Leo and David's flat
Leo isn't sure how Sonya found out about the game and tries to put her off, saying it's high-stakes. She brushes past him and sits down at the table with a load of guys.

No.32
Mishti is upset that Leo gave her the brush-off. Shane tells her that it's his loss and gives her a hug. Toadie overhears some of their conversation and ask them what's going on. Just then, Dipi comes in and asks Shane to check on Harold's for her. Toadie decides to go along with him.

Leo and David's flat
Leo is dealing the cards. The game proceeds with Sonya drinking and the other guys not really knowing what to make of her. Leo tries to get Sonya to cash out, but she doesn't want to.

Garage
Ben tells Tyler that he's decided to go back to school - apparently Lucas is happy for Ben to postpone his apprenticeship until after VCE.

Tyler goes over to see Mark who is outside Grease Monkeys. He grills him about the investigation into the backpackers, but Mark says there's nothing new.

Lassiter's
Toadie asks Shane if there's something going on between him and Mishti. Shane assures him that he's got the wrong end of the stick. He finally admits that they *are* keeping something from Dipi, but it's not cheating. Toadie says that he should be careful - once you betray a trust on any level, it's hard to get it back.

Outside Harold's Cafe
Mark tells Steph how invested Tyler is in the investigation. Steph tells him there's no point investigating Sonya, he'd better investigate who actually did it.

Leo and David's flat
One of the guys suggests no upper limit on the game and Sonya agrees. The game proceeds with Sonya playing high stakes. Leo looks increasingly concerned.

(Later)

The game is still proceeding. Sonya's cards are poor and asks Leo for a loan. Finally he declares that the game is over, even though that will mean forfeiting his own share.

Harold's Cafe
Tyler tells Paige that they need to get justice for Piper, who is still having nightmares. He feels that Mark is not making the investigation a priority, but Paige thinks Mark is doing his best.

In the kitchen, Shane tells Mishti that Toadie is getting suss - they'll have to be more careful. He hates lying to Dipi and wants to tell her everything. Mishti doesn't agree.

Leo and David's flat
Leo is cross with Sonya, who is rather drunk and slurring her words. He tells her to go home. She says if he tells Toadie, she'll tell the police about his illegal poker game.

On the way out of the flat, Sonya has a memory flashback to the morning of the backpacker crash.

Motel
Steph tells Paul off for being late to work. She wants him to pull his weight more. She's nervous that he's going to come into money very soon and leave her in the lurch. Paul assures her that the motel business means a lot to him. She reluctantly accepts this but does not look convinced.

Leo comes in and tells Paul that the game's over and that Sonya is in a bad way. He thinks Sonya needs help. Paul says he'll have a word with Steph. He looks impressed and tells Leo that he did a good thing.

No.32
Dipi is decorating the house to celebrate the one month anniversary of owning their own business. Toadie thinks it's nice that they're so happily married. Shane and Mishti come in and are surprised to see the balloons.

DIPI: I'm so lucky to have a such a clever husband! Sit down, and I'll get you a beer.

Toadie, Dipi and Mishti all look uncomfortable.

Motel
Paul tells Steph that she'd better go and check up on Sonya. She's thinks it's a good sign that Leo brought it to Paul though. Suddenly Paul gets an idea.

Leo and David's flat
David goes off to bed. After he's gone, Paul pops round to make Leo an offer - he says he's got a business proposal for him.

No.30 (Sonya's bedroom)
Steph finds Sonya sobbing in her bedroom. She tells Steph that she's done something really stupid and sobs in her arms.

No.24
Mark comes in to find Tyler looking through police files about the investigation. Mark is not impressed and takes the file off him. He tells Tyler in no uncertain terms that he's compromising the investigation and needs to stay out of it.

No.30
Paul proposes to Steph and Leo that they expand the Backpackers and the Motel into one business, in order to stop Tim Collins cornering the market. He and Steph get 40% each and Leo gets 20%. Leo also gets two business partners and some security. He'd continue with the Backpackers day-to-day. Steph isn't sure but Paul assures her he'll keep things strictly business and not let family ties interfere. Steph and Leo agree to think about it.

No.32
Shane and Dipi are cuddling on the sofa. Dipi decides to head off to bed, whispering to Shane that she's "not really that tired"(!)

When she's gone, Toadie comes over and warns Shane to do the right thing by Dipi.

SHANE: I've messed up, Toad, big time. What I did with Mishti...it was a mistake. And...I don't know how I can put it right without destroying my marriage.
