Ramsay Street
Amy tells Xanthe that Sheila has probably had a heart attack. Xanthe doesn't believe her, but Amy insists they have to go to the hospital.

Hospital - Sheila's room
Kyle is furious that Xanthe didn't bother checking if Sheila was OK.

KYLE: If I hadn't found her, she might not have made it.
XANTHE: I'm sorry, I didn't know. She's been milking her attack since she came home, so how was I to know this one was actually real?

Harold's - outside
Paige rushes up and tells Brad she's nominated him for Citizen of the Year.

BRAD: Me. What for?

The audience agrees. Be realistic, Paige. No, she says it's for his youth outreach programme getting Lou to exercise in the Men's Shed and stuff. Brad and the audience ask if she's kidding, but apparently not. Brad tells her she looks very nice (he was a bit sleazy, I thought) and she tells him she's got a date. Lauren thinks it's a bit fast, but she says she's got to move on. Brad's proud of her putting herself out there.

PAIGE: I'm sick of moping around after Mark.

Paul and Karl have a quick dance (kind of), and Karl says that Amy's mum is in the hospital.

Hospital - Nene's room
Nene tells Amy she's happy with "Dr Kennedy" her first impressions were usually right. Paul comes in.

NENE: Well, maybe I haven't always had that skill.

She tells Paul she's reinvented herself, and calls herself Nene. He's brought her some kiwi fruit to remind her of those days, but she's bitter about how he abandoned her. He says he's sure he can make it up to her. She wants to hear everything about how he lost Lassiter's.

Harold's - outside
Noel turns up, and asks to join Paige. She realises that he's her date.

NOEL: Courtney said you prefer older guys, but maybe she got it wrong?

She's a bit thrown by seeing someone she knows, but invites him to sit down. A couple of tables over, Brad is watching them.

Hospital
Amy and Kyle are chatting about Nene. The last Amy heard she was happy in the Blue Mountains, so she wonders why she's in Erinsborough. Amy goes to get something to eat.

In Sheila's room, Xanthe asks Kyle if Sheila will make it. Amy returns to says there's someone from the DHS looking for Sheila. Kyle looks shifty.

Nene is chatting to Paul and Jimmy, who suggests she might apply for a job in Erinsborough. Karl arrives, and when Paul and Jimmy have left, he explains that he is happily married. Nene is embarrassed but Karl says it's fine.

In the corridor, Xanthe is talking to Bernice from the DHS, who is asking her about Sheila. She explains that since Sheila is unable to look after her, they will have to step in. Xanthe says she lives with Kyle and Amy. Bernice tells her that she's going to recommend placing her in interim care.

Harold's outside
Brad is busy watching Paige and Noel, so she stomps up to his table to tell him off. He claims he's working (Ha!), but then says that Noel is twice her age. Lauren agrees, saying he is "mature". She asks what he does, and Paige says he's an academic. Brad says it's totally inappropriate, and asks if there aren't rules about it.

PAIGE: If you two weren't so ageist, I'd introduce you so you could see how cool he is. But since you are...

She flounces off, telling her parents that they are going to Grease Monkeys (classy) and tells them not to follow her.

Hospital Nene's room
Karl comes to give Nene some advice before she's discharged. He hopes that he didn't make things awkward earlier. She admits that she's always been drawn to people in the same profession.

KARL: Doctors and nurses eh? It does happen.

She asks if she can talk to him about getting a job in the hospital, and he agrees.

Harold's outside
Brad and Lauren are talking about Paige, both blaming her stubbornness on each other. They agree that it's inevitable that the relationship won't last.

Mark and Aaron are walking past, and Brad and Lauren overhear them talking about going to shoot hoops at the garage. Lauren offers them a free coffee which they turn down so Brad tells them that Paige is on a date at Grease Monkeys.

Hospital corridor
Xanthe wonders how the DHS found out about Sheila, and she tells Kyle that the DHS are taking her away.

KYLE: I didn't think they'd take it that far! I just thought they'd give you a scare.
XANTHE: What are you talking about?
KYLE: It was me.

He tells her that they could have lost Sheila because she hadn't helped her. She insists that she thought Sheila was faking it, but he says you have to give people you care about the benefit of the doubt.

XANTHE: They're going to put me in with a bunch of strangers. Do you feel better now?
KYLE: No. Not really.

Kyle offers to talk to Bernice, but Xanthe doesn't want anything to do with him.

Power Street (outside Grease Monkeys)
Mark tells Paige (who is sitting outside on her own) that it's only been a month. She says it's better than moping around, because that sucks. She tells him that he should move on, because they don't work together.

PAIGE: How dare you come down here and judge me. You don't own me.
MARK: I have never tried to! Do whatever you want. I don't care.

She tells him he deserves to be happy, and so does she.

Hospital reception
Nene is just leaving, and she tells Amy that she can help around the house, and cook until Sheila has recovered. Susan arrives and Amy introduces her mum. Susan comments that Karl won't let her escape. Karl overhears.

KARL: Well yes, Doctor Despot, they call me.

Nene says he must have a good reason for wanting her to stay.

KARL: Thank you, Nene.
SUSAN: He paid you for saying that didn't he? Go on, you can tell me.
NENE: No, that one was on the house, but I will have to charge you for the next one.

Nene leaves and Susan comments that Karl has got a fan. He tells her that he went a bit overboard on the bedside manner.

SUSAN: You're such a flirt! You don't even know you're doing it half the time!
KARL: Sometimes it just comes out.
SUSAN: Oh, that's pathetic!

No 24
By the pool, Mark is looking at a dating site, and reads some details out to Aaron. He says that's how people meet nowadays. Very true, I'm going to a wedding of such a couple next month!

AARON: Mark, you don't want to go out with any of these women. You're still getting over Paige.

He takes Mark's phone and tells to think about what he's doing. Mark grabs his phone and carries on looking, commenting that Aaron should getting back out there too. Aaron says that he and Nate are still together and he doesn't mind waiting. He looks sad.

Lassiter's Complex
Paul calls Sonya about a venue for the Citizen of the Year, then he bumps into Nene. He tells her that he lives just up the road from Amy & Jimmy. She says bitterly that it's strange that they've given him a chance. He says he cares about them, which is something they have in common. He goes on to say that he's heard about her issues, which she says come from being abandoned as a single mother. He asks if she is up to getting a job, which she is annoyed with.

PAUL: I'm merely asking after your wellbeing.
NENE: Thirty years late(!)

She tells him that he owes her, and he can support in everything she does.

Hospital Sheila's room
Kyle apologises to Xanthe about the phone call. She tells Sheila she's sorry and hopes she'll be OK. Bernice asks if she's ready. Xanthe says she has to go to a home until they find her a family. Kyle asks Bernice to forget he called, but she asks him not to make things difficult. Xanthe tells him it's probably for the best. He says he's loved have a sister.

XANTHE: Kyle, please, I have to go.
