Cabin
Finn smiles and says he's so glad to see Bea, especially after he received her message from Miranda. Bea plays along to keep him happy and pretends that she's truly forgiven him for everything. Finn says that her being at the cabin was meant to be and they've got so much to catch up on.
Number 28
Susan is straightening the Kennedy kids portrait in the newly renovated lounge room when Elly arrives home. Talk soon turns to Bea - Susan's worried because her therapist called needing to reschedule but Bea hasn't been contactable. Elly admits that Bea had a "meltdown" on Piper's vlog earlier, and she also went to Sydney to visit Miranda the other day. Susan tries to ring Bea's mobile again but her phone's still off. The women become even more worried over Bea's whereabouts.
Number 30
Sonya apologises for asking Alice a favour on her day off, but she needs her to look after the kids while she goes to another AA meeting. Toadie's worried that Sonya needs an extra meeting, but Sonya says aside from a headache she's OK, she just needs to decompress. Alice says she's happy to mind the kids, but while Sonya's out of the room Alice expresses her 'concern' to Toadie.
ALICE: Gosh it must be horrible when you always feel like you're doing the wrong thing.
TOADIE: Sorry?
ALICE: Sonya going off to talk to someone else, that must be hard.
TOADIE: No it's not like that. AA is her safe place; this is good for her.
ALICE: Well she's safe with you.
TOADIE: Yeah, it's a different type of support.
Sonya returns with her bag and Toadie offers to walk her to the community centre on his way to work.
Number 22
Xanthe finishes watching Piper's vlog and congratulates her friend on how she's moving on. She's also glad Piper wasn't angry at her at spilling the pregnancy beans to Sheila, but Piper admits it was probably the push she needed to get the test done. Piper then tells Xanthe about Bea not coping with talking about Finn in her vlog entry, which concerns Xanthe. She asks Piper if she can see the interview with Bea.
Number 28/Cabin
Xanthe pops over to see Bea but when Susan and Elly tell her she's not home, Xanthe says she's really worried about her friend.
Bea tries to keep her cool while Finn makes them coffee. Finn's still surprised she's there because he thought everyone hated him, but Bea replies that her therapist helped her work out her issues. Finn asks Bea if he should be worried she's seeing a therapist.
Elly wonders if Bea's taken off to see Miranda in Sydney again but then Xanthe suggests she might be at the cabin since she mentioned it a lot in the vlog.
Bea says that her therapist helped her deal with how she felt about 'Patrick' versus how she felt about Finn. She tells Finn that she realised she still loved the Patrick version of him, even though she wasn't sure how real everything was. Finn asks if their relationship did feel real to her and Bea says that's one of the reasons she's at the cabin: she wanted to feel close to him again.
Susan decides that the three of them will drive to the cabin. She figures they'll only be gone a few hours at most, as she wants to be home when Karl gets back that afternoon.
Finn tells Bea that it means a lot she missed him because he's been thinking about her too. Bea says she's glad, but then has to think on her feet when Finn asks her to prove it to him. She takes a deep breath, leans in and kisses him.
Number 32 Backyard
Yashvi is outside playing basketball when Alice pops her head over the fence, giving her a heart attack. Alice asks if Yashvi would mind Nell and Hugo while she ducks down the shops for more shortbread ingredients. Yashvi gives her sass for a while as they argue over the going babysitting rate, and Alice doesn't hide her disdain much either, but they finally agree on $30 for half an hour.
Lassiters Complex/Community Centre
Alice nearly runs into Toadie and Piper as they walk by, but they're too busy talking about work matters to see her. Alice smirks and heads into the Community Centre to spy on Sonya. Alice hides around the corner while Sonya volunteers to speak first.
SONYA: Hi, I am Sonya and I'm an alcoholic. I've been sober for one year and five months now. This isn't my usual meeting but I thought I would come along. To be honest I thought I would try and tough it out, but I have been getting this tension headache and I've wanted to take a painkiller so badly. Just one. But I know that just one can trigger a relapse so I've stopped myself. There's been a lot going on in my life. My husband and I have been fighting a lot more than usual, which hasn't helped. But I'm going to keep coming to my meetings, I'm going to keep sharing, I'm going to try and get my head straight. My family mean the world to me. Thank you for listening.
Alice is certainly glad she's been listening as she's been given a lot of food for thought.
