Leo and Krista are enthusing about their imminent wedding day while Fallon looks customarily mardy. The happy couple seem content with the wedding being a small affair, and we learn they've decided not to invite Krista's mum. Leo asks if Krista has spoken to Paul; she says she's doing it tomorrow, but it's not clear yet what that is about.
Fallon announces she's going for a walk, and heads out. Once she's gone, Krista talks to Leo about what Aaron said at the hucks party, about wondering whether Fallon was happy for them.
LEO: Well, of course she is. She's probably just feeling a bit awkward because she was supposed to get married in Greece... Do you think there's more to it?
KRISTA: I dunno. She did insist on being a bridesmaid. I just don't want her to be upset.
LEO: Well, I can talk to her.
KRISTA: I can.
LEO: Well, she's been pretty good at opening up to me, so...
KRISTA: Yeah, I noticed. Kind of feeling a bit on the outer... I'm just kidding. No, you go.
Leo kisses her and then heads off to find Fallon.

Roxy has joined Paul, Terese, Nell and Toadie and expresses her condolences about Big Kev's death. Nell is upset that she's not going to get a chance to see her grandfather again. Toadie says the illness progressed quicker than they thought.
TOADIE: Darling, he knew that you loved him.
Paul whispers to Terese that she'll give everyone a bit of space, and heads out, while Toadie and Roxy comfort Nell. Roxy then heads upstairs, Terese warning her as she goes that she hasn't 'finished with her' over her behaviour towards Susan.
JJ arrives at the front door and asks Nell if she's okay. She shakes her head and they share a long hug. Nell then gets a message from the printer about her exhibition. It's the first Toadie has heard about it, and under the circumstances Nell isn't keen to talk about it - but Terese explains that her artwork will be on display at the Lassiter's Complex next week.
TOADIE: Wow, sweetheart, that's amazing! Grandad would be so proud of you.
But Nell is still very upset, despite JJ's best attempts to comfort her.
Lassiter's Hotel
Max is in the room that Holly arranged for him when Shane storms in, with Andrew and Holly in tow.
SHANE: What the hell are you playing at?
HOLLY (to Max): I had to tell him.
Shane grabs Max's passport from the table and demands to know why he didn't call, saying he could have helped. Andrew agrees.
MAX: You don't know these guys like I do.
SHANE (shouting): Do you know how scared we've all been, hmm? What if you got hurt?
MAX: It's okay, Shane. He didn't.
SHANE (softening): Come here.
He gives Max a hug.
SHANE: Don't you ever shut me out again, okay?
MAX: Look, this isn't how this was supposed to happen. You're all in danger now.
ANDREW: Look, you've got to have a little bit more faith in us, mate. Trust me - we're gonna sort this.
Lassiter's Complex
Nicolette is on the phone to Cara's cousin Maddy. We only hear Nic's side of the chat.
NICOLETTE: I appreciate you wanting to make sure there are no hard feelings, Maddy. But it's unnecessary, because I'm fine, and I actually don't need closure for a minor hookup, so... Yeah! You have a good life, too. You have fun delivering newborns in Cranbourne (!)
As she finishes the phone conversation, Remi and Cara approach, but Remi seems unkeen to linger and talk to Nicolette, instead going into the pub to order food. Cara and Nic greet each other awkwardly.
CARA: So you're still friends with Maddy?
NICOLETTE: After that phone call? I don't think so.
CARA: Look, you're a good friend, Nic. It's just gonna take some people longer to see it. Have a good night.
The Waterhole
Remi comes in and runs into Karl, who she hasn't seen since his return from Italy. She asks after his leg and his jet lag; Karl says he's getting there.
KARL: Although I am running low on painkillers. My specialist forgot to send me a repeat. Can I trouble you to write me a script when you get a sec?
REMI: Oh, yeah, of course. What are you taking?
KARL: Oh, just ten milligrams of oxycodone, when necessary.
REMI: Still? That's a high dose.
KARL: Yeah, I'm still getting some neuropathic pain from the screw placement. It should sort itself out in a month, then I can taper back.
Remi promises to send him a repeat prescription, but as she walks off, Karl looks a little shifty.
No 22
Nell is cuddled up on the sofa with JJ, while Terese and Toadie sit nearby.
JJ: It sounds like your grandpa was pretty sick.
