Lassiter's Lake
Paige and John are walking across the bridge. Paige asks John if he's sure he's ready for a relationship, and he says he is. Paige therefore suggests they have their first date tonight - dinner at her place. They agree to meet at seven. They kiss again, and Paige leaves.
John looks happy, but the grin soon fades from his face when he makes eye-contact with Julie Quill, who's standing outside the hotel. As they look at one another, John gets a call on his mobile from Mark. Julie looks alarmed, and walks off. Mark asks John to come to the police station, and he says he'll be there shortly...
Roll titles.

Karl, Sheila and Gary are gathered to hear Ben and Xanthe explain themselves regarding the $10,000 they stole from Tom Quill's hotel room. Karl is furious that Ben would do something so dishonest, but Xanthe says it was her fault.
XANTHE: I thought, if I don't take it, then someone else will.
SHEILA: Sure, why not? Steal away, then (!)
XANTHE: We were clearly going to give it back. We just... accidentally spent some.
Ben then admits Angus stole his share, and Karl realises that's why things have been so tense between the boys. Gary suggests they march Ben and Xanthe down to the police station to fess up, and Karl and Sheila agree. Xanthe is furious at Gary.
XANTHE: The only reason I told you about this is because I thought that you would help us!
GARY: Princess, helping you means teaching you right from wrong, so you don't end up like me and your mother!

Sheila smiles.
Erinsborough Police Station
Bringing John into the interview room, Mark tells him that there's been a development in the boiler sabotage investigation.
MARK: You've lost your alibi. Wendy Iris changed her story.
JOHN: She lied? Why would she do that?
MARK: Before we get into that, I need you to take a look at a photo, and see if you can identify it for me. Do you know this person?
Mark shows John a photograph. We don't see who it's of, but for John, the recognition is instant. He goes into a cold sweat and looks traumatised.
Harold's Café
Terese is fiddling with her mobile phone, while Paige talks to Lauren and a moody-looking Brad at the counter. Keen to get them out of the house tonight so she can have her date with John, she suggests they go for a meal after the Lassiter's reopening, which takes place later following the unveiling of a memorial plaque. Brad isn't sure he wants to go, but Terese says she can't go alone.
Lauren suggests that going to the reopening could help Brad heal, and Terese agrees that it would allow them to get some closure for Josh and Doug.
TERESE: It's better than hanging onto bitterness.
BRAD: Alright. We'll go.
Terese and Brad head off to the hotel for the plaque unveiling. Lauren promises that she and Paige will catch them up. Once they're gone, Lauren reveals to Paige that Brad is still annoyed with her, for keeping her kiss with Ned from him.
PAIGE: I thought you guys made up over that?
LAUREN: He's trying.
PAIGE: Well, he needs to build a bridge.
LAUREN: Hey - it's one thing to want to forgive someone. It's another thing to actually be able to.
Lassiter's
Toadie, Terese and Walter arrive in the newly refurbished Lassiter's reception area. In the background we can see Brad and Lauren not saying anything to one another, and Paige with them. Terese says she wanted Piper to be here, but that she knows Piper's angry with Lassiter's for firing Terese after what happened. Julie is nearby, talking to Sonya.
Piper comes in, much to Terese's relief. She says she couldn't let Terese do it on her own. Shortly afterwards, Julie makes a speech to the Willises.
JULIE: The Quill Group thank you for coming to this private family unveiling of a plaque in remembrance of the sad events that we've all experienced recently. We wanted to hold this ceremony ahead of the public reopening today, which I hope that you will also attend. We offer our sincere and profound condolences for the loss that your family has suffered. And I would now like to hand it over to Mayor Sonya Rebecchi to officially unveil the plaque.
SONYA: This duty is something that I never hoped to perform. But I'm honoured to be asked to do it today.
She unveils the plaque, and everyone gets tearful. It reads: 'In loving memory of Joshua Willis and Doug Willis, cherished members of the Erinsborough community.'
Erinsborough Police Station
Mark re-enters the interview with a worried-looking John, and puts a large bag down on the table.
MARK: Recognise this?
JOHN: Yeah.
MARK: Two constables were sent to the address that you recalled. They found this bag with your ID in it. Your story checks out.

John nods sombrely.
Shortly afterwards, Mark is on the phone to a colleague.
MARK: We have the opportunity to make an arrest, but we need to do this right - otherwise I'll have Crabb on my back.
At this point Sheila and Karl turn up, with a contrite-looking Ben and Xanthe in tow. Mark tells them that whatever it is will have to wait, but Sheila and Karl insist it can't.
SHEILA: These two sneaky little buggers stole a whole heap of money from Tom Quill's hotel room, and they've only just told us now!
MARK: Alright, when did this happen?
KARL: On the day of the explosion.
MARK: What? You were in the hotel that day?!
BEN: Yeah.
Mark summons them into the interview room. Ben explains it wasn't planned - it was just a spur-of-the-moment decision.
KARL: Not that that matters!
XANTHE: Well, technically, it does. You know, it's like manslaughter instead of murder.
MARK: Okay. What time did you arrive at the hotel?
XANTHE: It was early, around ten-ish?
Mark realises that Ben and Xanthe may have seen something relating to the boiler investigation, so tries to jog their memories about who they saw before the blast. Sheila's confused as to why Mark is asking about that, but Mark shows both teens a photograph of someone, and asks if they saw them on the day.
XANTHE: Nah.
BEN: Yeah.
MARK: You sure?
BEN: Yeah. I did.
MARK: Where was this?
BEN: On my way in. I went through the back entrance, and she was talking to some guy.
Mark asks Ben to concentrate, and describe the man he saw...

