Sonya comes round to see Aaron, with a copy of the environmental report which he dropped around earlier. Sonya remarks that the report is surprisingly positive almost like an endorsement! Aaron is surprised because he didnt get that impression when he read it, but doesnt think any more of it. As Sonya leaves, a shifty-looking Tom pops his head around the bedroom door

By the pool, Doug is having trouble putting up a sun-shade, and Imogen and Paige rush over to help him. Theyre helping him out today with his shed/bar conversion.

IMOGEN: Not that we really know the first thing about carpentry.
PAIGE: Nothing.
IMOGEN: Dad banned me from using power tools after I drilled holes in Joshs Power Ranger dolls.

Imogen is moping because she hasnt got a reply from a hello text she sent to Daniel. Paige remarks that she shouldnt be texting him, since hes the one who declared them on a break. Paige then goes into her own mope about finding out Mark and Steph slept together.

DOUG: Can you girls hear yourselves?! We all make mistakes take the hit! Learn what you can, and move on!

At that moment, a delivery guy arrives hes bringing a load of materials for the shed/bar conversion. Eagled-eyed viewers may recognise him as Andres Serna, the incompetent barman-turned-barista from Episode 7047.

ANDRES: Hola, Paige!

Paige explains to Imogen that Andres briefly worked at Harolds.

PAIGE: Terrible barista, but, god, hes hot!
IMOGEN: Okay. I should get home and study.
PAIGE: No you will not!

She insists Imogen stay to help Andres unload the delivery.

Susan comes round to talk to Sheila about Xanthe before the start of the new term.

SHEILA: Oh, shes not selling exam papers again, is she?

Susan says no, but that she is a bit concerned about the standard of Xanthes schoolwork.

SHEILA: Xanthe! Get your butt out here!
XANTHE: Oh, hi, Mrs Kennedy!
SUSAN: Hi, Xanthe.
XANTHE: Thats a really nice blouse youve got on. Its very cute!

Susan looks bemused. Sheilas not pleased to hear of Xanthes recent grades and says that shes going to need extra tuition; Susan agrees. However, Sheilas not pleased to learn shell have to pay for it; Susans classroom support budget has disappeared due to the need to repair the school after the fire. But she says shell be tutoring Ben in the holidays, and says Xanthe is welcome to join.

XANTHE: I have plans in the holidays.
SHEILA: Oh, well now you have a new plan!

Xanthe sulks off the sofa, while Sheila tells Susan that two weeks tuition wont be enough Susan will simply have to squeeze funds out of the council to pay for longer-term tuition.

SHEILA: Sonyas in charge now; maybe you could twist her arm. You need to beg, steal or borrow those funds, Susan!

Susan raises her eyebrows, speechless at Sheilas complete abdication of responsibility!

No 30
Sonya is on the phone, telling Susan the council doesnt have the funds to help her, while at the same time preparing food for Nell, who is sitting there watching. Aaron comes in and overhears; once shes finished, he points out that state government funds schooling, but Sonya tells him she would like to help Susan in some way anyway.

Aaron asks Sonya how closely she read the environmental report. She says shes read it from cover to cover, and is struggling to believe that the environmental impact of The Development is as low-risk as the report makes it out to be. Aaron is again surprised to hear that Sonyas reading of the report doesnt tally with what he himself read, but doesnt say anything.

Hilary Robinson lets herself in and starts talking at Sonya!

HILARY: I've found an error in the Pensioners Association budget. Youve been giving us too much money!

She glances at the mess Nell is making on the table and asks her sternly whether shes responsible. Nell looks terrified! But Sonya seems pleased to learn of the overspend on the Pensioners Budget, and asks Hilary to sit down so they can talk about diverting the funds elsewhere.

Still looking worriedly at the report, Aaron announces that he has to go home to check something. He promises to meet Sonya at the Community Centre later.

In the garden, Andres is still unloading the timber for Dougs shed conversion. Paige remarks about Andres career change from barista.

