Number 32
Ben tells Yashvi about Xanthe's 'lies' regarding the whole photo scandal, and while Yashvi looks guilty, she doesn't tell Ben the truth. Mishti urges the two of them to get a move on or the bus will leave without them, but Ben tells Yashvi he's not in the mood to attend the formal anymore.

Number 26
After her misunderstanding with Ben, Xanthe's not keen to go to the formal either, much to Piper's disappointment. Piper ends up confessing to Xanthe that Ben has feelings for Yashvi, hence why he got so upset. Xanthe's a bit shaken by the news and doesn't understand why Yashvi would do something so cruel to Ben. Piper doesn't get it either, but she knows they won't solve the mystery tonight so they may as well have fun at the formal in the meantime. After a bit of cajoling Xanthe agrees to come.

Number 30
While Mark and Steph are in the lounge room, Jack chats to Paige and asks what's troubling her. Paige feels uncomfortable telling Jack the truth, so she gives him a roundabout explanation that she currently feels strongly about "something" and has been trying to keep it to herself but she's not succeeding. Jack suggests she write her feelings down on paper to see if it gives her clarity.

Harold's Café
Sonya and Toadie are having a happy flirty chat about what did (and didn't) happen after they took down the statue and disposed of it. Sonya asks him if he wants to come to Nell's parent/teacher kindergarten interview with her and Toadie smiles and says there's nothing else he'd rather do.

Number 32
Ben's worried that Freya might have a copy of his nude pic and is concerned that she's shown all of her friends. Yashvi tells Ben that she'll stay home from the formal with him, which starts Ben on a 'you're such a good friend' spiel until Yashvi and her guilt can't take it anymore and she finally blurts out the truth. Ben's stunned and Yashvi starts to cry as she promises Ben it was an "accident" and she never meant to hurt him, but Ben angrily gets up and walks out.

Harold's Café
Paige makes a couple of attempts at her letter (screwing one up and throwing it over her shoulder so it lands behind a cushion - evidence for another episode perhaps) before she decides on something that sounds right. In her voiceover we hear: "I've tried to do the right thing, let the past go, but I can't. I can't let him go. Mark is the one." Dipi asks if Paige needs anything and then checks on a text message she just received. It's from Yashvi.

Number 32
Dipi hugs Yashvi while she cries on her shoulder about the Ben situation. Dipi says everything will blow over eventually and then Yashvi can make things up with Ben, but Yashvi tearfully says that Ben was really mad. The teen adds that it just shows the girls at school never really cared about her and Dipi says she's happy Yashvi can see that now. Dipi says she knows everything hurts at the moment but this will be a good life lesson for Yashvi in the long run.

Number 30
Steph asks Mark how things are going with Elly and Mark says things are OK, but he just feels like they haven't been able to connect the way he wants to just yet.

STEPH: That's understandable.
MARK: Yeah but you know when you have connected with someone on that intense level, kind of like me and Paige, you just know when it's not there.
STEPH: (smirking) Clearly I made a huge impression, didn't I?
MARK: I didn't mean it like that!

He says that Steph knows how much she means to him and envelopes her in a hug, just as Elly walks in the door. She looks ruffled to see them in an embrace.

Number 26
Xanthe and Piper arrive home after the formal, happy and content after a night of dancing. Xanthe says Piper should have vlogged the evening, but Piper says she would have just ended up ranting about Freya. Ben appears out of nowhere and apologises to Xanthe for going off at her - he knows the truth about Yashvi now. It doesn't take long for the girls to figure out Ben's been drinking because he's sad and they tell him they're going to take him home.

Number 28
Elly has dragged Mark home with her (and away from Steph) because she has an idea about the Liveability Committee for him. She wants to start a community book exchange! Elly falters when Mark doesn't seem too keen, not knowing about the wishing tree idea already in place, but Mark says it sounds great. He starts complimenting her and they're about to kiss when Piper and Xanthe drag Ben's drunken butt home. The girls pretend he's just tired but Elly and Mark see right through it and their almost romantic moment has the kibosh put on it.

