- Kyle pervs on Amy.
- Amy tells Kyle and Gary to grow up or they'll get the sack.
- Karl advises Liz to show her daughters that she's there for them. Liz offers to buy the house around the corner. Bea says if Liz moves in, she'll move out.
- Chloe hears Ebony telling someone she loves them on the phone. Chloe confronts Ebony who reveals she was talking to her sister.
- Chloe finds out Ebony is stealing money from Pierce. She asks who she's paying off.
Chloe continues to question Ebony, who threatens to call the police. Ebony claims the money is all for her new business. Chloe is about to call Pierce, when Ebony stops her. Ebony admits she's right. She has been taking money from Pierce, but she's doing it for her sister.
Number 28 Back Yard
Susan tells Bea, Elly and Finn that she just got a text from Liz, she's on her way home from a meditation retreat and thought she'd drop in to say hi. She's in a taxi from the airport as they speak. Bea is looking forward to lectures about breaking up with Ned. Elly says she's a single mum who just got knocked up by a stranger, Liz is going to have a field day with her. Susan says Liz was very supportive during her MS trial so they should give Liz a chance.
Gary and Kyle sit far apart at separate doors on the tram, not talking, when Amy joins them. Kyle and Amy start taking shots at throwing rubbish into a box, while Gary looks on glumly. Gary notes that Amy and Kyle got a lot done while he was away, Kyle says its because they've worked together before. Amy tells them they need to do the roof next, and Kyle and Gary start arguing between themselves about who should put the scaffolding up. Gary insists he does it, even though Kyle has experience of doing it. Kyle offers to show him a few tricks, but Gary says he's got it. Kyle goes to find something else to do.
Ebony explains her sister had a deadbeat ex, then found a new guy who cleared out her bank account and took off. Now she's a single mum with three kids under 5, no job and the rent is due. Chloe wonders why she didn't tell Pierce. Ebony says she lied about her family and who she really was, she was scared he wouldn't look at her if he knew where she came from. She pretended she went to a good school, was an only child and was from a nice home.
Chloe accuses her of using Pierce for his money. Ebony says in the beginning it was about what Pierce could do for her, but since then she's realised Pierce is the most amazing person in the world and she wants to be his wife. Chloe thinks the expense account is an incentive, Ebony says Chloe ought to know as she let Pierce pay off all her debts. Chloe says Ebony is stealing from Pierce and lying to him. Chloe thinks Pierce deserves more than this. Ebony says she makes Pierce happy and it will break his heart to hear this. Ebony swears she won't take another cent off Pierce, she'll find another way to pay her sister, but she begs Chloe not to tell Pierce.
Number 28 Back Yard
Liz welcomes Bea and Elly with a hug. Liz tells Bea that she's downloaded her song and can't stop listening to it, she's so proud. She tells Elly she's been so sick with worry about her, and wonders how she's been coping. Elly says things are settling down. Liz coldly says hi to Finn, telling him they've met before when he was dating Elly in Sydney.
ELLY: You know what, I have to leave. Sorry, I didn't know you were coming and I told a friend I'd meet them.
LIZ: Someone more important than your own mother?!
Liz says that she wanted to ask her something, it won't be easy seeing Mark across the street in 'all his manliness', but offers for her to come back to Sydney with her for a few weeks. Liz says there are no strings, she would just like to take care of her.
Chloe tells Mark that she got Ebony to admit to taking money from Pierce, and fills Mark in on the story with the sister. Chloe doesn't think she can tell Pierce. Mark says they're about to get married, and they have no chance if it's built on a lie.
Gary is looking through the equipment to build the scaffolding. Amy tells Gary and Kyle to play nice while she's gone. Kyle tells Gary he has to make sure the base is level before building it. Gary claims he's got it, it's just like Meccano for grownups. As Kyle walks off, Amy looks concerned.
Number 28 Back Yard
Liz finds Finn watering the plants in the greenhouse. Liz cuts to the chase, she doesn't know why Susan invited him into her home but she sees him and sees what he is doing.
LIZ: I'm not interested in the little boy lost routine, you've got everyone fooled, but you were born evil, it's always going to be in there. I want you to know that if you ever do anything to hurt my girls again, I will find a way of making you pay for it.
FINN: You have every right to hate me, I get that, but I'm doing my best to make amends here.
LIZ: Oh, so earnest. No wonder Susan's such a believer. Poor little broken Finn, so sad, let's all forget what a psychopath he is!
Bea and Susan have appeared behind Liz, while Finn looks visibly upset.
The Waterhole Exterior
Elly is chatting with Amy about Liz's offer. Elly doesn't think one on one time with her mum is a good idea. Sheila brings them some drinks, and asks Amy how the men are getting on at the tram. Amy says there is still a lot of chest beating going on. Sheila offers to go down later and bash their heads together. Sheila leaves to serve other tables.
AMY: It's exhausting being the only adult in the sandpit.
