Near The Handywoman
Amy remarks to John that they are late, and he says the fact she's working is a good thing, unless it means she's not dealing with what's happened. She asks if he was a psychoanalyst... Then he sees a young woman he thinks he knows. Amy tells him to go, but he doesn't manage to catch her.
Roll credits.
Harold's
John and Amy chat about who the woman might be. He says she had brown hair.
JOHN: Dr Kennedy said I spoke of a girl like that during my hypnotherapy session. I know I've seen her before.
AMY: Yeah, but half the population has brown hair.
Brown-haired Paige wanders in.
AMY: See what I mean?
Paige is managing today as Lauren is Not In This Episode™. She asks if they want a drink, and is insulted when John says no.
No 28
Angus has made breakfast, and promises that next time, he'll do a proper "English fry-up". Karl insists on black pudding, which he loves, and Susan says he's never eaten it.
KARL: It's recently been elevated to the status of a super food.
SUSAN: You're a super food.
KARL: You are.
SUSAN: Says who?
ANGUS: (laughs)
KARL: Please don't laugh, Angus. It only encourages her.
Angus comments that it's obvious they're in love. Ben appears, having a bad hair day. Susan tells him to have a cooked breakfast, but he declines, and Angus says he's going out for a skate. Ben is surprised he's not grounded, so he assumes Susan didn't realise who was responsible. Angus says she did...
BEN: And you're not being punished?
Angus says no, and he doesn't know why. Ben scowls.
A car park
Tyler is giving Piper a driving lesson.
She drives into Ramsay Street. He tells her she "did great", and she tells him she's got a good teacher. He asks about Terese, and Piper says she is settling in well. He apologises for leaving the previous evening, but "you know...". He gets out, confirming that they are doing the photo-shoot later.
No 26
Aaron and Xanthe tell Ben that they have sold nearly all their stock and they have only made $2300. Ben says he could ask his grandparents, since Susan was mellow enough to let Angus off.
AARON: Graffiti is one thing. Stealing thousands of dollars and then lying about where you were during the explosion, that is one a whole other level.
XANTHE: Yeah, Aaron's right. You're gonna have to tell her the whole story.
BEN: She might appreciate my honesty.
XANTHE: Or she'll put you on the first plane back to your mum. I guarantee it.
No 28
Susan has found Mark's suit, and is horrified to hear that the money is not going to charity, but that he and Xanthe need it.
BEN: I can't believe you're freaking out about this. It's not like we're taking their money.
SUSAN: You and Xanthe will donate the money or you're grounded.
He tells her to stay out of their business.
Ramsay Street
Xanthe and Piper are setting up for the photo-shoot. Xanthe is going on about how amazing Ben is. She says that had a moment...
XANTHE: You know, the type where like your whole world stops.
Xanthe continues, and Piper has a moment as Tyler walks down his drive, gratuitously pushing his T shirt up. Piper denies having any moments, as Tyler donates some old T-shirts. Ben would look amazing in these, apparently.
Harold's
Paige comes into the kitchen to tell Amy that Jimmy is outside and he's not his usual cheery self. Amy says he's struggling with G-Dad being inside. John says that he needs time to readjust. Paige comments that Amy is obviously finding it difficult too, and invites her for a girls' night out with her and Courtney. Amy's not sure.
AMY: Ah, hooking up with random guys, it's not really my thing.
Paige looks over at John and tells Amy she doesn't know what she's missing. John says he needs to go and get a hacksaw, and he leaves. Paige looks disappointed.
Ramsay Street
Angus is taking photos of Xanthe, and suggests that she hold a handbag. She asks Piper to pass her one, but Piper is staring at Tyler. Angus continues taking photos, then Ben stomps up, annoyed that Angus is helping. He tells Angus he should go back to England, but Angus says he likes it and Karl and Susan like having him around. Ben shoves him.
BEN: If you'd been that nice to your own parents, they wouldn't have dumped you here.
He shoves Angus again, and Angus punches him. He pushes Angus over and they fight on the ground, while the others try to get them to stop. Eventually Tyler drags Ben away.
Waterhole
Susan approaches Aaron and asks if he knew that Ben and Xanthe were keeping the money. He looks uncomfortable, then asks Susan if she knows what the money is for. She insists that she expects the money to go to charity. He claims they earned it:
AARON: They provided an early spring-cleaning service, taking unwanted items of clothing from people's closets.
Susan is not impressed by this argument. She gets a call from Karl, during which Aaron makes his escape.
No 28
Karl asks Ben if it was true that he started the fight, saying that if things don't improve they will have to contact Libby. Susan says that all the lying and fighting is not like him.
BEN: You guys are so nice to Angus and always really tough on me.
Susan and Karl exchange a look, and she says that they are nice to Angus because they feel for him.
SUSAN: His mum's...away.
BEN: My mum's away too.
Susan asks Ben if she and Karl can have a private word. She says that she *is* overcompensating and it isn't fair, but the cancer has to remain a secret. Of course, private words in Erinsborough don't remain so... and Ben asks who has cancer.
Karl explains that they were sworn to secrecy, and that even Angus doesn't know. He says that they have to respect Sarah's wishes.
BEN: Angus deserves to know.
Harold's
Paige asks Amy where John is, telling her that she didn't hook up with anyone.
PAIGE: There were guys interested but all I could think about was John. I wanted him to think that I had moved on, that I wasn't pining after him 24/7.
Paige says she's sick of John saying something is holding him back. Amy tells her to be honest with him.
No 28 / Power Street
Ben is looking at a wedding picture of Libby and Drew. He says he never got to know his dad, and misses the idea of him, but he has a mum who is coming back. Angus has a dad who doesn't care, and a mum who might not return.
BEN: Not that he knows about that.
While they talk, we see Angus skateboarding in Power Street.
Ben asks Susan if she's prepared for the possibility that Angus might have to stay indefinitely. He points out that Angus has already been thrown out of 5 schools. Susan says they are not going to turn their backs on their commitment. He says that he could leave if it gets too much for them.
SUSAN: We love having rowdy kids in the house. Apart from the odd graffiti scam or the charity clothing scam...But thank you for caring.
She reminds him not to say anything to Angus.
No 24 - outside
Piper and Tyler are looking through the photos of Xanthe. Piper invites Tyler over to give her a second opinion on the photoshopped pictures and the rest of the Pad Thai.
TYLER: I do like Pad Thai.
PIPER: Me too.
TYLER: But sometimes...going back for more isn't the healthiest option. For anyone. That second helping feels like a good idea at the time, but the next day you realise it was all a mistake and you should have known when to stop.
PIPER: OK.
TYLER: So maybe it's best if I don't go over to your house.
Piper looks disappointed.
No 28
Ben apologises to Angus, who is surprised. Ben asks him if he'd like to do something later, and Angus says he'll just chill, so Ben says he'll be around anyway.
ANGUS: Wow, Susan must have really done a number on you.
BEN: What do you mean?
ANGUS: You're being weirdly nice.
Ben goes to his room, leaving Angus looking bewildered.
The Handywoman
Paige tells John that, contrary to what she said at Harold's, she hasn't moved on, and she doesn't think he wants her to. While she is talking, John sees Mystery Girl getting into a van marked with "Braun and Bell Technologies". He tells Paige that he knows the logo. He jumps in the ute, and drives off after her. Paige looks exasperated.
