- Finn getting Elly's ultrasound photo out of Dean's possession.
- Finn asking Elly if she is pregnant with Shaun's child?
Number 24
Rather than answer the question, Elly is more concerned over how Finn got hold of the scan, so he explains how but confirms he didn't speak to Dean. This makes Finn now more curious and she tries to close the door on him, telling him to "go away." He blocks her from doing that, to get the answers he is after.
FINN: I need to know if that baby is his. I don't want to upset you, but if you don't tell me, I'm gonna to have to ask him.
ELLY: No, no, no. No, you don't have to do that. (pause) Shaun's the father.
Number 30
Shane and Toadie run through what needs to be finalised ahead of the foundation launch tomorrow. Toadie has completed his speech and admits he isn't nervous, just looking "forward to telling another group of people just how amazing Sonya was."
Toadie also confirms that he has spoken to Nell about handling her first Mother's Day since Sonya's passing and we hear on the whole the little lass is handling things well.
Number 24
Elly wants to know what Finn plans on doing with the information, like blackmailing her and he replies no, because he is going to be an uncle plus owes his freedom to her. She brings his euphoria down a notch though when she reveals exactly why he isn't locked up. He is though grateful not to be locked up and to repay her wants to take care of Dean. Elly stops him from doing that, she knows she's reached the end-point of where she now needs to tell Mark.
FINN: And then, what?
ELLY: And then, my marriage will be over.
FINN: Is that what you want?
ELLY: No. No, but Mark's going to lose another child because of me.
FINN: Is there anything I can do?
ELLY: Can you just give me time to tell Mark in my own way?
Number 22
Ned is surprised to come home to see the house covered in fairy lights - since everyone else is out for the night its Bea's way of trying to recreate her favourite memory of their first kiss. She apologises for not telling him about Finn but acknowledges how he feels about him. Ned's rationale is that if she doesn't tell him then he can't protect her, thus making him feel on edge. Henceforth, she promises not to withhold anything from him, however Ned is finding it hard to forget the past. Trying to reach a compromise, he agrees to her request to at least try and forget Finn, focusing instead on them.
Number 24
Elly sits waiting for Mark to get home and when he does, she is set to spill the beans... until he presents her with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate their 2 month anniversary! He explains that they've been through so much in the past 2 months, that he feels the need to celebrate.
ELLY: Our wedding was a disaster, we didn't speak for 2 weeks.
MARK: I know, and I'll always regret how close I came to giving up on us. But look, I just, I want you to know how grateful I am that you didn't let me make the worst mistake of my life, so, thank you.
Mark also has something else for her - a locket with his picture on one side and space on the other where a picture of the baby will go, "that way you can have both of us close to your heart," he explains.
Elly remains silent and Mark wonders if he's been "too cheesy," with the pressie. "No, I love it. I love you," she eventually says and puts her reaction down to hormones, which has him the heading to the kitchen to put the kettle on for a ginger tea.
Number 22
Ned gets up to see who has knocked on the door but rather than finding someone there, he finds instead an envelope with his name on it, lying on the mat instead. Inside is a note saying:
Meet me in The Greenway at 8am tomorrow. We need to talk about Finn Kelly
Number 30 (next day)
Toadie runs through what he plans to say at the launch as he gets Nell ready.
TOADIE: What do you think?
NELL: I like when you talk about mummy.
TOADIE: So do I.
Number 22
Ned is surprised to see Bea up already as he makes his way down the stairs. Bea explains promised Terese she'd clear up (she's taking the fairy lights down) before meeting Toadie down by the lake at 8am still needs to go home and get showered and changed first. Ned feigns an excuse not to go with her and she rushes home to get ready as its around 7.45am.
With her gone, Ned retrieves the note from his pocket and looks at it before rushing out the door.
Number 28
Susan warns Finn about not over-doing things as his body heals while waiting for her nieces, so they can go to help Toadie set up. Elly arrives to tell her aunt that she can't come because she is feeling nauseous and Bea is told she'll need to make her own way there as Susan can't wait 10 minutes for her to shower.
