Wendy is looking pensive following her phone call about the Murrayville police job. Andrew comes in, and starts telling her about how Aaron is being OTT as regards Cara's training in preparation for the police academy. She looks like she's about to raise the topic of the police job, but Andrew cuts in, saying he'll start up the barbecue for dinner, but is concerned when Wendy doesn't respond.
ANDREW: I want you to know that I am *really* proud of you for finding a new career. And I think it's just as important as mine, and I care about it just as much.
WENDY: ... I'm glad to hear that.
ANDREW: And from now on, I will try and hear you better. Especially when it comes to whatever comes next. The last thing that I want is for you to feel ignored. Okay?
WENDY: ... Okay. Thank you.
ANDREW: If there's anything else you want to talk about, I'm listening.
WENDY: ... I'm good for now.
He goes to dig out some snags for dinner.
The Waterhole
Toadie and Terese are having a drink. Terese admits she's wondering if she should go back to the hospital, but they agree that with only Paul and Chelsea allowed in to see Thomas, there's not a lot she can do there.
TOADIE: This Chelsea situation...
TERESE: Yeah. Look, I just want to be there for Paul. If something were to happen to Thomas, it would break him.
TOADIE: But having her in the picture - that's got to be challenging, right?
TERESE: Yeah, well. I just don't want to be the jealous girlfriend...
TOADIE: But...
TERESE: But when they went into the room before... Look, I know that Thomas is the priority, but I just... I just felt invisible.
TOADIE: I'm sure Paul didn't mean it like that.
TERESE: Yeah, I know. It just didn't feel good. You know, I want to be there in this with him. I want to be there *for* him.
TOADIE: You are. He knows that.
TERESE: Yeah, well. I hope so.

Aaron, Leo and Krista are having a drink together. Aaron raises a toast to Leo and Krista having moved in together, and congratulates them.
LEO: Well, it's just where I want to be.
KRISTA: Mm. It feels right.
AARON: I remember when David and I first moved in together. It was, uh... it was a special time.
LEO: What, his domestic tyranny didn't make you want to run for the hills? Remember the bathroom rules? And those laundry rules he had?
AARON: Yeah. That was fine, because he was easy compared to Mark.
Leo gets a text from the resort in Queensland where he and Krista went on their honeymoon. They're offering them a credit to return because they left earlier than planned. But Krista and Leo understandably don't seem keen on revisiting that time in their lives, and discuss the possibility of gifting the holiday to someone else so it doesn't go to waste.
LEO: There's no place I'd rather be than home right now.
KRISTA: Yeah, we're too busy building our future to look to the past.
Erinsborough Hospital
Chelsea and Paul are in the waiting area at the children's ward. In a room nearby, Thomas is crying as staff tend to him. Paul and Chelsea look deeply worried. We then see them in the room looking over Thomas, bonding over their shared worry for him.
The Waterhole
The next day, Wendy comes in to chat to Aaron. She explains about her teaching job offer in Murrayville, and the nearby police job she found that would be ideal for Andrew. She thinks it might help convince Andrew to move if she can sell the idea to him. Aaron asks how Wendy found the job, but she's cagey, simply saying that she saw it online. Aaron queries whether Andrew will be convinced, but Wendy is determined to make it happen.
Erinsborough Hospital
In the waiting area, Paul offers Chelsea the opportunity to go home for a while if she wants to freshen up and get something to eat - but she insists she's fine to stay. He offers to call Cara as he's sure she will want to see Thomas, but Chelsea has asked Cara to give them space and says she'll call her if there's any news.
CHELSEA (tearful): I just want to focus on my little boy. I'm not leaving him for anything. Thomas is my second chance, you know? ... I made so many mistakes with my other kids. I was... so immature. So young. But I want to get it right this time... This is karma, isn't it? What I did to Krista - her baby. Thomas is suffering because of me.
PAUL: Hey, hey - don't think like that.
CHELSEA: That's all I can think about. Even before Thomas got sick. I hate myself. I would do anything to go back in time.
Paul takes her hand as she breaks into sobs.
CHELSEA: No, Paul. What I did was unforgivable. I deserve to be punished, but Thomas... he's just a baby. He doesn't deserve this, Paul!
Paul hugs Chelsea as she cries.
Harold's Café
Krista and Leo come in, all loved up. Holly, Max and Taye are at a table, and Holly tells Krista and Leo that they are a 'walking ad for cohabitation'.
LEO: It is nice to remember what calm actually feels like.
Krista tells everyone about the holiday resort having given them a gift voucher due to their cutting the honeymoon short, but that they aren't going to use it - and then asks if they can join them for a coffee. While Krista and Leo are at the counter ordering...
HOLLY: I think someone needs to use that voucher, and that someone should be us.
MAX: DO you think they'd give it away?
HOLLY: Why not? We can save it from going to waste. Plus, we deserve a break after the hell we've been through recently.
Max says it would be good timing as the garage isn't reopening for another two weeks, so he suggests they ask for the voucher. But Holly says they shouldn't put Leo and Krista on the spot, and should instead let them 'come to us'.
HOLLY: We just need to show them what good, gift- worthy friends we are.
But as Holly waves enthusiastically over at Krista, Taye looks like he has other ideas...
Lassiter's Complex
Andrew and his colleague, Constable Jamie Neyland, are strolling through the car park with coffees. But she seems to be purposely avoiding the small- talk he's trying to make with her - and he admits he's had a weird vibe this morning from the others at the station too. Guessing that something's going on, Andrew asks Jamie outright what it is.
NEYLAND: Maybe it's got something to do with the job hunt.
ANDREW: Excuse me?
NEYLAND: I thought you were with us for the long haul (...) Higgsy heard from a friend that the Erinsborough sarge has been looking elsewhere.
ANDREW: Are you serious? I love this place. I love my team. I've practically become a mentor for a mate that just got into the academy. Why would I want to be anywhere else?
NEYLAND: ... Guess the grapevine got it wrong.
ANDREW: Yeah, it did... Hey, out of interest, what, umm... what station was I meant to be applying for?
NEYLAND: Murrayville.
Andrew puts two and two together...
Erinsborough Hospital
Terese turns up and asks Paul how Thomas is doing; Paul replies that he's still being monitored. Terese is concerned that Paul hasn't been replying to her messages, but he says all he can think about is Thomas. Chelsea is in the room with Thomas, but at this point Dr Stevie Hart shows up, and beckons Chelsea to come outside. She has some good news for them all - the antibiotics are working, and Thomas has stabilised faster than expected.
CHELSEA: And what about the long- term effects?
STEVIE: His results suggest it's unlikely there'll be any.
CHELSEA: Oh my god. Thank you so much!
Dr Stevie says they will keep Thomas in a little longer, but that he's out of the woods. Paul thanks her too, and everyone looks relieved. Paul and Chelsea hug, and Terese looks peeved!

