Bea suggests to Levi that he should check out the garage again for clues, or have another chat to Basil, but Levi doesn't think that's the right direction to take. Meanwhile, Yashvi notices that Ned has fallen silent and asks how he's holding up. Ned is rattled at the thought of Scarlett being alive, especially since his memories of harming her felt so real. Ned, Yashvi and Bea all want Levi to bring the new evidence to Detective Graves, which he agrees to do.
Kyle informs Sheila and Roxy about the 'Scarlett's still alive' theory he just heard from Ned, and fears he's on Scarlett's hit- list because of his bad luck streak. Sheila thinks Kyle is being too superstitious, but Roxy knows Scarlett's a "loose unit" and says they should all be careful. This makes Kyle fret more, despite Roxy and Sheila's assurances that he should be okay in theory. Kyle turns to leave and Toadie quickly stops him from nearly skidding over spilt drink on the floor.
KYLE: There you go! That was the third one, and now that I've dodged it, what's going to happen to me?
ROXY: It was just a bit of beer. Sheila can grab a mop.
SHEILA: Oh, can I?
TOADIE: You okay, mate?
ROXY: He thinks he's ran out of luck.
KYLE: Yeah, well at least until I'm hit a third time.
TOADIE: You mean like a curse?
ROXY: No! No, not a curse.
TOADIE: Right, yeah, well it might not be a curse. But I don't know, maybe you crossed someone in a past life or something?
Kyle glares at Toadie so Roxy suggests to her boyfriend that they go and have a nice, relaxing afternoon at home. Stirring the pot, Toadie tells Kyle to be careful as most accidents do happen inside the home. Kyle whimpers and shuffles off on his crutches while Roxy takes her turn to glare at Toadie.
Bea says it's obvious now that Scarlett is keeping tabs on them, and Yashvi points out that she probably knows Bea didn't get injured in a van accident. Bea says that the next time Scarlett tries anything she'll be ready. Yashvi says it may not be Bea next time, though, it could be any of them. Levi returns but it's not great news. Basically as soon as he mentioned the words "Scarlett" and "alive" in the same sentence, Detective Graves wasn't interested as all the evidence Levi presented was circumstantial. Yashvi knows Graves has already made up his mind about Scarlett so it's going to take more than a story from them for him to look at other possibilities. Ned says that if Scarlett is still alive then she's going to go after him, which means his family is in danger unless he clears out of the house for a while.
Kyle gets off the phone with Aaron after asking him for any spare baby- proofing materials he may have. Roxy overhears the conversation, but is also distracted by all the foam Kyle has cut up and stuck over every sharp corner in the house. In worried- mode, Kyle explains to Roxy that everything around the home is a potential death trap so he's taking every precaution necessary. Roxy is concerned that Kyle is going to end up hurting himself in the process of trying not to hurt himself.
KYLE: I just want to be prepared.
ROXY: For what? I know I said that Scarlett could come after us but none of this is going to stop that. It's a little bit over the top.
Bea and Yashvi have decided to camp out in the garage overnight in the hopes that Scarlett may return. Bea is happy that Yashvi agreed to do the stakeout with her, but Yashvi knew Bea would have done it on her own regardless and wanted to make sure she was safe. Bea feels as though Scarlett definitely hasn't finished what she started. Yashvi replies that it's probably because it's all too familiar.
YASHVI: We are exactly where we were a year ago.
BEA: Yeah, looking into Scarlett behind Ned's back.
YASHVI: And now Levi's. But I'm not here as a cop, okay. If we see or hear anything that sounds like Scarlett, we call 000.
BEA: Yep, I got it.
YASHVI: Seriously, Bea. We have to be smarter than last time. We have to let the police handle it. No charging into the line of fire.
BEA: We're not doing anything illegal. It's just two friends hanging out - all above board.
YASHVI: And if Scarlett makes the mistake of showing up...
BEA: We call the cops.
