Hospital
Karl explains what happens next to the family - David has been put on the national register for kidney donation. After Amy asks, he suggests that the family can be tested to see if they are a suitable match however warns that it is a major operation and poses risk for the donor too. There is no major rush to find everyone (nobody can get hold of Leo to at least tell him about the accident as he's at a music festival) as Karl explains that dialysis will keep David stable "for as long as we need."

DAVID: Years if necessary.

"What kind of life is that?" Paul asks and everyone readily agrees to go have blood tests to start the ball rolling.

Lassiters Lake
As they walk through the park, Bea and Finn discuss going to see David in the morning. They come across Ned with a set of bolt cutters at the lake and he explains about cutting off the padlock on the bridge that Scarlett put up without his knowledge.

BEA: That's so messed up.
NED: That was Scarlett!

After Bea enquires how he is doing, Ned replies that he is "getting there," and adds that he starts counselling the next day. "That's really good," she sincerely tells him, and Ned is so looking forward to the "talkfest!" Finn reassures him on how better he feels after chatting to David to try and reassure Ned and asks that he "gives it a chance," to which Ned replies "I will."

Once Finn and Bea depart, Ned angrily throws the padlock into the lake.

Hospital (next day)
"Of course I am angry, she stabbed me!" is Ned's opening line to his counsellor, Dr D'Souza! While Ned has turned up, he isn't exactly in the right frame of mind and doesn't look too enthralled when Dr D'Souza suggests doing a mindfulness breathing technique that he can try.

Lassiters Complex
Chloe and Pierce are chatting with Toadie about David. The trio decide that postponing the mediation session would be best, as they feel Paul won't be in the right frame of mind for it.

Hospital
Chloe and Pierce come to tell David (and Aaron) that they've decided to postpone their wedding. David isn't happy though and insists it goes ahead as scheduled, promising that he will be there.

Paul returns after having his blood taken for testing and asks for a word in the corridor with Chloe and Pierce. When they move there, he isn't happy to hear about the mediation session has been cancelled, while acknowledging that he has a lot going on in his private life, he wants the legal stuff finished with. Paul insists the session goes a head as planned, so Chloe goes to call Toadie.

Hospital café (outside)
As they agreed the night before, Bea and Finn have gone to the hospital, but she lets him go inside to talk to David and instead joins Aaron in the outside café. He is hiding there so David doesn't know how worried he is and admits to Bea about feeling guilty that David is in hospital because of him. Bea replies that he can't blame himself and somewhat reluctantly, agrees to Aaron's request of keeping an eye on Ned for him.

AARON: Well um, I guess you should probably hear the full story then.

Hospital
Much to Harlow's annoyance, Karl has to rule her out of being tested to help David as she is under 18 when she and Terese arrive to get tested.

Aaron returns back inside a bit happier than we saw him before the break. Hugging Amy, he thanks her and Paul for their support and helping him cope.

At this point, the family have congregated in the waiting area and so are all there when Kyle arrives declaring that he wants to be tested! Paul is irate and rushes over to him, grabbing his lapels and ordering Kyle out of the hospital because he "should be in jail not here!"

Karl rushes to pull Paul off Kyle and warns him "that is enough," but Paul immediately replies back that he "hasn't even started yet!"

KARL: PAUL!
PAUL: (to Kyle) GET OUT!!!

"I just want to help," we hear Kyle lament to Amy, but she thinks space would be good, so somewhat reluctantly, Kyle heads out of the hospital.

(Later)

Commercial break later and David (and Aaron) receive another visitor - Ned. When Ned goes to talk in code over how he's doing, Aaron reveals to him that David knows about fight club. Accepting it, even if he's not exactly happy, Ned then tells them about going for his first counselling session and that he is going to keep at it. "Does Kane know you've quit?" Aaron asks (no) so he then demands that Ned texts him not to inform him. Somewhat hesitantly, Ned gets out his phone and does as he is told, showing Aaron the text to prove he did send it.

David then suddenly experiences some pain, and as he turns over, Ned spots some blood coming through his dressings. This causes him to then freak out after seeing the blood (he has a flashback to his hands being covered in blood after Scarlett stabbed him) and so can't get out of the room quick enough!