NELL: Mm. Yeah, well, at least he's not in pain anymore.
Nell and JJ head into the other room holding hands, while Terese offers some words of comfort to a struggling Toadie.
TERESE (to Toadie): Listen, I know how hard it is to stay strong for others when you're falling apart.
TOADIE: Yeah. I thought I was prepared for this.
TERESE: I don't think anyone can be fully prepared when it comes to grief.
TOADIE: Dad didn't say that he loved me very often, but he... he showed it, in so many different ways. I remember, when I was a little kid, he built all these BMX jumps for me and all my mates. The time he taught me how to drive the truck just so I could show off to all the kids at school...
TERESE: How's Angie coping?
TOADIE: She's lost.
TERESE: Well, they were together for a very long time.
TOADIE: Mm. She's gonna miss having her sparring partner.
TERESE: And what about Hugo?
TOADIE: He's a mess. But, you know... he's pretty resilient.
They hold hands.
TERESE: And what about you? Are you gonna be alright?
TOADIE: Yeah. I just wish I had more time.
Lassiter's Lake
Fallon is sitting on a bench in the courtyard when Leo catches up with her. He sits down next to her, and asks if she's feeling okay about the wedding after what happened with the guy in Mykonos.
FALLON: I've been trying not to show it.
LEO: You don't have to put on a front for us.
FALLON: Honestly, the whole experience has made me realise how wrong my ex was for me.
LEO: Okay. Well, that's a good thing.
FALLON: I thought I could fix him, but... people don't change. Not deep down. Those sorts of people... they're meant for each other.
LEO: Yeah. Well, sounds like you dodged a bullet.
FALLON: Marriage is a big step. You have to be really ready for it.
LEO: I agree.
But Leo isn't taking the hint about his own marriage to Krista, and tells Fallon it's okay if she wants to pull out from being bridesmaid.
FALLON: It's okay. I'm looking to my future now. Thanks for caring about me.
LEO: Always.
She rests her head on his shoulder and he puts an arm around her - just as Krista turns up to find out where they've got to, and sees them together.
Lassiter's Hotel
Roxy and Paul have now joined the conference in Max's hotel room alongside Holly and Shane. Roxy's relieved to see that Max is safe and well.
HOLLY: Paul, I am so sorry for breaking into your place. I just didn't know what else to do.
PAUL: It's alright.
SHANE: You were just looking out for Max. If I'd done a better job of it, he wouldn't have been put in that position.
PAUL: Yeah, I suppose the same can be said about me too.
HOLLY (to Max): Do you forgive me for telling them?
But before he can answer, Andrew comes in to give them an update. The police haven't located Carter yet, but he says it's 'early days' and that the organised crime taskforce is on it, so he won't get away. Andrew thinks the hotel room is the best place for Max until Carter is in custody. Paul says that's fine by him, and that he'll also arrange to beef up hotel security.
SHANE: You're safe now, Max, alright? This'll be over soon.
But Max is still looking worried.
702 Eclipse Apartments
Krista is waiting up for Leo, who's taken longer than expected with Fallon. He comes in, and reports that the wedding has brought up some feelings for Fallon about her ex. Krista asks if she should talk to Fallon too, but Leo recommends she just leave it; she's gone on a walk to clear her head.
KRISTA: You know, when Fallon first got here, I thought that we would get closer. But I still feel like I hardly know her.
LEO: Well, you guys will get there. I mean, the wedding will bring you together.
But Krista looks unconvinced.

Karl is sitting with Toadie and expressing his condolences for the loss of Big Kev. He suggests waking Susan to join them, but Toadie says he'll tell her the news tomorrow once she's over her jet lag. Toadie is very tearful.
KARL: You know, Toad, Susan and I consider you family. If you ever need anyone just to sit and listen, we're here for you.
Toadie nods through the tears, and grabs Karl's hand.
702 Eclipse Apartments
The next morning, Krista asks Fallon how her chat with Leo went last night.
FALLON: Good. Thanks.
KRISTA: It's really good that you can open up to him.
FALLON: Sorry, I've been all over the place. Blame my ex- fiancé.
KRISTA: You know, I wish you'd tell me more about him. I'm a good listener, too.
FALLON: The truth is, I'm embarrassed I fell for him. The less said, the better.
KRISTA (disappointed): ... Fair enough.
