Harold's Café
Nicolette wants to know the reason behind Leo's request. Leo tells her she doesn't know everything about Seb. Nicolette took Seb on as a favour for Krista. Seb hasn't done a great job but Nicolette has made allowances due to Seb's injuries.

LEO: The next time he stuffs up, sack him.

Leo thinks it's ok as Seb is still on trial. He wants Nicolette to explain it to Krista. Nicolette realises how concerned Leo is.

LEO: I need her to see who he really is.

Leo will keep Nicolette's secret about Yaz in exchange. He realises how much Yaz meant to Nicolette. Nicolette was considering a future with Yaz. Leo wants to make sure things will be ok with Krista, Nicolette agrees.

Krista's Apartment
Seb is watching the telly as Krista is asleep. Seb looks at Krista and strokes her hair.

No.30
Sadie didn't realise that Andrew planned to move in for the time being with JJ and Dex. Andrew will stay until Cara and Remi return. He knows they're old enough to stay by themselves but thought it would be better with everything going on. Andrew appreciates the company as there's no one else at No.28. Andrew hears a bump but Sadie didn't hear anything. Sadie teases him about it but Andrew is serious.

No.24
It's now the next day. Jane is looking at the calendar. She realises that school is back soon.

NICOLETTE: Someone will be wearing their uniform.
ISLA: I will get to see Abby every day.

Jane is sad as she realises the anniversary of David's death is coming up and they all are lost in thought. Aaron arrives and reminds Isla to brush her teeth. He notices the mood and the anniversary dawns on him.

JANE: Anniversaries have a way of creeping up on us.

Aaron is now questioning deciding to spend time with Rhett. Paul had previously suggested they remember David when the anniversary happens, Aaron agrees.

Rhett arrives, he also notices the mood, Aaron says he is ok. They head out for coffee.

Harold's Café
Nicolette gives Seb a gentle reminder to serve the waiting customer but he's watching cat videos. He notices the customer and serves them.

Sadie reminds Holly they're discharging Max as he's ready to go home. Holly feels responsible for the incident. She asks Nicolette if Yaz has been in touch but she hasn't. With the US Police there is quite a lot of red tape.

HOLLY: I need to reclaim my life starting with getting my job back.
SADIE: You belong at that hotel.

Gino arrives and asks how they are after the event. Holly is looking forward and explains Gino was present when the photos of Yaz and Heath were on the screen. Sadie asks how it's going being an Eirini Rising resident.

GINO: It's a lot of fun. If it's not we make our own.

He wouldn't live there if it wasn't fun. Sadie looks thoughtful as Holly looks confused.

Outside Harold's Cafe
Seb is laughing at something on his phone as across the Complex Leo and Nicolette are exchanging looks. Nicolette comes over, Seb explains he's feeling tender.

NICOLETTE: I'm going to have to let you go.

Seb is stunned, Nicolette explains he's not putting effort into the job. He's slacking off and watching cat videos. Seb points out he's had an injury but she gently tells him she's made her decision. She tells him to head off and she'll pay him for the rest of the shift. Leo comes and thanks her as Seb heads off. Nicolette is ok about this as Seb wasn't very enthusiastic about the job. Leo suggests Nicolette talks to Krista before Seb does so.

Outside The Waterhole
Rhett is talking about real estate. Aaron is commenting but seems distracted. Rhett has noticed this and Aaron apologises. He explains the anniversary of David's death is coming up. Rhett is understanding.

AARON: I knew it was approaching. I was trying not to think about it.

Rhett offers to give him time to himself but Aaron thinks it's good to chat about this. They agree they both want to meet up again. Aaron apologises for not being in the right headspace today. Rhett suggests kayaking another time and Aaron agrees. Rhett gives him a peck on the lips as he heads off.

RHETT: No pressure. You know you can talk to me about anything.

Aaron appreciates that.

No.32 Backyard
Sadie thinks her idea is genius and expects Byron to agree. Byron doesn't think the idea will help sell the Eirini idea to Vera.

Vera arrives and Sadie offers her a free haircut. Vera is suspicious there's a catch. Sadie tells her that she's talked to Gino. Vera thinks Gino is a legend.

VERA: He worked with Lillian Frank.
BYRON: Who's Lillian Frank?
VERA: Look her up.

When Vera could afford a haircut from Gino he did an amazing job. He's offering Vera a haircut as he's missing his haircutting days.

SADIE: How would you like a blow wave without blowing the bank?

Vera agrees. Sadie will contact Gino as Vera plans her outfit!

Outside Harold's Cafe
Krista is surprised that Nicolette has let Seb go. Nicolette explains that Seb wasn't making much of an effort. Even with his injuries he still had an attitude.

KRISTA: I was hoping he wouldn't do that.

Krista will sort things out with Seb. Nicolette thinks it's too much of a conflict of interest. It's too much to keep Seb on when he's not making an effort. She doesn't want the rest of the casuals following suit. Leo offers to talk to Krista and let Nicolette get on.

Krista has to admit she isn't surprised Seb did this

KRISTA: Maybe his best looks a little different to everyone else's.

Leo points out Krista did her best to help Seb. Krista wishes Nicolette hadn't pointed out the conflict of interest. Leo shrugs it off.

Holly arrives and lists how she is a good worker at the hotel. Krista realises Holly wants her job back but the position has been filled.

Gino is doing Vera's hair and telling him about past parties.

GINO: I once walked in on Susan Renouf on the toot.
VERA: It's her fault for not locking the door.