Cabin/Bushland
Bea and Finn are making out on the bed when Bea pulls back. She tells him she's nervous because it's been a while and asks to take things more slowly, but Finn acts wounded that she's not into it. He tries to force her into more action, but Bea pushes him away and says she needs the loo. This is where Finn snaps and shows his true colours, calling Bea "a filthy little liar". He takes a manila folder out of the bedroom drawer containing notes from Bea's therapy sessions and reads them aloud.
FINN: Bea reports that she feels nothing but revulsion when she thinks of Patrick/Finn now. She realises he was never a real person, just a force of hate and destruction.
BEA: Where did you get that?
FINN: Let's just say your therapist needs to upgrade her security. So many nasty words in here! So much hate!
BEA: I was just...
FINN: Just shut up! Do you know how it made me feel reading all that ugliness about me?
Finn grabs Bea as she attempts to run past him, but she manages to escape by kneeing him in the groin. This gives Bea a precious few moments to bolt out of the cabin and into the surrounding bushland. Finn dashes out and yells at her.
FINN: BEA! GET BACK HERE!
Bea sprints through the trees and finds a hiding place down an embankment. Finn gives chase and keeps yelling, but can't see her.
FINN: Might as well give up now because I'm going to catch you! Look, I know where your car's parked and there's only one way out of here. The longer you make me wait, the worse it's going to be!
Poor Bea tries to keep calm so he doesn't see or hear her.
Number 30
First Yashvi's annoyed because Alice took twice as long as she said she would, then she's confused when she notices Alice has no shopping bags. Alice pretends she forgot them at the checkout after a call from Toadie. Yashvi then makes Alice cough up an extra ten bucks on top of the thirty she was promised because she was late.
ALICE: Before you go, I would rather this stay between you and I. I don't want Jarrod or Sonya to know, OK?
YASHVI: Why? Didn't you say they wanted you to make shortbread?
ALICE: It's a secret, just like Batman and Robin.
YASHVI: Sure, not like I care.
Alice rolls her eyes at the impudent teen as Yashvi leaves.
Cabin
Susan, Elly and Xanthe arrive and tentatively enter the cabin. They saw Bea's car back where they parked so they figure she must be around somewhere. The girls find Bea's therapy files discarded on the floor and also her jacket, which has her phone and keys still inside a pocket. They get worried and decide to have a look around outside.
Bushland
Bea's still hiding down the embankment but decides to take her chances and make a run for it while things are quiet.
Number 30
Alice puts store-bought shortbread from a box onto a tray and pops them into the oven as if she's MasterChef'd them herself. Sonya comes home and Alice asks after her meeting, then says they "had a lovely visit from the girl next door" after she kicked her footy over the fence (just in case Nell mentions cousin Yashvi hanging around). Sonya says she might have a lie down because her headache's still bad and Alice offers to make her an herbal remedy drink to help her ailment.
Bushland
Elly, Susan and Xanthe are relieved when they find Bea, but their happiness is short-lived when Bea shakily tells them that Finn's there and he's chasing her. Susan takes charge and says if they stick to the main path they can get out of there quickly and quietly together. They all take off into a run.
Number 30
Alice blends some painkillers into the smoothie she's making and pours a glass for Sonya, who is grateful for Alice's kind-heartedness. Especially when Alice offers to give her a neck massage too. Toadie arrives home and is concerned that Sonya's not well, hoping she's not coming down with what Nell had. But Sonya says it's just a tension headache. Alice advises Sonya to drink all of her smoothie up and hopefully she'll be on the mend soon.
Bushland
The four women walk past a cliff's edge while Xanthe keeps trying to get reception on her phone to call the cops, but they're not in a great spot. Bea tells her to try 112, the secondary emergency number, but it won't work either. They all startle when Finn leaps out in front of them exclaiming that it's his lucky day.
FINN: All of my favourite ladies together at once!
Xanthe, Elly, Bea and Susan all huddle together protectively while Susan advises them to stay calm.
FINN: Good advice, Suse. We've got to be able to think straight don't we?
ELLY: Get out of our way, Finn.
FINN: (smirking) You don't think I'm really going to do that, do you?
XANTHE: Well we've already called the police and they're on their way.
FINN: So many lies! And everyone thinks I'm the bad guy. There's no signal up here and you know it.
He takes a step towards them and Bea screams at him to get back.
FINN: Ooh, give me all you got, babe. You know I love a good fight.
The four women are unwittingly inching closer and closer to the cliff's edge while Finn looms menacingly over them.
