As the titles begin, the shot with Brad/Lauren has been removed.

Backpackers
Piper apologises for abandoning her sister as she's still helping book a group in to the hostel. Paige isn't fussed as she is fine sitting drinking her "tea"... but what is a normal text message from Lauren (saying they are boarding) now suddenly has moving emoji's in the middle of it!

Number 24
Mark is brooding as he reads the paper - Clive West has been let out of jail and tells Tyler that it's something else Sonya doesn't need right now. Tyler points out that at least he's there to protect her and Mark admits the connection they have has gotten stronger.

MARK: But how much of that is what we shared over Caitlin and how much of it is me loving her.

Tyler is shocked by this admission from his brother and asks that given Sonya is his best friend, does he really want to mess with that? "I know," Mark replies but adds that when he's with Sonya it feels right and when he isn't, he's thinking about her constantly. Tyler reminds him that he's still grieving and some space will allow things to simmer down.

MARK: Maybe I don't want them to.
TYLER: Do you think the feeling's mutual?
MARK: No... but maybe... I don't know.
TYLER: Bro, you need to be careful. What you both went through, its intense, the last thing you need right now is to make life harder for yourself.

Number 30
Steph tries to persuade Sonya to go get some more rest since Nell is still at her playdate but she doesn't want to as she can't switch off. With the news that Clive is out of jail, Sonya isn't looking forward going back to work tomorrow because she feels she isn't ready. Steph tries to come up with a plan to minimise the stress for her first day back but Sonya decides instead that she still needs more time off.

Backpackers
Piper has finally finished booking the group in and comes to chat with her sister but by this point, Paige is away with the fairies hallucinating and she declares the biscuits are making too much noise! Piper spots what Paige has drank and is immediately concerned and gets out her phone to make a call.

Hospital
Karl (and a silent nurse/porter) rush towards the taxi containing Paige/Piper as it arrives at the hospital. He's grateful that Piper called ahead and immediately goes to check on Paige - she is feeling sick, so Karl tells the nurse what tests he wants run on Paige. While they get her into a wheelchair, he goes to talk to Piper. Piper isn't exactly sure what it was that Paige has taken but has brought some of it with them in a flask, "a smart move," Karl tells her.

Jack has rushed to the hospital and wants an update. Karl quickly replies before following Paige into the hospital, that it's too risky to pump her stomach so instead they are going to give her plenty of fluids and monitor her.

"How did this happen?" Jack asks Piper and she explains a backpacker gave Tyler some "special tea" so he demands to know why it was lying around. Piper tries to say she didn't know it was there but Jack has already stopped listening to her and is rushing into the hospital.

Harold's Cafe
Toadie also isn't amused at the newspaper headline (about Clive being an innocent victim of Sonya's witch hunt) as he sits chatting with Steph. When he finds out that Sonya is delaying going back to work because of the headline, he gets out his phone to call Tim. Steph doesn't think he's in the right headspace to keep his cool while talking to Tim but he can't sit back "while someone does a hatchet job on my wife." Steph decides she will accompany him to the meeting and suggests making it somewhere public.

STEPH: We need to keep this under control Toad.

Lassiters Complex
And that public place is the complex although it's like a high-noon stand-off when both parties arrive! Steph thanks Tim for coming along but he had predicted Toadie would be calling him. Tim is doing his best to wind Toadie up and he thinks that going after a grieving mother is low, even by Tim's standards.

TIM: Marriage disintegration suits you Jarrod, it really brings out your self-righteous side.
STEPH: Look, I think he just wants to have a rational conversation about what's being printed.
TOADIE: What I want is for you to run your newspaper like a responsible human being.
TIM: It is the papers responsibility to put the torch to incompetent public servants like Sonya.

Toadie quickly rejects the accusation that Sonya is incompetent, Tim is simply looking for mud to sling. "If the mud sticks..." Tim suggests and Toadie wants to know what he means.

