Finn is working out on the outdoor equipment.
Elly tells Karl over breakfast that Finn admitted to shafting her at her old school and threatened to do the same here. Karl thinks she should report it but Elly says he'd only deny it. Karl hopes she isn't thinking of giving in, as Susan needs her. He thinks they should avoid telling Susan to reduce the stress in case she is having an MS relapse. Ben hears them talking and looks worried.
Lauren has returned and is holding the sedated Paige's hand when Karl comes in. Lauren tells him Brad is stuck in Thailand at a tattoo convention with Ned. She doesn't understand why Paige risked going to the shack so late in her pregnancy.
Finn makes an announcement to a random scattering of students and teachers outside, telling them that Mrs. Kennedy is off sick; a victim of MS. In the meantime, he is the principal and is counting on them all to help as they step forward into an exciting new era. Ben and Elly exchange looks of horror while Wayne Baxter calls for some encouragement and starts applauding.
Gary drops Terese off to see Piper. Terese hasn't been able to find a replacement for Brooke at the spa yet.
GARY: She's a master of the massage... can sort out a tight pair of glutes like nobody's business!
TERESE: Yeah, well she certainly knows how to work people over!
Inside, Lauren looks through the window at the baby. Terese comes in and apologises for not being there for Paige. Jack appears and Lauren has a go at him for letting Paige go into the bush after he put her mind at ease about moving away.
Ben complains about Finn stealing Susan's job but Elly tells him he needs to concentrate on his schoolwork. Ben doesn't know where Xanthe is; she got used to doing her own thing during his apprenticeship. Finn has a word with Elly and Wayne; he's going to be sitting in on some of their classes. Elly puts on a smile and Wayne tells her how dedicated Finn is; everyone's chuffed that he's the new principal.
Amy brings Jack a coffee outside and Jack tells her about Lauren having a go at him. He should have been there instead of letting his discomfort and feelings for Paige stop him. Amy asks if he's still in love with Paige and that's why he's considering quitting the priesthood. Jack wants to be a proper father to his son. Amy suggests now isn't the time to be making life- changing decisions and tells him to take his time as he has changed his mind before.
In Susan's room, Susan apologises to Lauren for her stupid body deciding to shut down when Paige needed her but Lauren blames Jack. Karl comes into the room with Susan's blood results. She has opiates in her system; it looks like she's been taking a very strong painkiller. Susan says she hasn't been taking anything out of the ordinary. Karl says they'll have to check with the pharmacy and check all the medicines at home.
Finn wants Ben to be involved with a school fundraiser for MS research as personal stories bring in donations. Ben reluctantly agrees and Finn goes off. Elly comes over and Ben fills her in. They don't even know if Susan is having a relapse. He doesn't like this; it feels like Finn is taking over permanently and everyone is just going along with it.
Terese and Lauren are in Piper's room. Piper has refractured her tibia; it's nothing compared to what could have happened to the baby. Lauren says she has her eternal gratitude but Piper says how good Jack was. Gary arrives to pick up Terese and asks if Lauren has heard about their engagement. Lauren had completely forgotten but is happy for them.
Lauren is by Paige's side as she wakes up and asks what happened. Lauren tells her the baby is doing fine but Paige gets upset and wants him with her. Karl comes in to check Paige over.
Elly is in Susan's room. Susan asks if Finn is giving her any trouble but Elly says it's nothing she can't handle. Karl comes in and Susan gives him a list of every tablet she's taken. Karl has checked with the pharmacy and there's nothing wrong with her prescriptions. He fills Elly in on the painkiller in Susan's blood.
ELLY: OK, so if you didn't take them does that mean she was drugged?
KARL: Oh, it's more likely it was some sort of accident.
ELLY: Do you think...? It actually makes perfect sense.
KARL: Hang on, what are you suggesting?
ELLY: Look, I know this might sound crazy but do you think Finn could be responsible?
Elly tells them how Finn is telling everyone at school that Susan has had an MS relapse. If he suffers from substance abuse as they suspect, he would have access to the painkillers. Susan says they know Finn is ambitious but this is taking things to a whole new level. Elly reveals that Finn admitted to sabotaging the presentation at her old school. She has to catch him with the painkillers. Susan warns her she needs to tread very carefully.
Jack brings the baby into Paige's room and she is delighted.
PAIGE: You sure know how to make a dramatic entrance don't you?
JACK: He probably gets that from you!
Lauren looks uncomfortable and Jack says he'll leave them to it but Lauren tells him to stay and she leaves. Terese appears again and tells Lauren she believes Jack is taking his responsibility seriously.
LAUREN: I've been so mad it him since I've been down here, but looking at him now and watching them together I'm realising the only person I'm really mad it is myself. We moved to Queensland at a time when Paige needed us the most. I mean, what kind of mother... grandmother does that make me?
Terese reminds her that Amber needed her but Lauren is compelled to go and apologise to Jack.
Leo has agreed to let Elly look in Finn's room but hopes it doesn't come back to bite him. Elly searches the room and finds a bottle of pills.
Gary and Terese get a coffee outside. Terese has been thinking about something Lauren said about not letting things fester. She tells Gary that Brooke played everyone to try and get him; she can't trust her and couldn't stand having her back here. Gary says fortunately things seem to be working out for Brooke and Jessie in Malaysia. Finn appears and asks them for a donation for MS research but Elly comes running up and accuses Finn of drugging Susan.
FINN: You really think anyone is going to buy into any more Elly delusions, completely devoid of proof?
ELLY [pulling the pills out of her bag]: OK. You call this proof? Recognise them?
FINN: Where did you find those?
ELLY: Not so innocent now are you, Finn?
Inside, Elly shows the pills to Karl who isn't happy about her breaking into Finn's room. Karl looks at the pills and says they are a common antidepressant. Finn appears and says he doesn't want people to know he's on antidepressants. Karl apologises to him and goes off.
FINN: As of now, due to your bout of breaking and entering, I'm suspending you from school duties. You're lucky I don't involve the police. But if you continue to spread these rumours about me harming Susan I'll sue you for defamation!
