Lassiter's Hotel
Fallon is in her room when Taye drops by with some doughnuts! Fallon soon becomes tearful - she admits that Sebastian's funeral is taking place today in Sydney. She felt she couldn't show up there as it would be weird; she's never met his family.

TAYE: It's probably best to not even think about him. Take care of yourself.
FALLON (crying): Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Why are you being so nice to me?
TAYE (smiling): I had nothing else to do.

He doles out the doughnuts. Fallon smiles too.

Harold's Café
Aaron is with Krista at a table. He asks if she's heard from Leo since he got bail, but she hasn't. As if by magic, Leo walks in, and Krista goes over to the counter to talk to him. He doesn't seem very keen on talking to her, and orders a coffee instead. He has trouble even looking at her throughout the conversation.

KRISTA: So how was the hearing?
LEO (irritated): As good as it could have been, I guess.
KRISTA: I bet Abi was over the moon. How is she?
LEO: Oh, she's pretty clingy, but... I am as well, so...
KRISTA: Well, do you have a minute to sit down? We'd love to hear about the case.
LEO (irritated): Well, nothing's changed. I'm still being charged for murder.
KRISTA: I still know that you're innocent. I'm still here, Leo. I love you. None of that has changed either.

Krista continues to try to persuade Leo to sit and join them. But eventually, he says he 'doesn't have the bandwidth' for her right now; he's ploughing all his energy into making sure Abigail still has a parent around. Leo walks out with his coffee and Krista looks upset.

Lassiter's Complex
Fallon and Taye are out and about. Fallon says she's realised she doesn't need to be in Sydney to remember Seb - she wants to hold a memorial for him here, now.

TAYE: Seb wasn't a good person! He made you miserable.
FALLON: He also made me happy. When he wanted to. I loved him.

Krista emerges from Harold's looking upset, so Fallon tells Taye she'll see him later and heads over to talk to Krista.

FALLON: Tough day?
KRISTA: Yep. They all are at the moment.
FALLON: Especially today, though.
KRISTA: What are you talking about?
FALLON: It's Seb's funeral.

Krista doesn't want to hear about it and begins walking away. Fallon follows.

FALLON: I'm gonna do something for him, here, to say goodbye. And you're welcome to join.
KRISTA: No. Look, supporting Leo is all that I care about right now.

Krista walks off leaving Fallon looking upset.

No 30
Remi takes a crying Thomas out of his crib to calm him down, while Dex and JJ watch. She is keen for the boys to get some practice in helping to look after Thomas, and tells JJ that he's going to learn how to change a nappy now! Dex starts gloating but Remi tells him he's in for the same lesson, just as soon as he's done his assignment. Dex looks less happy now!

JJ: Yeah, it's not like you to avoid doing homework.
DEX: Yeah, well for this assignment I have to watch hours of bird cam footage, looking for nesting activity. Boring as. I would much rather change a nappy. Want to swap?
JJ: No.

Eirini Rising
Susan and Terese are in the recreation room, discussing Vera's recovery following her appendicitis. Terese doesn't think Vera will obey the bed rest directive, but Susan is more confident with Darcy planning to check in on her. Terese agrees that they're lucky to have Darcy's help.

TERESE: Yet, although we're lucky that Darcy saved the day, it doesn't really paint Karl misdiagnosing Vera in a very good light.
SUSAN: I know - I know. I tried to talk to him about it. He was so defensive - he completely blew up at me (...) It was so unlike him. You know, he hasn't been himself since he got home.
TERESE: Maybe he's having trouble adjusting.
SUSAN: Maybe, but... you know Karl. He takes his duty of care very seriously. Normally he would tackle this head on (...) No, there's something off. Whatever it is, he's not telling me about it. I can't let him bottle it up, though; he's just gonna explode again.

Terese agrees that they need to get to the bottom of things, for the sake of both Karl and the residents.

No 22
Darcy opens the door to a very worked- up Karl. Karl says he can't bear lying to Susan about his painkiller dependency; he admits she knows something's wrong and that he lashed out at her for trying to help. And yet he feels he can't tell her the truth.

KARL: And she did so much for me. I mean, she dropped everything, travelled halfway around the world, to sit by my bedside for weeks.
DARCY: Mm. And you'd do the same for her.
KARL: No, no, no - you see, the thing is, I wouldn't have to! Because she would never put her safety at risk like me. Before I went away, she was scared the trip was too dangerous - but I didn't listen. And she's just started back at work; she's loving it, and I don't want to ruin it by dropping this problem in her lap.
DARCY: Well, if Susan can sense there's something wrong, isn't it better that she knows what it is?
KARL: No, no - not for her. Darcy, Susan is my boss; my work is my anchor. I can't lose it.
DARCY: Okay. What if we explained Vera's diagnosis to Susan and Terese, and make it clear it wasn't your mistake? You've got my support.

