- Finn asks Toadie if he needs any help at the foundation.
- Toadie tells Finn that some adult literacy classes are starting next week.
- Ned hugs Terese after receiving a lenient punishment of 240 hours community service.
- Heather tells Andrea she'll help her get rid of Ian.
- Andrea tells Heather that she found a file on 'Karen' at Toadie's.
- Heather asks Andrea where 'Karen' really is, knowing that Ian told her. Andrea replies that she can't tell her.
- Andrea deliberately knocks the 'Karen' file off the shelf.
- Toadie demands answers from Shane and Dipi.
Number 30
Dipi jumps in, telling Toadie not to be angry with Shane as it was all her doing. Toadie replies that she knows how he felt and that he wanted to just move on.
DIPI: What if this is your only chance?
TOADIE: Are you gonna keep pushing this, Dipi?
Toadie storms out.
DIPI: I didn't expect him to get so angry.
ANDREA: I might just go and see if he's ok.
Number 28
Finn and Bea are in the living room. He's fussing over what shirt to wear to the adult literacy class that he's teaching for the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation. Bea points out that he could do it blind-folded given all the experience he has, but he replies that he obviously can't remember any of it. She reassures him, saying that Toadie wouldn't have involved him if he didn't want to. Susan walks in.
SUSAN: I just had a text from Elly.
BEA: (sighs) What has mum done now?
SUSAN: No, surprisingly she's behaving herself. She says she's enjoying Sydney.
Susan hands Finn a tie, telling him Karl has more ties than underpants. He looks tense and she tells him to try and relax.
SUSAN: You have the makings of a great teacher, you're gonna be fine.
BEA: See, we can't both be wrong. (laughs)
The Waterhole
Sheila asks Toadie and Andrea if they want to order anything and Andrea just asks for a water. Andrea tells Toadie to take it easy on Dipi.
TOADIE: All she sees is the fantasy of Dee coming back into my life and everything being wonderful.
ANDREA: Yeah, totally, I mean Dee could have come back at any time, she's been gone for years. And it's not like you've been living under a rock.
There's an awkward silence as Toadie clearly thinks about Sonya. They both head off to Andrea's session with Beverly. Sheila rolls her eyes.
Number 30
Dipi tells Shane that he could have backed her up a bit more when Toadie confronted her. He replies that he didn't agree with what she did, but she sticks by it, saying it was the right thing to do.
SHANE: Dipika, please.
DIPI: Don't Dipika me. Andrea is weasling her way back into Toadie's life and everyone's just standing around doing nothing about it.
SHANE: I'm worried about what she's doing too.
DIPI: Well you've got a funny way of showing it.
SHANE: By respecting what my brother wants?
DIPI: He's grieving and Andrea is using that to her advantage.
Dipi insists that she can't watch Andrea ruin Toadie's life again and as the debate gets heated, Kirsha walks in.
Lassiters Complex
Ned arrives for community service to be greeted by Mark.
NED: Since when do you supervise community service?
MARK: The parole officer's sick. Someone had to help out and when I heard you'd be here I thought 'this could be fun!'
Mark starts to give instructions to everyone, telling them to sort through the charity bins and decide what to keep and what to throw away. Ned opens a bin bag and to his surprise there's a dirty nappy inside.
NED: There's a dirty nappy in here.
MARK: Then you can be glad you've got gloves. Have fun!
Yashvi approaches as Mark leaves.
YASHVI: How's it going, Marie Kondo?
NED: Who?
YASHVI: Are you serious?
She asks what the stench is and he replies that someone left him a 'welcome to community service' present. He comments on how boring the whole thing's going to be.
YASHVI: It's alright, you've only got like 239 hours and 55 minutes to go, right? (laughs)
He grins at her.
Lassiters Hotel
As she makes a phone call, Andrea pokes her head out of the door; presumably to check that the coast is clear to speak to her mother in secret.
ANDREA: Hey, mum. Turns out it was Dipi trying to wreck everything!
HEATHER: Ha, well of course it was! Always been way too nosy for her own good, that one! (grunts)
She swigs a glass of bubbly.
ANDREA: Yeah, I know, it's sorted out now. Oh you should've seen Toadie shut her down, bang!
HEATHER: Really? What did he say?
ANDREA: Oh I can't really go into it now, he's downstairs bringing up the hypnosis shrink.
HEATHER: I suppose you're gonna fake another childhood memory, are you?
ANDREA: Well, that's the plan!
HEATHER: Well, as long as you don't make it about me this time.
She swigs the remnants of her glass of wine. Someone knocks at the door.
