Number 26
Xanthe literally drags her Gran outside to the backyard to tell her in confidence the truth about the pregnancy test and who it really is for. Sheila thinks that Piper is just in denial but knows the lass is a smart cookie and will ultimately take the test after she has thought about it. "I hope so," Xanthe replies back.

Lassiters car park
Pierce catches Chloe as she walks through the car park to give her a dress to wear at the Melbourne Cup. She is very impressed too at hearing the tickets are for The Birdcage! Pierce also wants her to wear the necklace he bought for her, so she's forced to break it to him that she sold it. Surprisingly, Pierce takes the news very well.

Lassiters Complex
Yashvi declares she is done with education after 13 long years since she doesn't plan on going to Uni as she walks with Elly through the complex. Elly reminds her that she still has to sit her exams although the conversation stops when both they stand and stare at Pierce and Chloe talking. Yashvi seems impressed at Chloe's career given she did not go to Uni but Elly quickly comments that "Chloe is on a different pathway to you," to try to divert attention from what they are seeing.

YASHVI: Just saying she's doing pretty well.

The Waterhole
David is updating Aaron and Paul about the news on Finn although Paul has doubts on its authenticity after discovering its Gary the news is coming from!

Paul then spots Leo arriving and takes that as his cue to leave. However, the couple have other ideas, and with the offer of a free drink from Aaron, try to get Paul to stay put.

Penthouse suite
And it would seem the offer wasn't a strong enough pull for Paul as he arrives home just as Amy and Gary are about to head off - she's staying again at #26 and was home to get some fresh clothes, hence the plan to keep Paul in the pub longer to allow her to go without being spotted. He is not amused at her using the facilities of the penthouse without actually living there and tries to warn her off being with Gary and putting herself in unnecessary danger. Amy isn't amused at the "childish insults" and refuses to stay any longer to hear Gary being slagged off.

Lassiters brasserie
Mark catches Piper doing some lawyer research for Cassius, but she quickly explains it's, so he can get representation to have a fair trial. "Even a scumbag like him?!" Mark angrily replies back and reminds her what he did to Tyler too in case she's forgotten!

MARK: I couldn't care less what happens to the guy, neither should you.

The Flametree Retreat
"Cut to the chase," Gary tells Paul after he comes in to try and get more out of Gary over how he got the information about Finn. Turns out Paul has done some digging... well his henchmen have and he knows the full truth about what Gary did with Amy's money.

PAUL: And it's going to be such a treat telling the rest of the world!

(Later)

Commercial break later and Paul thinks that Gary and Jeremy hatched up the plan to rip the retreat of $100k.

GARY: Is that what you think happened? I've too much respect for Steph, I'd never rip her off.
PAUL: Yes, or you tried and failed 'cos you're not smart enough... no surprise there!

Gary tries to say as usual he has "got the wrong end of the stick" but Paul's retort is that he's an "utter disgrace" for concocting the story about Zanthe to get Amy's money. "What do you want Paul?" Gary asks, and the reply is for him to break up with Amy and to keep on walking!

PAUL: That way I will keep your dirty little secret.
GARY: Maybe you don't know as much as you think?
PAUL: Yes, nice try. Just do as I say, or my next stop is going to be Amy.

"Go right ahead," Gary tells him because Amy knows it all anyway and adds, when Paul threatens to also go to the police, that since there wasn't an insurance fraud he will simply look silly to the authorities. Since he is alone with Paul, Gary decides it is time for few home truths!

GARY: You've let her down more than anyone else in her life. But I plan to make her happy and nothing you dream up is going to get in my way.

Hospital
Cassius tells Piper she is just in time to visit him, he's leaving tomorrow. She drops off the list of barristers that might be able to help him, and pro-bono too as he can't afford one, but he rejects her offer as he's instructed his legal aid lawyer to allow the book to be thrown at him.

CASSIUS: It's better for everyone that way.

Piper literally rolls her eyes at that statement and walks out the room!

Harold's café
Elly spots Chloe (and her new dress) in the café and comments that Pierce looked really into her when she saw them talking earlier, and wonders if he "doesn't like you more than you realised?"

CHLOE: Well I am pretty irresistible.
ELLY: I'm being serious.

"He knows I don't do feelings," Chloe then says but Elly points out that he might and wonders if he has shared anything personal with her or about the future like marriage and kids. "No, he hasn't," Chloe confidently replies and thinks her friend has Pierce completely wrong although does at least concede to think about what Elly has said.

CHLOE: I am the last one who wants anything getting messy.

Lassiters sauna
It would seem Chloe should have listened to her friend a bit more as while she seems to think the chat with Pierce is banter, he seems to think its more that that. "You make me really happy," he tells her and asks (given what she told him earlier about her debt) if she needs anything else. "No, don't stress," she replies and apologises again for the necklace.

The Flametree Retreat
Gary is sitting looking shell-shocked when Amy enters the reception and asks what's wrong.

GARY: I've just been fired.

It would appear Paul has got his ultimate revenge as Gary didn't want to lie to her anymore, so told her everything and this time his plea for another chance was denied.