Gino yearns for being busy all the time as he used to be. He manages to keep busy at Eirini Rising. He finishes and she seems happy. He is sure she'll find a fella now! Vera is all coy. She wants to know why he's in an Old Folks' Home.

GINO: Eirini Rising isn't for oldies.

The residents are around Vera and Gino's age which surprises Vera.

GINO: More gossip and scandal than an 80s soap opera.

Vera wants to hear more! Byron tells Sadie her idea is great.

No.24
The camera zooms out on a picture of Aaron. Aaron admits to Jane that Rhett is a perfect kind and funny man. They have the same interests. Jane agrees he sounds like a great match for Aaron.

AARON: All I could think about was David. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Rhett was understanding about it. Jane tells him that feelings are coming flooding back for all of them at the time of the anniversary.

JANE: You deserve to find happiness again.
AARON: I'm just not ready. Not yet.
JANE: I understand. Perfect people don't come along very often.

Jane knows that David would hate for Aaron to be just sitting there and feeling sad about it.

The Waterhole
Krista tells Seb that his attitude to the job wasn't great. Seb doesn't think Nicolette is a great Manager. Seb brushes it off as just a job in a Café. Seb thinks he did his bit and doesn't understand why she was annoyed. Leo thinks he should seriously consider what to do next in his life. He suggests Seb returns to Uni and Krista agrees.

SEB: What Uni would take me?

Leo points out the prestige of his school in Sydney could help him get into a Uni in Sydney plus having a scholarship. Seb will consider it. He and Leo give each other a meaningful look.

No.30
Jane thanks Andrew for helping him bring some boxes into No.30. He doesn't remember so many supplies from his schooldays but remembers the cost of Sadie's school supplies! She wants JJ and Dex set up for school tomorrow. JJ is starting his final school year. She takes Andrew up on the offer of a cup of tea. She offers to help him with groceries but he's got it covered. He's got food supplies and got the basics from No.26. He is surprised to find there isn't much milk when he left it full. He might have confused the milk bottles but isn't convinced. We see a guy peering in through the window.

Lassiter's Lake
Leo comes over from Harold's Café to sit with Nicolette. He thanks her for helping him out.

NICOLETTE: We both did what we had to do.

He realises she's got her mind on Yaz. She doesn't know why she invested so much into the relationship. Nicolette couldn't guarantee Yaz would be able to stay in Australia.

LEO: You're allowed to hope.

Leo won't tell anyone what Nicolette told him. Nicolette doesn't feel much better about keeping it a secret. Leo feels the same.

LEO: I hate going behind Krista's back again.
NICOLETTE: The things we do for love.

Their wedding is coming up and Seb is getting in the way of that. Nicolette wonders what David would think of them both now. She gently reminds him about the anniversary and puts a comforting hand on his shoulder.

No.32
Vera and Gino arrange to have a coffee together tomorrow as he heads off.

VERA: This is a day I'll remember for the rest of my life.

Sadie tentatively mentions Eirini Rising. Vera was impressed from Gino's comments. Byron points out there's a pool and space outside.

VERA: I'll probably have to keep my kit on.

Byron reminds her there's a lot of activity going on. Byron suggests she finds a new husband there! If Byron were able to he would go and live there! Sadie gives Byron a warning look as Vera wises up to their game.

VERA: You're still trying to put me out to pasture.

Sadie denies this and thinks it would be a great move for Vera. She isn't happy with them meddling!

Lassiter's Lake

NICOLETTE: It's crazy how time flies.

They've been living their life and it just hit her. He tells her he's ok but she realises he's not fine.

LEO: His anniversary should have been on my mind, and it wasn't.

Nicolette reminds him he's been dealing with other things.

LEO: He's my twin brother.
NICOLETTE: You don't talk about him much.
LEO: Things remind me of him all the time.

She asks him if he embraces the reminders or pushes them away. She understands if he does either of these things.

LEO: It's hard.
NICOLETTE: Grief's complicated and different for everyone.
LEO: What would David make of us now?

They both agree David would want them both to be honest with everyone else. Nicolette really misses him. We see that Seb is watching them for a distance.

No.32
The young guy from earlier lets himself in the back door. He looks in the kitchen cupboards and is impressed with the snacks he finds. He hears Andrew coming in through the front door with the milk and goes out the back door again. Holly follows Andrew and wants to know if he's heard anything about Yaz. Andrew hasn't heard anything but will update Holly first if he gets any updates. Holly glumly accepts this and Andrew realises she's finding it difficult. She's trying to look on the bright side but things don't seem to ever work out for her. She could have more control over things if Yaz is caught. She doesn't mean to ramble but he doesn't mind. She continues talking as the young guy listens from outside.

No.24
Aaron opens the door to find Rhett outside, Aaron invites him in. Aaron apologises for interrupting Rhett's work but he brushes it off. He realises this is important to Aaron. Aaron admits he doesn't think they should continue to see each other. Rhett looks disappointed and reminds Aaron he promised to give him the space he needs.

AARON: I thought I was ready to be with someone again. I'm just not.

Aaron doesn't want to continue messing Rhett around. Aaron thinks Rhett deserves more than that. They are both sorry about it.

No.30
Holly tells Andrew that she finds it easier to talk to Andrew than Karl. Andrew points out they are a different demographic!

HOLLY: Are you calling him old? Never do that in his radius.

They both chuckle about this. Holly appreciates having a listening ear. He opens the front door for her to head off. It has helped her and she hopes she'll be ok when she leaves No.30. Andrew doesn't think she'll be down for long, she agrees.

Andrew hears a rattling noise outside. He sees an open kitchen cupboard as he picks up a cricket bat. As the guy waits outside Andrew goes to open the door.
