- A hidden camera being found in a Lassiters hotel room.
- A brick being thrown through a window at #32, allegedly from Scarlett's ex who she believes is in Erinsborough.
- Scarlett and Ned pashing.
- Scarlett wanting Ned to forget about their one night stand.
- Sheila hearing that Beverly and Clive are going to #32 for dinner.
- Sheila really telling Beverly what she thinks of her!
- Clive and Sheila having a blazing row... then pashing each other!
Number 26
Sheila tells Gary about the kiss with Clive and deduces that it means he still wants her and not Beverly. Gary tries to get his mum to not get carried away interpreting what the kiss means. However, his words are falling on deaf ears as Sheila has concluded that the kiss means she and Clive are back together!
Number 32
Given the ending of the meal, David is in limbo as to whether he is getting to attend the symposium or not. Clive (when he comes back in for his jacket) suggest not calling Beverly to ask as things are still somewhat raw! He does though think tonight hasn't done David any favours but promises to talk to Beverly on the way home. Aaron tries his best to keep David's spirits up, however he's already been realistic and knows he isn't getting to the symposium.
Road outside the Community Centre (next day)
As Kyle escorts Scarlett to work (and will be her bodyguard until 2pm) she's already trying to say he isn't needed but he is staying firm with the promise. She then pleads that she needs to do baby steps (by visiting the Community Centre to see about the next support group) and somewhat reluctantly, Kyle gives in however promises to be back when she has her lunch break!
Turns out the visit was just an excuse to get rid of Kyle... but instead she is caught by Toadie! He asks her about signing up for the next support group, and she turns his offer down, citing that it's not really for her.
Number 32
Sheila is around to apologise sincerely for her behaviour the night before and is getting a hard time from Aaron about it. She is aghast to hear that David might miss out on the symposium because of her (he gets a text from Clive saying he's had no luck with Beverly yet).
Lassiters hotel foyer
Scarlett is all apologetic to Ned for being a bit late into work. She tries to engage him in conversation (since she is minus her bodyguards) but he brushes her aside to get back to work.
Paul isn't so forgiving though about Scarlett's though lateness when he spots her. He wants to know when her reference (from the hotel in Dubbo) is coming as her month's grace period to get it is almost up. Trying to get herself out of it, Scarlett turns all emotional, which has Terese feeling sympathetic for her, but Paul still looks peeved as she walks away from them and even more so when Terese gives him an ear bashing about not being sympathetic enough in the circumstances!
With a flea in his ear from his wife, Paul goes looking for Scarlett to apologise, but when he finds her she is the exact opposite of a few minutes ago - happy as Larry.
Harold's Café
Paul tries to calm his wife down as she starts to get worked up about whether they are going to get their Melbourne Cup marquee or not (she's not heard from Pierce about it). Changing topics, he goes to tell Terese about apologising to Scarlett, and remarks that "she's a resilient girl." He isn't too pleased at Terese thinking they need to go overboard in supporting Scarlett but agrees to be flexible with her shifts to allow her to attend counselling sessions.
Paul heads over to chat with Toadie about Scarlett's counselling sessions to discover she isn't part of the support group, although Toadie adds she is more than welcome if she changes her mind.
Lassiters Complex
On her phone Scarlett sends and SOS for someone to do a convincing job as her referee but quickly hides her phone when Ned comes over to chat. After hearing Paul gave her a hard time earlier, he offers her support, but she rejects his offer of taking her for lunch in favour of the newly arrived bodyguard Kyle.
Ramsay Street
As they carry the messages home, Aaron is trying to cheer David up while equally trying to distract him too but it's not working. David wonders if what happened is going to be repeated throughout his career, so Aaron goes hard on the charm offensive by reminding his hubby that he is: amazing, intelligent and incredible. He also reassures David that what happened last night had nothing to do with him - it was Sheila that stuffed up. Sadly, David is thinking back to how his surgical career ended and laments that he "can't catch a break."
The Waterhole
After Scarlett spots Ned arriving in the bar, she totally ramps up how much a good guy Kyle is and how it is nice to have someone "there for me."
