Andrew is on the phone reporting Sadie missing to his colleagues, while Aaron, Byron and Max talk about her disappearance. Byron doesn't think Sadie would ever leave a bar with 'some random' of her own volition, and wants to go and look for her. But Max says there's something he needs to know first.
MAX: I think I was the one that was meant to get roofied. It might've been payback for something I did in Brisbane.
BYRON: Payback?
MAX: The reason I came to Erinsborough was because I got in trouble in Queensland, and there might be some bad people after me.
Byron is angry and gets up in Max's face, wanting answers, but Aaron queries why the 'bad people' would go after Sadie if they're here for Max. Max says he doesn't know. Having finished his call, Andrew announces that he's heading to the Back Lane Bar to try and find Holly, and to check their CCTV. Byron wants to come, but Andrew tells him to stay; he's sending a police car to the house to stand guard for their protection.
ANDREW: No one is to leave. Understood?
702 Eclipse Apartments
Leo, Krista and Fallon are discussing food arrangements for the wedding, while Abigail sits on the sofa playing Wombat Watch on her tablet.
They've decided on a buffet for the food, and Fallon asks about speeches and a song for a first dance. Krista tells her they've got a shortlist, but Leo is looking distracted. Eventually he suggests they dispense with the formalities, as they have to be at the airport by 3pm (presumably for the honeymoon?) A subdued Krista agrees to keep things casual.
Abi is being mischievous so Leo chases her around the room a bit, before taking her out somewhere, leaving Fallon and Krista to talk. Krista admits that things still feel off kilter between her and Leo.
KRISTA: But I have an idea to try and turn things around. Do you think you can help me?
Fallon plasters on a smile and agrees.

Max is telling Byron and Aaron about how he roofied the bad guy in Queensland and drove him out into the bush, saying his intention was to protect his friend Kasey. Aaron declares the situation 'a mess'.
MAX: I know. I'm sorry I wasn't upfront. I was really hoping the drink- spiking was a coincidence.
At this point a tearful Holly comes in, and apologises to Byron for Sadie having gone missing on her watch. He hugs her. Andrew follows her in; he explains that they've got CCTV footage of Sadie leaving the bar with a guy, but he kept his head down so they can't identify him.
BYRON: Well, was she struggling, or was she hurt, or...?
ANDREW: She was wobbly. But as far as the footage goes, it just looks like she was drunk.
HOLLY: That can't be right. You don't get wobbly after a couple of drinks.
BYRON: Not unless you've been drugged.
Max looks very guilty indeed. Andrew heads back out again to search for Sadie, while everyone else looks worried.
The next morning, Max and Holly are on the patio while Byron stands sombrely by the pool. Andrew turns up again, but there's no news on Sadie's whereabouts. The police are beginning to source more CCTV from the surrounding area of the Back Lane Bar, he explains.
MAX: Is there anything we can do to help?
BYRON (shouting): Shut up, Max! Don't you think you've done enough? Sadie is missing, and it's his fault - and what, now you want to help?!
HOLLY: Byron, stop!
BYRON (shouting): Who moves into a sharehouse knowing full well that they have criminals coming after them?
HOLLY: Byron, you need to calm down.
But Byron grabs Max by the collar and keeps shouting in his face.
BYRON: Who puts their friends in that kind of danger?!
Max tries to protest that he didn't mean to, but Byron is raging, and Max ends up on the floor. Andrew pulls Byron away from him, telling him that's enough - but Byron starts getting shirty with Andrew.
ANDREW (shouting): Stand back! Rein it in.
BYRON: It should've been you, Max.
MAX: I know, okay? I'm sorry.
Byron walks inside and Holly and Andrew follow, leaving Max lying on the grass looking upset. Once they're out of sight, Max gets up and leaves via the side gate onto Ramsay Street.
Lassiter's Hotel
Taye has exciting news for Krista; he's managed to book an iconic Canadian jazz legend, Bobby Favourite, to play at the Piano Bar!
KRISTA: Can we afford him?
TAYE: Using my powers of negotiation, I managed to get him for five grand.
Krista seems pleased at this, and congratulates Taye. Fallon turns up; it transpires that she's been helping Krista to arrange an unspecified surprise for Leo following their chat last night, but she claims not to have had any luck so far. Krista's disappointed, but thanks Fallon for trying. Krista leaves.
TAYE: What surprise?
FALLON: Just something she wanted to do for Leo.
TAYE: And you really tried to help?
FALLON (smirking): I did... a little.
TAYE: You know she's not into your ex, so you can't be mad at her anymore.
FALLON: Actually, I only have Krista's word when it comes to Seb.
TAYE: Maybe you should just be happy for her and Leo?
At this point, Fallon notices Leo coming into reception with Abi, making sure her jacket's on properly, and she smiles fondly at him. Leo waves back at her, then heads off outside with Abi. Fallon is still smiling absently once Leo's gone, and Taye doesn't fail to notice...
Power Road
Max is wandering along, presumably looking for Sadie, as scary underscore plays. A car pulls up and a man greets Max from inside.