Scarlett is in her hideout trying to nap, but she's dreaming about the car accident that killed her family judging by the screeching tyre sounds. She wakes up and is alarmed when she hears Ned's voice outside the room. She peers through her spy hole in the door to see that he's talking to Harlow, who has been studying at The Hive because it was much quieter than anywhere else. Ned attempts to encourage Harlow to study elsewhere, but she's fretting about her Biology exam and wants to stay. Ned relents and tells her that he's going to set up camp upstairs.
HARLOW: Are you sleeping here?
NED: Just for a few nights.
NED: Like you said, home's not exactly quiet. Need a bit of space to myself.
HARLOW: Does Terese know?
NED: I'll send her a message.
HARLOW: Okay, but I don't think she'd want you to feel like you couldn't stay with us. We all want you there.
NED: I just need a bit of time to myself.
Some time passes and Harlow finishes up her studying. Scarlett watches through the peep hole as she chats to Ned, asking him if he's going to be okay alone. Ned jokes that hermit life suits him, but Harlow encourages him to emerge every now and then so they know he's alive. Not long after she leaves, Ned is surprised to see that Levi has stopped by. Levi says he's going to order them dinner and stay overnight.
LEVI: You're not staying here by yourself. I know I'm the last person you want around but I owe it to you to watch your back.
NED: No, no, you don't have to do that, mate.
LEVI: I played a part in getting you charged. You're innocent, I should have believed that.
NED: I didn't believe it so how could anyone else?
LEVI: I'm a cop. It's literally my job to get these things right.
Levi gets back on his phone to order dinner and Ned turns some music on. Scarlett strains to listen to more of their conversation but can't hear their voices over the music. Levi tells Ned that Yashvi believes in him too and is on his side. "Hopefully they'll drop the charges and you can get your life back, Yashvi included," Levi adds. Ned says that if he can get through all the Scarlett mess that's one thing, but he's got a lot to make up for with Yashvi. Keeping Yashvi safe is what matters most. Scarlett keeps staring through the door, wishing she could hear what's going on.
Sheila arrives home, not understanding why her residence has been turned into a foam fortress. Kyle and Roxy watch on as Sheila tries to open a cupboard, but the baby- proofing is too much of a challenge for her and she winds up ripping the door handle off. Sheila's angry with Kyle and Roxy chimes in again that baby- proofing the entire house isn't really helping. But Kyle isn't listening and goes into the backyard to put all the sharp tools into the shed. Sheila swaps an alarmed look with Roxy. "What have I done to my boy?" she frets.
Yashvi tells Bea that her workplace is kind of creepy at night, but Bea doesn't think it's too bad. "I've definitely slept in worse places," she adds, before repeating that she's glad Yashvi's there with her. Yashvi thanks her friend for not giving up on Ned when everyone else did - including herself.
BEA: Deep down you didn't really think he could do that?
YASHVI: When he confessed, yeah, I did. He lied to me about so much. He didn't feel like the same guy I fell in love with. And now we have this possible lead and I wish I stood by him. Like you.
BEA: I have to admit I haven't always been the best judge of character, but there was just something in my gut that told me it wasn't Ned.
YASHVI: He needed someone in his corner. You're a really good friend.
BEA: I'm just glad you and Levi feel the same way. And I wouldn't feel bad about falling for Scarlett's trap, she's obviously gone to a lot of trouble to set Ned up.
YASHVI: Yeah, she's planned it all to the very last detail. But why would you go to so much effort?
BEA: She obviously hates him.
YASHVI: Or really loves him. You wouldn't go to such extremes if you didn't have feelings for him.
BEA: What about you? Do you still love him?
YASHVI: Yeah, I do.
BEA: So would you ever consider getting back together?
YASHVI: How can I?
BEA: Yashvi you love him.
YASHVI: It doesn't excuse everything that happened. I don't think I could ever trust him again.
Scarlett creeps out of her hiding place and right past Levi, who is sound asleep on a chair. She tiptoes upstairs to where Ned is sleeping and stares at him for a moment before crouching down beside him. Scarlett reaches out her hand and moves it towards him in a motion reminiscent of Yashvi's earlier thoughts - is it a loving face caress she's aiming for, or is she gunning to wrap her hand around his throat? Coming to her senses, and realising it's probably not in her best interests to wake him, Scarlett retracts her hand and walks back downstairs to her hideout.