TIM: I think it's time you focused on your daughter, don't you? If in fact she is your daughter you know, knowing Sonya. Oh, do you think Nell could be Mark Brennan's as well?!

As you can imagine, even with his arm in plaster, Toadie wants to punch Tim's lights out and Steph quickly steps in to stop that from happening and separates them. Someone though has caught it all on their mobile and Tim wants the police called.

TOADIE: You set me up.
TIM: I did say you were predictable!

Hospital
Tyler tries to calm Piper down by reassuring her she isn't to blame for Tetleygatetm, it was just "a huge terrible mix-up". The pair spot Finn and Xanthe (he's been in for a check-up about his fall... or at least that's the story they are sticking to!) and Piper wants to know if she's heard anything about Paige from the nurses. This is news to Xanthe, so Piper explains about the "special tea" she drank (which has been analysed and found to contain mushrooms) and Xanthe rushes off to speak to someone that might know something.

Number 30
Sonya reads all about Toadie being arrested on the newspapers website (Mayor's jealous ex arrested) and Steph is sure they had the story all ready to run before Tim even met up with Toadie (she came home to give Sonya the heads up). Steph tries to explain why Toadie was meeting Tim except he got played badly. "That's what Tim does," Sonya replies and that the adult thing would have been not to take the bait. Steph says that "this story is even more humiliating for him than it is for you." Sonya isn't empathising with her husband though, she's fed up hearing the same excuse (he didn't mean for this to happen.)

The Waterhole
Finn comes in to seek advice from Elly on how he should handle the Tetleygatetm incident given he lives with Terese. Elly is more worried about Paige than on what he should do but does promise to figure out a way to handle things before she rushes to go check up on Paige.

Hospital
Paige has been declared safe to leave hospital and reassures her little sister that she isn't to blame and will explain things to Brad. Elly rushes in and is somewhat surprised to see her friend not in the bed and Paige reassures her she is fine before going outside to deal with the paperwork.

Tyler wants to know who told her and Elly simply replies "word travels fast" but she knows the full story. Both make it clear it's nothing to do with them/a school issue but she insists it is because Piper's potentially an "at risk student" which means all incidents have to be investigated.

ELLY: I've got a duty of care and unfortunately in this case, it means telling Susan.

Police station
Steph and Sonya arrive just as Tim is leaving the station and he asks if Mayor Rebecchi has a comment on her ex-husband's arrest! Sonya ignores him but Steph tells him to "get back in your box Collins."

Toadie is somewhat surprised to see Sonya there as it wasn't necessary for her to come but she did as she wasn't sure if he'd require bail money and also to ask him to stop defending her honour.

SONYA: I need you to stop trying to be a loving husband because it's making things worse.
TOADIE: I was just trying to help.
SONYA: You've just made yourself the story.
TOADIE: I was worried that Tim was putting you in danger.
SONYA: There's one person responsible for me being in the police station right now Jarrod.

Toad tries to reason that Tim is stirring up trouble between her/Clive but she assures him that she can handle it. He reminds her that Clive threw a brick throw their window and wonders if the stuff Tim is printing escalates that.

TOADIE: Please Sonya, I just want to help.
SONYA: It's not your job anymore. Just stay out of my life.

Hospital
As he shows them out of the hospital, Karl does his best to reassure Jack/Paige that everything is okay, at her 27-week stage, as far as they can tell despite the Tetleygatetm incident but they will still monitor her all the way.

Before they exit, Paige nicely chastises Jack for him having a go at Karl and he tries to explain that he really wasn't having a go, it's just that after what happened with Sonya...

PAIGE: Hey Jack, we were lucky, our baby's going to be okay.

Lassiters Complex
Elly spots Finn sitting outside Harold's and goes over to thank him for the heads up about Paige. She also mentions she will inform Susan too even though she feels bad about dobbing Tyler/Piper in. "I think you're doing the right thing," he reassures her before she heads off.

Xanthe comes over and demands that he instigates 'Operation get Elly back' a bit quicker than he currently is. "I think she's starting to come around," he reassures his student with and has ideas too on how to become School Principal when she asked how that was going.

