Robinsons motel
Steph tries to reassure Amy that Paul hasn't done a runner because of anything she has done and tries to reassure her friend that Paul could still be nearby as he can't go far without money... until she sees that he's cleared the motel out of their money ($3k).

STEPH: I don't think he's coming back.

Number 24
Ben/Piper are waiting for Aaron to come home from running to have a go at him for Xanthe wanting breast surgery as they think he put the idea into her head. Aaron denies their accusations and asks them to leave it to him to talk to her.

Robinsons motel
"Promise you won't go all cop on me?" Steph asks when Mark arrives at the motel after she called him. She should have saved her breath because he isn't amused when she tells him that Paul's done a runner but after Steph begs him for some time, he (very reluctantly) gives her 30 minutes otherwise he's calling it in.

Number 28
Karl has a word with Angus when he arrives home, wondering why he thinks he's his father and his reply is they had an affair, she's dumped him there and Karl has accepted it. "We've taken you in because we care," Karl tries to tell him but Angus isn't believing what he is saying.

KARL: Angus, I swear to you, I am not your father.

If he wants further proof, Karl suggests he does the maths because it's "technically impossible!" That seems to stop him in his tracks and Karl reassures the lad that he (and Susan) like having teens around even if they are high maintenance!

Ben arrives home and asks Angus if he knows what Xanthe is up to.

Number 32
Lauren and Brad are in the backyard going through what should be thrown out for the hard rubbish collection but he does a runner to respond to a text he got.

"Bet I know where he's off to!" Ned comments to Lauren and suggests she goes to borrow a cup of sugar!

Rush Street Clinic
The receptionist tells Xanthe that her appointment shouldn't be too much longer and as she waits, someone else calls to see her - Angus. He tries to tell her that it wasn't because of her looks that he finished with her but she's not listening and tries to explain that she's doing it for her career, not because of him.

After he leaves, the receptionist goes over to tell Xanthe that she will "love the new you," and after taking a look at her own chest, adds that it was the best thing she ever did!

Number 22
Terese is freaking out that if Julie could put 2+2 together then so will everyone else and when Brad suggests again going to talk to Mark, especially to ease her mental health issues, she vetoes it because it will ruin them both.

TERESE: I can't, not after everything.

He comes over to her and tenderly, putting his hand on her face, makes it his job that nobody will find out. They are just about to hug too but back off after spotting that Lauren is in the backyard.

Ramsay Street
"It's not what you think," Brad says while trying to chase after Lauren as she scampers across the street to #32. She wants to know what is going on but he doesn't reply to that, simply states that he isn't cheating. Lauren acknowledges that he wouldn't cheat but is frustrated that he can't/won't tell her what is going on, he simply pleads for her to trust him as he doesn't want to break Terese's confidence she's placed him in. She wants them both to go check on Terese but he doesn't want that, and so she sends him back to #22 "because it's obviously important," while continuing to hurry to her own home.

Angus rushes back to the street to get hold of Aaron because Xanthe isn't having a consultation, she's having surgery now!

Robinsons motel
Steph is hunting for clues in Paul's room when Mark enters to say nobody (taxi/bus drivers) has seen him and after Amy returns with no news despite her door knocking, Mark calls it in.

Rush Street Clinic
Xanthe runs over a final few things with the surgeon and is told she'll be taken into theatre shortly. The surgeon is curious why her mum isn't with her and she lies, saying she's delayed at an over-running conference in London.

As she sits waiting, and pondering on the sight of some young girl being escorted out by her dad? after having a nose job, she gets another visitor - Aaron!

AARON: Good, I caught you.
XANTHE: Not you too!

He gives her food for thought by telling her about his own surgery (for pec implants) as he thought it would make him like one of the other dancers but despite the surgery, he still felt down and had to undergo a lot of therapy to rebuild his confidence.

AARON: And to make me realise that changing yourself on the outside, it doesn't make you feel better on the inside. Xanthe, if you're anything like I am, your problem it's up here (touches his temple). You are beautiful, gorgeous and I know everyone's been telling you that but at the end of the day the only person who needs to believe it is you.

