Byron rushes over to check on how everyone is after the hit and run - Sadie and Max are conscious but in pain however Seb is unconscious, and he urgently calls for an ambulance.

Aaron is surprised to see Rhett in the bar when he takes drinks over to the table he is at, and they briefly catch up before Aaron returns to his duties behind the bar.

Number 28
Holly is still hyperventilating when Yaz arrives to deliver her Christmas pressie. She acts very sympathetically towards her employee and looks very pleased with herself when she spots that the delivered perfume lying on the sofa.

The Waterhole
Aaron spots Rhett coming back into the bar and checks he is okay - he's in a dilemma about a gift being re- gifted but really, it's a rouse for the pair to chat! Rhett suggests they have a proper catch up, but Aaron cites that he's busy working to do that - although the looks both give would suggest that they do want to catch up with each other!

Penthouse suite
Krista finishes calling Melanie to tell her about Leo proposing and sister Reece is happy too after spotting the news on social media.

Given how 'loved up' Terese and Paul are, the Christmas Day celebrations come to an end when the guests (Jane, Krista and Leo) decide to leave them to it rather than watch on any longer!

Lassiters hotel foyer
The trio are just about to exit the hotel when Jane receives the news about the Power Road accident and relays the information to Krista/Leo before all 3 hurriedly head to the hospital.

Number 28
Yaz very much plays the part as Holly talks to her about tyring to improve her mental health but then feels she is being "hit from all sides" which then makes it impossible to "leave this behind." To 'help' Holly, Yaz asks that she tells her about Heath.

Holly describes him as "a total player" and saw it as a challenge the fact he was in a relationship with Tess too, as she was having fun. However, it all went wrong and Yaz thinks unloading [to her] will make Holly feel better!

Hospital
Sadie and Max are being treated by Dr Hart and she confirms that thanks to Max, Sadie's injuries "weren't much worse." Max has no broken bones but is being kept in for observation.

We hear that Seb has a clavicular fracture aka a broken collar bone and the driver is being treated for a head injury before he's got a date with the police!

Number 28
Holly continues telling Yaz about Heath - she liked the fancy car he drove and the money which meant great times/expensive pressies. Yaz brings up the outback and Holly explains that he invited her and initially everything was great but then something changed. At this point, Holly clams up and despite Yaz trying to use her charm to get Holly to "let it all out" the lass would rather talk to her therapist, and so refuses to say anything more.

Hospital
Leo, Krista and Jane arrive to see the wounded and hear that Andrew is cutting his trip short to return to investigate what happened. Max cancels a call from his dad and lies to Jane that they've been in contact after she explained about informing Shane about what happened. Krista asks if what happened was a genuine accident or not and Byron thinks no, it was "definitely deliberate" given the conditions. Leo and Krista quietly debate whether it was linked to Seb or not but neither are certain if it is or not.

Jane enquires when the patients will be released, and Sadie replies that she is just waiting on her paperwork to arrive, but Max requires to be kept in overnight. So, with that news, Jane heads off to get some takeaway and Krista (and Leo) leave too, to see if Seb can get any visitors.

With the visitors out of the room, both Sadie and Byron take the opportunity to sincerely thank Max for what he did and also want to reconsider the housemate situation, offering to go with a clean slate which Max is willing to go for too.

Terese is thrilled with the pressie Paul gives her - the heart- shaped crystal he nicked from the cottage they stayed in, as a reminder that should she be doubting them, she just has to look at it. Paul is after reassurance too that he didn't rush things with the announcement he made at lunch and her reply is no… but then Terese confuses Paul when she states that she doesn't need him! Turns out she was talking about Eirini Rising - she wants to make it a national franchise (well developing one near Piper so its handy for visiting the grandkids!) and to create a foundation too for fellow businesswomen who have battled addiction. Paul seems thrilled at her plans but more at the confirmation that she wants him in her life too.

TERESE: I really want to be with you, full stop!
PAUL: That's all I ever wanted too.

Meanwhile at the bar, Jane collects the takeaway order and observers Aaron looks a bit down. He tells her about Rhett inviting him out on a date and her advice is that if Aaron feels ready, he should go on the date and see how it goes, it isn't a commitment, just a bit of fun!

Hospital
Dr Hart reluctantly gives Krista (and Leo) an update on Seb after she convinces the doctor she's the closest thing he has to family. The doctor also slips in that Seb was deliberately targeted after the police found his photo on the driver's phone. That news comes as a shock to the pair as they move to stand look at Seb through the window.

KRISTA: I thought he was crying wolf, and he was in actual danger.

She is at loss as to why he was targeted after she transferred the money to Seb… but on checking her online banking, it appears Seb transferred the money back into her account! Leo now puts 2+2 together into his role by telling the random guy where to find Seb.

KRISTA: What if he died Leo?

Penthouse suite
After taking the lift to the penthouse, Paul and Terese forgo food in favour of romance!

Number 32
Byron and Sadie are very grateful for Holly's arrival as it means they can escape Jane being in full mother mode! However, when Holly joins Sadie on the sofa, she can tell something is up and despite what she has been through, demands that Holly spills what is up.

Sadie is shocked when Holly tells her about the gift although Holly doesn't realise it was actually sent by Yaz, she thinks it is something Heath organised ages ago.

The Waterhole
Yaz re- watches the video Heath made saying that he is in the outback with Holly who has gone absolutely crazy and is worried about his safety.

When Aaron spots Rhett re- entering the bar, he walks towards him and after apologising for how he was earlier, invites him out. Rhett initially doesn't realise Aaron is meaning going on a date but after a wee bit or awkwardness they agree to go on a date.

Back with Yaz and she debates whether to text Nicolette or not.

Hospital
Krista seems very relieved when Seb wakes up, but he's confused over why he is there. Leo fills him in on that before Krista reassures Seb that the driver is under police guard. She then apologises for underestimating the danger that he was in, and in turn, he explains that taking the money was the wrong choice, hence returning it. On seeing the rock on her finger, Seb is happy to hear about her engagement.

Penthouse suite
As they return to the penthouse, Leo is fully behind however Krista plans on supporting Seb especially as she feels he needs "someone in his corner." However, the pair might have wished to have stayed out given they see Terese sneaking out of Paul's bedroom wearing only his shirt (as she goes to the fridge for some water) and Paul coming after her declaring he is "Captain Love!"

LEO: Yeah, we might wanna make a lot of noise when we get home from now on!

Hospital
When the police guard goes off to take a call on his mobile phone, Max sneaks out of his room to go look at the driver who drove the car through the corridor window and then calling his dad to reassure Shane that the driver isn't who they think it is.