MAN: Remember me?
MAX: Uh, no, sorry.
The man gets out of the car.
MAN: Oh, you big fibber. You do not want to make this harder on yourself, mate. Get in the car, Max.
MAX: ...
MAN: I said, get in the car.
MAX: What have you done with Sadie? If you've hurt her...
MAN: Just jump in the car, and I'll tell you all about your girlfriend.
MAX: She's not even my girlfriend.
MAN: But you spend a lot of time with her.
MAX: She has nothing to do with what happened.
MAN: You know, we dumped her in some dense bushland. She won't be easy to find. No one found me for three whole days. How long do you reckon Sadie'll last?
It becomes clear that this is Carter, the guy that Max roofied and left in the bush in Queensland after Carter roofied his friend Kasey.
CARTER: Get in the car, and I'll make sure that sweet little Sadie doesn't have to spend another cold and lonely night in the middle of nowhere. Clear?
Max agrees, and reluctantly gets into the car.
The Bushâ„¢
From a distance, we see that Sadie is lying on the grass in some dense bushland, just as Carter claimed. She's in the same clothes she disappeared in, but it's not clear whether she's alive or dead...
Lassiter's Complex
Remi is excited to hear from Taye that Bobby Favourite will be performing at the Piano Bar - Remi wants to come along, and thinks Taye should tell their dad too, so he can see that Taye is 'kicking goals'. Taye thanks Remi for having his back, and they bump fists.
REMI: Bobby Favourite - get outta here!
They each go their separate ways. Meanwhile, outside Harold's, Nicolette is telling Cara about Sadie's disappearance. Nic reports that Byron is very withdrawn, as he feels so powerless, and says Cara must feel similar about Chelsea and that's why she's so keen to look for her.
CARA: Yeah... actually, I've been thinking that we should stop. Maddy was right; Chelsea knows exactly where I am. Clearly she doesn't want me to find her.
Nicolette looks really disappointed; it's obvious how much she's enjoyed befriending Cara.
NICOLETTE: So, that's it?
CARA: I just think I need to move on.

Andrew, Byron and Holly come back into the garden, and find that Max has gone.
BYRON: I'm not apologising.
Aaron turns up and asks if there's any news on Sadie, but there isn't; Andrew explains that the missing person squad has now taken on the case. Aaron says that Wendy must be beside herself being so far away, but an emotional Andrew admits he hasn't actually told her yet.
ANDREW: I can't put that off any longer.
However, at that moment, he gets a phone call from the station. Once he's finished, he tells the others that there's been an anonymous tip- off, telling them that Sadie has been left in bushland west of Plenty. Andrew's heading there now, and Byron says he's coming with him. They leave together. Holly becomes tearful, and Aaron hugs her.
Yorokobi
Leo is doing some paperwork when Fallon turns up for work; Leo says she needn't have come in today, but she says she's bored of sitting around in the apartment. Plus, she admits she's worried about Leo.
FALLON: I know you asked to read Seb's letter, and Krista said no.
LEO: Well, it's part of his rehab, so I get it.
FALLON: It's still on your mind, though, isn't it?
LEO: Yeah. I just can't help but think he's planning an encore appearance at some stage. Like, the new and improved version.
FALLON: It's a possibility.
LEO: I don't know how we'd navigate it.
Leo gets a text message, and looks confused - then heads outside into the courtyard. Fallon follows. Krista is standing there in a classy red dress, while a woman with a violin and some sheet music stands nearby. As Leo approaches, Krista explains.
KRISTA: Since we're not having a first dance at our wedding, I thought, why not here?
LEO (smiling): Krista...
KRISTA: Hey, I know you don't rate yourself much as a dancer. But I think you're spectacular. I want to get back to where we were. Shall we?
The violinist begins to play as Krista and Leo dance around the courtyard in one another's arms. Fallon, who is watching from a distance, can't stop herself smiling at first - but then a scowl gradually grows over her face, and she heads back inside.
The Bush
Ominous underscore plays as we return to Sadie; she wakes up in the grass and looks around, terrified. We see from her perspective that her vision is blurred, and she clearly has no idea where she is. Becoming tearful, she manages to get to her feet, hugging herself in the cold, and begins walking...
Shortly afterwards, Andrew, Byron and a couple of other police officers arrive nearby in a police car, and Byron begins to shout Sadie's name frantically, but there's no sign of her. Andrew tries to calm him down, saying they need to check out the whole area. Andrew directs his colleagues to go in one direction, while he and Byron go the opposite way.
Some time later, at the top of a hill, Byron calls Sadie's name again, but there's no reply. He and Andrew reconvene with the other policemen, who've also had no luck. But at this point, Andrew calls out again, and they hear Sadie shout 'Dad!' from somewhere nearby.
The four of them rush in the direction of Sadie's voice, and soon find her leaning against a tree. Sadie's really upset, and Byron and Andrew rush over to hug her, reassuring her that she's okay.
Yorokobi
Leo and Krista are having cheese and biscuits in the courtyard. Leo, now looking much happier, thanks Krista for his surprise.