Karl smiles gratefully.

The Pavilion
Fallon has reconvened with Taye, who is much more keen on the memorial for Seb now he's discovered it involves day drinking! He fills up three shot glasses with ouzo and gives her one, the third being for Seb, then raises a toast to him. They knock them back. Fallon explains how she and Seb drank ouzo every day in Mykonos, and it reminds her of the restaurant they worked at.

FALLON: Every table was like a little party to him. It felt like I had the world. I had everything. Now it's like I have nothing.
TAYE: ... Hey. You have me.

He gives her another shot, and they knock those back, too - and then another. We go into slow motion as they dance on the grass.

Lassiter's Hotel
Fallon and Taye arrive back in her room, both rather merry! Fallon sits on the bed, while Taye gets her some water. As she drinks it, Fallon's smile fades and she looks more reflective.

FALLON: Why are you still with me here, anyway? I feel like I caused you so much trouble.
TAYE: I can't explain it. I guess I... like you.

They glance at each other.

TAYE: We both put each other in tough situations, but... I dunno. Feels right to be there for you.

Fallon stands up and gives Taye a hug. Then she kisses him on the lips.

FALLON: Is this okay?
TAYE: I was just about to ask you that. You've got a lot on your mind. We can leave this here.
FALLON (nodding): Or not.

She kisses him again.

TAYE: We've just left a memorial. You're vulnerable.
FALLON (flirtatious): Mm- hm...
TAYE: And we're both a little tipsy.
FALLON: Yeah... I know what I'm doing.

They fall onto the bed together...

The Waterhole
Krista is having a drink with Aaron at the bar. She admits she can't stop thinking about Seb's funeral after Fallon mentioned it. Aaron reminds her that she and Seb were best friends for a long time.

KRISTA: I'm not gonna be there to say a proper goodbye, so... can I even call myself his friend?
AARON: Krista, I am not gonna judge you for mourning him.

Krista is exhausted and on the verge of tears.

KRISTA: It's just, like... despite everything... I just can't get it in my head that he's gone. And who killed him? And maybe... maybe I'm meant to lose Leo too, one way or another.

Aaron gives her a hug as Krista sobs.

No 30
Dex is still doing his birdwatching assignment, but is dozing off at his laptop as he watches night footage from a school camera, which appears to be positioned in one of the trees near to the pavilion. JJ comes in, causing Dex to snap awake, and asks how the project is going. Dex tells him all he can see is a 'random girl wandering around', but we can see from the footage that it's Fallon.

JJ has been practising his nappy- changing skills on a teddy bear, and thinks he's a natural, having resorted to duct tape to keep the nappy in place! This makes Dex laugh.

At this point, we see that Seb has turned up in the video footage, and seems to be having an intense argument with Fallon. Remi comes in, and recognises them both immediately from the footage.

REMI: When's that from?
DEX: 20th March. Wait... isn't that the day Seb died?

No 22
Darcy has gathered Karl, Susan and Terese to talk about the incident with Vera's appendicitis. Darcy claims that the condition is 'notoriously difficult to diagnose' and says many doctors are caught out by it; the fact Darcy spotted some symptoms Karl missed was 'more a question of luck and timing', as the symptoms didn't present until after Karl examined her.

DARCY: Which means that Karl didn't do anything wrong.
TERESE: Well, that's good to hear.
SUSAN (to Karl): Why couldn't you just have explained that? All I wanted was to understand, and you just snapped at me...

Karl and Darcy exchange an awkward glance, and Susan asks if there's something else Karl isn't telling her. There's a long pause until...

DARCY: The truth is, Karl returned to work too soon. He's not back to his pre- trip form, physically or mentally, and, umm... well, he was afraid he would disappoint you.
SUSAN: Is that true?
KARL: It is, yeah. And I... I wanted to tell you. I was just worried about making things worse for you.
SUSAN (surprised): ... I'm sorry I missed it. And I'm so sorry if I rushed you.

Karl looks sheepish.

Lassiter's Hotel
Fallon and Taye are getting dressed after their impromptu roll in the hay. They both agree they had fun, but...

FALLON: Nothing more, right? Just... a one- time thing?
TAYE: Right. I mean, between this and the ouzo, it feels like the theme of the day is... taking the edge off.
FALLON: Totally.

She shoves Taye playfully, and they both laugh. There's a bang at the door; it's Andrew, in uniform.

