Hospital (exterior)
"What the hell were you thinking?!" David asks Aaron, which sets the pair off squabbling over David talking to Dean, finishing with Aaron suggesting that Dean is into him. "He was being a friend," David tries to explain but all it does is set the pair off squabbling again until Chloe intervenes... or tries to, but the pair ignore her and continue squabbling.

What does stop them though is Freya coming talk to David about Dean. That is another red rag to Aaron, the fact David isn't going to stay and talk about what happened. David's terse reply is that he needs to go check on Dean and "try to fix the mess you made!"

Chloe suggests to Aaron that they head back to #24, which he agrees to... and dumps the flowers bought for David in the bin!

The Waterhole
Roxy assumes the extra iced coffee Ned has ordered is for Amy but it is actually for Harlow (they are heading to beach). Kyle is confused over why she assumed the coffee was for Amy and her response is she thinks Ned is still into her "and going back to fix things is so very man." Ned realises Amy needs to spend her time with Zara and refuses to comment on whether he is still keen on Amy or not!

Chat then turns to Levi and how his big case is going. He reveals it's almost finished and with Sgt. Rodwell somewhat occupied with his daughter just now, it will allow him to get back to looking for Gareth.

"He still has a thing for her!" Ned remarks after Levi heads back to work. "Obviously Ned!" Kyle and Roxy simultaneously say back to him!

Hospital
As Paul packs ahead of being discharged, David is telling him (along with Leo and Glen) about what happened outside with Aaron and Dean. David admits he is unsure where Aaron's jealousy is coming from, especially since he's never given him any reason not to be trusted.

Number 24
Chloe and Freya are chatting about her family woes when Levi pops by to tell Freya that he's pulling a few favours to ask about Tina, to see how she got Gareth's phone. Apparently Tina lives in Sandy Point so he's asked the local station to keep an eye out for her and should something come up, they can head there. The thought of being with Levi is freaking Freya out, so she subtly suggests he can go alone. Levi interrupts this as her being uninterested, which she isn't, so she clarifies that she is, but feels that chasing up leads is more for him.

Chloe has picked up on the tension and quizzes Freya about it after Levi leaves. Initially it looks like she isn't getting anywhere, but after they relocated to the sunroom... well more Freya trying to escape but Chloe following her out, Freya opens up.

Freya tells Chloe about the 'zing' they had last week [at the market] and adds in about being confused, given she loves Gareth, thus is trying to stay away from Levi so it doesn't happen again. Chloe wonders if Freya is overthinking it, especially since it sounded a "one moment of chemical attraction" where "zing's happen." "I'm scared they're going to keep happening," Freya admits but Chloe doesn't think they will, especially since Freya is conscious of it.

CHLOE: If you hide from Levi you're going to get more and more in your head. If you hang out, I'm sure you'll see that he's right where you want him... in the friend zone.

Number 32
Aaron is surprised to see David home early and he explains about taking the afternoon of. He does at least ask how Dean is, which David interprets as Aaron wondering if he is in trouble or not... thankfully not as David managed to convince him not to take things further even if it was within his rights. "I'm sorry," Aaron genuinely says and that he's booked himself in for a counselling session too.

AARON: I don't want to be the guy who takes out his problems on everyone else.
DAVID: Or the guy that tells his husband who he can and can't be friends with?!
AARON: David, I said I'm sorry.
DAVID: Being married doesn't give you license to treat me like a piece of property.
AARON: I know that.

David tries to explain about needing an outlet where he can talk to someone that doesn't talk to Aaron.

DAVID: Dean gets me in ways that you don't, and that's okay. We don't have to be everything for each other.

Aaron wants to join David at River Bend to be told that David isn't now going because he doesn't want everyone going dissecting their issues! Despite saying it won't be like that, David thinks otherwise.

AARON: We need to talk. We actually need to spend time together!
DAVID: I need space!

That exchanged starts the pair squabbling again which is only stopped when Nicolette comes rushing through to tell the pair off because she is trying to get Isla down.

The Waterhole (veranda)
After being told where he is, Freya comes by to apologise to Levi and to admit that she is grateful he is following up the lead about Tina.

LEVI: Let's hope it gets us somewhere.

After she asks, Levi explains about the food parcel sitting on the table - he's got an extra-long lunchbreak today because he is pulling a double shift and is about to spend the time at the beach. "Do you want company?" she asks and its an immediate "yes" back from Levi!

Number 22
Nicolette drops by to inform Glen (and Terese) about a change in the plan for the River Bend trip - David is pulling out but Aaron is now coming along. "Swings and roundabouts," is how Glen takes the news about the changes but does hope that nobody else bails out. "What are you planning that requires such a large crowd?" Terese asks him, and the reply is "nothing, the more the merrier!"

Beach
Before inviting herself along for lunch, Freya should have maybe asked Levi what the food on offer was as we cut to Freya choking on what she's eating! Turns out its "hot sauce" that she is choking on. The pair start bonding over the guilty pleasures in life before being interrupted by Harlow and Ned.

The quartet chat briefly before Levi realises he needs to get back before starting his next shift and after they say goodbye, Harlow wonders if there is something genuinely happening between Levi and Freya now the truth is out about Gareth.

NED: You think she might have actually had a thing for him?
HARLOW: Well, if I didn't know she was pining for her missing boyfriend, I'd never have guessed.

