No.32 Backyard
Ned and Brad are in the pool. Lauren offers them a snack as they get out of the pool. Tyler and Piper arrive. Ned invites Piper to come and get some supplies for Doug's bar after Ned has had a shower. Piper declines as she wants to talk to Brad about something. Ned goes to have a shower and Brad asks what's going on. Piper says she was going to the police herself. Brad and Lauren are shocked about this. Piper thinks Ned might be responsible for the explosion.

Cue titles!

Piper wants to know if Ned said he arrived mid morning and went to see Doug straight after he got in why does the message say otherwise? Also that Ned hid the fact he knew about the Citizen of the Year Award. Tyler adds that Ned was angry about it. Brad says that maybe Doug was confused and it was a misunderstanding. Piper wants to know why Ned was acting weird when Piper tried to discuss it with him. Brad says Paul has been arrested and Tyler points out Paul insists he's been framed. Piper wonders if Ned's behind it as well. Brad says Ned doesn't know Paul and how would Ned pull off something like this? Tyler suggests Ned had help from an old gang friend. Brad realises that Lauren knows something. Lauren should have told Brad earlier but she didn't want to derail Brad bonding with Ned. Lauren confesses Ned set up the images at the ceremony. Brad is stunned.

Geelong Hostel
Paige is looking for John and goes to the wrong room by accident. John arrives at the hostel. Paige tells him she's been looking for him everywhere and wants to know where he's been. John explains he couldn't sleep and was wandering around. He was hoping it would trigger something. He asks what's happening with the photo. Paige has put it online but she hasn't had any luck yet. She's sent it to Mark as well. John suggests they show it around in case someone recognises him. John was here in this building so someone must surely know whom he is. John doesn't think he's related to the other guy. Paige suggests it's his adopted brother or have different mothers. She has a few brothers herself! John suggests a client and Paige suggests a lover. John doesn't think this man is his type. They laugh and head out.

No.30
Sonya apologises for telling Terese Amy was with Paul, Terese knew Sonya knew something. Amy says it's not Sonya's fault. Terese has said the contract is off unless Amy breaks contact with Paul. Sonya says it's a tough call. Amy isn't sure what to do. Should she fight this as it then might seem she's on Paul's side? Amy apologises as Sonya needs to get back to work. Sonya says the extra 30 minutes won't make the conference speech any better! Sonya advises Amy should decide how she feels about Paul. Amy wants to believe Paul is innocent and he is adamant he is. Sonya asks if Amy's starting to believe Paul. Amy points out Steph believes Paul and he's done terrible things to Steph. Sonya wants to know about Amy though. Amy doesn't think Paul meant to hurt anyone but he didn't know Amy would be there. Paul tried to get Daniel and Terese out, Sonya admits it's pretty damning. Amy thinks Paul caused the explosion.

No.32 Backyard
Brad tells Lauren he knows Ned and he have had issues in the past but he doesn't think Ned would be capable of this. Lauren points out they don't know anything for sure. Brad questions why Lauren didn't tell him about the video. Lauren didn't want to upset Brad. Lauren made a breakthrough when she confronted Ned afterwards. Brad says that Lauren admitted Ned was in a bad head space on the day of the explosion. Lauren comments it's a big leap to believe Ned tampered with the boiler. Brad has said himself Paul has been charged and there's evidence against him. Brad reminds Lauren Paul says the evidence was planted. Brad doesn't want to think it either. Ned is angry and has massive secret animosity towards Brad and Terese. He has misled them all on his movements. Lauren says Brad needs to confront Ned as Brad can't go on wondering about this. Brad suggests he accuses Ned of killing Josh and Doug what if he's wrong?

Geelong
Paige knows it's been an epic 24 hours, she is delirious but she needs to say they nearly kissed last night. They need to put it on the table for discussion. John agrees they should talk about it later. He can't deal with that right now as he needs to stay focused. They need to figure out what they do next. Paige thinks they've done all they can do for now. John points out it was Paige's idea to come here. Paige says they've been at it all morning and yesterday and they haven't found anything promising. John points to the photo and says they're on the edge of a breakthrough. Paige suggests they clear their heads, go home and regroup. John reminds her he doesn't have a home. That's the whole point and he doesn't know where he's from. Paige apologises and says they need to rest and work out what's going on between them. John asks how there can be an us when he doesn't know whom he is? He is annoyed as he says he doesn't know whom he is when he looks at the photo. He won't stop until he finds someone whom will help him figure out who he is. Paige agrees and says she can't keep going on like this. John suggests they say goodbye then. Paige says he doesn't mean it but he says he does. He wishes her good luck with her life.

