
Felix runs into his brother/Cara on exiting the café and they notice change in demeanour, so he tells them about his date with Elle [but a more completed version of how it came about!]. The pair are happy at the news, with Cara gloating that her "heat radar is always right!"
Cara then leaves the brothers to take a call and it doesn't sound like it's a happy call as we hear her say "oh my gosh." From her demeanour when she ends the call, Andrew can tell something has happened - the call was from the police to say they've found Greg's car.
CARA: It went off a cliff.
Felix asks when this happened and she replies it was last night before adding that the car also exploded.
CARA: Dad's dead.
Coming up on Neighbours
