It's Neighbours 40th Anniversary week and there is no opening titles, just an amended title card.

Lassiters Complex
Nell's 'The Story of Erinsborough' artwork is up around the complex for all to see. JJ and Dex are impressed at seeing it throughout the complex as they walk around with Nell.

Harolds café
There is a warm welcoming party from Toadie, Terese. Paul and the K's for Nell when she and the boys enter the café. Nell is rightly getting the plaudits for her work although Karl thinks some of the posters "are a little confronting" but Susan's immediate comeback is that if she "can handle the skeletons, so can you!"

KARL: Well life in this suburb has never been boring, I'll give you that!

Toadie is very proud of his daughter and Nell wonders where Krista is, but Terese points out that she wouldn't expect a bride on the morning of her wedding to be out and about. Paul assumes too, that Fallon will be treating the bride to be to breakfast in bed.

Lassiters Complex
Except Fallon is out and about in the complex and is looking at the display featuring brides from the past. In Fallon's head, we hear Taye bluntly telling her she is selfish and cruel as well as pointing out that Leo doesn't love her!

Lassiters hotel (Krista's apartment)
As the aptly named 'Buried at sea' plays, we see Krista standing looking at herself in the mirror, while in the background, Seb is still asleep in her bed.

(Later)

Krista is now sitting on the sofa when Fallon enters the apartment and is asked if she spent the night with Leo?

FALLON: I've been resenting you for the longest time. I was hurting, so I wanted to hurt you too.
KRISTA: Well you succeeded.
FALLON: I thought I was in love with him, but he doesn't feel the same way. He's never looked at me like that. Not once.
KRISTA: (confused) What are you talking about?
FALLON: I never slept with Leo. I lied. He loves you. He's never stopped and he wants to marry you today.

Barely has Fallon said those words, when Seb comes out of the bedroom and from the way he smiles at Fallon (her look back at him is utter content!) Krista starts to put 2+2 together and suddenly says "Oh my god!"

Number 24
Leo can't get hold of Krista and interprets that as an indication of how she is feeling.

Paul arrives and wants to know exactly what happened, so Leo explains about him/Krista having another fight about Seb. That isn't too surprising to Paul, plus he knows they've worked through the Seb issues before. Aaron interjects to suggest that "Fallon's been in the mix" although Leo won't agree with that and Aaron wants him to go talk to Krista. Nicolette joins in the conversation, to point out that a "slight tradition" prevents that from happening, so Paul suggests that if Leo can't go, there is nothing to stop someone else from paying Krista a visit.

Lassiters hotel (Krista's apartment)
Krista is demanding answers from her sister over the "horrible lie."

FALLON: We need to tell her everything.
SEB: Alright, but don't make me the bad guy… you wanted this too!

Fallon then breaks the news to Krista that she and Seb were together in Greece, that he is the guy she proposed to and who broke her heart. Seb adds that he didn't feel the same way [about Fallon] which is why he came to Australia because it is Krista that he wants to be with!

FALLON: Krista, listen to me. All the issues you and Leo have been having, that was me trying to break you up.
SEB: (interrupting) Last night meant something. You can't deny that.
FALLON: (continuing) Whatever happened, you can still marry Leo today.

Seb doesn't think so given Krista clearly has feelings for him!

Krista is like a stunned rabbit looking into oncoming headlights in not knowing what to think but a knock on the door curtails the conversation and Fallon warns Seb to keep quiet before going to answer the door. It's Paul who Fallon lets in and he immediately sees an upset Krista.

PAUL: I hope all I'm seeing here is pre- wedding jitters.

When Krista doesn't respond, he orders Fallon and Seb out of the apartment to allow them to chat privately.

Lassiters Complex
It's Cara and Remi's turn to congratulate Nell on the exhibition before they say bye to each other as Remi has to head to work (she's going to miss the wedding but asks for lots of pictures).

However after a goodbye kiss, Cara heads off to look around the exhibition but Remi moves to the side and makes a call, however whoever it is she is talking to, she's pretending to be Chelsea Murphy!

Meanwhile Seb isn't happy at Fallon and the "attack of the guilts" she has, stuffing everything up for him! "They don't want us," she bluntly points out and thus "we need to leave them alone."

Lassiters hotel (Krista's apartment)
A teary Krista tells Paul that she doesn't deserve Leo, she is too good for her. Paul thinks otherwise and comments that Seb's return has "put a bit of a spanner in the works."

KRISTA: I never want to see Sebastian again.

Paul agrees and that she needs to cut him out of her life "once and for all." He then asks if she loves Leo and her immediate response is "more than anything," so his advice now is for her to "just forget about Sebastian" as well as the past because "Leo absolutely adores you." Krista is happy stunned at what she's heard and Paul tells her to go get ready for the wedding.

Number 24
After getting a text from Paul, and with a smile on his face equivalent to having got a last minute reprieve from the gallows, Leo turns to everyone gathered in the kitchen to announce "she's going to be there!"

