The Waterhole (beer garden)
After being reassured that the phone Yaz has given him isn't dodgy, Jeffrey takes it away to see what is on it for her.
After having a successful first date, Nicolette is keen on instigating a second one with Yaz… well that is until she runs into Aaron and is now having second thoughts over how great the date was given there was no intimacy when they parted.

Paul is a bit bemused why the party now resembles a wake when he finally arrives. Terese explains to him about the council pulling the lease and Nell laments how it will be "the end of everything we've built for mum." Paul is very sympathetic to the news but Toadie is ready for a fight to try and fix things.
Ramsay Street
Remi isn't too amused to hear that Cara wants to head to Lassiters to talk about the Lights Up event when she is supposed to be on sick leave. Her attitude doesn't go down well with Cara and she tries to reassure Remi about knowing her imitations before she then has a right go at Remi for not listening to her.
Number 22
Toadie comes off the phone from talking to the council to be told there is no negotiating as they've already got a replacement lined up who is willing to pay the full amount. Terese is upset but more for Nell than Toadie.
Lassiters Complex
As they walk through the complex, Cara runs through the options with Yaz over the Light Up event. When Cara leaves, Holly comes out of the shadows, apologising for not being able to join them as she is unsure of "how to make the apology big enough." Yaz is sure Holly doesn't have "anything to feel guilty over" which seems to cheer Holly up given the smile she then has on her face!
The pair then head towards Harolds for something to eat… that is until Yaz spots Nicolette and suddenly remembers an important call she has to make!

Nell is frustrated at what she thinks is letting her mum down by only getting involved with the Foundation now when its on the verge of being closed down unless they can find somewhere else with dirt cheap rent. JJ tries to reassure Nell that her mum was loved by those currently involved with the Foundation.
The pair then snuggle up on the couch and Nell feels that the only good thing about today is the necklace JJ gave her. Just as the pair are starting to pash, Cara walks into the house and thinks more was happening than just plain old pashing! She is really laying into JJ about breaking the trust he's been given, especially following on from the chat about consent. Remi arrives home just as JJ is defending himself and explains [to her] about Cara "freaking out about literally nothing" while they were tyring to find a new home for the Foundation.
Nell decides she's had enough and walks out of the house and sarcastically, JJ thanks his mum for "helping make Nell's birthday special!"
Harolds café
Nicolette chats over with Aaron what has gone wrong that Yaz seems to be avoiding her. She is already having flashbacks to Amira and how she ended up landing on her face for falling "too hard, too fast." Arron has a right go at her for her attitude and reminds Nicolette she has to give herself a chance of happiness.
NICOLETTE: I don't want to humiliate myself any more than I already have!
AARON: Nic, you just sat down with that woman and told her all the stories of your past relationships. Did she run into the bathroom and escape through that little window? No! I think that means it's worth another shot.

Cara is trying to justify her actions with JJ/Nell to Remi as she thinks something was escalating between them although Remi does remind her that "they're teenagers." This goes down like a lead balloon and the pair start to get into a barney until Remi bluntly tells Cara that she needs to talk as she's "really hard to be around."
REMI: You're snapping, you're biting, you're not listening.
Cara interprets that nonchalantly as her being simply "a little bit grumpy," which Remi immediately scoffs at and says, "it's more than that!" She then accuses Cara of holding in her feelings which is making things "toxic."
REMI: I'm not trying to hurt you any more than you are already hurting, but you need to hear this. The boys are walking on eggshells! We are your family, but it's starring to feel like we're your punching bag.
Tearfully, Cara replies that she is sorry, and the pair then hug one another.
Lassiters hotel (Yaz's room)
Nicolette arrives with cookies and an apology over going on about her ex's as way of seeing if she can get another date! However, Yaz looks utterly bemused when instead of waiting to see what the reply is, Nicolette does a runner!
The Waterhole
Jane, Susan, Terese, Toadie and Nell have relocated the 'Save the Foundation' discussions to the pub but it's not looking good… that is until Paul offers them a lifeline by suggesting they use what was the offices of Rebecchi Law at a very cheap rate, even adding that if they need additional storage, it can be held within the hotel.
Everyone is stunned at this news and after Jane asks if he's happy losing money on this, Paul explains with total honesty, yes! Nell rushes out of her seat to hug Paul, saying he's "the best" and Terese whispers 'thank you' to him.