XANTHE: Whatever your next move is, I think you need to start it.

The Waterhole
Tyler enters the bar and after spotting Jack, tentatively goes over to his table to talk to him. He apologises for the tea mix-up and is relieved to hear that the baby is okay but is confused when Jack replies "hopefully".

TYLER: But I thought she got the all clear?
JACK: And what if it had been different, if we'd lost the baby?

Tyler doesn't reply, so Jack carries on.

JACK: I always thought Brad was being too harsh but it's no wonder he doesn't trust you with Piper.
TYLER: Maybe just calm down on the judgements okay. I'm not the one that got one of his daughters pregnant. Pipes and I did nothing wrong. We didn't buy the tea, we didn't even know what was in it and we definitely didn't give it to Paige.
JACK: But it had your name on it, which makes you responsible.
TYLER: You aren't usually this unreasonable. This is fear talking.
JACK: No, this is the father talking. As far as I'm concerned, my baby was and is still in danger because of you.
TYLER: Whatever, you're right, I wasn't there for Paige today, but neither were you. You haven't been there for her all along and you know it. I think the person you're really mad at is yourself.

Number 30/Ramsay Street
Toadie is round to repair the window lock but before he gets started, he looks out the window and sees Sonya on the phone (she's having a conversation with Terese). When she finishes the call, she can tell someone is in the house (because of the noise Toadie is making with the tools) but she doesn't realise its Toadie, so gets back on her phone to call Mark.

Number 30
Toadie has obviously scarpered as there is no sign of him (nor a break in) as Mark checks the house over. "I'm such a mess Mark," she admits when she isn't sure if she closed the door properly before leaving (she told him the door was ajar). He reassures her she isn't, she is simply tired and because he doesn't like her being alone in the house (Steph is picking Nell up), volunteers to stick around to make sure she is okay. "I'd definitely feel a lot safer if you were here," she replies and takes him up on the offer of lying beside her until she falls asleep when she admitted she's not been sleeping lately, the last good sleep she had was with him at #24.

Number 32
Karl finishes giving Paige another check-up and suggests they do this on a semi-regular basis, if anything to reassure her parents whom she spent an hour on the phone persuading them not to return!

KARL: Worrying is part of the brief of being a parent.
PAIGE: Guess I'm going to get a crash course in that myself pretty soon.

Steph arrives to check up on her too (Lauren requested it) and warns her to expect others to do so too! Paige decides to make it a positive thing - company!

After Paige goes to take a call (probably from Lauren to check that Steph is checking up on her!), Karl asks Steph how it's going at her place. "Pretty much as you'd expect - emotional and uncomfortable," she replies and Karl knows things has been tough on her. Steph feels guilty that she's contributed to everything, so owes it to Toadie/Sonya to step up for them.

KARL: You couldn't possibly have known it would go this way.
STEPH: No, I mean we all knew that the surrogacy would be complicated but I just don't think that any of us could have predicted both relationships imploding.
KARL: Mmm. Do you think you and Mark might have survived if you hadn't gone down this road?
STEPH: I don't see the point in hypotheticals Karl, I just want to focus on the future and whatever that brings.

Number 30
Sonya is in bed with Mark lying beside her but on top of the covers. She admits to him that she doesn't know what she would have done without him lately.

SONYA: I always thought there were two men I could depend upon. Turns out there's only one.
MARK: You only need one.

She reminds him that he's got his own life/his own stuff to deal with and he's hurting as much as she is.

MARK: Hey, you're my best friend.
SONYA: But I can't just expect you to be there for me always no matter what.
MARK: Yes you can, I always will be. I'm not going anywhere, promise. You mean the world to me, you know that right?

Sonya doesn't reply, just continues looking at Mark (they're lying side on towards each other in the bed) and he leans over and kisses her. Mark then pulls back but Sonya doesn't say anything, instead she leans over and kisses him and the kiss soon develops into the pair pashing... seriously pashing!