Xanthe comes in, and Gary is surprised when she tells him that the police had 'nothing much' to say about the stolen money. She explains they're going to ask Tom Quill if he wants to press charges.
XANTHE: So it's all happy face! You don't need to worry!
GARY: You see, that's not exactly true. I don't like the fact you were in a hotel room with a boy.
XANTHE: And I don't like the fact that you didn't tell me about your parole.
GARY: I told you, I wanted it to be a surprise.
XANTHE: Or were you just not ready to see me?
GARY: Of course I wanted to see you! You're my princess.
Xanthe points out that Gary previously sabotaged his parole so he wouldn't have to come home and deal with her. He admits he wasn't sure he could be a good father to her then.
XANTHE: What's changed? You've only ever been a part-time dad.
GARY: Yeah, I know. And I want to make up for that.
XANTHE: Okay. What's the deal? Are you gonna live here with me and Gran?
GARY: If you think you can put up with me?
XANTHE: Of course I can put up with you! I missed you, Dad!
GARY: I missed you too, sweetheart.
They hug; and then Gary asks Xanthe to tell him everything else she's been up to while she's been living here...

Karl is giving Ben a telling off for stealing the money, keeping the truth from him and Susan about his tension with Angus, and letting Xanthe be such a bad influence.
BEN: She just has this way of saying things.
KARL: Yeah, I bet (!) Ben, you've got a good head on your shoulders. Start to use it.
BEN: Okay. Oh, erm - don't worry about the money.
KARL: Hmm?
BEN: The five grand under the counter at Off Air. Angus gave it to Grandma.
KARL: Did he? Great!

But Karl suddenly looks very flummoxed indeed, and once Ben's left the room...
KARL: Oh, great (!)
Erinsborough Police Station
Mark is interviewing Jacka Hills.
MARK: It's up to you. But if I was in your shoes, I'd be talking.
JACKA: That's because you're a pig!
They both laugh.
MARK: Yeah. Or, maybe it's because I have two separate eyewitnesses who put you at the hotel on the morning in question.
JACKA: Maybe I was making a reservation?
MARK: You were seen having a conversation with a person of interest. Phone records show that they called your phone number twice the day prior. You might also be interested to know that John Doe, the person who lost his memory in the explosion, now recalls everything that happened. He gave us information about you. We have enough for a case.
JACKA: So, go ahead, then.
MARK: Oh, we will. We want the person who gave you the orders.
JACKA: ...
MARK: If you talk, I'll go easy on you.

Lauren has dressed up for the Lassiter's reopening, and Paige gushes about how amazing she looks.
PAIGE: Dad, doesn't she look super-hot?
BRAD: ... Yeah, she always does.
But it's still awkward between Lauren and Brad as they leave for the reopening. Paige looks worried.
Lassiter's Complex
Brad and Lauren arrive at the Complex. In the courtyard, Piper tells Brad that Terese has been a 'bit wobbly' and had to go and take a break. She's about to go and fetch her, when Brad stops her.
BRAD: Hey, listen. I know this has been hard for you too.
PIPER: Pop and Josh would have wanted me to be here.
While Piper goes to find Terese, Lauren and Brad join Sonya, Walter and Toadie outside the hotel for the reopening. Terese then emerges with Piper, and Brad excuses himself from Lauren to go and talk to them. Lauren looks worried. Terese tells Piper and Brad that she couldn't have done this without the two of them. Julie Quill comes to the microphone and starts speaking.
JULIE: Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention, please? Welcome, everyone, to the official reopening of the Lassiter's hotel. But we're not calling this a celebration, because we're all very much aware that this relaunch has come about due to a tragic interlude in our hotel's history. But I also know that we have the community support to move forward, and with a promise that we will be better than before. So I ask you all to embrace this relaunch, with the cutting of the ribbon. Mayor Rebecchi, could you do the honours?
Sonya poses for photographs with Julie, and is just about to cut the ribbon, when Mark arrives with two police colleagues.
MARK: Julie Quill...
SONYA: Mark, we're in the middle of the launch.
MARK: We need you to come to the station for questioning, in regards to the hotel explosion.
JULIE: Your timing is appalling! Whatever it is can wait.
MARK: Well I insist that you come now.
JULIE: And I insist that you wait until this event is over.
MARK: Are you refusing to comply?
JULIE: Yes! Yes, I am.
MARK: Julie Quill, you are under arrest. Come with me.
Mark grabs Julie and carts her off to the station, while the press continue to take photos. Everyone else looks worried.
Erinsborough Police Station
Mark walks Julie into the station.
JULIE: You are out of your mind arresting me on the say-so of a known felon!
MARK: You mean, your accomplice?
JULIE: I have got no idea what you're talking about!
MARK: You'll have your chance to have your say in the interview.
JULIE: Well, trust me - you will be paying damages to my business, and my reputation.
MARK: Have you ever had your fingerprints taken?
JULIE: Of course I haven't had my fingerprints taken! Which you would know if you had done your job properly.
But Mark leads her into the interview room, just as Jacka is being led out by other police officers. Jacka sees John in one of the offices as he walks by, and Julie sees John as well. She gapes at him.
JULIE (to Mark): You have made a serious error in judgement, and I urge you most strongly to rectify this before this farce gets any worse!

