- Elle meeting up with Greg.
- A very fast moving car heading straight for Elle!
Power Road
Greg springs to Elle's rescue by pulling her out of harm's way of the speeding car!
Police station
Cara updates Andrew on how Remi and the boys are going in their new location before showing him the research she's done on 'Jonesys'. Andrew curtails the chat when he spots Gretchen walking past the station and rushes outside.
Lassiters Complex
Coincidentally, Wendy is passing through the complex too and so gets Andrew's wrath for inviting Gretchen, when he asked her to wait. Before she gets a chance to respond, Cara interrupts to tell Andrew they need to go to Power Road where Elle was almost hit by a car.
Wendy then notices Sadie walking through the complex, laden with bags but is told not to ask!
Power Road
Elle is refusing to go to hospital to check her wrist out as Andrew/Cara question her. She explains about the car coming towards her but it's Greg who fills in the details about the car.
CARA: Do you think this was accidental?
ELLE: The car was coming straight for me.
Cara wants Elle to see this as a sign she has to stop writing and being slightly more professional, Andrew promises to get to the bottom of what happened.
Harold's café (rear)
Gretchen isn't meeting up with Wendy but Holly and is subtly chatting to her about life in Sandy Point. However, she doesn't look too impressed when Wendy spots them and comes over to chat, with Holly quickly coming up with an excuse over how they've met up (a last minute 'if you happen to be passing' coffee date). Wendy is surprised that the pair are keeping in touch and readily accepts Gretchen's invitation for her to join them. Holly announces she needs to make a quick phone call and can't leave the table quickly enough as Wendy/Gretchen begin to chat.
Number 32 (garden)
"What have I missed?" Colton asks when he comes out into the garden and sees that the house as been turned into a day spa! On behalf of the trio, Sadie explains how they've refined their facemasks and product testing with the talking gang from Eirini - Monty, Vera, Gino and Moira!
Number 22
Gathered around the sofa's at #22 are Cara, Greg, Andrew, Elle, Terese and Paul. Paul is very thankful for Greg's actions in saving his daughter (which has also brought up memories over how Cameron died) although he is trying to play down his 'hero' role. Andrew confirms that enquires are ongoing but Cara rejects Paul's insistence that there should be a 24/7 police presence in the street as to her, its all self- inflicted thanks to Elle's articles. Paul isn't amused but Andrew calms him down and this helped when Cara hears that they've got a lead on the car.
Harold's café (rear)
Gretchen updates the pair on how great Steven is doing and suggests [to Wendy] that they visit - this is right up Wendy's street as it's something she's mentioned to Andrew. Getting the feeling that something is up, Gretchen asks to talk to Wendy alone, so Holly heads inside the café to get pastries.
Wendy reassures Gretchen that she isn't making her feel uncomfortable - the suggested visit was genuine but Andrew didn't want to come while Steven was having his treatment. What did surprise Wendy was her meeting with Holly, and that's what has caught her off guard. Gretchen confirms that Steven's treatment is exhausting, but they still have to live, so will let her know if a visit isn't really the right time.
Having got the awkwardness out of the way, the pair really start to chat properly and so don't see in the background that Holly has exited the café and is making a call to Andrew [but gets his voicemail] to confirm she was the one who invited Gretchen and a suggestion that he should call by to see his sister.
Number 32 (garden)
Colton is panicking at the impromptu visit by the quartet to #32 and makes it abundantly clear that should something happen, they aren't covered by their insurance! The quartet really don't care that he's fretting, they are enjoying being pampered.
Harolds café
Wendy spots Terese as she enters the café and they start chatting about what happened to Elle. Terese is pleased that Andrew is the investigating officer due to being "calm and reassuring."
WENDY: Not to me.
On hearing that, Terese invites Wendy to sit and she unloads how Andrew thinks she was the one to invite Gretchen to town and consequently bit her head off. Like Wendy earlier, Terese seems confused to hear that it was Holly who invited Gretchen. Wendy goes on to admit, given how Andrew went off at her, she hadn't realised Steven/Gretchen "were still a sore point between us."
Somewhere
Cara and Andrew arrive to where the car that went for Elle has been reported. Initially they think its been abandoned but someone is lurking in the boot and on noticing the police, he runs off. Andrew quickly follows in quick succession but the guy succeeds in getting away. While Andrew was chasing the guy, Cara was searching the car and discovers a hard drive.
Number 22
Greg turns down an invitation to stay for dinner and heads home instead as he wants a nap.