Holly and Max have invited Krista and Leo back to their place to hang out, in the hope of being so hospitable that they will offer them their holiday gift vouchers. They talk privately in the kitchen; Max isn't convinced that Holly's plate of chopped fruit will do the job (!) so Holly suggests he gets some chips and dips out too. But for some reason Max thinks this is overkill and suggests they 'dazzle them with our personalities' instead!
But when Max and Holly approach the patio, they find Taye already pulling out all the stops to impress Krista and Leo by making them cocktails and feeding them pastries, seemingly in the hope of snagging the voucher for himself!
TAYE: Nothing but the best for my mates.
KRISTA: Okay! Well, if you were living here when I was living here, then I probably would've never left!
TAYE: I wish you hadn't. You would've made the best housemate. Especially compared to the slobs I have to put up with.
Holly and Max are watching all this in disgust.
HOLLY (gasps): That little...!
MAX: Yeah. This means war.
Putting the lacklustre plate of fruit aside, Holly and Max set about finding other ways to impress Leo and Krista. Max offers Leo a game of foosball, while Holly sits down by Krista and orders Taye inside to get a bowl of chips while 'us girls catch up'! As Taye walks inside, Max calls him a 'traitor' in hushed tones. Taye scoffs and smiles to himself, while Holly starts complimenting Krista on how 'amazing' she looks...

Andrew comes in to find Toadie waiting for him with Wendy, and Andrew and Toadie share a hug.
ANDREW: I was wondering when I was gonna see your ugly mug!
TOADIE: Ah, would've been sooner, except with everything going on.
Wendy goes to make some tea, so Toadie can fill them in on everything that's happened with Nell's manslaughter case.
Erinsborough Hospital
Chelsea, Paul and Terese are looking through the window at a happier- looking Thomas. Chelsea goes to ask Dr Hart some questions, and Paul is about to go and join her - but Terese stops him, suggesting he come home with her for a few hours now that Thomas is in the clear, so he can have a shower and a rest. But Paul impatiently insists he's okay to stay.
TERESE: Chelsea's got a handle on things here.
PAUL (annoyed): I'm Thomas's parent too, right? And we don't have any idea when he's gonna be discharged.
TERESE: But it won't be for a while. Come on, it's just a couple of hours. She can call you if she needs to.
PAUL: Right now, I need to be here with him.
TERESE: But you also need to rest.
PAUL: That's enough, Terese! This is no time for your petty jealousy. Now, you're keeping me from my son.
Terese looks peeved as Paul walks off to join Chelsea.
Ramsay Street
Holly, Max and Taye are showing Leo and Krista out of No 32; Holly thanks them for coming round, and Leo thanks them for having them round.
LEO: You know I always love a good game of foose.
MAX: Yeah, I won't let you win next time.
LEO (confused): Were you going easy on me?
HOLLY: No, he's just really bad. I mean, he's really good, but you're really, *really* good. So come kick his butt anytime.
KRISTA: Anyway, thanks for being good hosts. I really don't know what we did to deserve it.
Leo gets a message from Paul saying that Thomas has been given the all- clear. At this point, Aaron jogs past, and Leo and Krista call him over.
AARON: What's up?
LEO: Hey, mate. Look, I don't know why we didn't think of this sooner, but we, uh...
KRISTA: We want you to go on our honeymoon!
To everyone else's visible horror, Leo explains that he and Krista want to give their resort voucher to Aaron, as he deserves a break.
AARON: Are you serious? I would love that! Thank you so much - you guys are legends! I'm gonna have to buy new swimmers now.
KRISTA: What? You have so many!
Holly, Taye and Max all look super- annoyed!
Penthouse
Paul comes home to find Terese working, and tells her Thomas is being discharged tomorrow. But Terese is not happy about what Paul said to her at the hospital.
TERESE: I was worried about you last night. That's why I sent you all those messages. You know, the ones that you ignored.
PAUL: Oh, not now, Terese.
TERESE: Yes, *now*, Paul. I have had enough of you accusing me of this perceived possessiveness!
PAUL: Yeah, well, what is it, then, hey?
TERESE: You're my partner! I'm concerned for you, and your son, but you keep shutting me out!
PAUL (laughs): Oh, so nothing to do with Chelsea, then?
TERESE: I can't believe this! I'm not the one who keeps bringing her up - I don't care about her! I care about you! I mean, look at you - you're a mess.
PAUL: Do you honestly think that I would have a romantic interest in Chelsea while my son is fighting for his life?
TERESE: Oh, for goodness' sake - stop putting words in my mouth! This isn't about Chelsea.
PAUL: I can't do this.
TERESE: No, clearly not. Go and get some rest. And some perspective while you're at it.
Terese marches out.