ANDREW: Fallon, I need you to come down to the station. We've got further questions regarding your whereabouts the night Sebastian died.

Taye looks worried as Fallon processes this silently.

The Waterhole
Aaron and Krista are still at the bar when Leo comes in. He's on the phone to Georgia the lawyer, about when she expects to receive a brief on the police evidence against him. Leo finishes up the call, and Aaron tells Leo that he and Krista are worried about him.

KRISTA: We know you're upset, and that's totally fair (...) Nobody gets through their darkest time alone.
LEO: I'm fine.
AARON: Look, if you let all of this anger build up inside you, it's going to burn through you. You know this.
LEO (to Aaron): I'm not upset with you.
KRISTA: Okay, well, let us in.
LEO (to Krista): No, I wasn't talking to you. Your bad choices are the reason I'm here. Seb tried to come between us, and you wouldn't let him go. When I look at you, I think none of this would be happening to me if I wasn't with you. My mistake was you.

Krista looks devastated as Leo walks away, and starts crying again.

Erinsborough Police Station
Andrew and Detective Kay are showing Fallon the footage from the school bird cam, showing her at the Pavilion arguing with Seb at 10.35pm - just under half an hour before his death.

KAY: So you weren't watching a movie with Taye Obasi, as per your statement.
FALLON: I wasn't.
KAY: So Taye lied for you.

Fallon nods.

KAY: What are you and Sebastian arguing about here?
FALLON: I wanted him to leave Krista and Leo alone. He refused.
ANDREW: You seem pretty angry. Are you sure that's all it was about?
KAY: Nothing to do with Sebastian ending his relationship with you? Or him sleeping with your sister?

Detective Kay exchanges a glance with Andrew as Fallon declines to answer.

ANDREW: Fallon, did you follow Sebastian down to the lake?
FALLON: No!
ANDREW: Then why lie?

Fallon looks frustrated.

The Waterhole
Taye is sitting alone at a table when Remi turns up. She tells Taye about the bird cam footage, and he realises this must've been what prompted the police to want to reinterview her.

REMI: I know she's your friend, but this is pretty damning evidence.
TAYE: I could be in trouble, Rem. I gave Fallon a false alibi.

Remi is shocked. Taye is terrified and crying now, saying he can't go to jail for this...

No 22
Karl and Susan are having a reconciliation; she wishes he'd told her he needed more time before he returned to work.

KARL: After everything you've done, I didn't want to disappoint you.

Susan is feeling guilty for not seeing the signs. Meanwhile, Holly is helping Darcy cook dinner, and thanks him for helping Karl. Susan adds that she's grateful to Darcy for speaking up for Karl earlier. Darcy gushes about how much that means to him.

DARCY: You know why I keep inviting you guys over, right?
HOLLY: Because we're awesome?
DARCY: Yes - yes, yes. But also because I've come to realise, after everything I've done, that being with family means the world to me. And that helping people is a privilege. Here's to family.

They all toast this sentiment...

Lassiter's Complex
Remi and Taye are waiting outside the police station. Andrew shows Fallon out, and says it's Taye's turn for an interview, warning him that he could be facing a charge of perverting the course of justice. As Taye and Andrew go inside, Fallon is left with Remi.

FALLON: Please don't look at me like that. I feel bad enough as it is.
REMI: Good. So you should. You asked my brother to lie for you like it was nothing. He was your friend and you used him.
FALLON: I swear, I -
REMI: I actually don't care what you have to say.

Remi goes inside. Krista then approaches, and confronts Fallon about the footage of her arguing with Seb, which she's heard about.

KRISTA (upset): You did it, didn't you? You killed him. You found out about me and Seb, and you couldn't handle it. You had another one of those 'Krista gets everything' moments and you just lost control!
FALLON: You think I'd go that far?
KRISTA: I don't *know* what to think of you anymore! What kind of a person hurts their sister the way that you've hurt me?! You obliterated my future with Leo... and now you're letting him go to jail for something that you did! I mean, you're sick.

Krista storms off. Fallon looks distressed.

Erinsborough Police Station
Leo is waiting anxiously at reception, while Remi sits on a chair behind him. Detective Kay emerges from the interview room, followed by Taye; she tells him he'll need to come back in to sign a new statement. Leo takes the opportunity to ask Kay about what the new footage of Fallon means for him.

KAY: We'll come to you if something changes.
LEO: What do you mean, 'if'? This changes everything!

At this point, a dejected looking Fallon walks in.

FALLON: You're right. I've been holding something back, and I can't anymore... I did it. I killed Seb.
