- Amy asks what it would take to stop him running the story.

- Mark tells Elly he'll speak to Paige and sort this out. Elly says it's too late.

- Gary makes a call and admits he's done something stupid.
- At the unveiling of the new complex, everyone sees the green couch with ‘Cheater' written on it.
Paul, Courtney, Amy and Xanthe watch as the sofa is taken away. Paul says Jack Lassiter would have been proud.
COURTNEY: Hang on, is that the spot where you and Ter…
XANTHE: Ew, that was in our house! That's disgusting!
Gary rushes past and goes into Lassiters to talk to Terese. He tells Terese he rushed back to try and undo the damage before the unveiling, but he was too late.
Steph and Jack rush in and meet Susan and Elly in the hall. Susan tells them that Sonya's fine, she just needs a few days bed rest. They also tell them that Toadie and Sonya are back together. Steph excitedly shouts out Yes! Susan says it's a shame she had to cut their visit short with Adam. Jack says Adam was telling him heroic tales of his super mum. Jack asks if his application for school counsellor went through, Susan says it has and looks forward to reading it. As Jack and Steph go in to Sonya's room, Elly brings up Mark and Paige. She says she misses Paige. She thinks it would be easier if Mark and Paige get back together, at least then they'll be happy, but they won't get back together if they keep ignoring their feelings.
Courtney complains to Paul and Amy about Terese taking over and hogging the spot light. Paul says it probably worked out for the best considering what happened. Tim arrives, so Courtney and Paul make a quick exit. Tim sits down with Amy. Amy says she looked for cracks but she thinks Paul and Courtney's feelings for each other are real.
TIM: People think that she's his dumb trophy wife, it's humiliating. I want you to break them up.
TIM: You are in the perfect position to play the evil step daughter. Make Courtney's life agony until she wants to leave.
Amy says that wasn't their deal, she promised to get the truth and nothing more. Tim says tomorrow's front page will be a ripper, ‘Wellness Centre or Drug Den!' Amy asks him not to print the story.
TIM: I won't, so long as you convince my daughter to run screaming from that lecherous father of yours as soon as humanly possible.
After an exciting montage of people walking across the bridge, we cut to Terese sitting by the pond. Paige says the stupid couch is now off to the tip. Terese apologises for being off her game the last few weeks. Paige says Gary crossed a line today. Terese thinks she and Paul drove him to it. Paige says she's still Gary's employer. Paige leaves to go to a liveability meeting with David.
Courtney complains to Amy that none of her ideas for Lassiters are good enough. She wants to put a stamp on something so that she feels she belongs. Amy says she doesn't and everyone knows it. Courtney says she's out of her league and says her dad was right, she's a screw up. Amy is shocked her dad said that to her. Amy says she does belong here, and she isn't a screw up. Her ideas are a bit off the planet, but at least they're fresh. Amy suggests they talk through her ideas.
Elly asks Mark if he's seen Paige recently, and if he still cares about her. Mark says his priority is Tyler right now. Just now Paige arrives with Gabe. Elly is about to leave, but Paige stops her, she's here to see David. Mark thanks Elly for her efforts, but if it was going to happen, it would've.
Amy tells Tim that she can't hurt Courtney. Tim thinks it's absurd that Paul is dating Courtney. Amy says they're adults and they can figure it out for themselves. Tim threatens to put the Wellness Centre on the front page tomorrow, just as Paul overhears.
Number 26 Back Yard
Xanthe asks Gary why he wrote ‘Cheater' on Terese's couch.
XANTHE: Where does this step fit into our ‘breaking up with dignity' plan, cos I must have skimmed past that part.
GARY: Steady on, we all make mistakes when we're upset. You were the one who slapped Terese at the wedding.
XANTHE: We didn't have our plan then!
Xanthe says that every time he feels angry, Gary should talk to someone who cares about him before he acts. They need to add another step to their plan, one about staying professional at work. Gary gets a text from Terese who wants to meet him in his office. He probably won't have his job for long.
Susan and Jack are chatting about his application. She says they'll certainly interview him. Elly arrives and asks Jack if he could take Gabe this afternoon. He agrees and goes to pick him up from Paige. Susan asks Elly what she's up to, but Elly can't talk right now.
Terese gets a text reply from Gary, saying he'll see her there. Elly asks that Paige is overworked, and wonders if Terese could give her the afternoon off. Terese agrees. Elly calls Paige and says she has an emergency and wants her to meet her at the wishing tree in an hour.
Elly asks Mark to help David by hanging up wishes on the wishing tree before the liveability judging tomorrow. Mark asks what this is really about, does she have a date that she doesn't want him to know about. Elly says that's it. Mark says it's great and asks about the guy.
