- Paul tells Terese he wants justice
- Mark tells Paul he will be arrested if he goes anywhere near Lassiter's
- Aaron gets a text: "I know what you did to Tom Quill"
- Nate tells Aaron to keep calm
- Brad wins Citizen of the Year
- Ned sends Sonya a video of Brad and Lauren kissing, which is played as the tribute video
Brad says if it's a joke, it's not funny. He and Lauren agree that Terese wouldn't have sent it, and it's too petty for Paul. Ned tells him it will blow over, but Brad wants to get Mark involved.
BRAD: I'm probably going to be on the front page of the Star tomorrow. "Outdoor education not just for underprivileged teens."
BRAD: I just want to know who would hate me enough to do something like this.
Ned suggests they leave.
Nate asks about Tyler, and Aaron says that he should take Tyler's lead and confess. Nate tells him not to do anything because whoever sent the text hasn't reported him. Cue another text: "Pay up or I'll tell them about Tom." He says to Nate that there's nothing about how much they want...
AARON: They're playing with me.
Mark comes round to see Steph. Paul asks him if there have been any developments in the case. He asks if they've interviewed John Doe, saying that he's a very suspicious character. Mark says it's none of his business. Steph asks him if there's anything he can say, and he replies that they are still collecting statements from people at the scene, including John. (I thought it was meant to be "weeks ago".)
John says to Paige that he feels bad for her parents. She agrees, saying it must have been mortifying. He tells her he's going to be discharged and the DHS are supplying him with accommodation in a half- way house, and second- hand clothes.
PAIGE: You're not a criminal.
JOHN: How do you know?
PAIGE: Good point.
He tells her that Mark is going to take a statement, and she tells him he'll be fine.

Lauren asks Ned if he sent the footage. She says it would be totally understandable if he resents Brad.
NED: I don't really know what you want me to say.
LAUREN: The truth would be good.
NED: Fine, yes, I resent him. He took off when I was a kid. He was so busy with his other life, that he didn't even contact us.
Ned says he wanted to hurt Brad as payback for Brad hurting him. He tells Lauren that Brad has no photos of him. Lauren says that Brad meant what he said in the speech.
NED: It's gonna take a lot more than that.
Julie arrives - she wants a chat with Aaron. She says she'd been hoping Tom wasn't in the hotel, but then they found his ID...
JULIE: What if he was there? What if he couldn't get out?
She says that even if he survived the explosion, he'd be dead by now. Aaron says he's sorry, and Julie says it's not his fault. Aaron looks uncomfortable as Julie asks if he'd seen Tom. Nate says they have to get to an appointment. Julie leaves.
AARON: I have got to put her out of her misery.
Nate points out it's weird that Julie wanted to talk to him again when all she did was ask the same questions.
NATE: I reckon she wants you to crack and confess.
AARON: You think she knows?
NATE: I reckon she's the one sending you the text messages.
Aaron wants to call her, but Nate insists that they ignore her and the messages. He takes Aaron's phone.
Mark is interviewing John, with Paige interrupting. She says he can't be a suspect, and asks Mark how he's doing with the identification. He says their best bet is a media release.

Lauren asks Brad how he thinks it's going with Ned. He says that Ned being there must mean something.
LAUREN: As long as feels he's as important as your other kids, I guess.
BRAD: Has something happened? Has Ned said something to you or...?
She says no, but points out there's evidence of his other kids around, but nothing of Ned.
Julie arrives and accuses Paul of being a murderer. He insists he's innocent, and tells her that the police are interviewing John Doe. Steph tries to calm her down. He says he knows what she's going through as he's been in the same position. She accuses him again.
JULIE: You are not going to get away with this, Paul. You are responsible, and I am going to make you pay.
Lauren asks Paige about John, and she says he's been discharged, but he's not really made any progress. She asks Lauren if he can stay with them for a while. Lauren says it's not a good time.
LAUREN: You know I think you're investing too much in this John, don't you?
PAIGE: He saved my life. I owe him.
LAUREN: Yeah, I just think a healthy caution wouldn't go astray.
PAIGE: Mum, I am being cautious.
LAUREN: But you don't know anything about him. He could be anyone. He could have a criminal record. He could have a family. Look, I'm not saying don't look out for him. I'm saying do it with both eyes open, OK?
Mark tells Paul that Julie has made a complaint about him, for harrassment. Paul says that he put his hand on her arm to comfort her, and Steph backs him up. Mark tells him that he can't keep interfering in the case, and Steph says that's not what he's doing. Paul points out he got rid of the whiteboard...
MARK: I'm just informing you that a complaint has been made against you and that your bail conditions are going to be reviewed.

Brad has a green box which contains photos of Ned, and his school reports, birthday cards and letters. He tells Ned that he also has a photo of him in his wallet.
BRAD: The last thing I would want is for you to think you were any less important than my other kids. I don't have recent photos of you or recent memories with you, and that's bad - for both of us. But we're back in contact now, so we can fix that.
NED: Sounds good.
Ned says he's sorry for what happened at the awards. Brad says it's fine and they have a beer.
Paige apologises to John that she couldn't find him somewhere decent to stay. She is trying (and failing) to drill something, but John manages it easily. She says maybe he used to do that in his previous life. Mark comes in and says they've found someone who met him before the explosion.

A shirtless Ned apologises to Lauren for being a jerk. and thanks her for not telling Brad. She says it didn't seem right, and he says neither did sending it - but he still did. She says that everyone does things they regret. As she leaves, she sees a tattoo on his back and comments that she likes it.
NED: Thanks. I designed it myself, the first time I got my heart broken.
She says it's beautiful, and they smile at each other.
Mark tells Paul that because he harrassed a witness, he has to wear an anklet at all times. Paul first offers Mark his false leg for the anklet, before reluctlantly letting Mark fit it on his good leg. He asks Mark how he can continue his investigation if he has to stay where he is.
MARK: By leaving the police work to the police. What you should hve done from the start.
PAUL: Yeah, I would have done if you lot weren't so damn incompetent.
Mark tells Paul to make sure he complies with the conditions.
Julie tells Nate that the police are close to finding out who was responsible. She wanders off, leaving her phone on the bar. Nate uses Aaron's phone to text, "Tell me what you want?" to the Mystery Texter™, but no text comes up on Julie's phone. However, someone else replies: they want 10 grand. Or, you know, Julie has two phones.