Number 22
Harlow is researching the internet determined to find a loophole so she can get herself tested to be David's donor, even though she warns that there is unlikely to be one. It would also appear from the snippets we hear, that Terese isn't suitable either due to her alcoholism.

Terese is in a bit of a state, partially because she's got an AA meeting soon, but also because she is still trying to make amends with Harlow over the lass thinking she didn't want her to stay in Erinsborough. Harlow knows that Terese didn't want her to leave... however is displeased that she chose alcohol instead of her.

TERESE: Okay, listen, I know it might seem that way, but it's... it's much more complicated. Listen Harlow, I want you to know that if I'd known about The Order, I would never have allowed you to go.
HARLOW: Yes, I believe you.
TERESE: I love you Harlow, you're family and I'm sorry I ever made you doubt it.

"Thank you," the lass replies and adds that she won't tell Paul about what happened with Prue either because "it's not worth the extra pressure on you both."

On seeing Ned walk through the door, Terese invites him to join them for a cuppa but he's just received a message from Kane asking to meet up, and heads upstairs to his room instead.

Rebecchi Law
Toadie is somewhat surprised to see Kyle given he's meant to be spending time with Amy, but given she doesn't want a bar of him, he has arrived for the mediation session.

Before the session begins, Toadie updates Kyle that the police have confirmed the paint on the Ute is from David's bike and so he can expect charges to be laid soon.

Paul, Pierce and Chloe arrive for the mediation session. Chloe thanks Toadie for hosting and he suggests that before they begin, they "establish baseline expectations."

PAUL: You know, the only thing that I expect is that this walking compromise of a man has the decency to pull out of this ridiculous charade.
PIERCE: Paul!
PAUL: What, you want me to be civil do you?! Barney Rubble here has put my business at risk. He's also caused great stress to my family... and you want me to play nice, do you?! Yeah!!!

Paul stands up and walks over to where Kyle is sitting so that he can menacingly look into Kyle's eyes before continuing his tirade!

PAUL: You know what? You nearly killed my son! I hope they throw the book at you.
TOADIE: That's not what we're here for Paul.
PAUL: Now Kyle, I know you're a simple man, so I'm going to keep it that way. You either pull out of the lawsuit or the police are going to be the least of your worries.

Toadie interjects and in his lawyer voice, asks Paul if he is "threating my client?!" Chloe then steps in, commenting that the meeting "was a mistake," and orders Paul out of the law office.

Harold's Café
Toadie relays the news to Kyle that he's just been told on the phone - that he is being charged with dangerous driving and failure to render assistance.

KYLE: What am I looking at?
TOADIE: Uh, anything from a fine to incarceration but you have a very strong case to avoid jail time.
KYLE: Yeah. I'll take what I get. I think Paul's only going to be happy if I'm locked up.

Toadie tries to reassure Kyle that while Paul is angry, he'd no right to speak to him like he did in the law office. Kyle seems aghast that the lawsuit trying to fix things and decides to pull out helping Toadie with the class action, although Toadie will carry on for the other plaintiffs.

Kyle is starting to get quite emotional, so decides to head outside to clear his head and on the way out, he effectively brushes Amy aside. "It's been a very rough day," Toadie explains and tells her about Paul blowing up at him during the mediation session. "That happened at the hospital too," Amy says and acknowledges that she wants "to be there for him" especially as she can see Kyle is "so devastated" over what he did.

AMY: You know I hate seeing him like this but before I knew it was him, I mean, I hated the guy who put David in hospital. I was so angry... now what do I do with that anger?

Hospital
Its bad news time - Aaron, Amy and Paul aren't a match for David, but he knew that the chances were very small. Kim has been ruled out due to her having diabetes, and they've not yet heard from Leo, so Paul plans on contacting the extended members of the Robinson family. They plan to ask friends and neighbours too, but David still thinks the national register "might come through."

PAUL: Whatever the cost, I will get you through this okay.
AMY: We all will, won't we!
AARON: Yes, absolutely!

