Eirini Rising (office)
When Darcy drops by to update Terese on one of the residents, he mentions to her that the lease on #22 is almost up. He is happy to commit to being her tenant for the next year but she wants time to think about it because she hasn't decided on what to do about the house.
Nell is sitting with Terese in the office and offers her tuppenceworth - although hesitant at first about moving into the Penthouse, she is happy with how things are going there and is also reluctant to give up the 24- hour room service!
Number 24
As Aaron sorts his clothes for his forthcoming holiday, he discusses with Jane whether Amanda will agree to the cognitive tests or not... she hopes so and is hoping that the text she just receives from Amanda (saying yes to coming for a cuppa) is signs of an olive branch between them. Byron though doesn't plan on being there, after what happened at her place, he wants to give his Nanna a wide berth, something Jane can understand.
Harolds café
Nicolette excitedly tells Wendy that HotRod69 has responded to her chat in the app but Wendy doesn't care because of what she saw.
Penthouse suite
When Terese/Nell arrive home, Paul suggests that the trio play a game of monopoly but Nell says no to being up against two ruthless opponents! However the happy atmosphere in the house is gone when the lift pings to signal Chelsea's arrival - she wants to change Thomas' birth certificate to reflect Paul being the father and to add his surname too, the wee toot will become a Murphy- Robinson. Paul is very much up for this change and even Terese seems happy too.
Ramsay Street
Karl isn't exactly looking well when he parks up his car at the house. He was about to cross the road to talk to Darcy (he's chatting with Jane about Amanda) but stays put when he spots Amanda's arrival.
Amanda is thrilled with the "welcome committee" that greets her although she is surprised Byron isn't there and seems to downplay the "strong words" they had when they last were in each other's company and thought it was now "water under the bridge." Jane also brings up that he is still upset about the mug being smashed, something Amanda vehemently denies doing and given he still has all the parts, Darcy offers to glue the pieces together, which is received very well by Amanda.
Back with Karl and he still isn't looking well, so goes into his pocket and dry- swallows a couple of pills.
Harolds café
"I never thought he would cheat on me," a tearful Wendy says to Nicolette after catching Andrew/Sandra hugging. Nicolette is trying to think of a reason for the hug but can't think of one as Wendy now wonders what to do, especially since she's spent her whole adult life with him. "I think you need to make a plan," is Nicolette's suggestion and volunteers to help her with that but more importantly, she needs answers from Andrew and barely seconds later the man in question arrives looking for his wife!
After explaining why he isn't at work (knocked off early for a jog) he can see something is up with Wendy but she puts on the "I'm fine" face even when he can clearly see she isn't! Andrew leaves her to it, but plans to hang around so she can come see him when she is ready to.
Number 28
Over a cuppa, Susan and Terese catch up with how things are going living in the penthouse suite. Terese tells her about Chelsea's plan, which Susan seems shocked about and the news has Terese questioning how happy life is in the penthouse suite and whether she wants to extend Darcy's lease or not. "There's nothing wrong with wanting to protect yourself and Nell," Susan points out by keeping #22 as her "insurance policy" in case things don't work out.
Ramsay Street
Terese makes her way over the street to stand outside her old house.
Eirini Rising (Amanda's apartment)
Karl pays Amanda a visit to subtly remind her he is the senior doctor and she should come to him, rather than Darcy, if there are any issues. Amanda isn't too sure why he is visiting, so he asks if Darcy has asked her for money? Immediately the reply is "no, never" and likewise Darcy has never overstepped nor made her feel uncomfortable. Indeed, she tells Karl that she trusts Darcy and has "been nothing but good to me," and informs him that it is this conversation which is making her feel uncomfortable! Karl quickly apologises, he was just wanting to ensure she was "being well taken care of."
KARL: Do you think we could keep this chat between ourselves?
AMANDA: I think if Darcy knew you were casting aspirations on his character, he'd be really upset. And for that reason, that reason alone, I will keep this to myself.
And as Karl opens the door, who is standing on the other side - Darcy!
Lassiters Complex
Happy to borrow a spare pair of goggles (from Abby via Paul) Aaron and Paul chat about their forthcoming trip to Queensland.
Meanwhile, Andrew waits patiently for Wendy to exit the café and when she does, asks if she wants to talk about the atmosphere when he was in Harolds earlier. With her brave face on, Wendy replies she is all good and is looking forward to the dinner Andrew is going to cook for them.