Lassiters Complex
When the teens come across the Dee/FakeDee/Toadie artwork, Dex asks Nell if Toadie has seen it yet and her reply is a cryptic "no names, to protect the guilty!"

DEX: This is a weird place to live, isn't it?!
NELL: Yeah!

JJ spots someone looking at one of the artworks - a Madge and Helen one from back in the day. He tells the person that it was his girlfriend with a bit of help from his brother who did the artwork.

We then see who it is JJ is talking to…and low and behold it is Ghosty Madge herself! Like the audience, JJ spots the similarity between the person in front of him and the artwork picture.

JJ: You look a lot like her.

While [most of] the audience are going yes, it is Ghosty Madge, she doesn't correct the lad and it is the credits who say this person isn't Ghosty Madge but someone called Agnes.

After Ghosty Madge leaves, Dex and Nell arrive and JJ asks Nell for the name of the woman in the artwork [he's pointing to Madge]. Nell confirms that the name is Madge and she's Harold's wife who "passed away ages ago." JJ is now the one that has seen a ghost and Nell asks if he is okay?

NELL: You look like you've seen a ghost!
JJ: …

Wedding venue
The guests make themselves comfortable via the drinks and capapes from the passing waiters ahead of the wedding.

While they too wait, Karl asks Susan if there is "some sort of Erinsborough Law that says you have to marry everyone we know?!" "I think there is," she quickly replies back.

Meanwhile, Nicolette tells her mum to stop thinking about Clint. Jane can't help thinking about him, given they are at a wedding and so asks her daughter it she isn't thinking about Yaz too?

NICOLETTE: And all of my other failed romances.

Krista hasn't forgotten about an invite to Melanie, and she reminds us all of her 'unique' laugh when she meets up with Toadie before the pair share a friendly hug.

Leo is nervous as anything as they wait, and Aaron reminds him about what Paul said - that Krista would be there.

Lassiters hotel (Krista's apartment)
Except when we cut to Krista she is very far from being ready for her wedding and sits with the rollers in twirling her engagement rock.

Who is ready though is Fallon, who is tyring to still score her place in the wedding for the sake of keeping up appearances even though she knows Krista doesn't want her there.

"How am I supposed to marry Leo today?" Krista asks and the immediate reply back is because she loves him, but Krista knows she's betrayed Leo. Fallon puts her hand on Krista's shoulder and goes to say she can pretend it didn't happen but before she can get the 'happen' bit fully out, Krista knocks her sisters hand away/stops her from completing the sentence.

KRISTA: Our entire marriage will be based on a lie.
FALLON: A lie that started with me… me and my crazy vendetta.

Fallon urges her sister to marry Leo, promising that she (and Seb) will get out of her life.

FALLON: Don't throw away our happiness because of us.

What feels like moments later, as Krista is looking at her headpiece, Fallon lets Paul and the girls into the apartment and they rush off to find Krista. She is chuffed at how beautiful they are in their dresses as Paul chuckles at her praise for them too before asking if she is ready [if she wants to get married in her dressing gown it's a yes!] before then adding for her not to be late!

Ramsay Street
JJ looks through the Ramsay Street history book until he comes across the info on Madge and Harold and the teens get a history lesson. JJ still believes it was Ghosty Madge he saw, given the likeness was "really uncanny" despite the scepticism of the other two!

Lassiters Complex
Ghosty Madge gets a chuckle out of more artwork… this time Mark Gottleib telling Annalise Hartman he can't marry her which is at the bottom of one of the pools in the complex.

Wedding venue
A very nervous groom stands waiting at the altar in front of all the seated guests waiting for the bride to arrive. Just as the guests are beginning to notice the delay, Taye spots the brides arrival via a boat cutting across Port Philip Bay!

As 'Who we love' begins, Krista is almost recreating a solo version of the famous Titanic film scene as she stands watching land come into focus… or maybe it's because she might pop out of her wedding dress if she were to try and sit down!!!

Eventually, much to Leo's relief, the boat docks and Paul safely gets Krista off and the pair follow as Fallon leads the flowergirls towards the venue.

A few seconds later, while Paul organises the girls with something he's planned, Fallon urges her sister to "marry the man you love" before then heading towards the venue with the girls.

(Later)

The girls throw petals onto the ground as they walk up the aisle, followed behind them by Fallon who is just ahead of Paul and Krista. When they get to the altar, Paul then gently kisses Krista on the cheek before going to join the seated guests. After a few very deep breaths from Leo, we hear Susan start the ceremony.

SUSAN: We're gathered here today to celebrate the love story of Krista and Leo. And what a story it is!

Outside the venue we see Seb hovering about. While at the altar, the bride and groom looking nervously at each other ahead of the commercial break!

(Later)

Commercial break later and it is time for vows, beginning with Leo.

