Number 24
Rhett drops round to explain to Aaron why he took off as he did - he admits that he likes Aaron too much and can't continue doing the "are we, aren't we" especially as he has a child to figure into things too.

RHETT: Either this is something real or it's nothing, but I need to know now, or I'm out.

Initially Aaron doesn't say anything back but it's just the brain getting into gear and after a long winded reply about how they are both dads, value family, have a connection as well as being in a similar age in life... or in other words it's a yes from Aaron! They seal the deal with a kiss and an invitation for Rhett to stay the night.

The Waterhole
Despite Susan thinking he might not to, Taye agrees to spread the word on Karl's behalf at work about the promo for the 82,000th customer at the tram. Karl is on a high that Taye will do that, along with contacting a customer who he knows is a journalist to see if they might do a feature on the upcoming milestone.

Harolds café
The VM's have had a perfect date night... well that is until Moira interrupts wanting medical treatment since she's heard that Remi will be replacing Karl at Eirini! Apparently, Karl has roped Moira in to help convince Remi to join them at Eirini. Thankfully Moira disappears as quickly as she arrived, leaving Remi to confirm that she isn't leaving the hospital and is now trying to come up with a [counter] plan to stop Karl thinking she will be replacing him.

Number 28
Remi goes straight for the jugular by arriving at #28 and confronting Karl over what Moira said to her. He cites just being presumptuous and helping Remi get to know the Eirini residents. She's now forced to go blunt by telling Karl she won't be applying... although after seeing Susan plead behind Karl's back, Remi finishes her sentence by adding she won't be applying until Karl has given her a thorough tour!

After Karl goes to take a call from the journalist over The 82, Susan can't thank Remi enough. "This is getting out of hand," Remi warns, which Susan does get, and pleads for Remi to feign interest just a bit more longer.

Number 24 (next day)
Aaron and Rhett make their way to the kitchen to get some breakfast and thanks to Nicolette, the pair have a five- star hotel feast to choose from!

Number 30
The VM's are discussing Susan's plan to help Karl change his mind (Remi agrees with Susan) when Aaron drops by to deliver some of the breakfast feast Nicolette prepared. He also announces to hooking up with Rhett last night after facing his fears "and listened to my heart." Despite wanting Aaron to be with Colton, Remi is happy at the news and the pair feel for Aaron who now has to go break Colton's heart!

Harolds café
Taye catches Sadie while she is in getting a spit free coffee to explain his plan over how he's determined to be the 82,000th customer at the tram as he thinks the prize is worth going for. He needs a co- conspirator though and eventually wears Sadie down until she agrees to help.

Number 30
Before heading to the tram, Karl drops by to apologise to Remi for jumping the gun with his loose lips and to inform her that he's arranged the tour of Eirini... led by Moira!

The 82
There is quite a buzz from the customers at the tram waiting for Karl to open up so they can win not a free pie but a half price pie for 82 weeks! The penny drops with the gathered that the promo has suddenly changed and he gets called a "tightarse" by the gathered, led by Taye and Sadie. Susan is forced to step in and overrule Karl and reaffirm that it is still going to be a free pie as promised... and agrees with the crowd that yes, he is a tightarse!

The Waterhole
Carlton arrives in a happy mood after getting the message from Aaron wanting to meet... and then listens as Aaron explains the purpose of the meeting, to let him personally know that he's decided to be in a relationship with Rhett.

The 82
On catching Taye and Sadie use a clicker to try and predict when the 82,000th customer will be, Karl declares the pair are disqualified! When they protest, he grabs the clicker and begins clicking it, to effectively nullify it before then sending the pair packing!

Harolds café
As a 'consolation prize' the pair have relocated to Harolds for a "spit free coffee" since Nicolette isn't in the premises. Taye is miffed to be excluded from winning as he was using their gameplan to help cheer himself up, however his plan helped Sadie cheer up so she promises to repay the favour whenever he needs cheering up. It turns out she already put the wheels in motion by shouting him a pie so he cheekily asks if she will buy him a pie for the next 82 weeks!

SADIE: Absolutely not!

However, for today only, she promises to give him "some light entertainment" which turns out to be her interpretation of the victory dance he hoped to perform on being the 82,000th tram customer.

The 82
As the 82,000th customer is being closer to being discovered, Karl is fretting that the journalist hasn't arrived yet and hopes that as a counter revenge for being disqualified, Taye didn't call to cancel the journalist!

When Karl heads back inside to deal with the customers, Remi almost creeps up on Susan wanting to talk! Remi isn't amused at having to suffer Moira's tour of Eirini especially since, thanks to the gossip, the Eirini residents seemed to be have taken it as read she is joining the Eirini workforce and Remi is concerned that this news will get back to her bosses at the hospital. Susan is quick to reply that it won't but while Remi cares about Karl, and has loads still to offer as a doctor, she can't keep up this pretence that she is interested in the Eirini position.

REMI: My role in this charade it is done!

The Waterhole
With the news now delivered, Aaron explains to Colton that he no longer could string them both along and so finally made a decision. Although it looks like Colton could burst into tears at any minute, he concedes to losing him to "a really great guy" thanks to the pact he make with Rhett. I'm really gonna miss you," Colton says and goes for a farewell kiss... which is witnessed by the newly arrived Rhett! Cue angry face from Rhett and an embarrassed/remorseful one from Aaron.

The 82
Susan is begging Remi to at least keep up the pretence until a winner is found in the promotion but she doesn't want to keep lying. The pair are so engrossed in conversing about it that they don't see Karl sneak up and discover what they are up to. He is not amused and wants an explanation, however the ladies get a momentary reprieve when they spot the journalist/photographer and Karl's attention moves to that instead.