HEATHER: I've gotta go, let me know how you go.
ANDREA: Mum...?
Heather takes off her shiny black robe to reveal a catsuit underneath. She puts on cat ears and dots her nose with some lipstick. She makes a purring gesture as she goes to answer the door.
Lassiters Hotel
Andrea hears a knock at the door. It's Toadie and Beverly. He introduces Andrea to Beverly who asks how she's been feeling recently.
TOADIE: The last few sessions have been a bit rough for her.
ANDREA: I uncovered some difficult memories.
BEVERLY: Ah well, we can talk about what to do with those as and when they come up. Shall we get started?
ANDREA: Yeah. Can Toadie stay?
BEVERLY: Is that ok with you?
ANDREA: Yeah, that would make me feel better.
BEVERLY: Then it shouldn't be a problem. This may be a little different to what you've experienced before.
ANDREA: Yeah, how's that?
BEVERLY: Well, memory and the brain. It is my area of expertise. I might be able to uncover areas of the unconscious that Dr Kennedy couldn't.
Andrea looks unnerved by Beverly's words.
ANDREA: (nervously laughs) Ok, let's hope you can find something.
Harold's Café
Susan pays for something in Harold's as Willow and Yashvi walk in. Yashvi apologises to Willow for her mum's behaviour. Susan greets the girls and asks Willow how she's settling back in.
WILLOW: Pretty good actually.
YASHVI: Yeah, now that we're on school holidays, wait till we get back.
Susan says there will be a bit of work to catch up on as it is Willow's final year but Willow seems pretty confident. Susan asks what she's going to do for her business studies project but she replies that she's not sure yet. Yashvi asks Susan if they can work on it as a pair and Susan replies that it should be fine as long as they can show that they both contributed. Susan heads off.
YASHVI: Well, what shall we do?
WILLOW: I don't know, most of my ideas are pretty terrible.
YASHVI: What? You're supposed to be the smart one, that's why I wanted to partner up with you.
WILLOW: Maybe we should brain-storm together.
YASHVI: Ugh.
Lassiters Complex
Ned and Bea enter the complex, surprised to see Ned. They awkwardly glance at each other before Mark shows up, asking what Finn is doing there. He replies that he's teaching an adult literacy class for the Foundation and Ned remarks that he's surprised Toadie would agree to that.
FINN: No more surprising than you being allowed back here after the gas poisoning.
NED: Well I'm here because I'm paying for what I did. Which is actually more than I can say for you.
MARK: Alright, that's enough!
Mark tells Ned to get back to work as he's not even half way through the pile of bags he has to sort yet. Finn nervously enters the community centre, accompanied by Bea.
Lassiters Hotel
Beverly and Andrea have started the hypnosis session.
BEVERLY: Let the sound of my voice drift over you as you relax and bring yourself back to a safe place from your childhood. What do you see?
ANDREA: I'm in a room.
BEVERLY: Can you describe it?
ANDREA: It's small, there's toys all over the floor. I'm in my bedroom.
She begins to sob.
ANDREA: I've gotta clean up. I've gotta clean up this mess, mummy's gonna be mad. She's gonna put me in the cupboard.
BEVERLY: Just relax, go deeper. All the way down into the memories of your childhood.
ANDREA: No!
BEVERLY: The deeper you breathe, the calmer you feel. Just relax. Letting go of all tension in the body. Deeper and deeper. Let my voice be the only thing you hear. As it guides you into another memory. Where are you now?
ANDREA: Slide. Swings. I'm in the school playground. Friends are there, just you know, playing.
BEVERLY: Is your mother there?
ANDREA: No. Someone else though. It's a woman, standing by the fence, she wants to talk to me.
BEVERLY: Do you know who she is?
ANDREA: Red hair. She's asking about mum, wants to know if mum is taking care of me.
The Waterhole
Dipi and Kirsha enter The Waterhole. Dipi tells Kirsha she can have anything she wants, but she asks if Dipi's just feeling guilty for being caught fighting with Shane.
DIPI: We weren't fighting, we were discussing, ok? But if you want me to change my mind, I will.
Kirsha heads off to the bar and Sheila asks what that was all about.
DIPI: Andrea. She accidentally found this file I was keeping looking for Dee. Toadie was there and it just, it blew up.
SHEILA: Well nothing that woman does is by accident.
DIPI: She acted embarrassed about causing a scene but I think she was thrilled.
SHEILA: She was in here with Toadie earlier, and she was telling him to go easy on you. Sounded really fake.
DIPI: I'm sure it was. It's just another example of her drawing him in.