Robinsons Motel
Paul answers the door to Amy. Amy says she thought he was staying in the storeroom. Paul says he only does that when there's not a room available. He didn't think he would see her again. She didn't either as Terese put her in an impossible position. Paul says there's nothing impossible about it, it's obvious what she needs to do. She needs to cut him off and take the contract. Amy asks if it's what he wants. Paul gets a text message and reads it. He says the contract will set Amy and Jimmy up for years, it's what's best so she should take it. It is what he wants. Amy is stunned as Paul insists he's innocent and Terese has got it wrong. Paul agrees with this but Terese has lost Doug and Josh so she's going to believe what she believes. In her shoes Paul is sure he'd do the same thing. Amy says Paul seems to admire Terese. Paul admits Terese is a fierce and uncompromising woman. She would move heaven and earth to protect her own. Paul can relate to that. Paul confirms he's protecting Amy and Jimmy. She asks if he's ok not having them in his life. Paul isn't ok with it but it's what needs to happen. They should stay away from him even if it makes him miserable. It doesn't matter how it makes him feel so she should go and not see him again. He holds the door for Amy to leave.

No.32 Backyard
Ned arrives back and has got everything they need. Brad says it's good to see the Willis woodworking genes are still going strong. Brad just wishes Doug and Josh were here to see it. Brad will regret not spending time with him and Doug, the Willis boys all together. Ned says he would have liked that. Brad comments it must have been weird showing up on the first day at the hotel, going to meet Josh and Doug. Ned agrees it was and Brad asks him how he felt. Ned says he felt nervous and excited. Brad mentions Ned was one of the last people to have a conversation with Doug and asks what they talked about. Ned says that Piper was quizzing him about this stuff yesterday and asks if Brad wants to ask something. Brad says the vlog has got him thinking and he's turning it over in his head. If that's all Ned's going to grab a drink. Lauren comes out and Brad says he can't do it. He can't accuse Ned of what happened that day.

Geelong
Paige looks at the posters at the hostel and puts them in the bin. She then thinks about it and takes them out again. She then goes to find John on the pier. She tells him he's really playing up the damsel in distress thing. John thought she would be on the way to Melbourne by now. Paige was and she packed up all her things. John realises she still wants to help him. Paige says she's a sucker for a good mystery. She couldn't let him do this on his own, they've come too far. They agree what happened between them isn't a priority. They will concentrate on finding out whom John is.

The Waterhole
Terese is doing some paperwork at the bar as she watches someone fill a glass with champagne. Amy arrives and tells Terese she can't accept her deal. Terese checks that Amy would give up a lucrative deal for Paul. Amy says she only will if Terese makes her do this. Amy says she's still the best person for the job, she's a hard worker and reasonably priced. Terese points out they were the reasons she came to Amy in the first place but Paul is the deal breaker. Terese says Amy knows what she has to do. Amy says she chooses Paul. Terese unbelievingly asks Amy if she thinks Paul is innocent. Amy has decided to keep an open mind like Steph has. Terese points out Steph has vested financial interest. Amy reminds Terese that Paul is her father and he's Jimmy's Grandad. She has to give Paul the benefit of the doubt. Terese claims there is no doubt and tells Amy she's making a terrible mistake.

Piper and Tyler are looking at her laptop when Piper receives a text. It's from Brad asking her to keep the Ned thing to herself. Piper says it's unbelievable and Tyler suggests Ned talked his way out of it. Piper suggests Brad didn't talk to Ned at all. Tyler says it would be hard as Ned is Brad's son. Tyler hopes Brad won't sit on it, it could eat him up inside. Piper suggests they speak to Terese about it. Tyler says she would make sure it was properly investigated. Piper is unsure as she'd be ratting on her brother again. Tyler points out Ned hasn't been honest from the start, he has to answer for it sooner or later. Piper goes to speak to Terese. Piper says she needs to talk to Terese about the day Josh died.

Ramsay Street
Brad is looking in the mailbox. Terese comes to ask if it's true about Ned sabotaging the Citizen of the Year Awards. Brad realises that Piper told Terese. Terese points out this could change everything and wonders how Ned is explaining all this. Brad doesn't answer and Terese realises Brad hasn't asked Ned. Brad feels so guilty. If Ned has messed up and done bad things, it's Brad's fault as he wasn't there for Ned as a kid. Terese says if that's true Brad and Terese are Ned's targets. Brad doesn't believe Ned has done it, he can't believe it. Terese says the problem is they're too close to it and they need to tell the police what they need. The police can handle it. Brad is stunned at the thought of turning in his own son as he doesn't know if Ned is involved. Terese points out Ned has nothing to worry about if he's innocent. Does Ned really hate them that much to take Josh and Doug from them?

Graveyard
Brad sorts out the flowers at Josh's grave and looks at the headstone.

