Garden of No.32
Aaron is in the spa. Trevor spies him, realises something is wrong, and starts barking. Meanwhile, Aaron's mouth slips below the water.

No.30
Cara wonders why Trevor is barking(!) JJ is fussing about his Valentine's present for Nell.

Remi asks Taye if he has a hot date today, he is evasive and heads out.

Dex asks how long Taye is staying - he hopes he'll stick around for a while.

JJ wonders why Trevor is barking(!)

Cara gets a text form Nicolette saying she's got some news about Chelsea.

School
JJ gives Nell her Valentine's Day present which is a holder for her phone. She seems to likes it though.

DEX: He wanted to take you out for dinner, but we're grounded.
JJ: Thank you for the reminder, Dex, appreciate that one(!)

JJ and Nell decide to have lunch instead.

Meanwhile, Clint is cleaning and sprays his cleaner on Jane's office door in the shaps of a heart. She smiles and beckons him in.

She awkwardly give him a pen as a Valentine's Day present.

CLINT: We said that we weren't doing any gifts?
JANE: Well, I...I saw it and I couldn't resist.
CLINT:(opening the box) Jane, it's beautiful. Might have to take this for a little spin and write you a letter!

He gets a text from Terese to go over to Eirini Rising urgently.

Harold's Cafe
Nicolette says that Aaron was out late last night - she didn't even hear him come home!

Holly tells Krista that they saw Aaron earlier in the evening. Meanwhile, she scowls at Nicolette until she retreats into the kitchen.

KRISTA: I thought things were better between you?
HOLLY: They are(!)

Holly asks Krista about the piano bar job and she assures her that she's a top contender and she'll make a decision today.

Cara comes in with Remi, who sits at a table. Nicolette tells Cara at the counter that her mate at the Department of Health has been doing some digging for her(!) and has confirmed that there is no record of Chelsea having a baby at any hospital in Victoria. Maybe she went Interstate, used another name or had a home- birth...

Garden of No.32
Finally someone has come to check on why Trevor is barking - it's Andrew. And just in time too as Aaron has just gone face down in the spa. He sets about resuscitating him while calling for help.

Eirini Rising
Moira, Vera and Terese are looking into a bin at a used condom in the empty flat (YUK)

Clint arrives and they tell him what's happened.

VERA: Wish I knew who was having all the fun! I'm a little jealous(!)

Moira starts speculating that it could be Gino(!) but Terese tells her that she can't point fingers.

VERA: If it was me or Gino we would be shouting from the rooftops! And we wouldn't leave the evidence lying around.

Clint is looking shifty.

TERESE: Clint, I'm sorry. Would you mind...?
CLINT: Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. No trouble!

Remi is having a spat with Taye and the party and is oblivious to Andrew in the garden next door who is presumably still calling for help(!)

Halfway through their conversation, a man comes in.

MAN: Will you two stop arguing?! I can hear you from the street!
TAYE: Dad!
REMI: What are you doing here?

Hospital
Andrew has apparently manage to save Aaron(!) who is sitting in a hospital bed, still looking woozy. He's confused as to what has happened.

Nicolette is there too and Andrew explains that if he'd been a few seconds later, Aaron would have drowned. She's very shocked.

Aaron has no idea what happened - he remembers leaving the Waterhole, but not much else. He didn't have much to drink, either and he assures her he didn't take any drugs.

Andrew raises the possibility of his drink being spiked.

Taye and Remi are talking to their father (who is seemingly American). Remi has apparently called Taye's aunt to find out why he's in Melbourne, and his father wants to know the answer to that too.

TAYE: Oh, I'm sorry, did hell just freeze over?! Are you two actually agreeing on something for once?
KEN: Don't be smart.
TAYE: When was the last time you two saw each other? Oh, you need help? My eighteenth birthday party - four years ago. (To Remi) When you decided to rock up for about an hour.
REMI: I was rostered at the hospital that night.
KEN: None of this is important.
TAYE: I think it is! Especially if you're going to start ganging up on me!
KEN: I didn't come here to fight. It's time to go home. I'm here to collect you.
TAYE: There is nothing for me in Apollo Bay! I want to stay here!
REMI:(surprised) Well, if that is the case, you'd better start talking!

Eirini Rising
Terese is telling Jane about the used condom - Moira tells her that the students could be using it as a "filthy love nest"(!) Clint is looking quite sheepish as he finishes cleaning up.

Jane looks awkward too, but they are diverted by Vera throwing shade at Moira(!)

VERA: Oh, give it up, Moira Marple! It's clearly one of the residents!
MOIRA: Why would they use a condom? None of them can get pregnant(!)
VERA: STIs are on the rise in the over- 55s. You've got your syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea...we are worse than koalas!

Terese cuts the conversation short and wonders if it could be connected to the missing floor cleaner(!)

JANE: If the culprits know they've been discovered, I'm sure they wouldn't be silly enough to...to try that again.
TERESE: Well, I hope you're right.

Jane awkwardly glances at Clint.