Eirini Rising (Amanda's apartment)
As Darcy slowly glues the bits together from the broken mug, Amanda is still insistent that she didn't break it. Given he spotted Karl exiting her house, Darcy is eager to know what he wanted and initially it looks like she is keeping her promise to Karl by using diversion tactics (the mug) but after Darcy asks again, but in a different way, she ends up revealing all.
Lassiters Complex
Paul calls Terese over to be the one to witness the paperwork to signify the changes to Thomas' birth certificate. With the paperwork signed, Chelsea suggests they should try having Thomas for a sleepover and Paul replies "yes" on their behalf.
Terese makes her apologies to go and talk to Darcy after spotting him in the complex. While happy to extend the lease, she only wants it for 3 months because she is indecisive about what to do with the house long term, and no, it isn't related to Chelsea like Darcy seemed to be suggesting.
Lassiters Lake
Wendy is sitting on a bench alone when suddenly she spots Sandra, who immediately takes off! "Hey homewrecker," Wendy yells out whilst going to chase after Sandra. When she stops, Wendy wants to know how Sandra can "do this to another woman" but is told to go speak to Andrew, but Wendy isn't budging until she gets answers! Eventually, Sandra says it was Andrew who contacted her first because his marriage "was basically over" and wanted to keep things secret until he could put plans in place for their future. Wendy is utterly confused over what Sandra is going on about and is told again to speak to Andrew.
SANDRA: You should hear it from him.
Harolds café
Aaron tells Nicolette about having to take Isla to the doctors - the wee toot has an ear infection and now they can't go on holiday. However, whilst Isla isn't fit to go on holiday, Nicolette sees no reason why Aaron still can't go alone himself.
Meanwhile, Darcy spots Chelsea entering and suggests they grab a coffee but purely as friends. Chelsea doesn't want anything to do with him, however is tempted to after Darcy has something for her - information about Terese.
Penthouse suite
As the trio are about to head out, they are surprised when Chelsea drops by - she's got something that needs clarified about the paperwork for Thomas. When Nell and Terese head downstairs to wait for Paul there, Chelsea comes clean - she wanted to speak to Paul alone. Paul isn't amused and makes it clear, that while he is happy for Thomas to have his surname, "there is nothing going on between us" because he loves Terese. Chelsea clarifies that she gets the message, then in turn asks if he is okay that Terese is only letting #22 out for a short term let to Darcy?
The Waterhole
While they wait for their take away order, Aaron and Jane are pleased that Nicolette persuaded Aaron to go on holiday alone. It's not long before talk gets round to Amanda, Jane will get onto the contacts Terese is going to pass onto her and that they need to prepare themselves "if she's unwell".
Meanwhile, Karl puts the fact he isn't hungry over why he's not eaten his dinner but given how he is looking, Susan asks if he is okay? As Karl goes to stand, he is very unsteady on his feet and its thanks to grabbing the chair which prevents him from falling to the ground. The newly arrived Darcy rushes over to check on his uncle, asking if he is dizzy and while Karl replies no, the special effects tells the audience he is! Karl gets to the bar [to get a box for his uneaten meal] and we can see he is sweating profusely and shakily he tries to open his pill bottle but before he gets one out, the screen goes black and then we hear a heavy thud as Karl collapses to the ground.
Susan and Darcy rush to Karl's aid and while Susan does her best to calm and reassure Karl, Darcy quickly and quietly puts the pill bottle into his jacket pocket.
Number 26
Andrew is back with the food for dinner and when he gets to the kitchen, notices Wendy sitting at the table crying. "What's wrong?" he asks and when Wendy doesn't say anything, he goes over to her but as soon as he touches her, she swats his hand away and tells him "don't you dare!" before angrily calling him "a liar!"
ANDREW: What are you talking about?
WENDY: I know you're having an affair.
ANDREW: ...
Number 28
Susan and Darcy manage to get Karl home although he's protesting at Darcy helping him, determined that he will be fine after a good night's sleep and heads immediately to the bedroom.
Darcy agrees that Karl should be okay after a rest. While certain he didn't consume enough alcohol to be like he was, Susan now worries that they should have taken Karl to the hospital instead of taking him home. Darcy thinks that was a good move and drops hints to Susan about Karl being on medication, which she is confused about as he isn't on any. While subtly removing the bottle of pills from his pocket, Darcy asks to check Karl's work bag and because Susan isn't fully paying attention, manages to slip the bottle in so that it looks like it was there all the time!
DARCY: Oh Karl! These are opioids.
Susan is confused over what is going on especially as Karl hasn't said anything to her about being on medication.
DARCY: I'm sorry Susan, Karl's been keeping a big secret from you.