Elly hangs back on the pretence of having a glass of water but really, it's so she can tell Finn that she didn't manage to speak to Mark. Finn reiterates that he (and Shaun) will keep her secret and promises to do what is necessary to protect them both since they are part of his family now.
Number 26
Mark stops by to give Sheila some flowers as a thank you for what she is doing for the launch (she's giving a talk on ovarian cancer). In return she gives him some freshly backed muffins for morning tea and admits to feeling nervous ahead of her talk. Mark does his best to reassure her she will be fine and wishes he could be there to see her present.
Lassiters Park
Looks like someone forgot to tell the council about the launch as the lake area is closed off for tree felling! Sheila asks what 'Plan B' is instead?
Harold's café/Outside the Community Centre
Bea checks in with Ned to see how the housework is going (good) as she grabs a quick coffee. Ned isn't at home though, he's outside the Community Centre and subtly in the call asks if anyone is going to need anything from there today (no) but plans to stop by just in case someone does need something.
Community Centre
We then see someone (we don't see who it is as they've got protective equipment on) come into the Community Centre and unzip a backpack. After affixing a respirator to their face, they then decant an unknown powder into two metal cylinders before adding an unknown liquid too.
The mystery person then carries one of the cylinders and places it into the air vent inside the foundation office and the other cylinder in another air vent elsewhere in the building. They then adjust the air con to 30C.
Number 24
The aptly named 'Clean up this mess' plays as Elly stands looking at Caitlin's ultrasound scan pinned to the fridge and then looking at the locket Mark gave her. From her pocket she then retrieves her own ultrasound scan and stands debating looking at both before picking up a pair of scissors to cut her own scan picture up. However, she can't do it and throws the scissors away. Seconds later she receives a text from Finn saying not to worry about Dean hassling her, he's taken care of it.
Lassiters Park
Shane suggests relocating to the nursery but Toadie is very reluctant to do and instead suggest the Community Centre. Everyone agrees with the new location and they begin to relocate everything and let folk now via their event page about the new venue. Shane volunteers to take Hugo and re-directing folk that haven't read the message on social media to allow Toadie and Nell to help out.
Outside the Community Centre
Everyone (Toadie, Bea, Susan, Sheila, Nell and the silent extras) muck in to get the Community Centre ready.
Susan comes back out after putting her (and Bea's) bag inside and complains of having a headache. While hoping it goes away as quickly as it came, Bea and Susan head off none the less to get some paracetamol.
Brenda arrives to lend a willing hand and she, along with Sheila and Nell head inside without knowing what is being circulated through the air vents.
Lassiters Park
Ned is on the phone calling in to the police about someone looking suss carrying chemical canisters that they should get someone to check out.
"About turn buddy," Shane tells Ned as he heads for the lake and finds it barricaded off. "Where is everyone?" Ned asks so Shane explains what happened and that everyone is now down at the Community Centre. Ned is puzzled as he checked with Bea and nobody was supposed to be there. "Don't know what to tell you," is his reply but he adds that everyone went up ages ago to set up. "I'll see you up there," Ned replies before walking away looking rather worried!
Police station
"We're not taking any risks," Mark tells his colleagues after the station has been notified about the tip-off dispatch received. The trio of officers then exit the station with Mark carrying a set of breathing apparatus.
Outside the Community Centre
Toadie (and Susan) keep back the crowd... well all 3 of them as the volunteer's rush to finish setting up.
Susan comments that Sonya would be very proud of her husband today, but any more chat is quickly curtailed as the last lot of volunteers to enter rush out either being sick or ready to be sick!
SUSAN: Oh, what's happening?
TOADIE: I don't know.
Eventually Sheila is amongst the volunteers that straggle out but before she can answer their questions about what is happening, she collapses right in front of them! Brenda eventually manages to tell Toadie to call an ambulance because something isn't right. His immediate concern though is where Nell is and rushes into the building shouting her name out.
Ned comes across what is happening and looks shocked to see loads of folk lying on the ground, quite a number of whom are unconscious.
