Number 28 garden
Holly has sought refuge outside when Yaz comes to see her. She goes though the 'are you okay' routine and hears Holly describe how she heard Heath's voice in the house repeating the same thing continuously and it made her feel like she was back in the outback with him. Yaz reassures Holly she isn't in the outback, and is safe with her here and to calm Holly further down, she plans on going inside to make them both drinks so they can then talk more.
Penthouse suite
Terese doesn't look too enthralled to hear that Mayor Brown is visiting them tomorrow to hear about the plans for Power Road - Paul feels that if they bring her in from the off, it will help deal with any objections she has.
Number 28 garden
Yaz suggests that Holly hearing Heath's voice is a sign that "something's unresolved" and subtly asks Holly if there's "any part of you that feels guilty?" Holly is unsure what Yaz is getting at, so she expands on the question by asking if [Holly and Heath] fought, did she get angry. "It was really romantic at first," Holly begins with when he spoke about them going overseas but then he started "acting really strangely." Yaz, aided by filling Holly's glass to the brim with alcohol, is almost putting words into Holly's mouth, making her question herself especially as Yaz gets into the conversation Holly's past with Eden and Dr Bowman.
YAZ: It's okay if you wanted him dead Holly after everything you went through. It is a natural, normal human response. Did you want him dead?!
While Holly does reply "I wanted him dead" it is more she is questioning Yaz's suggestion that she wanted Heath dead rather than actually admitting that she did want him dead. However, the recording of the conversation Yaz is covertly doing would not be able to distinguish that!
Harolds café (next day)
Having one piercing done, Sadie is keen to get another although Byron questions why she needs another. However, while Paul may have paid for Sadie to do the body pricing course, that doesn't extend to allowing her to display her own piercings and citing its against uniform policy (as well as the hotel being prestigious and not a backpackers hostel), he orders Sadie to remove the nose ring.
The Waterhole (beer garden)
Paul explains to Mayor Brown his vision for Power Road and to get her onboard, explains the council won't need to invest any money, the meeting is merely to get her advice on the plan.
Terese excuses herself to get some water for everyone and runs into Jane who comments on Terese not looking too happy. We hear why Terese is unhappy - the talk about Power Road is reminding her of their divorce.
TERESE: I just want to enjoy us getting back together with no complications. Is that too much to ask for?
"No," is Jane's reply before asking Terese if she's talking about this with Paul and Terese doesn't reply to that question, instead apologising for downloading before she returns to the table.
Lassiters hotel (Yaz's room)
Yaz is listening repeatedly to Holly's 'admission' of wanting Heath dead when hungover Holly appears. "How are you feeling?" Yaz innocently asks and Holly's reply is "a little bit embarrassed" before going onto say that she doesn't fully remember what they chatted about the previous night. Holly then tells her about the lawyer Heath's family have engaged to look into what happened although it does seem to have gone quiet after Tess and Krista spoke about it.
HOLLY: I just want this nightmare to be over.
Holly does feel empowered for working today and tells Yaz to keep her phone on as she might have some good news later on.
Number 32
Sadie seems to be wanting to ignore Paul's edict when Byron tries to talk to her about it. She then twigs that he hates it and doesn't look too impressed!
The Waterhole
Over brunch, Nicolette discusses with Yaz the fact she might extend her stay in Australia. Nicolette is keen to introduce Yaz to her whole family, by suggesting a trip to Gippsland to see Vic and a family dinner tonight to introduce her to Isla.
The Waterhole (beer garden)
Terese is trying to get Paul to stall the Power Road project but he's determined to move forward with the plans and wants another meeting with the council scheduled in for next week.
While Paul goes off to get drinks for everyone, Helen is very complimentary about this 'new Paul' and wonders if that is down to Terese's influence? The reply back confuses the Mayor though - Terese suggests that Paul has something up his sleeve and this meeting is so the council can be 'warmed up' first before he pulls the rabbit out of the hat.
When Paul returns with the non- alcoholic bubbles, thanks to what Terese said in his absence, Helen can't get away quickly enough and stalls about arranging the meeting for next week.