ANDRES: Better to do a job, erm how you say physical?
PAIGE: Oh, thats a fun word, isnt it, Imogen?

Paige makes a blatant attempt to try and set up Imogen and Andres, and Imogen apologises for Paige. But Andres suggests he and Imogen should go for a drink some time!

IMOGEN: I'm not single.
PAIGE: Yes she is!
IMOGEN: No, I'm not!

Andres says thats too bad, and leaves.

ANDRES: Ciao, chicas!

Once hes gone, Imogen reminds Paige that she and Daniel are on a temporary break. Paige says she bets Daniels moving on men always do, she says. But Imogen isnt interested in what Paige has to say; she says she still loves Daniel and he still loves her. Doug listens to the girls argument worriedly.

Aaron is looking increasingly panicked as he reads through the report, and confides in (a topless) Tyler that its not how he remembers it from when he read it last night; all the environmental risk assessments in the report have been lowered. But Aaron has no idea how thats possible.

Lassiters Complex
Xanthe moans to Sheila about how she embarrassed her in front of Susan.

XANTHE: Now shes gonna add me in a room with a bunch of mouth-breathers, and I'm gonna have to do homework for the rest of the holidays.
SHEILA: Well, Ill be adding jobs to that workload if you don't zip it.
XANTHE: Mum always said I didnt need an education, because I was destined to become a reality TV show star, like
SHEILA: Like Kylie Jenner, yes, I know. But if she really said that, she obviously needs more help than you do!
XANTHE: You don't know my mother!
SHEILA: No, I don't! But I may get the chance if she ever decides to show her face.

Sheila shoos Xanthe away to do some study, before heading into work. But Xanthe notices a posh car pulling up outside the hotel, out of which climbs Katherine Kelly Lang (KKL) the actor who plays the character of Brooke Logan on US soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and the face of a popular line of kaftans! Xanthe gasps

In the garden, Paige is getting nostalgic as she looks at a picture of Mark on her phone, before looking as if shes about to delete it. However, Doug comes up behind her.

DOUG: Memories are worth holding onto. Even the ones that hurt.
PAIGE: I heard what you said before. About moving on from your mistakes.
DOUG: I didnt say it was easy. For you, or your sister.
PAIGE: I'm only trying to do Imogen a favour. Letting her know that there are other options out there.
DOUG: She loves Daniel.
PAIGE: Does Daniel love her? As soon as it got tough, he just got up and left. I mean, what does that say?
DOUG: I know your hearts bruised, but you shouldnt regret falling in love.
PAIGE: This isnt about me.
DOUG: My mistake. I'm sorry, sweetheart.
PAIGE: Lets get back to work, okay?

Community Centre
Sonya welcomes everyone to todays council meeting. Among the observers in the audience are Tom, Paul, Lauren, Susan and Hilary. Paul immediately interrupts her introduction, asking when theyll vote on The Development; he wants it to happen right away. Lauren stands up in support of Paul, but Sonya politely implies that they should pipe up theyll get to the vote later!

The first item on the agenda is the after-school study programme at Erinsborough High; Sonya tells Susan that theyve got her the money to fund tuition, as a result of Hilary identifying the overspend on the Pensioners Association.

SUSAN: Well, thats terrific!
SONYA: Yes, I know. There are conditions. Hilary Robinson will be the administrator of the programme.
PAUL: Ooh, watch out!
SUSAN: Well, thats thats highly irregular!
SONYA: I know. I understand that. But Hilary, shes had a long relationship with the school. She was the former librarian, and I think that shes more than capable.
SUSAN: Yes. Yes, of course.

Susan leans over and tells Hilary shes looking forward to working with her, but only gets a stern nod in reply, as Paul smirks in the background! Susan looks sheepish.

Aaron tells Tyler (still topless) that hes spoken to Joseph, who wrote the original environmental report. Joseph confirmed that the environmental risk has been determined as low, but seemed anxious and wanted Aaron off the phone. So Aaron contacted the site analysis team, and they told him that theyd assessed the development to be high-risk.