Number 22
The next morning Paige is writing yet another version of her letter in the backyard when Steph stops by to see her. Paige tells her that she took Jack's advice about writing down her feelings for Mark, but Steph's just pleased to hear that Paige is admitting there are feelings. Paige wants to burn the letter but Steph grabs it and tucks it into Gabe's baby bag, telling Paige she should hold onto it for a while longer.

STEPH: All I'm saying is that things between you and Mark may not be as finished as you think.
PAIGE: Steph, he's going out with one of my best friends. I am not coming in between them.
STEPH: I'm not saying you have to, I'm just saying to hold onto the letter, and to your feelings, just for a little while longer.

Nell's Kindergarten
Toadie and Sonya think they're there because their little Nelly is a model student and completely happy, but the kindergarten teacher has different news for them. Nell's been having behavioural issues I.e. struggling to socialise and having tantrums. Toadie and Sonya are very concerned to hear this and realise their home situation has been having a more detrimental effect on their daughter than what they thought. The teacher thinks that it might be beneficial for Nell to have a bonus year at kindergarten.

Number 22
Jack picks up Gabe and asks Xanthe and Piper if they got his text about the wishing tree idea. The girls think it's a great idea and they hand Jack the ones they've already written. Jack tucks them away in Gabe's baby bag, along with Paige's note from earlier. Xanthe's worried that Elly's going to tell the K's about Ben being drunk last night, but Piper tells her everything will be OK. Piper heads off to school while Xanthe tags along with Jack to go to the wishing tree.

Erinsborough High
Yashvi hangs out the front and tries to talk to Ben when he arrives with Piper, but Ben just ignores her. Piper doubles back and has a chat with Yashvi.

PIPER: You OK?
YASHVI: (surprised) You're worried about me?
PIPER: My loyalty's with Ben but I'm not cruel, unlike your bestie Freya.
YASHVI: How is he?
PIPER: Not good as you just saw. Did you really think that was going to work?
YASHVI: It did. Everyone thinks that we ditched the formal last night and went to a hotel. Right now we're the coolest couple in school.
PIPER: Does it feel like you thought it would feel?
YASHVI: I just feel sick.

Piper asks if Yashvi plans on coming clean to everyone else. Yashvi knows it's the right thing to do but she's worried that Ben will just end up being the butt of the joke and she doesn't want to hurt him again. Piper tells Yashvi that she doesn't need Freya in her life - the coolest people are the ones who can just be themselves.

A short while later, Piper decides to vlog again and makes a video before school starts. She tells her viewers that life got hectic for her online and that's why she had a hiatus, but she's realised lately that life's hectic for everyone. Piper figures if you're going to get torn to shreds regardless of what you do, you may as well just be yourself and live your life the way you want to. 'Pipe Up' lives to see another day.

Lassiter's Park
Elly chats with Xanthe while Steph and Jack put wishes into envelopes and hang them on the designated wishing tree.

ELLY: Wow, that didn't take long.
XANTHE: They're taking it very seriously. They're like the Liveability's very own Oompa Loompas.

Elly asks what Xanthe's wish was, but Xanthe says hers wasn't that fun. It was about Finn getting sentenced the other day, but she wasn't happy that they went pretty easy on him. Elly notices Steph put a random note on the tree and zeroes in on it, apparently deciding that's Steph's one and not someone else's because why not.

Lassiter's Complex
Sonya and Toadie are talking about Nell. They feel awful that she's been putting on a brave face at home but then acts out at kindergarten. They also believe they've been too self-absorbed and need to spend more time together as a family for her. Toadie wonders if this could be charted as far back as the surrogacy, which strikes a nerve in Sonya. She doesn't appreciate the negativity being thrown at her, and Toadie says he didn't mean it like that, but the damage has been done and Sonya walks off before they start arguing.

Lassiter's Park
Xanthe and Elly are reading some of the wishes and Elly can't help herself and tells Xanthe to read out Steph's one. Xanthe starts to read it out loud but stops herself when she knows it will hurt Elly's feelings. Ever the sucker for punishment, Elly takes the note off her and reads it out loud, her face falling with each word.

ELLY: I've tried to do the right thing and let the past go, but I can't. I can't let him go. My mistakes and the baby issue got in the way, but I wish we could try again. I'm still in love with Mark. (crestfallen) Steph is still in love with him.