Terese does her best to reassure Paul that everything will be okay especially since Elle has given up writing about it. However once Terese heads upstairs to have a shower, we hear Elle firmly tell her dad she isn't "letting the story go" because she doesn't want to "let the Linwell brothers win." Paul reminds her that she could have been killed today and so she needs to "lay low for a bit." When Paul asks her to promise him that, his request is met with silence!
Lassiters Complex
Wendy is just apologising to Gretchen that Andrew is so busy when the trio (Holly is there too) run into Andrew (and Cara briefly too before she heads off to the station). The siblings greet each other warmly and Gretchen explains that Holly invited her and adds in that "Wendy was a lovely consolation prize." Wendy likes the praise and thanks Holly for organising it… but says it looking straight at Andrew with daggered looks in her eyes!
Gretchen wants a proper catch up with her brother and asks that he texts when free and Wendy walks with Gretchen to her car. Holly might wish she'd gone too, as Andrew isn't amused at her contacting his sister. She justifies the call to get info on their move to the coast and adds about not knowing Wendy would be around.
HOLLY: There was no harm done.
ANDREW: You need to stop coming up with these wild ideas.
HOLLY: I'm thinking about us. I'm helping.
ANDREW: (shaking his head) You're making it harder.
Police station
When Andrew asks, Cara reports that the hard drive is encrypted but IT are onto it.
The pair then get a visitor - a bored Greg who has dropped by for an update, so Andrew tells him about finding the car but didn't get the driver. Cara is curious to know why Greg was with Elle when the accident happened and he nonchalantly replies to simply bumping into her and on seeing the car coming for Elle, "just did what anyone would do." Cara warns her dad to stay away from Elle, citing that she isn't safe, but Greg thinks otherwise despite Elle's questionable methods. This time Cara asks her dad to promise to keep away from Elle, but this request isn't acknowledged by her dad.
Number 26 (garden)
Terese seems happy to see Wendy smiling when she pops around to check up on her, but the smile doesn't last too long when Terese asks if she's cleared things up with Andrew. That would be a 'no' but Wendy feels that whatever is going on, "its way bigger than Gretchen." When Terese asks for clarification, Wendy feels that it could be some of their past woes (like accusing Andrew of having an affair when he wasn't, clashing over Murrayville and Wendy tracking down his family) bubbling back to the surface again especially since Andrew is now spending more and more time at work. She also reveals they've stopped being intimate too before realising she's maybe shared a bit too much info!
TERESE: Are you sure you're not going down some sort of rabbit hole?
WENDY: No, I just do think that we're okay and maybe we've just been papering over the cracks this whole time.
Number 32 (garden)
The Eirini quartet have a new addition beside them - Colton, who has now joined them in chillaxing with a facemask on his face, having totally changed his tune from earlier!
The session is interrupted by a visitor - Holly who hands over a payment to Max for the earrings. While he took the envelope from her, Max doesn't talk to her at all and Holly gets the message that she isn't welcome.
Number 28 (garden)
Sadie has followed Holly back to #28, to ask why she is acting as she is. We hear that Haz and Mackenzie have been trying to call her but Holly has been ignoring them too.
SADIE: Why are you cutting us all off?
HOLLY: It's just better this way. It's… it's better for Max. It's better for you.
Sadie isn't buying that and tells Holly to "don't be ridiculous!" Although what is ridiculous is the pair chasing each other around the table before they again stand at opposite ends of it as Holly eventually explains to Sadie that its hard being around them. Sadie gets she doesn't want to be friends with Max after splitting up with him but can't see why Holly is giving her the cold shoulder too.
SADIE: Just tell me the truth. What's going on?!
Holly is struggling to respond to that and eventually comes up with "it's just how I feel" before turning and leaving an upset Sadie standing there while she heads into the house.
The Waterhole
Having struggled to get to sleep due to the adrenaline, Greg has settled for a beer in the pub instead. Paul sincerely thanks him for what he did although Greg wishes he'd stop! Greg semi- defends his protective daughter, which Paul does get, and Greg tells an appreciative Paul that he will keep an eye on the street.
Hideout
Jax, the driver from earlier is hold up in an abandoned building with Mrs Linwell and Ricky. The pair reassure Jax that everything is fine, despite his face being seen, because everything is going to plan! We hear that "they played right into our hands" and will be too busy "going through that hard drive heading off on a wild goose chase" to track him down. Additionally, "Eric and Dale will reward you for your loyalty" once they are out of jail.
The trio then hear footsteps and we hear "the big man" has shown up and they are keen for him to "tell us everything you found out." The camera angle changes and we then wee who this 'big man' is and its none other than Greg Murphy!
