- Aaron tells David he's going to take the test.
- Chloe announces to everyone in The Waterhole that she has Huntington's Disease.
- Chloe tells Elly that she loves her.
- Toadie looks at a file which says Andrea's mother is dead. Alice looks pleased in the background.
- Toadie says they'd better call Willow to let her know.
- David tells Toadie that the toxicology report reveals there were traces of opiates in Sonya's system.
- Toadie tells Susan he thinks Sonya's on a bender.
- Cars drive past the area where Sonya's been left in the woods.
Toadie calls Sonya pleading her to make contact, saying that they can work through her problems. Alice watches uncomfortably. Toadie leaves a voicemail, then confides in Alice about how unlike Sonya this is.
TOADIE: When Sonya had the blood test done, she would have known what would show up in the results.
Alice says that Sonya might have been really out of it. He doesn't think things add up, asking Alice if she can look after the kids tonight so he can go and check out Sonya's old hang- outs.
ALICE: I'd do anything for you, Jarrod. (looking uncomfortable)
Ned and Bea google Huntington's Disease, finding out there is no cure. Bea says it explains why Mark went off at her the other day, but at least he's in the clear. Elly returns, saying that Chloe's passed out in bed now. She plucks up the courage to ask Bea to be her Maid of Honor but the response is less than encouraging.
BEA: Thank you but can I think about it?
ELLY: (disappointed) Yeah, sure.
Toadie tells Mark that he and Shane searched all night for Sonya to no avail. Mark says he has a mate in the drug squad who might be able to help locate her. Toadie seems in disbelief that they have to go this far but concedes that it might be a good idea. As Mark leaves, Toadie looks at his phone, remembering that Willow is flying in today to celebrate finishing her exams. Shane agrees to go and pick her up.
Willow arrives to be greeted by an excited Nell. She sees Hugo and can't believe how big he's getting! Toadie looks pleased to see her but apologizes about her grandmother.
WILLOW: I always thought she'd turn up with some crazy story, she was a bit out there.
Willow admits that she's more worried about her mum, hoping this doesn't prove to be a set- back in her recovery.
WILLOW: They weren't close but they were alike in a lot of ways.
Willow asks when Sonya's getting back from her ‘work trip' and Toadie takes her aside to explain, while Shane distracts the kids. Toadie tells her that he thinks Sonya might have relapsed as he can't get in contact with her.
Mark ends a phone call, saying that he still hasn't heard back from his friend on the drug squad. Chloe ventures out of the bedroom looking a little worse for wear, joking that she needs painkillers.
CHLOE: Usually I love being a show pony, but last night I was a real ass.
She apologizes to Aaron for announcing in The Waterhole that he might have Huntington's too, but she admits that she's relieved everyone knows about her diagnosis. Elly arrives, greeting her fiancé with a kiss, prompting Chloe to go for a shower.
Alice arrives home with some ingredients for a special dinner to cheer up Toadie. He tells her that it completely slipped his mind but they've got a guest staying. He is interrupted by a phone call before getting a chance to tell her the guest is Willow. Alice exits to set up the spare room, while Toadie is told that a staff member at the nursery is off sick. After Willow comes in from the garden with Nell, Toadie tells her that he has to head to the nursery due to a sick employee, but Willow offers to fill in, saying she remembers how the place is run. Willow heads out to the car with Nell, before Alice walks in. Toadie tells her he's going to the nursery and she offers to look after Hugo.
Hoping to distract Aaron from his impending test results, Mark asks him if he'll be his Best Man. He looks honoured.
ELLY: There goes my plan, I was going to ask you to be my Bridesman of Honor!
Aaron suggests that she must have someone in mind, causing Elly to allude to her situation with a reluctant Bea.
Harold's Store (Exterior)
Bea admits that she is reluctant because her last experience with weddings was planning hers with ‘Patrick'. She doesn't want to freak out being so involved in Elly's wedding.
BEA: I don't want to ruin it for her.
Ned reassures her it'll be ok. Elly exits Harold's and Bea calls her over. Bea apologizes for the night before, saying she'd actually love to be Elly's Maid of Honor. They hug as Chloe awkwardly walks past in the distance.
Willow suggests filing a ‘Missing Persons' report but Toadie insists not to, saying things will be fine if they can just find Sonya. Willow hugs him in his time of need.