Toadie is still with Wendy and Andrew. He admits he isn't sure whether taking Angie on holiday so soon after Big Kev's funeral was the right thing to do, as she's still very up and down and might have enjoyed it more if they'd waited. But Toadie senses some tension on Andrew's part towards Wendy, and asks how things are with them. They both say things are fine, but Toadie says he feels like something is going on.
ANDREW: Yeah, no - you're right. Sorry that I'm being so awkward. There's something that Wendy and I need to talk about. It can wait, though.
But Toadie decides to head off and leave them to it, promising to catch up in the pub later.
WENDY (innocently): What's going on?
ANDREW: Uh, I think you know. Have you been applying for any jobs on my behalf lately?
WENDY: ... No, I can explain. You know, I was just thinking that if I could make Murrayville make sense for both of us...
ANDREW: Wendy, just stop. How could you do this to me?
Lassiter's Lake
Chelsea is by a bench, looking lost in thought. Leo and Krista are out on a walk, and see her from a distance. Acutely aware of Krista's feelings about Chelsea, Leo suggests that Krista hang back while he goes to check in on her. But Krista says it's okay, and they approach Chelsea together.
LEO: I heard the good news about Thomas. How are you holding up?
CHELSEA (emotional): I'm okay. Thank you for checking. Thomas is doing so much better now. But it was... ugh. A long and scary night. (To Krista) I realise that it wasn't even a fraction of what you went through.
KRISTA: It's unbearable to see any child in danger. I'm really sorry for what you and Thomas went through.
Chelsea begins to cry, and Krista approaches, putting a hand on her shoulder, before giving her a hug. Terese is watching from the back of Harold's Café, and looks surprised.

Wendy is trying to explain herself to Andrew; she only asked a few questions about the job, and just wanted to gather the facts so that they could have a proper conversation.
ANDREW: We've had a conversation. More than one, actually. So is a conversation what you're really after?
WENDY: A conversation is back and forth - not one person talking at the other.
ANDREW: Well, I asked you earlier if you wanted to talk about anything, but you kept it quiet. Why?
WENDY: Because I didn't have all the information. I needed to find out if this new job offered as much as what your job does now. You know, it might even be better.
ANDREW: Wend, do you know how hard I've worked to secure a promotion here?
WENDY: Yeah, I do!
ANDREW: Well, how am I supposed to do that now that my colleagues think I've got one foot out the door?
WENDY: I didn't realise word would make it back to the station.
ANDREW: No, you didn't. Because you were so focused on your career, and you didn't stop and think that you might mess up mine. It's either that, or you didn't care.
He walks off.
Erinsborough Hospital
Paul and Chelsea are with Thomas.
CHELSEA: What a little warrior we made.
PAUL: Yeah. He's gonna take on the world one day, aren't you, mate?
CHELSEA: I couldn't have got through last night without you. You were my rock.
PAUL: Must be a good actor, then, because I can tell you, I felt like a terrified mess.
CHELSEA: Thomas is lucky to have you. And so am I. I couldn't ask for a better co- parent.
PAUL: Oh, I'm just glad I can be here for both of you... Chelsea, listen - about what you said last night. You really have to try and find a way to forgive yourself. I mean, for your sake, as well as the sake of our son. You know, carrying around all this guilt and self- loathing - it's only gonna eat you up on the inside.
CHELSEA: But it's so hard.
PAUL: I know. But, you know, everyone makes mistakes. That doesn't mean we should be defined by them.
CHELSEA (tearful): First Krista, now you.
Seeing her tears, Paul wipes them away with his hand.
CHELSEA: I'm so grateful.
The underscore builds as Paul's hand remains on Chelsea's face a little too long, and they gaze at one another...