ELLY: Well, we've only just met but he's caring and he loves his family. He stands up for what he believes in. He can be really frustrating sometimes and a little bit nerdy, but apart from that he's perfect.
MARK: Well I'm hoping he realises how lucky he is. You're a catch Elly. You're smart, you're beautiful, you're completely unexpected. You deserve someone who's not going to take that for granted.
Mark agrees to help Elly. Elly leaves, taking one last thoughtful look at Mark before she leaves.
Steph has cleared all the motel rooms, though they can't do much more without any money. Paul arrives to check on Amy, so Steph goes to call Lucas and check in on Adam. Paul says he's spoken to Courtney and it means a lot to him that Amy was helping her out. She doesn't have to make quite the same effort with her father though, and asks if Tim's causing her trouble. Paul says he's here for her, whatever she needs. Amy admits that they were sent medicinal cannabis that they don't have a licence for and Tim threatened to publish a story about it unless she broke up Paul and Courtney. Amy says she couldn't do it, so tomorrow the paper will ruin their reputation. Without donors this place will be in limbo. Paul refuses to help out with a loan.
PAUL: This place is based on a ridiculous business model!
PAUL: An idea which happened to come from Nick. Now I warned Steph about pursuing it. Darling, I meant it when I said I'm here for you and Jimmy, but this, I can't support this.
Number 24 Back Yard
Courtney joins Amy and Xanthe and says as soon as Amy left, all her creativity dried up. Amy thinks Courtney just needs someone to bounce ideas off of. Amy asks Xanthe for ideas to rejuvenate Lassiters. Xanthe suggests themed rooms at the hotel, you could have one which is all mirrors, like a disco ball. Courtney and Xanthe continue to brainstorm ideas. Courtney asks Xanthe to be her assistant. Xanthe goes to check with her dad, while Courtney thanks Amy for fixing things. She's really good at that.
Mark and Elly meet up and realise Elly has set them up. Elly sends them a message telling them to read the first wish in the folder, and not to hate her. They read the wish. ‘I wish my friends would be brave and admit their feelings for each other. PS. I'm doing great so don't even try to use me as an excuse.'
Paige says this is awkward, but they agree to hang the wish up on the tree.
Lassiters – Terese's Office
Terese assures Gary that she won't fire him. She understands why he did it, and she deserves it. Terese says they should call it even. She knows how much she hurt him. Gary says the only way this will work is if they set clear boundaries, they need to be professional. Gary says she's just his boss now, and leaves.
Elly tells Susan she wants Mark and Paige to be happy together. She hopes if they do get back together that in time they'll all go back to being close.
Paul enters, talking to Courtney on the phone, saying its great that she's got a new assistant. Paul ends the call and sits down with Tim.
PAUL: Stay away from my daughter.
TIM: You're one to talk.
Paul says he respects his children, unlike Tim. Paul accuses Tim of making Courtney feel like a failure, he only believes in the worst of her. Paul says Courtney is a power house and Tim has no idea.
Mark and Paige read the wishes as they put them up on the trees. Mark says they've both changed a lot, but he regrets how he treated Paige. Neither of them want to change the past because it's made them who they are. They lean in and kiss each other, while Jack watches from afar.
Paige thanks Elly for what she did, it was incredibly selfless. Elly wants to be friends again, she misses Paige, but she needs time to get used to things. Paige understands. Meanwhile, Terese approaches Paul.
TERESE: How dare you taunt Gary about that couch. I don't care what you throw at me, push Courtney in my face, make every working day hell for me, but Gary didn't ask for any of this, he did nothing wrong and he doesn't deserve your egotistical rubbish. Just leave him alone. That better be clear.
Amy reads the headline ‘Wellness Centre or Drug Den' online. A woman, Leanne arrives and greets Amy, asking 'or is it Anika?' Leanne was surprised to hear from her. Amy says she wouldn't have considered it if Ryan was still in charge. Leanne says immaculate cleaning is all hers now. Amy says she's heard that conditions are better for workers now, they've got better terms and a bigger cut. Leanne says they'd love to have Amy back, and she'd make sure it was worth Amy's while. She gives Amy her card.
- Amy is freaking out that Hamish won't make a donation now. Steph says they're screwed without money.
- Amy calls someone saying this could save her skin.
- Louise tells Hamish she won't continue being his dirty little secret. She's running out of money and patience.
- Mark tells Tyler he's allowed to be worried that he's went awol.
- Hamish hopes Tyler doesn't feel like he's been pushed aside.