Lassiters sauna
Continuing their chat, Pierce reckons that Chloe the party girl, already has her whole wedding planned out and reckons she would come up with a crazy theme nobody else had thought of before. Thankfully for Chloe, she spots Yashvi lurking and uses that as an excuse to end their conversation to go chat with her instead.

Yashvi confesses she is bombing her exams and is after advice on how to be a Chloe mark II by getting cash for hanging out with guys. She then reveals she's seen Chloe's website and thinks that they could team up as she's brainstormed some ideas!

CHLOE: No, just no.

Chloe cannot get out of the changing room quick enough, and grabs her robe and bolts, leaving Yashvi to answer Pierce's questions about where Chloe has gone to when he gets out of the sauna.

Lassiters Park
"Had any phonecalls today?" Paul nonchalantly asks as he passes Gary but before he can open his mouth to protest, Paul gets it in that Steph is his good friend and is simply "looking out for her." "How am I supposed to make a living now?" Gary asks and reminds him that he's got Amy to pay back too. "It's not my fault that you keep making bad decisions," Paul almost gloatingly replies back.

GARY: I'm not going to abandon Amy.
PAUL: What do you thinks going to happen when she finds out that you can't even begin to pay back the money you owe her eh? And anyway, it's not just the loan, as you said you've got no job, no prospects and what was the other thing... oh yes, you can't even afford to look after your own kid. So how long do you think it's going to be before Amy realises that she's tied to a loser?

The Terrace
The Robinson siblings discuss tactics on how to handle Paul since none of them are making a great job! "Turn the other cheek," is David's best advice and even Amy seems to be buying into it but Leo fears Paul will simply walk all over them.

DAVID: No, he won't. Not if we show him his pettiness doesn't affect us.
AMY: He's right Leo. Think about it, if we simply don't engage with him, then he's got no-one to fight.

Harold's café
Piper joins Sheila and Xanthe's studying table and tells them about visiting Cassius (thus failing the 'moving on') and thinks she now needs something else to think about, beginning with giving the ladies a hand with their studying.

When Piper heads to get a coffee (she looks like she needs perking up!) Xanthe can't believe that she went to visit Cassius. "It's the baby, she's confused," is Sheila's take and is more than sure Piper needs to take the test! Xanthe acknowledges that but can't force Piper to take the test and Sheila fears that it won't end well for either of them if the lass opens herself up to Cassius again "for no good reason."

Penthouse suite
Paul is savouring a whisky when Amy and Leo enter the apartment. "I heard what you did to Gary," Amy comments but Paul wants clarification on exactly what she's heard! She calmly then informs him that she's had enough and is moving in with Gary. Paul wants to know if Leo has talked his sister "out of this stupidity?!"

LEO: I'm just the bag carrier.

Paul wants her to sit and discuss it "before you leap into the fire with this criminal."

PAUL: All I'm trying to do is make you see who this guy really is.
AMY: And I can see that you want me to be safe.

"Yes," Paul replies, and she thanks him before adding that since Robinson Heights is winding up, they don't need to be in each other's pockets any more. Paul looks like he's just heard the worst news imaginable!

PAUL: He won't make you happy eh.
AMY: Well it's your happiness I'm worried about. You're so angry all the time.

"You are," she adds when it looks like he's about to protest and wonders if its because things are out of his control, however hopes that he "can turn it around."

"You don't condone this surely?" Paul says to Leo when Amy goes to pack. "I believe in letting people live their lives," Leo calmly replies before being taken aback when Paul congratulates him for staying on at #22. "It's no big deal," he says emotionless, but Paul thinks it is for Terese.

LEO: Whatever that's supposed to mean.
PAUL: The only reason she moved you in was because she thought it would bother me. Well you can go tell her that I honestly do not give a rats!
LEO: Will you give up on the games; everyone's is over it, especially Amy.

Amy comes out with her suitcase and the pair head for the lift leaving Paul to suddenly realise that he is all alone in his palace. He takes his frustration out on the whisky glass by throwing it against a door while trying hard not to let the emotion flow.

Number 24
Chloe admits that Elly might have been right, she thinks that Pierce does have feelings for her. "What happened?" Elly asks, and Chloe replies, "he mentioned marriage," but not for them, simply sounding her out. "You're going to end things?" Elly assumes but that isn't on Chloe's agenda, she's having too much fun plus she needs to pay Fay back too.

CHLOE: I just need to manage his expectations.
ELLY: Chloe, this is a person we're talking about.

Hospital
"So, you like being in prison, do you?" Sheila remarks on hearing Cassius' nonchalant reply to Piper's efforts in trying to help him. "What is there for me on the outside?" he asks especially with Elissa being locked up too.

CASSIUS: There's nothing left.
SHEILA: Are you sure of that?

If she was meaning Piper, he informs Sheila that he isn't good for her and adds that he doesn't want her to stick by him either. Sheila thinks otherwise, especially as the lass visited him today. "She feels sorry for me," is Cassius' explanation.

SHEILA: Look, sometimes it isn't just about you you know, she might be thinking for two.

It suddenly then dawns on Sheila what she's said and quickly tries to backtrack.

SHEILA: Look, I just think you should reconsider accepting her offer.
CASSIUS: Wait, tell me what you meant!