Geelong Hostel
Paige thanks Bailey, calling him a genius over the phone and rings off. Paige explains to John that Bailey is her little brother and his uni friends are serious IT nerds. John points out he could be a serious IT nerd! Paige says she meant it as a compliment and these guys know their stuff. They're putting John's photo up on the Dark Web. John says it sounds like a bad superhero movie! Paige explains it's a part of the internet that's completely unpoliced. John wants to know why he would be on there. aige explains people go on there if they don't want their activity tracked, maybe John was big on piracy. John wants Paige to know how grateful he is, she's gone above and beyond the call of duty. Paige says John has given her an excuse to go away so she should be thanking him. John says she shouldn't act like this isn't a big deal, she could have given up on him by now. Paige is surprised to receive a text from Bailey so soon. There is no match on John's ID but there is a match on the other guy. His name is Dustin Oliver. Paige has Dustin's e-mail address and apparently most of his activity comes from Melbourne. John wryly says they're here in Geelong! Paige is now sending an e-mail and attaching the photo. She hopes it's not another dead end.

Robinsons Motel
Paul answers the door to Amy and says he thought they agreed she'd stay away. Amy can't do that, she told Terese the contract is off. Amy chooses Paul. Paul wants to know why this is. Amy explains that it's partly because he told her not to do this. He wonders why she'd listen to him! Amy says Paul was willing to lose her and Jimmy over this because Paul thought it was the right thing to do. The bottom line is he is her Dad and she's lived without him for too long. Amy doesn't want to go through that again. Paul wants to know if Terese if ok about the decision. Amy says that Terese is far from ok and shocked about the decision. Paul is shocked as well and deeply grateful. Paul says he will earn this and aside from Jimmy Amy deserves better from the men in her life. Amy says she missed Paul and knowing he was in her corner. They share a hug and Paul tells her he was always in her corner. He promises to prove he's innocent however long it takes. He wants to be the father Amy deserves.

No.32 Backyard
Ned is doing woodwork. He notices Lauren at the railings so he greets her. He realises she continues to watch him so asks if something is wrong. Lauren explains that Piper noticed some inconsistencies during the interviews. She came across Doug's voicemail that implies Ned hasn't been completely honest about his movements on the day of the explosion. Lauren suggests if Ned tells her what happened that day it might take some weight off his shoulders. Ned says he convinced himself he didn't have a Dad, he made peace with that. When Josh called, he wanted to see Pop. He wanted to apologise for Darwin.

NED: I got in earlier than I told everyone. I needed to prepare mentally. Josh and Pop weren't due for a while so I went for a wander. I saw the staff setting up for the Citizen of the Year thing. The winner's photo was behind this curtain. I thought what the hell? No harm in me taking a look right?
LAUREN: That's how you knew Brad won?
NED: Smiling, standing there like some sort of hero. The guy who had walked out on Mum and me. I wrecked the photo. Smashed a hole right through his face, so hard I hurt my wrist. By the time I saw Pop I had calmed down, I told him what I did.
LAUREN: That explains the voicemessage. But where were you in between, after you destroyed the photo but before you met Doug?
NED: I went and saw the hotel's First Aid Officer for my wrist. I was nowhere near the boiler room. (Lauren says she believes him.) I was up in the room when it hit.

Lauren thanks him for telling her and asks if he feels any lighter. Ned admits he does and Lauren says he will feel a lot better when he tells Brad.

Geelong Hostel
Paige comes back from settling up and John apologises for not having another money to cover it all. Paige didn't mind covering it but she doesn't want him to turn out to be a serial killer. John says he can't promise that. She says it's not funny! John says he must have clocked up good deeds in his life to deserve a friend like Paige or more than a friend. She says she thought he didn't want to talk about that. John didn't want her to think it wasn't on his mind. Paige agrees though they do need to find out a few more answers before they get into anything. For all they know John might have a wife and kids who strongly object to them. John agrees. Before they leave they get a message from Dustin. He's free tomorrow. Paige says they're going to find out whom John is and they hug.

No.32 Backyard
Ned wonders what he's supposed to do. Is he meant to look Brad in the eye and admit he punched Brad's photo? Lauren suggests he shouldn't use that exact choice of words. Ned wonders if Brad will be ok about it. Lauren says Brad will be hurt but then Ned and Brad can move on with honesty. She says everything will be fine. Ned says Lauren is probably right as always. Brad arrives so sLauren says this is Ned's chance. She is going to leave them to have a chat. Brad wants to but it'so going to have to wait. The police are at the front door wanting to ask Ned a few questions. Lauren says there's been a misunderstanding and Ned asks whom called the police. Brad admits he called the police. It's not an arrest, they just want a few answers about the day of the explosion. Ned asks Brad if he thinks Ned blew up the hotel. Brad just wants to get this sorted. Ned angrily asks Brad again if Brad thinks he blew up the hotel. Lauren says no one thinks that but Ned wants to hear it from Brad. Brad is silent so Ned says he's got his answer and goes inside. Brad calls after him but Ned carries on walking.