Police HQ
Yaz left her date with Nicolette to go and see the police now she has her 'evidence' that Holly killed Heath. After she plays the recording, she demands Supt. Hayes investigates Holly. In turn, he reminds Yaz it is illegal to record a private conversation without the other persons consent and doesn't think the recording is validated anyway given Holly is inebriated and Yaz asked leading questions!
YAZ: So you're not going to do anything?!
Hayes reiterated to her that the evidence shows Holly was acting in self- defence. Yaz very much disputes that, as the evidence came via Holly's "very close friends" and Yaz is frustrated too that she isn't being allowed to read these! The pair dispute how much Queensland police investigated what happened and after getting nowhere, Yaz demands to talk to someone in a higher authority!
HAYES: If you continue to pursue Holly Hoyland, you'll find out just how competent I can be! The Surveillance Devices Act carries some steep fines… jail time too! So, I advise you to drop it.
The Waterhole
Paul is at a loss over the change in attitude from the Mayor when he and Terese enter the bar but their attention is drawn to another patron in the bar - G Flip! Their fawning helps Holly keep G Flip in the bar since Yaz is running late.
Holly spots Yaz entering the bar and rushes up to find out where she was/why she wasn't answering messages so she could introduce her to G Flip. "Am I supposed to know who that is?!" Yaz asks on behalf of a huge chunk of people watching todays Neighbours episode!!
Number 32
While Andrew and Sadie work together to do some minor repairs, Byron is being sent to Coventry over the fact he agrees with Paul in that Sadie should remove her nose ring. Andrew thinks Paul is wrong and has double standards too given he's said nothing to Cara! To back his daughter up, Andrew got Wendy to do some investigation and apparently there is nothing in the Lassiters uniform policy about piercings, and so urges his daughter to stand her ground!
A frustrated Byron reassures Sadie that he too does have her back and will be behind her if she wants to take legal action against Paul.
The Waterhole
After telling Yaz who G Flip is, Holly takes her over to the table and does the formal introductions. G Flip seems very taken with Yaz (which isn't too far from reality, given in real life the pair are married!) and wants from her, not Holly, what the vision is for the event and how she fits into it. Yaz though can't talk and goes to leave but Holly manages to get her to wait before she just does that, to point out they might lose G Flip if she doesn't talk to her, but Yaz doesn't even respond to her before exiting the bar.
Paul though is at least talking to her… by trying to see if she will do a set in the Piano Bar!
Lassiters hotel (Piano Bar)
Sadie (and Byron) catch Paul (and Terese) walking through the bar and she confronts him about the fact the unform policy doesn't have anything in it regarding piercings. With that, she isn't removing hers and thinks its good publicity too for the service they are offering. Paul though isn't budging but backs down after badgering from Terese and Byron with the proviso that if one customer complains the uniform policy will be amended!
Lassiters hotel (Yaz's room)
Rather than going with Nicolette to the family dinner, Yaz is instead heading to "a little town" in Queensland to investigate there as a possible location for Lights Up. Nicolette looks rather peeved especially when Yaz isn't sure how long she will be in Queensland for.
Number 24 (next day)
As they have breakfast, Nicolette is moaning to Aaron over Yaz taking off to Queensland but not saying exactly where. Aaron asks Nicolette what Yaz has said about her bother and she describes it as "a really bad situation." Next he asks what the brother's name is and the reply back is that Yaz hasn't actually mentioned that because its too hard for her to talk about and he's confident when Yaz is ready, she will tell all.
Queensland
As the pair talked, we see that Yaz has gone Warrawee Station. First she was at the silo where Holly ended up, then at the river where Heath met his death.
Penthouse suite
Terese is surprised to see Paul up but he's just finished a call and isn't happy. He was calling the Mayor (who is an early bird) and during their call, Helen revealed that [apparently] Paul had more things in store for Power Road than he said during their meeting.
PAUL: What's going on Terese? I mean, why would you go behind my back like that?!
Coming up on Neighbours
- Terese letting off steam [about Paul] to Jane.
- Aaron chatting to Nicolette about Yaz/her brother.
- Light Up festival beginning.
- Nicolette desperately trying to get hold of Yaz.