Amy says Gary refuses help and Kyle isn't much better. Elly asks if there is something still between her and Kyle. Amy insists absolutely not, but doesn't look too convincing while she takes a large sip of wine. Elly remembers how devastated Amy was when Kyle left. Kyle broke her heart, but Gary is supportive and makes her feel strong, that's why she loves him and not Kyle. She takes another large sip of wine.
Number 28 Back Yard
Susan tells Liz that they doubted Finn at the beginning, but Finn has earned their trust.
LIZ: He tried to ruin both my daughters' lives, he poisoned you, he's a predator and it's madness to have him in your home!
Finn goes to take some dishes inside, when Liz tells him he needs to listen to this. Bea yells at Liz for shouting nasty insults, she doesn't know him or what he's been through. Liz is surprised Bea is Finn's protector, no wonder Ned's no longer on the scene. Bea tells Liz to shut up and walks away.
SUSAN: As usual, you are completely off the mark, but that hasn't stopped you wading in before, has it?
LIZ: This is not about me Susan! This is about you and Karl allowing yourselves to be sucked in by a master manipulator!
SUSAN: Well it takes one to know one! Or have you forgotten you accused Finn of attacking you so that you could play the victim?!
LIZ: Well, yeah, alright, I'm not proud of that!
LIZ: But it doesn't mean I'm wrong on this! Just because he doesn't remember doesn't mean he's innocent.
SUSAN: No, no, no, I don't have to justify my decision to you! Finn is a guest in my home, if you can't respect that, this is going to be a very short visit!
Gary struggles to tighten some of the brackets on the scaffolding, yelling angrily at it. Kyle passes Gary a high vis vest and a hardhat. Gary says he doesn't need it, Kyle insists it's for health and safety. Amy arrives and checks that they're getting along, they claim they are. Amy leaves to get a quote done. Kyle offers to help Gary, and Gary finally lets him. Kyle gives some advice, and Gary thanks him.
Chloe asks Pierce if she can have a word with him. He asks her advice about what Ebony would like for a wedding band, excitedly looking at the different options. Chloe realises Pierce really loves Ebony. He tells her he wouldn't be marrying Ebony if he had any doubts, she gets him and he gets her. Pierce asks if Chloe wanted anything, and she pretends she wondered if he needed the conference room. Ebony arrives and looks freaked when she sees them together, but walks over to join them. Pierce says he and Chloe were discussing secret wedding business. Ebony and Pierce kiss.
Bea apologises to Finn. Finn says he has done everything Liz said, but Bea says Liz hasn't been here. He thinks both their mums have a lot in common. Finn says he's lucky to have Bea.
Mark and Elly run into each other. Elly tells him about Liz's offer to stay with her for a few weeks. Mark scoffs at the idea, then realises its none of his business and she can do what she wants, before he leaves.
Sheila and Amy join Gary, very impressed to see that Gary has put up the scaffolding all by himself. Kyle tells them he helped Gary get started but Gary wouldn't let him near the thing after that. He insists they've been getting along, and he hasn't been micromanaging, just being nice. Sheila is pleased that things are getting done.
Number 28 Back Yard
Susan and Liz sit in silence, Susan offers Liz another cup of tea.
LIZ: Look if you want me gone, I can take a taxi, we don't have to play pretend over tea and biscuits you know.
Susan says they're sisters, they're not always going to see eye to eye, but it doesn't mean she doesn't want to spend time with her. Elly returns. Liz tells Elly she hasn't been the best mother, she's made many mistakes, she made one just now with Finn, but its really upset Bea and she feels terrible about it.
LIZ: Which is why, if you decide to come to stay with me, I promise to be on my very, very best behaviour, no judging, no pestering.
ELLY: Is that even possible?
LIZ: I just want to give you a pause from everything that's been going on with you here, that's all.
Elly agrees to stay with her. Liz is delighted.
Ebony asks Chloe why she didn't tell Pierce. Chloe doesn't want to hurt Pierce. Ebony apologises for how she's treated her. She hasn't been fair but its just because she felt threatened. Chloe says she doesn't have anything to worry about her, but she does have to tell Pierce about her family at some point, otherwise it will undermine the whole marriage. Ebony promises she will.
Mark and Chloe sit down for a drink, Mark wonders how Pierce took the news. Just then Pierce and Ebony arrive to tell them the good news, they've just bought a house together and are moving in next week. They go to the bar to get a bottle. Mark works out that Chloe didn't tell Pierce. Chloe says Pierce loves Ebony, but Mark thinks she's still lying to him. Chloe thinks Ebony will do the right thing, and she just wants Pierce to be happy.
Kyle asks Gary if he did a final check of the scaffolding, Gary accuses Kyle of trying to control everything. They start bickering again, Gary is pleased Kyle didn't take his shirt off to treat Amy to the gun show for the first time this week. Kyle calls Gary paranoid. They bicker about the help Kyle gave Gary earlier, Gary starts patronising Kyle about how to put sealant on the roof. As Kyle climbs to the roof one of the brackets on the scaffolding comes loose. As Gary packs up, the scaffolding starts to collapse and Kyle falls from the top of it, his helmet flying off before he hits his head on the ground.