Xanthe is telling Gary about her almost-decision to get plastic surgery, explaining that she was in a 'bad headspace'. A shocked Gary says he's disappointed in himself and Xanthe's mum for setting a bad example.
GARY: I'm a crook, and she's a scammer. Have you heard from her?
XANTHE: ... No.
GARY: What about Jesse? (Jessie?)
XANTHE: No. Do not mention that name! And don't mention it to anyone else.
GARY: Well, here's where the bad parenting stops.
They hug again.
GARY: Enough hugs. You're grounded.
XANTHE: Okay.
Xanthe smiles and goes to her room, just as Sheila comes in. Gary confronts Sheila about everything that's been going on with Xanthe that she's been keeping from him. Sheila admits they've had a few teething problems.
GARY: Wild parties, foster homes, cyber-bullies, stolen money, plastic surgery! Those are what you call teething problems?!
SHEILA: I did my best! I'm sorry if it wasn't good enough for you!

Gary says it must have been tough, but not to worry - he'll be doing the parenting from now on.
SHEILA: What, you?!
GARY: Yes, me. I'm her father; you're relieved of your duty!
SHEILA: Why?!
GARY: Because it's pretty obvious that you can't handle her! Just like you couldn't handle me and Nomes! And we all know how that turned out.
SHEILA: Gary Francis Canning, are you blaming me for raising you as a good-for-nothing no-hoper? Because that is hardly fair!
GARY: Yeah, well, who else am I supposed to blame?
The Waterhole
Piper fetches Terese, who is sitting alone, a soft drink, before leaving her to join a congregation of Ramsay Street residents - comprising Brad, Lauren, Karl, Toadie, Sonya and Ben - to discuss the day's events.
SONYA: So does this mean that Paul is innocent?
PIPER: I was right to give him the benefit of the doubt.
TOADIE: Truth's finally coming out.
KARL: Well, the courts did find him guilty!
TOADIE: Why arrest Julie, then?
PIPER: They must have found new evidence that links her to the explosion.
SONYA: Yes, but why would she blow up her own hotel?
KARL: It doesn't make any sense.
TOADIE: Until we know more, it's probably best that we don't speak ill of her.
Brad notices Terese looking upset in the background, and goes over to talk to her.
TERESE: What if we were wrong, Brad?
Erinsborough Police Station
Mark is interviewing Julie Quill.
MARK: A massive insurance payout? A glamorous relaunch? What more motive does a hotel owner need?
JULIE: And tell me, how is it in my business's best interests to attract bad publicity, and then kill our guests?!
MARK: Well, maybe things didn't work out the way you thought they were going to?
JULIE: And maybe you're just barking up the wrong tree?
MARK: You paid to have the boiler damaged, and then you tried to cover your tracks, didn't you?
JULIE: No.
MARK: We have sworn statements. You bribed a witness to give a false alibi.
JULIE: She's just a disgruntled employee.
MARK: We have another one. From Jacka Hills. You offered him $10,000 to damage the boiler, and then frame Paul Robinson.
JULIE: He's a liar.
MARK: You know, there is one other witness. A very trustworthy one. Someone who knows what you did, and why you did it. You saw him earlier. He'd just finished giving a statement.
JULIE: Yeah, well - he doesn't remember anything.
MARK: I'm happy to say he does. It's over, Julie. And if you don't cooperate with us, you're making things a whole lot worse for yourself.
Julie looks worried.

Paige is all dressed up, and is setting the table for her special dinner date with John. She looks pleased with her efforts.
Erinsborough Police Station
John is looking very upset, as Mark talks to him.
MARK: Julie has confessed to everything.
JOHN: I don't know what to say.
MARK: Do you need to make a call?
JOHN: ... How am I gonna tell Paige?
No 32
Paige is lighting the candles for dinner, when Mark walks in.
PAIGE: I was expecting...
MARK: John. Yeah.
PAIGE: What's going on?
MARK: His memory's come back. He's asked me to bring you down to the station, so he can explain.
Erinsborough Police Station
Mark and Paige arrive at the station, and she demands to know what's going on. Mark says John will explain everything; it has to come from him.
PAIGE: Mark, if he's in trouble in any way, I deserve to know what's going on. Cos I'm gonna back him up no matter what.
MARK: Yeah, I know.
PAIGE: I love him.
Mark doesn't reply, but goes into the interview room. Shortly afterwards, John himself comes out into the waiting area. Paige looks up at him.
John is dressed in a full priest's outfit, dog-collar and all!