Ramsay Street
Holly has been shopping and sees Max on her way back up Ramsay Street. She tells him that she's one of the top contenders for the piano bar job and he is pleased for her.

Andrew comes over with some treats for Trevor for saving Aaron's life. Holly and Taye are shocked to hear about Aaron and even more shocked to hear about his drink being spiked.

When Andrew has gone, Holly wonders if it was meant for Max.

TAYE: It's time to think about what I want my future to be. Like, there is so many more opportunities here for me. Like, that seminar last week. It clarified everything. And you want me to be honest with you? Here it is. I look up to you.

Remi looks surprised.

TAYE: The life that you have built for yourself is truly amazing. And I want to be a part of it.

Remi looks takenaback.

REMI: Why didn't you tell me this sooner?
TAYE: I couldn't.
REMI: Why not?
TAYE: You don't want anything to do with me.
REMI: That is not true.
TAYE: You have always gone out of your way to avoid me.
REMI: I didn't. I don't.
TAYE: You never came to Christmas. You came to my 18th birthday for like a minute. But then you never came to any of my other birthdays.
REMI: I assumed you didn't want me there because I was never invited?
TAYE: Yes, you were! (To Ken) Wasn't she?!

There is a long pause. Taye is quite emotional by now.

KEN: Sometimes...you have to make decisions for the greater good. To keep the peace.
REMI: Sorry? Are you saying you deliberately kept us apart?

Ken looks down. Tears falls down Taye's face.

KEN: After I left Remi's mum for yours...I thought creating some distance between my old life and my new life was for the best.
REMI: Best for who? For you, maybe.
TAYE: I know Mum was always jealous of your family.
REMI: So you placated *her*, of course.
KEN: She's my wife.
REMI: And I am your daughter!

She rises to her feet.

REMI: After the divorce, it honestly felt like I didn't exist anymore.
KEN: I tried to be there!
REMI: Well, you did not try very hard!
KEN: It seemed like you preferred your stepfather. You took his name!
REMI: And do you blame me? Still, I should have been allowed to get to know my brother.

Taye is silent.

KEN: I know. I'm sorry.

Remi walks the few steps to the kitchen, emotionally.

Taye joins her in the kitchen, where she is crying at the counter.

REMI: Well, this explains a lot.
TAYE: Yep.
REMI: I'm so sorry I didn't stay at your 18th longer, I absolutely would have if I had known you wanted me there.

Taye is still taking things in.

TAYE: I'm sorry I didn't tell you how I felt.

They hug, both emotional.

TAYE: So, what now?

Hospital
Jane, Holly and Max have arrived at the hospital - they've been informed that Aaron's drink was definitely spiked. Aaron is very upset and can't understand why someone would target him. He's since remembered being on Power Road and walking past the School.

JANE: You know, Clint said he saw a man who was being disorderly, almost abusive, last night.
AARON: Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed.
NICOLETTE: Hey, no, someone did this to you. You've got nothing to feel embarrassed about.

Outside, Max tells Holly that he thinks it was his whisky that was spiked.

Remi, Cara, JJ and Dex arrive home - they've been having a quick family meeting about Taye's future. They are all happy for Taye to stay on permanently, with some conditions.

REMI: We start fresh - no parties. We leave the past behind and focus on the future. What do you think?
TAYE: I'm in.
REMI:(to Ken) And we should also talk about what *you* did.
KEN: I understand.
CARA: Ken, do you have to get back to Apollo Bay straight away?
KEN: Er...no...
REMI: Would you like to stay for a few hours and spend some time with the boys?
KEN: I'd like that very much.

JJ and Dex are delighted to see their grandfather and sit down with him to chat.

No.32
Max is explaining to Andrew about Kasey's visit and that he thinks the Carter family might be behind the drink spiking (he's told him the whole story)

MAX: Are you going to dob me in?
ANDREW: I don't know, yet. But if you're wrong...me contacting Brisbane could be the thing that tips off Carter's family.
MAX: So we wait and see?
ANDREW: Well, I'll make sure there are regular patrols around your work and home. We'll keep an eye on you. For the time being, it's all we can do. But don't you *ever* play vigilante again, do you understand me?
MAX: Yeah.

Waterhole
Remi has popped out with Cara while the boys are talking to their grandfather. She needs time to get over what Ken did.

REMI: I don't want to respond to him cutting me out of Taye's life by cutting him out of the boys lives.

Cara goes to get some drinks and sees Nicolette at the bar.

CARA: So, I remembered after we spoke that my cousin Maddy is a midwife, and her and Chelsea were really close when they were kids.
NICOLETTE: You think she helped deliver the baby?
CARA: I think it's worth paying her a visit.
NICOLETTE: I'm free later on this afternoon if you are?
CARA: Sounds good.

Lassiter's Reception
Holly excitedly asks Krista if she's made a decision about the piano bar job yet, but before she can answer, Taye comes up looking pleased with himself and greets Krista as "boss"

HOLLY: Is he going to be working here too?!
KRISTA: I'm sorry, Holly. You were a strong candidate, but Taye's the one who got the job.

Holly looks crushed and confused.
