- Toadie unhappy at Dee seeing her mum.
- Toadie pleading with Dee that he can get past her seeing Heather.
- Mackenzie receiving a friend request from her dad.
- Toadie wanting a meeting with Grant regarding his worksafe claim.
- Shane telling Mackenzie that her dad might be visiting... but keeping quiet why he is coming.
- Kyle commenting to Mackenzie that people can change if given a chance.
- Chloe commenting randomly that she, Pierce and Naomi could be a 'throuple'.
- Pierce suggesting that he could be adventurous!
- Naomi happy to be of service to Pierce and Chloe.
Now that the trio have agree to be a 'throuple' they need a venue â€" Pierce doesn't want it to be Lassiters, so Naomi suggests their place.
Kyle is more than relived to hear that Sheila's breast bust has been relocated to her bedroom, so he no longer has to see it!
Clive is making dinner and asks if Naomi likes it hot when she rushes into the house. Sheila isn't amused to hear that she won't be staying for dinner (Naomi describes going to #24 as work related!) so orders her to be home quickly instead.
SHEILA: Make it quick.
NAOMI: Well that's not entirely up to me! These things take as long as they take!
"Enjoy your threesome," she tells her mum before rushing to her room to get ready. Kyle rushes after her to persuade her to stay for dinner but she reiterates that she has commitments... although does so with a smile on her face!
"I can be bought!" Hendrix declares after Pierce pays him $200 to take Harlow on a date, to ensure he and Chloe have the house to themselves for their 'meeting' after coming home to find the pair watching TV.
Naomi lets Kyle know why she needs to go to #24 and he is somewhat surprised to hear of what is planned... and indeed, once he starts thinking about it, says to her that he doesn't want to hear any more!
Despite what is coming out of their mouths, it would appear Mr and Mrs Greyson aren't quite singing from the same hymn sheet about the 'throuple' judging by their body language!
Mackenzie turns down joining Harlow and Hendrix in spending Pierce's money as she is going to be meeting her dad. They offer to stay and support her, which she rejects as she's got support from the Rebecchi's.
"She's so excited," Dipi says to the Rebecchi brothers in the kitchen before they start debating whether Grant is ready to accept Mackenzie or not. Toadie suggests that Mackenzie should be told the real reason for Grant's visit, but Shane doesn't thinks doing that will blow any chance of them building their relationship.
Dee drops by to tell Toadie that she is heading to the prison to see Heather, but this means thought that she'd miss the special dinner being prepared for Grant's arrival. Toadie isn't too happy she is missing dinner and after he states the importance of it, she agrees to delay her visit to the prison until tomorrow.
Andrea gets it in the neck from her mum after she makes an adverse comment about Dee after hearing she cancelled her visit to the prison. That results in the pair having a bit of a set- to and Heather has a go at Andrea for not being willing to get herself better. Turns out though that Andrea has been making a list of apology letters she intends to write; which Heather is thrilled to hear. Heather suggests that her first letter should be to Dee, so that she can hand it over tomorrow.
Grant is very clearly in pain when Shane lets him into the house, he is more than grateful to the help Toadie is giving him. "Don't stuff this up," is Shane's warning to his friend seconds before Mackenzie (and Dipi) enter the living room. Initially Grant goes down the 'over friendly' route with Mackenzie but she wants answers first, so rather than give her a lame excuse, he explains essentially that "I stuffed up."
GRANT: I'm sorry.
"Why are you here?" she asks and nervously he replies that he wants "to get to know you better." Everyone nervously waits to see how Mackenzie is going to react - she accepts what her dad has said and with that, says school is going great and will tell him all... cue major relief that things are going to go well.
Nervously Pierce and Chloe await Naomi's arrival, unsure of how to plan for things. "No need to be nervous," Naomi declares after she arrives and spots the glasses of wine poured and why they've been poured (to calm the nerves).
NAOMI: Nobody has to do anything they don't want to do tonight okay.
PIERCE: Yes, absolute.
Naomi then proposes a toast "to friendship and new frontiers" before asking the nervous Greyson's "so, what now?"
As everyone sits round the table eating dinner, the conversation is a bit strained. Mackenzie spots that her dad is in pain when he stretches for the condiments and he is forced to say he put his back out, but due to old age rather than what caused the back injury. She rushes off to get him a heat pack from the bathroom, to aid his comfort, after explaining about staying at the backpackers. This "being so nice" is throwing Grant somewhat as he thought "she'd write me off."
When Mackenzie returns with the pack, she asks her dad to meet her after school tomorrow so they can "hang out." Initially he replied that he couldn't as he was seeing someone about his back, but the others persuade him reschedule the appointment so he can spend time with his daughter.
Number 26 (next day)
Sheila is curious to know what Chloe and Pierce made Naomi do after she got home last the previous night! "Things," is her nonchalant reply but Sheila is disputing much work actually got done given the volume the music was played at. "You weren't there mum," is Naomi's comeback and Clive joins in the conversation to hope they paid her overtime!
Number 24/Number 26
With the scene cutting back and forth between the two houses, we hear that the 'throuple' didn't take place as Chloe freaked out after Naomi made the first move. Pierce admits to his wife that he was relived nothing happened and they eventually come clean to one another and admit that they only agreed to the throuple because they thought the other wanted it. He also comes clean about Paul suggesting to him she was after Naomi.
