- Paul declaring that he couldn't live in this world if Terese weren't in it.
- Terese and Paul TITTNL™ in her office.
- Terese rejecting Paul in favour of Gary.
- Terese being freaked out by the couch in her office (the one she slept with Paul on)
- Terese confiding in Paige about what she did.
- Sheila wanting the sofa rather than see it go to charity.
- Susan pulling out of marrying Terese and Gary.
- Paige informing Terese that Paul is coming back tomorrow… her wedding day!
Terese, fully dressed in her bridal gown, makes her way to the penthouse suite to see Paul. He is of course very much surprised to see her and asks if she is here for him to save her from “a marriage that you will regret for the rest of your life?” She asks if that is why he is back and he confirms it is because no matter how much they've hurt each other in the past, “I believe that we are meant for each other.”
PAUL: Terese, our future is together.
TERESE: No, no you're wrong.
PAUL: Oh no. You know in your heart that I'm so right.
And the pair start pashing… serious pashing and then Terese wakes up alone at #22 with serious dose of itching!
Lassiters Park (next day)
As they set up the chairs for the wedding, Tyler tells Piper that he isn't going to be changing his surname, for now at least after Hamish convinced him not to. He suggests he could change his surname to Willis after they get married and immediately Piper puts the kybosh on that idea – she wants to go travelling not getting wed, starting with having a great gap year.
Miss Official, aka Xanthe (all booted and suited in a female version of a tuxedo) arrives to check on the progress and isn't at all impress at the lucky elephant statue Dipi dropped off being on her table but is once its moved. She is about to have a hissy fit too about the chair placement but the newly arrived Ben (and his compliments) has her keeping quiet.
Shane is ready with the anti- nerve cures for Kirsha but she declares that she is ready and after packing up the guitar heads off.
Steph interrupts the gush fest Leo is telling Mishti to have a word – she's heard Paul is arriving back and is concerned he's going to pull some rabbit out of the hat and prevent the motel sale from going through, but he's sure that the timing is just coincidence.
Paige has her hands full with Terese – first trying to persuade her to eat, then to stop her from going to see Paul and finally to stop scratching!
Leo is trying to quiz his dad but he wants to wait until the others (Amy, Jimmy and David) arrive so he can tell them all together. However, its Paige that arrives in the lift and gets straight to the point - she wants to know why Paul is back. “Business to attend to,” is Paul's reply and she asks if that includes Terese? She reveals that she knows everything, then pleads with him not to make Terese's life hard today. “I have no interest in Terese anymore,” Paul declares.
PAIGE: I really hope you mean that.
As Piper is beautified, Paige quietly tells Terese what happened on her visit to see Paul and she is sure that he will keep his word.
The day is getting to Terese but Paige reassure her she has the right to be nervous and Piper is sure this marriage won't go the same way as with Brad (and we hear that he has sent a card).
Xanthe arrives and hands over a pressie to Terese from Gary – a pair of earrings and a card where he says he can't wait for them to be married.
In the background, Kirsha and Ben tune their guitars up as Gary meets the new celebrant, and not Roger Neave playing his usual role of Dr Levi! Sheila of course can't but resist having a dig at the passing Susan (and Karl) about her pulling out of officiating.
Piper joins Paige (they're both wearing red dresses) and asks if Terese is ready to marry Gary as she seems to have turned to jelly and wonders “if that's normal?” Paige thinks she is the wrong person to ask given her non- wedding to Mark (and Piper confirms he is going to be attending the wedding) but their attention is then drawn to Terese making her way down the stairs. Thankfully she is dressed nowhere like she was in her dream (a more traditional dress complete with veil) – she's in a white low cut, off the shoulder lacy dress that has a high split to the front. “See, it's going to be perfect,” Paige reassures the bride as the car arrives to take them to Lassiters.
Kirsha and Ben keep the waiting guests entertained as they wait for the bride to arrive.
Sheila calls Xanthe over to give her the rings – she is so mesmerised by Ben that she forgot about them!
Terese and her bridesmaids arrive but the bride refuses to move from the car as the itching she was suffering from earlier is back, so Piper rushes off to see if Xanthe has any more anti- histamine tablets since they cured it earlier.
“Maybe I'm allergic to marriage,” Terese wonders (and if Gary will marry her if he found out about Paul) but Paige reassures her she is simply nervous and all Gary wants is for her to get out of the car and say, “I do”.
Piper returns having failed to get near Xanthe, and pleads with her mum to ignore the old baggage and to concentrate and look forward to the future.
TERESE: That's the problem, I don't think I deserve a future with Gary, he's too good for me.
PAIGE: Shut that down, do not think like that!
PIPER: Yes Mum, Paige is right, you've been through so much. You deserve a happy ending and so does Gary.