Lassiter's Lake
Fallon is moaning to Taye that she couldn't bear to watch Krista and Leo dancing, claiming that Krista is merely 'papering over the cracks' with her surprise.
TAYE: What does it matter to you?
FALLON: Leo's a nice guy.
TAYE: Are you into him?
FALLON: No! It's just... they're very different people.
The conversation continues, interspersed with footage of Leo and Krista having a nice time at the vineyard.
TAYE: Opposites attract.
FALLON: They also hurt each other, and the people around them.
TAYE: Are they hurting you, Fallon? Because you're still not over your ex? Seeing them together burns - or maybe you have always resented her? She's the poor little rich girl, who always gets what she wants. Then there's you. Maybe all of the above.
Fallon's bitter expression implies that Taye has hit the nail on the head.
Yorokobi
Leo thanks Krista again.
KRISTA: I love you.
LEO: I love you too.
They kiss.
Power Road
Max is still in Carter's car. Carter has his phone, and sees a message come through from Holly, saying that Sadie has been found and asking Max to come home. Max lunges for the phone, but Carter snatches it away.
CARTER: Didn't I tell you that if you got in, your girlfriend would be safe?
Max tries to get out of the car, but Carter has locked the passenger door.
CARTER (laughs): Nice try, Maxie boy - but we've got somewhere to be. Buckle up mate - we don't want you to have a nasty little accident, do we?
Max obeys, and Carter drives off.
Erinsborough Hospital
Andrew is looking anxious and emotional in the corridor. In an adjacent room, Sadie is in a bed being checked out by Remi, who informs Sadie that she doesn't have any serious injuries. Byron and Holly are in the room with them; and as Remi leaves them to it, Byron takes Sadie's hand.
In the corridor...
ANDREW (shaken): Look, I know we're still waiting on the blood work, but... is there anything else that I need to know?
REMI: Thankfully, no.
Andrew is deeply relieved, and as Remi walks off, wipes his eyes before joining Sadie, Byron and Holly.
SADIE: Thanks for finding me.
ANDREW: Oh, I'm just glad that you're okay, kiddo.
BYRON: One hundred percent.
SADIE: Where's Max? Is he okay?
Byron and Holly exchange a glance. Holly explains that Max 'kind of ran off', but that she's texted him and hopefully he'll be back soon.
ANDREW: We'll keep an eye on Max. But for now... there's a very anxious mama bear who would love to hear from you.
Andrew passes Sadie a phone so she can call Wendy.
Later, Sadie is chatting to Aaron, who's joined all her other visitors; it seems they are bonding over their shared experience of both having been roofied. Sadie admits she's struggling to piece events together in her head, and Aaron says that he still has memory gaps of his own, so can identify with the feeling of being exposed and disoriented.
AARON: Hey, whenever you want to talk, you just give me a call, okay? Any time you like.
SADIE: Thanks, Az.
Holly gets a text purportedly from Max.
HOLLY (reading): 'Will be holed up here for a bit so nobody else gets hurt. It's better this way. You can chill. I'm fine.'
BYRON: A responsible decision, huh? Who would've thought?
SADIE: It can't be safe for him to be hiding out somewhere, can it?
ANDREW: Look, I can try calling him. But he's an adult. So as much as I want to keep an eye on him, it seems like he's made his choice.
Lassiter's Complex
Taye is seemingly on the phone to Bobby Favourite's agent! From what we gather from Taye's side of the conversation, he's transferred some money for the performance, but it's not enough.
TAYE: Wait... that was just the booking fee? Then how much is the performance fee?
Taye's mouth drops open as he hears the answer!
Nearby, Leo and Krista have arrived home from the vineyard, and they head into the hotel.
Lassiter's Hotel
Krista suggests to Leo that they 'continue the pleasantries' upstairs, and drags a willing Leo into the lift. We pan over to Fallon, who is at reception having seen them all loved up, looking very mardy indeed.
Taye comes in and rushes over to Fallon, saying he needs her help - he's ten grand short for Bobby Favourite's performance, and if he doesn't pay, the agent is going to cancel!
TAYE: I've bragged to everyone! If I lose him, Krista will probably fire me. Holly'll be ready to take my place...
FALLON: I don't think it'll come to that.
TAYE: Remi was so proud of me when I told her. You know how much this means to me. I even told my dad.
FALLON: Even if I wanted to help, I don't have that kind of money to throw around. Only people like Krista do - but it's not like you can ask your boss for a loan to fix your mistake.
TAYE: I sure can't... but you could do it for me.
FALLON: Excuse me?!
TAYE: You could just say you went over on your credit card or something.
FALLON: You're serious? Okay, did you miss the part where I never ask her for money?
TAYE: Did you miss the part when I kept it a secret about your relationship with Seb?
FALLON: You're asking me to do the one thing I can't!
TAYE: You need to work out a way, or I'm gonna tell Krista about your relationship with Seb. And the feelings that you say you don't have for Leo. Everything.
Fallon scowls.