Number 32
Even though he should be recuperating in his own home, Paul asks David if he's talked to Aaron and the reply is that Aaron apologised. Leo interprets that as them being "all good" now so David is forced to explain why Aaron isn't around - he's out walking with Nicolette and Isla who can't sleep because of their arguing. This is a surprised to Leo and he asks if it is all about Dean? "Does it have to be anything more?" David replies then goes onto explain how Aaron is seeing more into his friendship with Dean.

DAVID: We talk about books and we vent about relationships. But that's it.

Paul wonders if the fact they talk about literature intimidates Aaron, reminding David that Aaron's inadequacy has been a problem in the past. Leo backs his dad up, pointing out to his brother that he is "sharing something you love with someone else" thus missing that connection with Aaron.

PAUL: Doesn't take much to make a man jealous, believe me!

The Waterhole
Over drinks with Ned, Roxy and Kyle, Harlow reports her suspicions of "a definite vibe" happening between Levi and Freya. "Levi's gunning for a second chance," Kyle pipes up, which Roxy isn't sure will happen even though Harlow adds in how happy Freya did look. This is news to Roxy, but Ned is confused - if Freya likes Levi, why is she searching for Gareth? Harlow suggests that Freya is simply worried about Gareth and wants to make sure he is okay. "Maybe," ponders Roxy but is concerned that she might be leading Levi on again.

KYLE: Who knows... I mean she is full of surprises!

Number 24
Now back from the beach, Freya is still moaning about how sore her throat is thanks to the hot sauce! Levi suggests the next time they bypass food and go out for drinks instead! She is just agreeing to that when Chloe comes into the kitchen and is trying to get the goss, but attention is drawn instead to Levi getting a text message alerting him that David has pulled out of the River Bend trip. That news has barely sank in when Levi invites Freya along to take David's place! "Yeah sure," is her reply before Levi says his goodbyes as has to leave to get back to work.

CHLOE: I don't know what I just walked into but it's not the friend zone!
FREYA: No, it was not! I really like him. Like a lot and as much as I try not to flirt with him...
CHLOE: You can't help.
FREYA: I can't help myself!

"So what now?" Chloe asks and the reply is "pulling away... maybe." Chloe thinks that might be hard given she's just agreed to go away with Levi. "Yes, I really didn't think about that did I," Freya admits. "Unless you want to end things with Gareth?" Chloe nervously suggests. "I don't think I do," is the reply before Freya admits that things are "complicated"... something that is only going to get more completed if she goes away with Levi!

Ramsay Street
As they walk home, Roxy is trying to figure out if Gareth is out of the picture, and if she does like Levi, what is stopping them getting together? "We don't even know if she likes Levi," is Kyle's neutral reply to his wife before the pair run into Levi who has just exited #26.

Levi is surprised that they know about his trip to the beach until Roxy reveals who told them. He tries to ignore the pair, but they force him to admit to having had a good time at the beach with Freya and yes, "she was acting a bit different." "Like flirty different?" Roxy asks and the reply back is "maybe" but when Kyle asks if it's for real, Levi reminds them both that Freya is still in love with Gareth.

LEVI: I'm not going to read anything into a little bit of fun flirting.

Lassiters Lake
While out walking, Aaron is debating whether to go away or not since David isn't going. Nicolette reminds him that David wanted space and thinks they need to respect that.

AARON: Does anyone actually ever want space though?! Isn't it like saying 'hey, please don't follow me' when all you really want in your heart is for someone to chase you down to the airport?
NICOLETTE: Okay, romcom rules don't apply to real life unfortunately!

Nicolette thinks that David will feel "smothered" if Aaron stays, thus wants him to go away with her and have "some delicious uninterrupted sleep" and when they get back, "it will all feel solvable."

AARON: You're being weirdly positive!

Just at that, Aarons spots in the community lending library, the books that Dean gave to David. "He got rid of them," Nicolette remarks and she isn't the only one that seems to have a smile on her face!

Number 24
Freya is still in a quandary about whether to go away with Levi to River Bend or not. Chloe suggests having a mojito (to clear the mind!) then Freya needs to ask herself two hard questions - the first is what if Gareth doesn't want to be found? Chloe points out that he's been missing for ages and hasn't made any contact,, although she isn't surprised at that given that would put her in danger.

FREYA: That's how being in hiding works!

"He's not hunkered down in a cave," Chloe comments and points out that he was photographed at the complex, so could easily have managed to get a message to her.

CHLOE: I think we can both agree that Gareth is looking out for Gareth.

That leads onto Chloe's second question - is it time for Freya to start looking out for Freya? Freya is unsure how to answer that question given she's known Gareth since she was a kid and thus a part of her loves him so much and is desperate to make sure he is okay.

CHLOE: And the other part?
FREYA: That I should probably let him go... Because it's likely he's moved on.

And of course what is complicating things is Levi coming into the scene! Freya sings his praises before admitting she isn't sure what to do... well other than drink more of the cocktail that Chloe made!

Harold's café
Levi teases Ned that with all the gossiping he is doing about himself and Freya, he should start calling him 'Gran'! "Mate, we were just looking out for ya," Ned replies back to the teasing but does add that both Harlow and he witnessed their "vibing." That leads Levi into admitting how confusing things are and how keen he is on Freya despite the red flags!

LEVI: I can't help myself.
NED: It's your life. You go to do what you think is going to make you happy.

Levi then gets a call on his work mobile - it's a lead on where Gareth is!