Krista reminds Fallon that they're meeting the dressmaker at 11, but there's something she has to do first. Fallon agrees to meet her downstairs, but before Krista goes, asks her what she wants her to do with Seb's old sweater that he left behind. Krista admits that she never got a forwarding address for him in Sydney.
FALLON: Send me his number. I'll reach out and send it to him. That way you don't have to deal with him.
KRISTA: That would be really helpful, yeah, thank you.
Fallon looks shifty.
Lassiter's Hotel
Max is pacing around the hotel room looking worried, when Roxy and Holly come in with food and drink, and to keep him company. Plus, Roxy says, she's trying to escape Auntie T as she's in her bad books!
HOLLY: Yeah, I heard about you trying to get Susan fired! That's classy (!)
ROXY: I said I was sorry.
HOLLY: And that makes up for it?
ROXY: Like you have never done anything wrong.
MAX: Well, this is really cheering me up (!)
Andrew and Shane come in. It's bad news; Carter has vanished, Andrew says, and so they think this is the best place for Max to lay low, where they can keep eyes and ears on him at all times. Shane reports that Paul now has 'blokes' guarding the hotel.
MAX: Carter's got guys everywhere. It's only a matter of time before he finds out where I am.
ANDREW: And we'll be there, and we'll arrest him.
MAX: What, so you just want me to sit here and be bait?
SHANE: Right now, we think that's the best plan of action.
Penthouse
Krista has come to see Paul, who's heard that Fallon is going to be her bridesmaid. He says Krista must be enjoying having Fallon here, but is unconvinced by Krista's 'yeah!' response.
KRISTA: Hey, how close are you with Lucy?
PAUL: I'd probably consider her to be one of my best friends.
KRISTA: Was it always like that, or did you have to work for it?
PAUL: Oh, I think every relationship needs work. Why, what's going on with Fallon?
KRISTA: No, nothing really... we're just not getting along like I thought we would. And she doesn't really open up to me.
PAUL: You know, just because you're family, it doesn't mean you can force a connection. I mean, it'll come. You just have to be patient.
KRISTA: See, I'm not good at that.
PAUL: Yeah, people like us never are. With the exception of tomorrow. Because then, we are gonna savour every single moment you've planned with this grand entrance of yours.
KRISTA (smiling): Yeah, about that... I actually had something that I wanted to ask you... Will you give me away tomorrow?
PAUL: Me?
KRISTA: Yeah. I always imagined that my father would do it... but he's not here. And I want someone by my side who means a lot to me.
Paul looks very moved, and takes Krista's hand.
PAUL: I would be honoured. Truly honoured.
They laugh.
Lassiter's Complex
Krista runs into Fallon in the courtyard.
FALLON: I'm so sorry... I thought he was still in Sydney. I said no, but he insisted.
KRISTA: What?
Fallon turns around to reveal Seb standing behind her.
SEB (to Krista): I know that you didn't want to see me, but... when Fallon rang, I couldn't help myself.
KRISTA: You look so well.
SEB: I am well, Krista. Really well. I feel better than I have in years.
Krista hugs him, thrilled that the rehab has worked for him. Fallon smirks at Seb behind Krista's back...
Harold's Café
In a brief conversation, Karl thanks Remi for having sent him a prescription via email. Meanwhile, Toadie has met up with Terese. She says she knows the whole point of Nell living with her was to shield her from Big Kev's illness in Colac, and wants to know, now he's gone, whether he'll be wanting Nell to go back and live with him.
TOADIE: Uh, well, after the funeral, I was wanting to take the family over to the States to visit Callum.
TERESE: Oh, that's a lovely idea. How long for?
TOADIE: I'm not sure. Nell can't be away from school for too long... How would you feel about her staying on with you?
TERESE: I would love that. In fact, I'd keep her forever if I could. Umm... but there is something that I need to be transparent with you about... Paul has said that he would like to move back into my place.
TOADIE: Oh...
TERESE: I mean, obviously, I said that I wouldn't make any decisions until I'd spoken to you and Nell first.
TOADIE: Yeah, umm... Terese, I will be eternally gratefully for you looking out for Nell. Um, just... if Paul's gonna live under the same roof, I don't think I can get on board with that.
TERESE (downplaying): Oh... that's fine. Look, it was just something that we discussed vaguely.
TOADIE: It's your house, it's your life. You've got to do what's right by you. I'm just saying that if... Paul moves in, Nell's gonna have to move out.