When everyone disappears, David jokes to his husband that his "elaborate plan for an extended holiday continues to pay off!" Joking back, Aaron remarks that David will "really do anything for room service, won't you!" before the tension in the room rises again. "Are you okay?" David asks and Aaron immediately confirms that he is before admitting the truth.

AARON: I'm trying, but I'm terrified. Aren't you?
DAVID: It's far from a disaster. We've only just started looking for a donor, there's no immediate threat. I have faith.
AARON: Yes, and so do I!

Hospital café (outside)
Amy finds her dad sitting outside in the café getting some fresh air. She reaches into her bag for a ¼ bottle of whisky, but despite her thoughtfulness, Paul isn't in the mood for a nip. Much to Paul's annoyance, Amy then brings up him taking his frustration out on Kyle.

PAUL: He deserves everything he gets.
AMY: He hit David by accident, and he turned himself in. You can't blame him for things he has nothing to do with.

"The lawsuit is going ahead for a reason," she adds, and Paul opens up about feeling like he's coping it in all directions just now. "Maybe it's time to end it?" she subtly asks because "David needs all of us right now."

AMY: But you just told him, whatever the cost, we need to get through this.

Paul then nods his head in acknowledgement of her request.

Number 28
Finn is explaining to Bea that he's been transferred to Dr Bowman since David is incapacitated but the lass isn't listening - she's still thinking of what Aaron told her (about Ned and how he got his injuries). She lets him know that they were right to be worried about Ned "being involved in something shady." Despite not exactly being happy, Finn gives her his blessing to fulfil Aaron's request and be the one to keep an eye on Ned.

Hospital
Paul watches from outside in the corridor as Aaron adjusts David's pillows, before walking away where he spots Chloe and Pierce who have arrived with sustenance for everyone. Before they barely get a chance to say anything, Paul declares that he wants the lawsuit settled, and acknowledging that is going to cost money, asks Pierce if he wants to buy a bigger share of Lassiters?

The 82
Ned calls the hospital to see if he can get his next appointment with Dr D'Souza brought forward but he still has a week to wait for the first available appointment. Just as he finishes his call, Kane arrives and admits he was surprised by the text Ned sent because he thought "you were keen." "Not anymore," Ned replies but hears that the guy he took down (Judd) wants a rematch and thinks it's "unfair to bail on him."

NED: Well, life's not really fair.
KANE: Hm. See you there!

Bea has been watching the pair talk and when Kane walks away after saying that to Ned, she approaches him seeking confirmation that he runs fight club.

The Waterhole
Paul, Terese, Chloe and Pierce are sitting silently awaiting Toadie (and Kyle's) arrival. They obviously think they are there for Paul to make more threats to them and are therefore stunned when Paul explains that they are there to settle the lawsuit. Paul hands Toadie a folder with his offer and both he, and Kyle, look utterly shocked at seeing Paul's "generous" offer.

KYLE: Wow, that's a pretty big change of heart.
PAUL: I want this behind us, so that I can focus on what's more important to me.

Toadie puts the paperwork into his bag and is going to recommend to the other plaintiffs that they accept the offer Paul has made. "This is good, for everyone," Chloe acknowledges, and Pierce says it as being a way to get the business "back on track."

Kyle heads over to the bar where Amy and Harlow are sitting, to tell them about the offer Paul has made and that he thinks they are going to settle. "That's brilliant," Harlow declares but Amy is curious to know where the money is coming from as Paul "doesn't have that sort of money." "Apparently he's come up with it," is all Kyle can say to them.

Leaving Harlow at the bar, so he can chat privately with Amy, he begins by apologising for giving her the brush off earlier. "You must be relived?" she thinks, and he replies, "not really" as there are other "more important things on the line."

KYLE: Like us.
AMY: It's still complicated.
KYLE: I'll do whatever it takes to fix this.
AMY: We'll find a way.

Fight club
"Good choice," Kane declares when Ned comes into the club and stands next to him. Ned is told that he is fighting last as Kane goes to get the next fight sorted out. "Who's up next?" Kane yells and we then see that Bea has entered the club and shouts out "me" before doing down the stairs into where the unofficial ring is.

Ned and Bea both stare at each other, waiting for one of them to be the first to say or do something as the episode finishes.