TERESE: I do adore him, and I do want to marry him.
Piper is more than happy to hear that and rushes off leaving Paige to dish out the final pep talk.
PAIGE: Listen, today is going to be a magic day.
Piper reassures Xanthe that everything is okay, and is ordered to get her mum ready while she goes position Gary and get the music ready.
Sheila can't resist having a final dig at Terese for being late, despite it of course being the bride's prerogative! Xanthe returns to tell Gary to get into position and yells at the congregation of random extras (and those cast to randomly appear – Mishti, Shane, Dipi, Tyler, Mark, Elly, Karl and Susan) to sit down.
Ben starts crooning and the bridesmaids begin their walk down the aisle before eventually Terese follows them. When she reaches the altar, Gary tells her not to cry (she is!) and is glad she got his pressie.
GARY: I want you to know how happy you make me. I only hope I make you just as happy.
The celebrant begins by telling everyone what they are here to see…
And we cut off to see Paul and Leo! Paul denies he was thinking of Terese when he looked at his watch and reassures his lad he is fine when he asked how Paul was doing.
LEO: I don't know whether to believe you or not, you're a sly dog.
PAUL: Yes, more like an old dog with a few new tricks eh!
Paul toasts to the bride and groom, to prove to Leo that he is okay with her getting married.
And we're back with the bride and groom in time for the vows to be exchanged.
GARY: I stand before you in awe Terese Willis. You have more courage, fight and passion than anyone I've ever met. Never have I admired someone with so much, nor met someone with as much integrity as you.
Terese asks him to stop and Gary reassures her it's just nerves.
TERESE: No, I can't do this. I'm sorry, I can't do it, I can't go through with this.
“I'm sorry, I can't do it,” she mutters and Sheila approaches Xanthe for clarification on what Terese is saying. “Stay calm and refocus,” Paige tells Terese but she's only got one thought in her head – bolting!
XANTHE: What is your mum doing?
PIPER: I have no idea.
Gary rushes after Terese and blocks her pathway.
GARY: You can't leave me like this.
TERESE: I have to, I'm sorry, you don't understand.
GARY: Well then explain it to me so I do understand why you're doing this to me.
The only thing Terese has to say is for Gary to loosen his grip on her but he's refusing to do that until she tells him why.
TERESE: I cheated on you. I slept with Paul.
Cue open mouths from the cast wedding guests but especially so Piper, Xanthe, Sheila and of course Gary as we head into the final commercial break.
Gary is so shocked that the only thing he can do is walk away. Sheila on the other hand is ready to let Terese have it, and have it she does!
SHEILA: You have broken my son's heart and you have humiliated him in front of all our family and friends.
Terese goes to walk away, supported by Paige and Piper but Sheila hasn't finished yet and Dipi is literally having to hold her back as she continues.
SHEILA: Don't you walk away from me you trout- faced cheating witch! You will rot in hell for what you've done to my son.
Terese now decides she wants to talk to Gary, so Piper walks up to him to ask if he'll listen.
XANTHE: Don't you dare. After everything we have done for her, for this wedding, and this is how she repays you by cheating?!
Terese walks up to them and as soon as Xanthe notices she is there (Terese says “Gary”) Xanthe slaps her face!!!
TERESE: I'm so… I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
GARY: Sorry doesn't explain anything.
TERESE: I felt so bad ever since it happened but I wanted to marry you so that's why I lied. And then I got here and I looked you in the eye and I couldn't do it. I'm so sorry.
Gary doesn't say anything more, he simply walks away and eventually Terese does that too.
“Did you know about this?” Piper asks and Paige confirms she does, this then leads into a mini- tantrum of why Paige knows and she doesn't. Paige wants to get Terese home but she announces that she isn't going home, she is going to see Paul! Piper is aghast at her even contemplating that, commenting that would be “such a bad look.”
TERESE: I don't think I could look any worse that I do now.
PIPER: Wait, did you face up because you wanted to be honest with Gary or because you want to be with Paul?
TERESE: To be honest but Gary might hurt Paul. I have to warn him.
Paige volunteers to call him but nothing is going to stop Terese seeing Paul, she's been wanting to see him all day! “I can't be a part of this,” Piper says and leaves.
As per the dream at the start of the episode, Terese takes the lift up to the top floor. Paul, as per earlier, is surprised to see Terese and asks what she is doing here. “I'm not sure,” she hesitantly replies but confirms that she isn't here to rub his nose in it. However, before she can say anything, a scantily dressed Courtney appears pulling on a dressing gown (Paul is also wearing one).
PAUL: You know my fiancée…Courtney.
And on her finger, is a HUGE diamond ring.
- Piper seeking answers from her mum.
- Susan trying to find out where Gary is.
- Gary wanting to set Paul right!
- Terese going to see Gary.