Hospital
Clive isn't amused to see Sheila walk into his office, but she ignores that and instead hands him a written apology (not laced with anthrax!) for Beverly to try and help get David to the symposium, acknowledging that it's not right he's the one paying the price for her stuff-up. Beverly is apparently too upset to talk and equally Clive isn't telling her about their kiss, putting it down to "an accident."
SHEILA: So, you just accidentally fell on my face?!
CLIVE: I got caught up in the moment.
SHEILA: Because you still love me!
Clive denies that and tries to get Sheila to accept that it is over between them... which lasts all of 2 seconds before the pair start pashing again... and a desk hastily cleared!
Terese's office
As expected, Paul receives a call with the person on the other end giving Scarlett and glowing reference! Paul isn't exactly convinced its genuine, especially the at the speed her old manager suddenly surfaced but doesn't let his guard drop while Scarlett is still in the office. Once she leaves though, it's a different matter but before Paul can fully discuss his suspicion with Terese, Ned arrives with some urgent mail.
Hospital
Clothes are quickly being put back on as we return to Clive's office with the man admitting "I should not have done that!"
SHEILA: Yip, you really looked like you were trying to hold yourself back.
Clive is aghast at cheating on Beverly and Sheila points out he's a bit late! "Are you going to break up with her?" Sheila asks and he agrees to once the symposium is over, as he agreed to go to that in a professional capacity.
Number 32
Ned pops round to give Scarlett the heads up that despite the reference, Paul isn't convinced and that he doesn't trust her either. "It's not like I've got anything to hide," she replies, which Ned readily agrees to before suggesting she keeps her head down and Paul "will move on."
The duo then retreat to the Doug Out to join Kyle, Aaron and David with the beers. She seeks David out immediately to see how she can get into Paul's good books! "What have you done wrong?" Aaron asks and she quickly replies that she's simply going for "general strategy." "Finding a way to earn his respect," is David's suggestion once he replies and Kyle chips in his tuppenceworth by warning her that Paul doesn't mess around when he wants something! He also warns her not to show any weakness, or it will be used against her. Ned thinks that Paul is "more difficult than he is dangerous" but Scarlett looks absolutely scared after hearing what has been said!
Lassiters hotel foyer
Paul catches his wife in the foyer to tell her he's booked her in for a massage after she was complaining earlier of being tired. After she heads off to the spa, Paul calls back the number Scarlett's referee called from as he has a few more questions to ask.
The Waterhole
Gary warns his mum about not getting her hopes up after she tells him of the plan she's concocted with Clive. "You could try to be happy for me," she comments and after Gary spots David and Aaron entering the bar, he replies back that its "a pity about the roadkill on the way." Sheila has a plan though and heads over to the table the guys are sitting at... and that would be whatever they are ordering, it's on the house, by way of an apology. She then tells them about the letter of apology for Beverly and unlike Aaron, David appreciates her gesture.
"I don't believe it," David declares after taking a call from Beverly - he's going to the symposium! Sheila though refuses to say how she managed to persuade Beverly after David asked.
Terese's office
Scarlett arrives to talk with Paul but is told not to take a seat when she goes to sit!
PAUL: You're fired, effective immediately!
A stunned Scarlett points out that she got him the reference he demanded, and Paul then reveals that whoever she paid to give the glowing reference, he paid more to get the truth! He also reveals he called the Dubbo hotel she allegedly worked in and they've no record of her working there at all. "That doesn't make any sense," she tries to plead and isn't sure why they said that, but Paul isn't listening and orders her "out of my hotel."
Going for a lifeline, she admits that she hasn't gone about things "the right way" and admits to telling a "white lie to protect what you have." She then brings up the fact she knows about the hidden cameras which could be a huge, expensive scandal "if people decided to sue." Trying to deflect attention, Paul tries to tell her that she doesn't "know what you're talking about."
SCARLETT: Actually, I do. I understand why you tried to keep the situation under wraps, and I could choose to blab but I think we can work out some kind of deal.