TYLER: So something dodgys definitely going on.
AARON: Yeah. Somehow theres two reports out there, and the first one that I read has just vanished.

Tyler suggests that Tom could have got to Joseph and convinced him to change the report. And the penny drops for Aaron, as he remembers how he gave Tom Josephs name yesterday

Lassiters Complex
Xanthe continues to spy on KKL from the bushes near the hotel and seeing her emerge again, rushes over to talk to her.

XANTHE: It is you! Hi, I am, like, your biggest fan. I love The Bold and the Beautiful.
KKL: Thank you!
XANTHE: Are you here filming, like that time you all went to Monaco?
KKL: Oh, that was fabulous. But no, I'm actually here for my charity, Breakaway From Cancer. I'm an ambassador.
XANTHE: Wow, thats so amazing! Oh, Mum and I used to watch your show every day all the time.
KKL: Oh, thats nice.
XANTHE: Yeah!
KKL: Not any more?
XANTHE: Err, no, I don't live with her anymore. I kind of miss her, actually. Anyway, do you want to get a selfie with me?
KKL: Sure!

But Sheila spies Xanthe, and rushes over to chastise her for not studying. Thats until Sheila recognises KKL too.

SHEILA: Oh my goodness. Look who you are!
KKL: Hi. I'm Katherine Kelly Lang, its nice to meet you. Please, call me Kelly.
SHEILA: Oh, I will. But youre usually inside my television set!

A starstruck Sheila accuses Xanthe of asking KKL for tips on how to become famous, but KKL insists she hasnt. Sheila tells KKL she doesnt need to make excuses for Xanthe, and goes to drag Xanthe away.

SHEILA: Oh, and I'm really sorry about Ridges antics. I think youve got the thin edge of the wedge with him. What he saw in Taylor, I just don't understand. And as for that Caroline, well, shes a stick! The woman is a stick!

KKL looks bemused, and now its Xanthes turn to drag Sheila away.

Outside the Community Centre
Tom comes out of the centre just as Aaron arrives. Toms elated as The Development has just been passed by council, and suggests he and Aaron go to celebrate. But Aarons furious with him, accusing him of doctoring the report. Tom tries to deny it at first, but Aaron persists, saying hes changed everything on the council servers.

AARON: Come on, Tom. You used me the least you can do is tell me the truth.
TOM: Alright, so we changed a few lines. We didnt hurt anybody.
AARON: You hurt me! Once the council know the true impact of this development, theyre gonna reverse their decision.
TOM: Do you understand the pressure I'm under. Aaron, if you implicate me, I will point the finger at you.
AARON: And what have I done?
TOM: What about those gifts I bought you?
AARON: What about them?
TOM: They sure look like bribes to me. Ill say you got greedy and took them from other interested stakeholders.
AARON: Thats ridiculous.
TOM: Who knows? Maybe they bribed you to doctor the report as well?
AARON: Well then, its your word against mine. Who do you think theyre gonna believe, Aaron? A respectable businessman, or an exotic dancer that was implicated in the school fire? If I were you, Id keep my mouth shut.
Tom walks away, leaving Aaron looking worried.

Paige is still helping Doug with the shed.

DOUG: Does your dad ever mention his big brother?
PAIGE: Adam?
DOUG: Adam was the eldest. John came next.
PAIGE: No, Dads only ever talked about Adam, Gaby and Cody.
DOUG: Thats understandable... John went before your dad was born. Adam was too young to remember him after that.
PAIGE: After what?
DOUG: We lost him to SIDS. He was eighteen months old. He was my beautiful boy. We didnt know much about the condition back then. Pam blamed herself. Not that she couldve stopped it.
PAIGE: Pop, I I'm so sorry.
DOUG: I'm losing my memories now. The good, and the bad. But I remember singing John to sleep. Watching Pam holding him. And telling her how lucky we were. The pains the part that tells you how much you loved, and how deeply. don't ever wish that away.

