Number 32
Chloe confirms that it was a date she was asking Elly on, but Elly isn't sure what to reply. "Just say what you feel," Chloe urges her but before Elly can reply, she gets a call from Susan wanting to meet and discuss what is happening at the school.
Lassiters Complex
Bea rushes after the hastily departing Ned to try and persuade him to help her. He takes great delight in reminding her that she didn't like him being 'her bodyguard' when they were dating plus he is on community service! Bea comes up with an alternative - he accompanies her while she talks to Alfie (she doesn't think he'll listen if she goes alone) but again, Ned says no and tells her to go to the police. "I can't go to the cops," she pleads but it's fallen on deaf ears and after Yashvi joins them, they head off together.
Number 30
Finn is practicing his Rebecchi foundation pitch to Toadie ahead of a meeting with the Dune Rats (who are keen to support a local charity) when Bea interrupts. She is happy to hear his news, then tells him her news - Susan is back from Sydney. After absorbing the news for a few seconds, he reassures her "everything will be fine."
Number 28
As Karl brings her a cuppa, Susan updates Elly on how well her treatment went (and that it was over when the school phoned) and that the team are pleased with how things are going.
Moments later, Bea and Finn arrive home and Susan rushes to warmly greet her niece. After a look from Karl, she gets onto them being in a relationship and asks if they are ready for it? While Bea wishes she'd been able to tell her the news in person, she confirms that she is ready, and Finn interjects to acknowledge how weird it is but they're going into it with their eyes open. Bea mentions that there have been a few incidents and Susan offers her support, to show that they don't have to deal with things on their own.
Now the awkward chat is out of the way, the pair and Karl head to get dinner started to allow Susan and Elly to chat about what is happening at school. Susan reveals that she's set up mediation talks tomorrow with Angela (and has invited Dipi along too as she is head of the PTA) and is hoping that once she sees that Elly has her full support, she will stop the fearmongering.
Erinsborough High (next day)
Susan, Elly, Dipi and Angela are in the classroom for the mediation session (Kirsha is lurking outside in the corridor). Everyone would have been as well to have saved their breath as nothing, including an appeal from the lurking Kirsha, is going to make Angela change her mind - only Elly's resignation or her removal will do that.
The Waterhole
Chloe and Pierce run through the instructions for 'Live @ Lassiters' with the silent extras, Ned and Paul.
When the meeting is over, there is a late changed to the plans - Pierce wants to have Chloe serving wine with him (she wanted Ned to be the barman) and eventually Paul steps in to confirm the amended arrangements.
Harold's Café
Yashvi has had enough of Ned being on another planet and gets him to say what's up, so he tells her about Bea's request for him to intimidate Alfie. She thinks Bea must be worried if she approached him, but Ned still doesn't want to get involved.
Live @ Lassiters
The crowd start to pout in as first on stage is Kylie Auldist (performing Sensational).
Dipi is moaning to Shane as they walk in about the detrimental effect Elly leaving will have on the girls, should she give into Angela's demands. The pair pass the wine station which turns into an inuendo discussion about wine when really it's about Pierce getting the knock back from Chloe...and she's had enough of dishing out wine and is off to watch the musical acts!
Harold's Café
Susan's return and mediation hasn't worked, she's had further emails about kids being pulled out of school. "Doesn't this woman have anything better to do," bemoans Elly and is of the mindset now that she will have to resign, as much as Susan doesn't want that to happen.
Their chat is interrupted when Kirsha and Lacy (Angela's daughter) arrive to show them the petition to keep Elly at the school! "This is incredibly thoughtful," Elly declares after seeing the 100 signatures the pair have gotten so far. Susan admires what the girls have done but doesn't think it will make Lacy's mum back down. "I'll make sure it does," the lass replies confidently back to Susan.
Number 28
Bea is surprised to see Yashvi at the door and even more so when she volunteers to be the one to intimate Alfie! Her service is in vain though as Bea is going to pay Alfie off by giving him Finn's glasses!
Live @ Lassiters
Hot footing it from Belladrum is Jess Glynne, entertaining the crowd with I'll be there.
The Waterhole
Alfie thinks Bea is tricking him when she presents the deal to him, but after she literally begs him (as well as giving him the glasses) the deal is accepted!
Live @ Lassiters
Next up is Dune Rats to entertain the crowd with No Plans.
Harold's Café
Just as she is about to leave the café, Elly runs into Angela who has come to collect her daughter (who looks decidedly unimpressed to see her mum!) Angela reveals she's given into Lacy's demand to stay at Erinsborough High and on the back of the petition, she's going to stop the fearmongering. She doesn't leave without issuing a warning though that she will be keeping a close eye on Elly!
ANGELA: One whiff of any more inappropriate conduct and I'll report you to the department.
Elly is happy to abide by those 'conditions' and even encourages Angela to keep her promise! Once Angela and Lacy leave, Elly hopes that on the back of what they've just heard, the kids won't get withdrawn from the school. Kirsha is literally the hero of the hour for her role in what has happened.
The Waterhole
To an intimate gathering, Jess Glynne performs an acoustic rendition of 'Thursday' in the bar and receives raucous applause when she finishes.
When she finishes, Paul goes up to personally thank her for her performances today and does his best to stop her chatting to Bea, so he can take Jess to the mezzanine for a drink and try to flog her a property! Paul's reputation obviously goes before him as Jess turns down the drink opportunity with him in favour of having one with Bea instead!
Live @ Lassiters
Back on the main set, the Dune Rats continue to entertain the crowd with 'No plans.'
Chloe looks to be enjoying their set as she boogies away, and after watching for a few seconds, Elly heads over to where she is standing. She is happy to report that the school woes look like they've been sorted and has an answer to Chloe's earlier question too - she will go on a date with Chloe. Cue happy face (and hugs) from Chloe but sad face from Pierce who watches on unseen by the pair.
Meanwhile, over at the wine station, Yashvi is very peeved to see that Alfie has gone back on his deal with Bea and plans to break into #28 today and to live stream it! Ned tells her to go to the police, but she thinks that will play into Alfie's hands as it means Finn gets into trouble. She wants to help sort things out, as she feels guilty it all started because of her tour, and Ned literally begs her to "leave it to someone else." And as soon as his back is turned, she grabs her jacket and takes off, thus missing Dune Rats perform 'Demolition Derby.'
Back at the main stage, Bea is on a high after her drink with Jess Glynne (which Karl is very jealous of) as they push through the crowd to meet up with Toadie and Finn who's pitch to Dune Rats was successful. "They loved everything about it," a delirious Toadie yells to them while Finn is still in shock at the news - they're donating $10,000 and are going to see if the record label will double it!
Number 28
Yashvi arrives at #28 where the front door is ajar, and we can hear that someone is ransacking the bedrooms. She looks for something to arm herself with (eventually choosing Karl's guitar!) and stands ready and waiting for them to come into the livingroom. When she hears them approaching, she swings the guitar at them... only it is not Alfie she's hit but Susan who is now lying unconscious on the floor!!!
