Lassiters car park
When he pulls back, Andrew looks utterly aghast at what he's done and tells Holly that it "shouldn't have happened" and it "can never happen again" either. Holly claims that she cares for him, but he thinks her behaviour is down to being spooked regarding Bowman. Andrew does his best [in his panic mode] to reassure her that she will be fine and she thinks that is because he is looking after her! Realising that he needs to step back, Andrew goes blunt, by informing Holly that he will get another colleague to take over looking out for her.
Andrew's parting words are that he is sorry, and Holly looks utterly crestfallen. However, unknown to the pair while this was all playing out they have been observed - by Rhett in his car! He looks shellshocked too at what he's seen!
Harolds café
Nicolette can spot that something is up with Cara and hears what it is - that Remi has changed her surname. "That's rough," Nicolette remarks and hears Cara admit that she didn't take the news too well either, which unfortunately her work colleagues overheard. Nicolette is full of sympathy for why Cara reacted as such, but she is more concerned about the boys as they are hurt by Remi's action.
Number 28 (garden)
Susan and Remi are about to sit down for a cuppa and a chat when Holly arrives home. Holly was heading inside, but Remi pulls her back wanting to know how the Gen Z's are and initially it looks like she is going to just carry on inside, but then changes her mind.
Holly unloads her love life woes to Remi under the disguise of 'a girlfriend from the UK' who confided in Holly! 'The mate' describes the guy, aka Andrew, as "nobody that she's ever been with" before and they've "been circling each other for like weeks" but due to complications, the friend aka her, can't be with the guy even though the friend "really wants to be" as the guy has "got a lot of stuff going on."
When Remi asks if the guy has genuine feelings for the friend, Holly doesn't know which also explains why said friend is "so upset." Remi's take is the guy shouldn't have kissed the friend if they don't have the same feelings. Holly is quick to reply that the guy did want to kiss but the friend is unsure if there is "anything more to it" which "she doesn't know." The advice Remi has for 'the friend' is she has to have patience.
REMI: If it's meant to be, they'll synch up. Everything in life is about timing.
Number 26
On his arrival home, Andrew surprises Wendy with a bunch of flowers and she thinks it is due to him being the muse for her jewellery inspiration. He doesn't dismiss her thinking, but adds that the flowers aren't for that, rather that it is because he's a "lucky guy" who wanted his wife to know that.
Wendy is feeling lucky too - she feels that they're in the beginning of their relationship again, they've "come back to each other." The pair then kiss before declaring their 'love you's' to each other.
Hospital
Taye and Susan accompany Remi to her appointment with Beverly where she hopes to be cleared to resume working. As the trio wait, they start chatting about Remi changing her surname and Taye admits it sounds weird without the hyphen and Susan is sure the boys will be okay with the change in time.
Remi is so confident that today is just a mere formality in the process of getting back to work, she plans to celebrate later. Susan thinks she might be a tad over- confident but as far as Remi is concerned she is fit to resume work, "the only thing I can't remember is Cara." Taye questions if she is going back to work is happening too soon, but Remi wants to get back to "some sort of normality."
Harolds café
Cara has enjoyed Nicolette spending her lunchbreak with her (even if the pair have struggled doing the crossword) and is hopefully her afternoon will now be less awful!
NICOLETTE: Wow, what a compliment!
Number 24
Aaron is in tea party planning mode and Rhett suggests that Bloody Mary's should be on the menu as he needs one after today! Rhett goes on to explain why he needs the alcohol - he is sure he witnessed Andrew and Holly kissing! Aaron immediately dismisses his thinking because "Andrew would never do that to Wendy" and likewise "Holly would never do that to Max" plus "Sadie's her bestie." While Rhett would rather not "be right about this" he is standing by what he saw, regardless of Aaron thinking it can't be correct.
Hospital
After looking at Remi's brain scan, Beverly declares that she is "recovering nicely" however this isn't enough for Remi to get the go ahead to return to work because she still has no memory of Cara. Due to this, Beverly is unsure if there is anything else Remi isn't remembering and "that's why the hospital won't take the risk." Remi is aghast at this news as she wants to resume working, so Beverly explains it another way - the stress of working could hamper Remi regaining her memory and if that were to happen during a shift, it could be "quite distressing" which in turn would mean she isn't on her game and potentially, her "patients will suffer."
BEVERLY: I know it seems unfair, but it's in your best interest that we don't move too quickly.
REMI: And how long will I have to wait?
BEVERLY: The brain is difficult to anticipate. I'm sorry Remi, but I don't know.
The Waterhole
Holly is taking her frustration out on cleaning a table when Cara arrives with an update on Bowman - Andrew has assigned her to be Holly's new contact regarding him. She reports that Cheltenham police have paid Bowman a visit and he swears to being home all day. Cara isn't exactly believing his story, but the Cheltenham police plan to do drive- bys to ensure he is there and not in Erinsborough.
After Cara heads off, Aaron comes over to ask Holly a random question - was she at Lassiters on Tap earlier? Rather than reply, she instead asks why he wants to know and so Aaron explains to her about Rhett's theory that she and Andrew were kissing. With a fake laugh, Holly decries that suggestion as "ridiculous" however she does admit to being there with Andrew - they were just talking about Bowman, and he hugged her because she freaked out.