Over a deep and meaningful, Cara admits she didn't realise how much she wanted another child and now she can't, it is killing her to know she will "never carry a baby again." She acknowledges to being "a mess" and for then taking that out on Remi/the boys.
CARA: I'll be better. I'll keep talking.
REMI: Thank you.
CARA: And I'll keep reminding myself things could be way worse. My head's been in such a muddle, I haven't been thinking… I might not be able to carry a baby, but at least you still can.
From the look Remi gives, that won't be happening any time soon!!
The Waterhole
While in the background, Paul and Toadie talk logistics, Terese is quizzed by Jane/Susan over what happened today [with Toadie]. Terese hopes that they can get back to the friend/neighbour relationship they had previously after how well they worked together today. Paul, and him being a hero is next brought up however before we hear Terese's thoughts the ladies keep getting interrupted including by Paul when he comes over to say bye.
Before Paul leaves, Terese praises him for making Nell "the happiest person in the world" which he accepts with a smile before exiting the bar. The ladies are ready for the juicy gossip now but are left disappointed when Terese heads to the bar to settle the bill.

Aaron drops by to see how Cara is going (he misses seeing her daily) and empathises over how frustrating it is being a doctor's spouse when you are recuperating, which thankfully Remi (who's in the kitchen preparing dinner) takes it in jest!
Cara admits life isn't great and tells him about the meltdown she had. She also tells him about the hysterectomy and Aaron can relate to having letting go of the parenthood dream - this is why Cara feels she can talk to him. Cara then in a roundabout way says that the dream isn't over, Remi can carry that on, but in the kitchen Remi's face again says that isn't what she wants!
The Waterhole (veranda)
Jeffrey tells Yaz about what he was able to recover from the phone but then questions who owner of the phone is given what he found seemed to belong to someone called Heath… obviously not her! Yaz explains that Heath was her brother and the phone was given to her by the police after his death. Satisfied at the explanation, Jeffrey hands back the phone and reaffirms client confidentiality ahead of being handed an envelope full of cash!
After Jeffrey leaves, Yaz plays a video that he recovered - one of the last things done on the phone. The video was intended for Yaz (it didn't make getting uploaded to the cloud) and we hear Heath tell her that he is in the outback with Holly who has "gone absolutely crazy" and has "no idea what she's capable of" and thus is worried for his safety.
HEALTH: Look, I can't explain everything now but… I know we haven't seen eye to eye since the fight, but I'm sorry… for everything. I love you Yazi.

Susan and Jane are so desperate for the goss that they have followed Terese home to #22 and are helping clean up the party mess! However, fate intervenes again by the way of someone knocking on the door!!!
JANE: It's like the gods are against us!
The caller is Paul - he went looking for Toadie (lease contract) but got no answer at #28, so is after Susan to pass it on for him. Before he leaves, Terese again sincerely thanks him for stepping in to save the Foundation. "I did it for Nell," Paul replies back and he's about to say who he also did it for when she interrupts by telling him she "won't ever forget it."
You could cut the UST between the pair right now but just as Paul turns to exit the house, Susan's mobile starts ringing. She doesn't recognise the number but on answering, its Angela (Mike's business partner/girlfriend) who is calling to tell Susan about a bike accident. Unfortunately, the line is not very good, so Susan hears only half a story and so doesn't know if its Karl or Mike who is in hospital!

Cara apologises to JJ for not listening to him earlier and she will apologise to Nell too the next time she sees her. She tries to explain to him why she acted as such before promising "no more going off" The lad takes it all in his stride before asking his mum if she's okay, to which Cara replies she is now and adds in that she will apologies to Dex too when he gets in from work.
JJ: Look, you can go off on me all you want. Just promise me one thing.
CARA: Hmm?
JJ: Don't ever nearly die again… please!
That raises a smile from his mum and she promises not to as the lad heads off to his room.
Remi joins Cara at the dining room table and agrees that JJ is a good boy having of course overheard their entire conversation from the kitchen area.
Cara shows Remi what she's been looking at on her laptop - fertility clinics, keen to keep thinking positively even if they don't know the state of Remi's fertility. When Cara starts to look at things online, Remi closes the laptop and tells Cara her true feelings.
REMI: I know you've invested into the idea of me carrying a child because it means the dream isn't dead. But we never talked about it.
CARA: We're talking about it now.
REMI: It was your dream to have another baby, and I was really excited but I never imagined it would go like this.
CARA: What exactly are you saying?
REMI: I don't want to be pregnant again.
Coming up on Neighbours
