Tanakas' apartment
Amy is talking to Leo and David about Willow. She thinks she should know who her father is instead of constantly wondering. David agrees but Leo warns them not to get involved.
Number 32
Toadie is sorting through his stuff as he and Willow have got the apartment. He refuses to get rid of the Rebecchi Back Yard Championship game football; it's an antique! Ben arrives to ask Willow to help him set up Aaron's promotional karaoke night at the Waterhole.
TOADIE: Off you go. Get out of here, Flying Fish!
SHANE: Flying Fish?
TOADIE: Flying Fish, meet Pufferfish.
SHANE: Has he taught you the secret handshake yet?
TOADIE: Oh, shut up! Is it still OK to call you that?
WILLOW: If it's OK with you.

Steph arrives home where everything is back to normal after the renovations. Sonya is looking over her paperwork for the most liveable suburb competition but the deadline is today and she doesn't think the new mayor would support it anyway. Steph tries to persuade her to enter as a private citizen but Sonya is too busy.
Lassiters Lake
Aaron is leading an exercise class when he gets a text from Ben about borrowing Karl's amp. Elly asks how workouts and karaoke go together and Mishti says they wanted to do something fun. Aaron hides when he spots David with a tall, muscular guy; that must be who was in the apartment with him.
AARON: Look at his skin! He's flawless! How can I compete with that?
Mishti is exhausted listening to Aaron and tells him to be honest with David but Aaron's already tried that. Elly tells him he needs to pretend he's not interested and David will come crawling back.
Robinsons Motel
Steph is working on her laptop outside. Jack has finished her to-do list so he's heading to the backpackers to man the desk.
STEPH: Oh, well if Leo needs you I'm sure I can find ways to keep you busy here!
JACK: I'm a pawn am I?
STEPH: Absolutely!
JACK (feigning shock): So, you're just using me?!
STEPH: Yeah, just for your body though!
Jack says he'll let her get back to work but Steph says she's entering the competition for Sonya. Jack says she's being a good friend.
STEPH: Debatable. Writing isn't my forte.
JACK: Ah yes, you're making up for it using exclamation marks!
STEPH: What's wrong with them?
JACK: Well it's just like you're... I don't know... laughing at your own jokes!
Jack says he did his fair share of applications for the church so Steph hands him the laptop.

Toadie and Shane are playing catch with the "antique" football and Toadie is defending his decision not to tell Willow about her father. Shane tells Toadie he's just a fill-in and thinks the reason he told him is because he's feeling guilty. Fergus could be on the straight and narrow now. Toadie says sometimes bad people are just bad.
SHANE: Yeah, and sometimes people change. Some of us better ourselves. Look, end of day, it's your choice but at least suss the bloke out. If he's as unreliable as you say then fine, keep your trap shut.
TOADIE: What if he's not?
Tanakas' apartment
David is complaining about being sore from exercising and Leo asks if he's going to regret hiring him that personal trainer. Aaron comes to the apartment and invites Leo to the karaoke night; there's going to be so many cute guys there. He invites David too but David says he's busy. Aaron leaves and Leo asks David what that was all about. David thinks Aaron is using the karaoke night to pick up other guys and was suggesting he should too.
Penthouse suite
Toadie comes to see Amy and tells her he's decided to tell Willow about her dad. He looked into Fergus some more and he seems to have come good.
TOADIE: I guess I still wanted him to be this rubbish guy. Or even worse, the person responsible for abusing Andrea. Then I'd be totally vindicated. Out of everything that's happened, everything just stuffing up, Willow is the one good thing to come out of all of it.
AMY: That won't stop being true.
TOADIE: Yeah, I know. But I really like having her around.
Amy tells him he's doing the right thing.
Robinsons Motel
Steph is reeling off things for Jack to write about the Waterhole in the application. He suggests it is hip and cool which Steph thinks is hilarious.
STEPH: I feel like sometimes those words - hip and cool - are used exclusively by people who are neither!"
JACK: Ouch! Exclamation mark!
STEPH: Ooh, touché!
Steph puts her hands on Jack's shoulders as she looks at the laptop screen and Jack looks very comfortable.
Waterhole
Aaron is setting up the equipment in the evening and Leo tells him he made David feel bad earlier but Aaron says David has moved on with someone else. Leo says that was Luiz, David's personal trainer! He's only working out for Aaron.
Tanakas' apartment
Aaron comes to talk to David and tells him he doesn't have to change who he is.
AARON: You're not quite built to bulk up like me and some of the other guys at the Shed.
DAVID (offended): Understood. Is that all?
Aaron explains that he was jealous when he saw David with Luiz and thought he didn't stand a chance. David gets the wrong idea and texts Aaron Luiz's number! Aaron says that's not what he meant but David asks him to leave.
Waterhole
Mishti finishes singing (badly) and Steph pushes Jack into singing. Elly tells Aaron they can fix things and calls David. She claims she's fallen over and hurt her wrist.
DAVID: Put some ice on it.
ELLY: Uh, no... there's a bone sticking out!
DAVID: Elly! Call an ambulance!
Aaron desperately tries to get Elly to stop but Elly gets David to agree to come down.
Number 32
Willow comes home and Toadie tells her that Mark has found her father in Port Macquarie. He was living in London so Andrea wasn't lying about that. Willow says her mum always said such bad stuff about him and she started to believe it. Toadie tells her they can take things as slow as she likes but Willow isn't sure if she wants to see him. What if he doesn't want to see her?
TOADIE: Why don't we sit on it for a bit then, eh?
WILLOW: Maybe...
TOADIE: What?
WILLOW: Maybe I could send him an email?
TOADIE: Yeah, yeah, sure, we can do that. I can get his email address for you if you like.
WILLOW: Or I could sit on it like you said.
TOADIE: Whatever you want, Flying Fish.
Waterhole
Jack is singing (also badly) but is kicked off stage to make way for Aaron because David is coming.
DAVID: Your wrist looks suspiciously unbroken!
ELLY: Oh... it's a miracle. You're such a great doctor!
DAVID: And I put clothes on for this!
Elly persuades David to stay as Aaron dedicates a song to someone special. Aaron sings to David and they kiss, to the applause of the pub.
Number 32
Toadie returns Nell's swimming bag to Sonya who senses something is wrong. Toadie tells her that Willow has decided to contact her dad. Sonya tells him he's not going to suddenly lose her.
SONYA: I'm sure she's realised by now, like everyone in your life... she knows you're irreplaceable.
TOADIE: Thank you.
Lassiters Lake
JACK: You have the voice of an angel.
STEPH: Oh yeah... wish I could say the same for you!
Jack sings a baby song that he sings to Gabe. The sprinklers suddenly come on and Jack gets soaked. They laugh about it and Steph tells Jack he's going to have to take his shirt off. Steph gives him her jacket and they kiss.