Yashvi is watching a video Ned uploaded on his socials of their country getaway. They're in the spa and Ned's gushing about how much he loves spending time with his girlfriend. Bea grins and says they're adorable. She adjusts her blanket and accidentally knocks a tool to the ground she'd been absentmindedly playing around with. Yashvi says she should probably stop re- watching it otherwise Ned will look at the view count and start to wonder. Speaking of the view count, Yashvi suddenly notices something weird.
YASHVI: It's got over a thousand views.
BEA: That's a lot. I mean, it's sweet if Ned's watching it but...
YASHVI: Yeah but if he's not, who would be interested in watching it?
They hear a noise outside that startles them. Yashvi goes to phone the cops but Bea says they need to make sure it's actually Scarlett. Yashvi grabs a tool for a weapon and follows Bea to the door. They creep out and run head- on into Kyle, who is just as spooked. Kyle explains that he couldn't sleep so he walked to the tram to get some paperwork, but then he heard a noise in the garage and came to investigate. "I'm never going to be able to sleep again after this!" Kyle groans.
The next morning Ned spots Yashvi emerging from the cafe and lets her know that he heard from Kyle about her stakeout with Bea last night. Ned's frustrated that they put themselves in danger, because what Scarlett is capable of terrifies him. Yashvi says they only did it because Graves won't listen to reason and she's worried about who could be Scarlett's next target. Ned argues that he doesn't want Yashvi putting herself in the line of fire.
NED: I can't lose you. What's not changed in all this is that I love you.
YASHVI: I know.
NED: And I know it's early days, but if I really am innocent and I don't go to jail, where does that leave us?
YASHVI: I've been thinking about us a lot lately and there's a lot I want to say, I just... I'm not ready yet okay? Soon though.
Kyle explains to Roxy what happened at the garage. She's amazed that Kyle went to investigate the noise no worries considering initially he was too afraid to even leave the house. Roxy can see that Kyle is still wound up about things so she takes it upon herself to sneak behind him and pinch him. Kyle yelps but Roxy just laughs and says she had to break the 'rule of three' curse, now he's free. Kyle isn't convinced it's solved anything.
Yashvi and Bea ask Harlow for tech help to find out who all the views on the video are coming from. Harlow says there's an app she can send them, but she is too busy studying to talk them through it step- by- step. Yashvi works it out easily enough, though, and tells Bea that the app is showing her all the IP addresses that viewed the post. There are a few from Melbourne, but the person who has viewed it the most times is apparently from Nigeria. Yashvi says that Scarlett masked her IP address when she first contacted Ned, so there's a big chance it's her. Bea notes that some of the views are quite recent so she's obviously been tracking him the whole time. "This is evidence that's she's still alive, right?" Bea asks. But Yashvi says it doesn't bring them any closer to success unless they can think of a way to use it against Scarlett.
Erinsborough Police Station
Levi sees Yashvi and Bea walk in and lets them know he's not impressed with their impromptu stakeout last night. Bea says it was worth a shot if Scarlett had've returned, but Levi points out they could have been hurt. Yashvi promises they were careful.
LEVI: You're treading a fine line, Vi. You don't want to be that officer who breaks the rules for her friends.
YASHVI: Are you going to tell Graves?
LEVI: No, but no more unauthorised stakeouts, okay?
Yashvi says she won't need to if Levi looks into the view count on her video. Bea explains their discovery about one person from 'Nigeria' watching the video over and over. Yashvi is adamant that Scarlett is watching them, and Bea says it could be the perfect way to smoke her out of hiding. Levi realises the girls are only going to keep digging around if he doesn't look into the IP address, so he says he'll pass it onto Graves but it could take a few days to get results.
Yashvi finds Ned around the side of the building and says they need to talk. Ned is happy to do whatever Yashvi wants him to do.
YASHVI: Good, because I have an idea on how to fix things... We should get married.
Ned is happy, stunned and confused all at once.