The Waterhole (Exterior)
Chloe sees Elly approaching and tries to leave, but Elly tells her not to go anywhere. As Elly sits down, she asks Chloe if she can remember telling her she loves her.
CHLOE: What? I did?! It must have been the bubbles. AKA love juice. I tell everyone I love them after a few glasses.
Elly doesn't seem to believe her but Chloe continues trying to convince her otherwise, eventually succeeding. Once that's over, Elly asks Chloe to be her bridesmaid. She's taken aback at first, but she sees how much it means to Elly so feels obliged to agree, putting on her best ‘excited' face, clearly masking her inner turmoil.
Alice is walking Hugo and notices Willow at the nursery in the distance. She attempts to sneak off, but Toadie sees and calls her over, hoping to introduce her to Willow. Alice looks desperately uncomfortable, clearly trying to think up a plan on the spot.
ALICE: Nanny Alice, yeah, but you can call me Alice. Hello Willow, such a pretty name. Jarrod's told me you'll be staying for a while, good chance to get to know each other.
Alice nods and grins wildly, clearly hoping to convince Willow not to reveal her true identity. Toadie has to rush back to the office, so asks Willow if she's ok to lock up. Willow looks dumbfounded, but agrees, while Alice insists on staying at the nursery to give Willow a hand. Toadie leaves with Hugo, before Willow demands to know what's going on.
ALICE: Shhhh, it's a secret. It's a very good secret.
WILLOW: Toadie said you were dead.
ALICE: Ugh, that's a minor detail.
WILLOW: Minor?! Does mum know? What are you doing here and why are you lying to Toadie?
ALICE: Your mum knows I'm here. And all the rest is about baby Hugo. Because when I found out that Toadie had taken him in, I needed to make sure that he was being looked after.
Willow berates Alice for her deception.
ALICE: They needed help. And I got to see my grandson, it's a win- win.
WILLOW: No, you need to tell Toadie the truth.
Alice refuses, saying there's no way Toadie would be accepting if he knew who she was. She then launches into a tirade against Sonya, calling her a nasty little addict. When she sees a customer, she goes off to help them, telling Willow they'll talk about it later.
Mark tells Chloe how happy he is that she's Elly's bridesmaid. He admits he's disappointed that Tyler won't be part of the big day, but says that he's glad that he gets to spend some valuable time with Chloe.
Aaron and David come from the bedroom, telling Mark and the others that they're going to collect Aaron's test results. Mark offers to go with them, but Aaron's happy to go just with David.
Willow asks whether Alice knows where Sonya is, but she jokingly says that she doesn't know where ‘nasty little addicts' hang out. Willow threatens to call Toadie.
ALICE: Listen. I want us to be a family. You, your mum, Hugo and me. You'd like that, wouldn't you?
WILLOW: I only ever wanted mum to get better.
ALICE: Yes, she is. And now we've re- connected over the one thing we all want.
WILLOW: And what is that?
ALICE: Your mum loves Toadie deeply. They deserve to be a family. A family we can all be a part of.
WILLOW: Toadie's married to Sonya, he's never gonna leave her.
Alice chews some gum rather aggressively while saying it can all be 'taken care of'. Willow looks shocked before Alice winks menacingly.
WILLOW: What have you done to Sonya?
Toadie tells Mark how worried he is about Sonya. Mark says he's heard back from his friend so might go for a drive and check some places where Sonya could be.
Willow decides to go along with Alice's plan in order to buy her some time. She says if the plan's going to work, they need to make sure Sonya's definitely out of the picture.
ALICE: I poisoned her with a particularly nasty pesticide. If she hasn't carked it by now, she certainly will!
Alice unwittingly mentions that she left Sonya near a road on the way to a delivery they were going to make. As Alice is distracted, Willow texts Toadie: ‘Sonya in danger, Alice'. Alice notices but is too late to stop the text sending.
ALICE: Willow! Oh you naughty girl!
Aaron and David psych themselves up to read the results. David looks at the paperwork before a short pause. The news isn't as bad as it could be; Aaron has the gene but he won't develop the disease. However, David explains that Aaron falls into a genetic grey area where any of his kids have a high likelihood of developing the disease.
AARON: That means I can't have kids.
He looks broken.
Alice has Willow by the scruff of the neck, seething with rage over her behavior. They argue about Sonya with Willow stating that Alice will go to prison for the rest of her life. Alice shoves Willow into a shed, locking her in, she then throws Willow's phone in a flower basket and makes a run for it.