Shane catches the tail end of the conversation, causing disagreement between the pair again.
KIRSHA: Just stop! Uncle Toadie's told you to drop it and respect what he wants, so just drop it!
SHANE: I'm with Kirsha.
DIPI: Ok, I'll drop it.
Dipi rolls her eyes and looks reluctant to drop it.
Lassiters Hotel
BEVERLY: What's the red-headed lady wearing, Andrea? Can you see that?
ANDREA: Big, grown-up clothes. I wanna play with my friends.
BEVERLY: Focus on the lady, Andrea. Can you tell me any more about her?
There's silence for a moment.
BEVERLY: (to Toadie) I think that's all we're gonna get from her for now.
Beverly instructs Andrea to wake up on the count of three. She wakes up. Following a pause, she asks what happened.
ANDREA: What did I say?
Community Centre
Finn is droning on about why he loves books so much, seemingly failing to engage his audience. Someone gets up to leave.
FINN: Sorry, where are you going?
ALEESHA: This isn't what I thought it was going to be.
Finn tries to persuade her to stay but she says she's not interested in Shakespeare and only wanted to learn the basics. Bea jumps to Finn's defence, saying that it's the first class he's taught for a while and to give him a chance. She says that Finn helped her with her dyslexia and applying for her mechanics apprenticeship. Aleesha is eventually convinced to stay. Ned looks through the window, witnessing Team Finn & Bea, and looks suitably unimpressed.
Lassiters Hotel
Andrea exits the bathroom, having been crying and looks extremely shaken up.
ANDREA: Mum, call me when you get this, yeah? The hypnosis doctor, she knew what she was doing, I tried to fake it, but I went under for real and this stuff came up from when I was young. (sobs) I can't make sense of it so, can you give me a call.
She takes a sharp intake of breath as there's a knock at the door. It's Toadie. She thanks him for staying for the session.
TOADIE: Do you know who this red-headed woman is?
Andrea shakes her head.
TOADIE: Is she a friend of your mums or someone she could still be in contact with?
ANDREA: I don't know.
TOADIE: Right, cause if it could lead us to your mum then we really need to know.
ANDREA: Yeah well right now I just can't get my head straight.
TOADIE: Yeah, you're right, ok. It's an old memory you're processing, I shouldn't push it.
ANDREA: No, I understand why you would.
Toadie leaves her in peace and she immediately looks distressed again.
Lassiters Lake
Willow and Yashvi discuss ideas for their business studies assignment. Yashvi suggests a service which analyses the weaknesses of footballers but Willow jokes that it just sounds like an excuse to watch football for the rest of the holidays. She suggests talking to people who own real businesses to get some ideas, like Toadie or Dipi.
YASHVI: Ok, firstly, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to Toadie and mum talk about business. That's it, there's no secondly.
WILLOW: Ok, well, we've gotta start somewhere.
YASHVI: I know exactly who we could talk to.
Willow looks doubtful.
Number 30
Toadie arrives home, accompanied by Andrea. She wants a cuddle with Hugo but Dipi says he's asleep. Andrea apologises to Dipi who replies that it should actually be her apologizing. Dipi promises to stop the search for Dee. Toadie thanks her and walks into the kitchen. Dipi throws a knowing look towards Andrea who responds with a fake smile.
Community Centre
Finn and Bea exit, having turned around the fortunes of his teaching session. He tells her that he didn't realise how much of a big deal it was when he tutored her.
BEA: Yeah, it was. You really helped me.
A van goes by as Willow and Yashvi approach Ned, who is still in the midst of his community service duties. Yashvi asks him for advice on their business studies idea, saying she thought of him because he owned a tattoo parlour business.
NED: Yeah, till it went under.
YASHVI: And you run the graffiti tours at Lassiters.
NED: Yeah, but that's not really my business, I'm just the tour guide.
YASHVI: (hesitates) Well, it's actually perfect for us because we were thinking of running our own tour thing too. So we'd love your insight.
Willow follows Yashvi's lead. Yashvi offers to buy him a drink and he reluctantly agrees.
Heather's Place
Andrea struggles to unlock the door with a massive bag of groceries in her arms.
ANDREA: Mum, can you let me in?
HEATHER: What do you want?
ANDREA: What's that supposed to mean? Let me in, we need to talk.
HEATHER: No, you can't come in.
ANDREA: Why?
HEATHER: Because...the place is a mess.
Andrea shoves her mum out of the way and is suddenly confronted by Ian who is naked on the bed. He pulls the bed covers over him. Andrea looks shocked.
Coming up on Neighbours