Number 32
Lauren thanks Ned for sorting out the hard rubbish, but he thought it good to do since his dad is so slack. He can pick up that she is peeved, so she confides in him that he's right, there is something private going on between Brad and Terese. "Brad didn't tell you what?" he asks and she repeats that apparently it's nothing for her to worry about. "And I trust him," she also adds in and thinks she is being naïve and asks when does her feelings take priority (earlier Brad wanted to throw out an esky but Lauren didn't as it was something Matt used).

LAUREN: Listen, you don't have to get worked up over this on my account! Really, I'm fine!

"Alright," he replies and says he is there for her if she needs him but adds that he doesn't like how Brad is treating her, she deserves so much better.

Number 22
Brad wants them to let Lauren in on their secret but Terese refuses to give her consent as she thinks Lauren may blab in a moment of weakness, which ultimately ends up with the police finding out.

Their conversation is halted when Mark enters the backyard to inform them that Paul has disappeared.

The Waterhole
Piper tells Angus/Ben the news that Aaron hasn't got through to Xanthe and that they have to come up with something to stop her from going through with the surgery. Ben doesn't think the surgeon would listen to them but Piper spots that Sheila is working and thinks that despite their concerns about betraying Xanthe, she is the only person to get the surgery stopped.

ANGUS: Pipers right, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
PIPER: Yes and hopefully she'll forgive us... one day!

The teens walk over to where Sheila is and despite her wanting them to leave, she's all ears when they mention Xanthe.

Number 24
Ned is round to lend Tyler a hand with sorting the stuff out for the hard rubbish collection...Mark's orders! Their attention wanes when Ned's phone bleeps and Tyler thinks it's his date courtesy of the app. He explains about going on a date with her and now she won't stop messaging him.

TYLER: It must be tough being that irresistible!

Ned then says all the texts do is remind him that he's after some other woman but he doesn't tell Tyler who, just that she's older. "Cougar!" is Tyler's thoughts and suggests he's got nothing to lose.

Rush Street Clinic
The surgeon comes to collect Xanthe but she doesn't go through with the surgery because she is having doubts and is told she'll lose her deposit. Just at that, Sheila bursts into the room (ignoring like the others a sign saying staff only!) firmly telling the surgeon to keep her "filthy scalpel away from my granddaughter!"

Sheila is unamused to discover that the surgeon has fallen for Xanthe sending in a consent email supposedly from her mum.

XANTHE: I'm really sorry Gran.
SHEILA: Don't you apologise, it's this so-called doctor that's in the wrong!

After putting Xanthe out of the room, Sheila then turns on the doctor

SHEILA: How dare you tell my beautiful granddaughter that she needs to change anything on her body! I have a good mind to report you to the authorities!

Robinsons motel
Steph is downcast as she/Amy talk about her losing the bail money although both hope that Paul does turn up for court a) so Steph gets her money and b) so Amy can see Paul get his day in court.

The pair of them then receive some visitors - Brad and Terese (and Ned is lurking around too having taken over some stuff to the motel on Tyler's behalf). Terese accuses Steph of hiding Paul and she is aghast at that suggestion, telling her that she wants him back as much as Terese does.

STEPH: You think I want to lose this place?!

Brad is surprised she put everything on the line for Paul, knowing that he'd be a flight risk and she explains that it's because he isn't guilty. "Innocent people don't go on the run," Brad says but Steph tries to explain that he only went on the run because of the witch hunt. She is also suss at Cecilia's statement too since it wasn't mentioned during their chat and thinks that someone has put her up to it (looking straight at Terese!).

TERESE: Oh come on, now you're clutching at straws.
STEPH: No, it makes sense.
TERESE: No it doesn't! Paul killed our son and our son's grandfather, so he needs to comeback and face what he's done or we'll do everything in our powers to make sure that you pay!

Number 32
Lauren tests the temperature of the water in the pool before going to remove her sarong. "Going in?" Ned calls out, startling her and she replies back that she is thinking about it. He walks over to her, saying that he knows she doesn't want to discuss things about her/Brad, and that he respects that, but wanted to tell her that he thinks she's incredible. Lauren thanks him for his words.

NED: I really care about you.
LAUREN: I care about you too.

She's not twigged the sentimentality behind what he said, so asks how his date went last night. He explains that she wasn't really his type because he wants "a woman that's open and sensitive...a woman like you," and as he finishes saying those last words, it coincided with Lauren turning round and being right at his face so he kisses her but it's very one sided!