CHLOE: So you listened to Paul instead of talking to me?
Naomi is aghast that she has "sexually harrassed both my bosses!" "That's so awkward," Naomi isn't amused to hear from her nephew! She admits the plan sounded "exciting" until it "got real and actually messed everything up."
KYLE: What now?
NAOMI: Now we all go to work together.
Dee begins their meeting by apologising to her mum for having to cancel their previous meeting however refuses to say anything more on that subject. She is a bit thrown when Heather refers to her 'Sunday name' and admits that it is nice to hear the full version of her name. They then start talking hypothetically of what she would have been named had Heather known about her, and the name would have been Annabelle.
HEATHER: My little 'A' team.
With their meeting rescheduled (due to Grant's meeting with Mackenzie), Toadie tells Grant (and Shane) that he has a strong claim despite the shop making it difficult. Before they go any further, Grant admits he has no money to pay Toadie with but is told that he is doing the case pro bono.
The meeting is curtailed when Mackenzie (along with Harlow and Hendrix) arrive in the café. Everyone is forced to lie over why the trio are there and to divert attention even more, father and daughter decide to hang out now in her free period. The pair head off so she can show her dad the neighbourhood and both Toadie and Shane are impressed at the effort Grant is putting in.
Clive is still positive that Naomi hates him despite Kyle trying to say she doesn't, she's simply had "things on her mind" but refuses to elaborate further! When Naomi comes into the living room, he asks her to accompany him to some tournament he has tickets for. Naomi turns him down, not because hates him but because she's bought a ticket to LA! Sheila is utterly gobsmacked at hearing that news and asks when she is leaving and Naomi replies "tonight."
Dee writes the name 'Annabelle' into a page of her book before sitting and pondering.
Lassiters rooftop pool
Terese arrives at the pool but can't see who she is looking for.
Turns out its Naomi she was looking for asks Pierce and Chloe if they've seen her when she enters her own office. Chloe replies that she hasn't and asks Terese why she is looking for her.
TERESE: She's quit!
Pierce and Chloe are shocked at what Terese has just said and she asks if either know why Naomi is flying to LA tonight? "No idea," Chloe replies seconds before Naomi walks into the office saying, "good morning." Cue major awkwardness and silence before Terese asks why she is leaving. Naomi feels that her "time here is done" (Terese doesn't!) and is sure that Chloe can handle the forthcoming events she'd have been responsible for. Terese tries one more time to get Naomi to change her mind, but she feels a clean break is required.
"Is this because of last night?" Chloe asks after Terese leaves to go break the bad news to Paul. "Not just because of last night," is the reply before adding that she should thank them â€" for making her realise that she needs to work on herself.
NAOMI: I left a lot of things unfinished in LA. I need to go tidy them up.
CHLOE: Guess that makes sense.
"I've loved working with you both," she says to them and would love to replicate their relationship herself. Before she leaves though, she does give them a bit of advice.
NAOMI: You need to work on your communication.
Grant and Mackenzie seem to have gotten on well with each other when the return to the café, so much so that she wants her dad to stay longer. To help convince him to stay, Mackenzie volunteers to talk to Auntie Trish so that he can stay there, rather than the backpackers, since its empty.
When the pair go to the counter to get a drink, Dipi remarks to Shane that Mackenzie is going to be devastated when she finds out the real reason her dad is in town. "Lets just see how it goes," he replies back and hope that Grant takes the risk and "does the right thing."
Naomi is still heading to LA despite Sheila trying to persuade her otherwise. Clive is surprised to hear that he's being invited to a family lunch as he thought she didn't like him. "You're great," she reassures him with and explains she wasn't avoiding him, she has simply been too busy. Sheila tugs at Naomi's heartstrings to persuade her to stay, "I need you," but while that was her initial reason for coming, she reassures her mum she has support... and we hear another Canning is on their way â€" Levi who is being transferred to Erinsborough!
SHEILA: Why do I have to settle for a grandson when I've got my very own daughter?
NAOMI: Sorry. I'm sorry, I have to do this.
Tearfully Sheila tells her daughter "I'm going to miss you," and the feeling is very mutual.
NAOMI: We're Canning's.
SHEILA and NAOMI: (together) Canning's are made of tough stuff.
Dee is in a world of her own when Toadie spots her sitting by the lake and he can tell something is up with her and she explains that "it's complicated." Toadie wants her to open up to him... except it's Heather related so she feels that she can't.
TOADIE: I knew that this would happen.
DEE: (angrily) What?!
TOADIE: That she would leave you feeling like this. So this is why you shouldn't have a relationship with her.
DEE: I was feeling sorry for her and for everything I've missed out on not having her in my life.
He tries to reassure her that she hasn't missed out on anything, indeed says she's "dodged a bullet there!" Dee isn't amused and orders him not to say that.
TOADIE: It's the truth.
DEE: You hate her, I get that, but the only person being manipulative right now is you.
TOADIE: (bemused) How?!
DEE: By expecting me to not have a relationship with my mother.
"I'm just being honest like we agreed," he tries to explain to her, but she needs "more than that."
TOADIE: What do you mean?
DEE: If you think its acceptable to deny me the right to have a relationship with my mother, then I don't see how we can begin.