Lassiter's Hotel
Max moans to Roxy and Holly that Shane and Andrew are treating him like a kid; he should get a say in what's going on, rather than Shane taking over like he always does.
HOLLY: He's just trying to do what's best for you. I mean, we all are.
ROXY: It seems like the best option to me.
MAX: I'm a sitting duck, right? And I know Paul and Andrew think they're protecting me, but they can't. (to Holly) I wouldn't even be in this mess if you just hadn't gone behind my back.
ROXY: Uh, I understand you're stressed, but you don't take that out on Holly.
MAX: I'm stuck here because of her!
ROXY: It is not Holly's fault, okay? And it's not forever. The cops, they'll catch Carter soon, and it'll all be over.
MAX (to Holly): I'm sorry.
HOLLY: No worries.
ROXY: Oh, isn't it just so much better when we're all mates? Yeah? Should we raid the mini- fridge and go ham on the choccies?
But at this point, Roxy gets a text from Lachie, asking if she wants to catch up. She looks a bit put out...
Lassiter's Complex
Seb, Krista and Fallon are chatting outside the hotel. Seb tells Krista she was right to suggest he go to rehab, claiming that it's really changed his life. She's glad he stuck with it.
SEB: I've got clarity for the first time in... I dunno how long.
KRISTA: It's an amazing feeling, isn't it?
Fallon goes to get some coffees, leaving them to talk alone.
KRISTA: I'm really sorry I said no to catching up.
SEB: No, I get it.
KRISTA: Leo was really angry when he found out that you kissed me.
SEB: How are things now?
KRISTA: I love him. And he's the one that I want to be with. You understand?
SEB: I do.
Krista smiles. Meanwhile, Fallon is watching them from a distance, smirking again. Rather than ordering coffees, she messages Leo, asking him to meet her here. Just as she sends the message, Taye appears behind her, wanting to know what she's doing.
FALLON: Don't creep up on me like that.
TAYE: You want to talk about creepy behaviour? Who's the guy?
But he guesses for himself that it's Seb, without Fallon needing to answer.
FALLON: He's swung by for a visit. Save the judgement - I know what I'm doing.
Taye looks unimpressed as Fallon walks off.
No 22
Toadie, Terese, Karl, Nell and JJ are all in the kitchen. Toadie says he's going to head to Colac after Leo and Krista's wedding to help Angie with arranging the funeral, which will be some time next week. Toadie assures Nell that Angie and Hugo are being really well looked after by his brother Stonie and his partner Chantelle.
Paul comes in with some food he's brought them all from the hotel, to save them cooking. Toadie takes this as his cue to go and get some air, and invites Nell and JJ to join him for a walk. Karl says he'll go with them, and the four of them leave.
PAUL: Something I said?
TERESE: I, umm... I made the mistake of mentioning the idea of you moving in.
PAUL: Ah.
TERESE: And I'm really sorry, but it was a hard no. Look, if I had it my way, you'd be moving in today, but I just... I just think we might have to leave it for now.
PAUL: Yeah, no, of course. I understand. We're just gonna have to be patient, and try a little bit further down the track, eh?
But Paul looks disappointed.
Lassiter's Complex
Fallon has rejoined Seb and Krista. Seb tells Krista it was good timing that Fallon messaged when she did, as he was just getting ready to leave.
KRISTA: It was good to see you.
SEB: Same.
Krista suggests to Fallon that they head off for the dressmaker appointment, and Krista goes to collect her things from upstairs so they can leave. But shortly afterwards, Leo appears, having come to meet Fallon as requested, and is furious to see Seb sitting there.
LEO: What the hell...?
FALLON: He got here after I messaged you.
LEO: What part of 'stay away' don't you understand?!
SEB: It's good to see you too, champ.
LEO: Krista doesn't want to see you.
SEB (mocking): Well, that's funny. We just had a great little chat. Oh, come on, give us a hug, mate!
But rather than giving him a hug, Leo grabs Seb by the collar and shoves him against one of the pillars. Krista, who has been waiting for the lift, notices the commotion and comes back outside.
KRISTA: Leo!
LEO (to Seb): You've got some nerve, mate.
KRISTA: Stop! What are you doing? Get off him!
But a raging Leo still has a frightened- looking Seb in his grip...