LEO: Krista, if the last couple of years have taught me anything, it's that you have to seize every single moment. The future isn't promised to anyone and you have to cherish the people you love. You know I'm not the easiest person in the world and yes, sometimes I get in my own way, but you put me back on track. You make me a better man. Abby and I are so, so lucky to have you. I love you so much Krista, I… I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I can't think of a better mother for Abby.

Seb looks like he's found a way into the venue.

When we return to the altar, Susan has to prompt Krista to begin saying her vows. Unlike Leo, she seems extremely hesitant to begin talking and when she does, she seems to talk very quietly.

KRISTA: Leo, I never thought that someone would accept me for me, accept me for all of my many faults. From the first time that you met me, you showed me a kindness and acceptance and love that I couldn't have dreamed of. I love you. And I love Abby. And I can't imagine my life without you. I never want to lose you.
LEO: You won't.

As 'Satellite' begins, Susan almost isn't sure how to respond to the vows they've made to one another, setting instead for a safe "beautiful!" She asks if there is anyone with an objection before getting to the important bit! "Do it," Abby shouts out followed seconds later by Isla saying the same thing to the amusement of the gathered guests!

We see Seb now start to the external stairs into the venue.

The laughter from the guests subsides and Aaron passes over the rings as Susan commences the formal part of the ceremony.

SUSAN: Leo, do you take Kirsta to be your lawfully wedded wife?
LEO: I do.

Leo places the wedding band on Krista's finger.

SUSAN: Kirsta, do you take Leo to be your lawfully wedded husband?
KRISTA: I do.

Leo looks a relived man after hearing those words as Krista then places his wedding band on his finger and Susan can officially pronounce them as married! Susan leads the applause and cheers of the guests as the newly weds seal their vows with a kiss.

The noise of the cheering guests watching the pashing couple hides the noise of Seb coming up the stairs. The guests are also too distracted to notice Fallon move away from where the wedding was held, and go down the [external] stairs to stop Seb from getting to the final level where the wedding has just happened.

Unseen from the guests where they are standing, an angry Fallon reminds Seb that she told him to stay away, but his appearance is just to see if Krista did go through with the wedding. Fallon reminds Seb that they "need to let them be happy" and orders him to leave.

Somone has noticed her absence though - Taye and he comes down the stairs to where Fallon/Seb are standing. He caught the tail end of their conversation and asks Seb if he needs help finding the exit?! Silently, Seb walks back down the external stairs and Fallon sincerely thanks Taye.

Back upstairs, Leo admits to Kirsta that he didn't think she was going to come. In turn, she asks that they "just put it all behind us" and the pair then share another lingering kiss before breaking for air!

LEO: Hello wife!
KRISTA: Hello husband!

(Later)

It's full on party mode now for the guests with the bride and groom [finally] joining them and doing their first dance.

Lassiters Complex
Ghosty Madge stands looking at the famous Scott/Charlene wedding picture when in the distance JJ (and Nell) spot her. Semi- hiding behind the buses, the pair get out their phones to take photos of Ghosty Madge.

Wedding venue
It's high- noon for the sisters, as away from the other guests, Fallon reassures her sister that she did the right thing. In turn, Krista asks if Fallon really resents her? The explanation, rather than a direct response, is that when the dumped Fallon realised Seb was in Australia with Krista, she was "consumed by so much rage" because it felt "like another case of privileged Krista getting everything she wants." Krista reminds Fallon that isn't how her life has been.

FALLON: I wasn't sure! Then I got to know Leo, and I was worried you were gonna hurt him. in the end, it was me who hurt you both.

Their chat is interrupted when Leo comes over, followed moments later by Melanie wanting to congratulate the bride and groom.

(Later)

Krista is sitting in the open- topped Rolls Royce with her back to the gathered so she can throw her bouquet (Melanie catches it).

While Leo is saying his warm farewells to his dad, Fallon comes over to say bye to Krista. Rather than the warm farewells the men are having, it is a very icy Krista who tells Fallon not to be there when she returns!

Leo then walks over to the car, now Fallon has moved off, to ask Krista if she's ready for the honeymoon and is a "yeah" back and they share a final kiss before he gets in beside her, as Mr Chauffer also gets into the car, to drive the pair off.

Away from the other guests, who are following the car, Cara gets a call from Remi - but whatever it was Cara has been told, she looks shocked!

Another look at the artwork and this time the one of Dan standing beside Libby and Steph announcing they are having a baby.

Ramsay Street
Remi is waiting outside #30 as Cara arrives home from the wedding. "I can't believe this is happening," Cara tells Remi and apparently its "a bit of a story," which Remi promises to fill her in with when they go inside.

However, before they move inside #30, another car appears - it's Paul and Terese back from the wedding… and they've just arrived back in the nick of time to see Chelsea taking a baby out of the car parked on the #30 driveway!

CHELSEA: Hello Paul.
PAUL: Chelsea.
TERESE: You've had a baby!
CHELSEA: I think it's time you met!