Paige puts a hand on Dougs shoulder.

PAIGE: Thank you. For telling me about John. It makes me feel closer to Nan as well.

But Dougs moment of clarity has passed.

DOUG: What was I doing?

Paige takes him inside for lunch.

Xanthe is shouting at Sheila for humiliating her in front of KKL!

SHEILA: See this? I'm playing the worlds smallest violin!

Their bickering is interrupted by the arrival of KKL herself, with two kaftans on coathangers! Sheila lapses back into starstruck mode, as KKL gives them each a kaftan.

XANTHE: From your range?
SHEILA: Oh, thank you so much!
KKL: And this one is for your mum.
SHEILA: Whys she getting one?
KKL: Xanthe was telling me how she used to watch my TV show with her mother. I know you miss her. But don't give up hope.
XANTHE: Yeah, Ill try. Even though it feels like shes already given up on me.
KKL: Oh, sweetheart. I'm sure she misses you wherever she is.

Xanthe explains to Sheila that her mums favourite character in The Bold and the Beautiful is Brooke, because they share a first name.

XANTHE: You know its funny. Talking to you makes me feel closer to her. Is that weird?
KKL: No. Not at all.
SHEILA: I think Kellys right, love. Your mum does love you.
KKL: And in the meantime, it appears you have a great gran here.

Xanthe and Sheila both get a hug from KKL, and she goes on her way.

Imogen comes into the garden to find Paige still working on the shed; Dougs inside, having a nap. Paige apologises for pushing Imogen into talking to Andres, when she wasnt ready. Imogen admits that Andres was pretty hot.

PAIGE: Yeah, he was, and I felt nothing. He couldve been naked and dripping with honey.
IMOGEN: I don't know whether to be disgusted or hungry.
PAIGE: At least youre feeling something. I just didnt think it was gonna hurt so much, you know? I've lost Mark, and its just this constant pain in my chest. But I am gonna get over him, and you and Daniel are gonna work things out.
IMOGEN: Yeah, well see.
PAIGE: You need to have faith. I spoke to Pop, and even with his Alzheimers, hes always fighting.
IMOGEN: Thats what he passed on to us. The fighting Willis gene.
PAIGE: Stubborn, argumentative
IMOGEN: Whatever it takes to survive, right?

They smile.

The Waterhole
At the bar, Paul is moaning to Lauren about the development going through but they agree theres nothing they can do, so he raises a toast.

PAUL: Heres to my motel. Officially pushed out of a saturated market.

Meanwhile, Toadie and Sonya are having a coffee following her stressful council meeting. Toadie admits hes surprised Sonya voted for the development, but she says that the environmental report was glowing, and Quill had talked all the other traders round so there was really no decision to make. Aaron comes in.

AARON: Theres something I need to tell you.

Tom comes in afterwards, but sees Aaron talking to Sonya and does an immediate U-turn.

AARON: Sonya, I am terribly sorry. Please know that.
SONYA: For what?
AARON: The environmental report it was a fake.

Shortly afterwards, Aaron explains how the original report was replaced with a doctored one, minus any negativity. Hes forced to admit that Tom must have made the switch while Aaron was away from the computer last night. Sonyas annoyed that Aaron would have Tom in the house when Aaron was working on something that directly impacted him.

SONYA: So the decision we just made that was based on a false report?
AARON: Yes.
SONYA: And if I go to the council, will Tom admit what he did?
AARON: No, he threatened me. He said that if I told you, he would say that I've been taking bribes.

Toadie asks if Aaron has any proof to the contrary; he says he doesnt, and that he can't prove Tom did it either.

SONYA: Well then, I'm sorry my only choice is to let you go, effective immediately.
AARON: Okay.
TOADIE: No. Not okay. This is gonna affect Sonya too.
AARON: But it was my stupidity
TOADIE: This could cost her her job at the very least, her reputation. And if that happens, its on your head.