While Aaron buys this, equally he doesn't feel that Rhett would lie, especially given he was pretty upset too. Holly comes up with an alternative theory to explain Rhett's behaviour - his claim is his revenge by getting back at Andrew over the ticket he got. Aaron does think Rhett does revenges and again, Holly reminds Aaron that they've been friends [with him] for ages and Rhett is the new guy and could "have a passive aggressive streak" for all he knows!
HOLLY: Look, I don't why he's doing this. He could be confused, but Andrew and I did not kiss.
Hospital
Offscreen, Remi has told Taye and Susan the news that she can't restart working yet. Susan is sorry to hear the news, and both promise to support Remi given she feels she has too much time on her hands. While grateful, hobbies aren't enough for Remi, so Susan suggests that she could do some shifts at The Tram, since Karl will be busy with his council work. Susan does acknowledge that it isn't the hospital, but feels it will fulfil the bigger distraction Remi is after. Taye supports his Sis that its only Cara who is absent from her memory, so she will be able to dig into remembering how to be a waitress from her previous stint at doing this role when she was a student.
Number 26
The text message Andrew gets from Cara (about Holly) is all forgotten when Wendy comes through from the bedroom all dolled up in a low cut dress complete with full make up! This is so she can model her jewellery for him and Andrew keen to see what she's made.
Wendy then gives him a jewellery fashion show and reveals which one she will enter in the competition (it is dedicated to him). Given he had to help Wendy with the clasp on the last necklace she tried on, she seductively suggests he could help take it off, but he has another suggestion - they have a date night and go out for dinner. Wendy looks exited at the prospect of going out with her husband whereas Andrew looks like he is doing this under obligation because he has 'guilty' tattooed on his forehead.
Police station
Cara is surprised to see Susan enter the station, but she is there for a social visit. They chat a bit about how Cara's first day back has gone before Cara asks why she really is visiting and so Susan explains to her about Remi not being allowed to return to work.
CARA: First I take her memory of me and then I take her profession.
After being asked, Susan admits that Remi isn't dealing well with the news. Cara is unsure whether to check in on Remi or not, especially after the debacle surrounding the name change. In the end, she decides that the boys will visit her once she updates them. Susan approves of this as she feels if Cara were to see Remi, it will cause more upset for the pair of them and with 'the brave face on' Cara promises to update the boys.
The Waterhole
Rhett arrives to see if Aaron wants company to walk home (yes) he also takes the opportunity to see if Aaron also spoke to Holly about the kiss. Aaron replies he has, and Holly is "adamant you're wrong" and adds in that she isn't offended! Brett seems curious to know what Holly's story is and Aaron retells that the pair of them were "having some serious conversation" before adding that "there was no kissing."
RHETT: Well I didn't imagine this!
Aaron puts it down to Rhett making a mistake over what he saw. Rhett though is adamant that isn't the case and thinks Aaron is believing Holly over him. The pair are at loggerheads over this issue and agree to talk about it later and before he goes, Rhett confirms he still plans to walk Aaron home.
Lassiters Park
Cara spots Remi sitting looking at the lake and debates whether to go over or not - eventually deciding not to.
Harolds café
Date night for the Rodwell's is Harolds and Wendy looks so overdressed in her posh togs! She loves though that they are on a date night and reminisce to ones they went on when they first started dating.
The pair spot Rhett entering and while they acknowledge each other by hand, Rhett gives the pair a wide berth. Andrew puts this down to him still being shirty over the fine and goes onto explain how that happened to Wendy.
Number 32
Taye and Remi are keeping each other company by playing poker. The pair talk about today's news and Remi is resigned that until she remembers Cara, she isn't going to get to work. He is sure Cara will come back to her which Remi is desperate to happen… for her "jobs sake and for the boys."
TAYE: What about for you?
When Remi doesn't reply, he then questions why she is still wearing her rings. From the puzzled look Remi shows, it something she's not thought of before and seems to mentally think about this now.
The Waterhole
As he finishes his closing up routines, Aaron is on the phone to Holly promising to not talk to Andrew over Rhett's kiss claim. Just as he hangs up, Rhett enters and tells Aaron about seeing Andrew/Wendy at Harolds and asks if he spoke to Andrew over what he witnessed? Aaron explains it was Holly he spoke to, and they agreed to not say anything more about it, so not to ruin what Andrew/Wendy have going on right now.
AARON: We're just going to let it lie.
Rhett is not amused and demands to know why Aaron is "flat- out ignoring" what he witnessed - that Andrew was kissing a woman that wasn't his wife!
RHETT: It happened!
Aaron wonders if this is payback to do with the ticket Andrew issued him with? This goes down like a lead balloon, with Rhett accusing Aaron of being "so good at jumping to conclusions!"
RHETT: First, you think I'm having a thing with Colton, and now you think I'm going out of the way to ruin your friends life?!
AARON: It's not something that I want to believe, but it just feels like there's more going on here.
RHETT: We're meant to be telling the girls about us tomorrow, but maybe we shouldn't!
