Jimmy is sitting in the driver's seat of Liam's new car, and is in awe as Liam promises to take him for a drive. He boasts that he has a new job as an 'organic hand- sanitizer salesman', but Amy doesn't seem impressed. Jimmy abandons his game with Kyle in order to catch up with his father, and neither Amy nor Kyle look pleased.
Tyler receives a text from the new garage owner to schedule a meeting, but he admits to Mark that he's scared that they'll find out about the stolen tools. Tyler convinces Mark to let him accompany him to the sting operation with the thief, on the condition that he hangs back and follows Mark's instructions.
Liam is letting everyone sample his organic sanitizer and is feeding Jimmy sweets and checking out his muscles, much to Amy's discomfort. Jimmy suggests that Liam pitches his product to ‘G- Dad' for Lassiter's Hotel, and whilst Amy suggests that Paul will be busy, she eventually concedes to contact him.
Lassiter's Car Park
Mark and Tyler are staking out the location from their car, and notice Tyler's bike being towed by a vehicle that passes them. They approach the driver (Lenny), and Mark introduces himself as Paige's girlfriend. Just as Lenny shows him the stolen tools, Mark produces his police badge, but he does a runner. Tyler chases after Lenny and tackles him to the floor, giving Mark the chance to arrest and handcuff him.
Kyle describes Liam as a “deadbeat” to Sheila, and is upset at how besotted Jimmy is with him. Naomi joins them, and sensing that both Sheila and Kyle are in a lousy mood, instructs them to perk up. Naomi deduces that Sheila is still wallowing after Russell's departure.
SHEILA: Like you can talk, do I need to remind you how upset you were when your heart was broken for the first time? You couldn't accessorise for weeks! You looked so plain!
NAOMI: Mum, I was twelve! And you, you're…
NAOMI: You're a grown woman, and you need some serious cheering up.
Naomi invites her for a mother- daughter day, and Sheila gives in and accepts.
Mark and Tyler begin to unpack the tools from the van, but Tyler suddenly notices someone lurking in the garage. He rushes inside and tackles the stranger… who turns out to be none other than Lucas Fitzgerald! Mark introduces everyone and Lucas announces that he is the new owner of Fitzgerald Motors. Tyler apologises but Lucas has sussed that something is wrong and demands an explanation.
Liam is introduced to Paul, who gives him the third degree about why he's back in town. Jimmy, Daniel and Amy head to the bar for drinks as Liam insists he wants to be a better father, and Paul gets him to explain his new career. Paul spots an inconsistency with Liam's explanation as to where his products are produced, but Liam conveniently breaks off conversation to play pool with Jimmy. Amy and Daniel return, and Amy insists that Jimmy's happiness is all that matters.
Naomi and Sheila are receiving the full package of Lassiter's spa treatments. Sheila still can't relax though, and starts quizzing Naomi on how she manages to bounce back from so many failed relationships.
NAOMI: The best thing you can do is not to dwell on it. You need to pick yourself up, and move on.
SHEILA: That's easier than you think, with three little reminders of Russell running around Erinsborough!
Sheila then begins to overshare how much she misses Russell's gentle touch!
SHEILA: I hadn't felt like this in years! And it wasn't just in the bedroom. It was in the living room, the laundry…
NAOMI: Okay Mum, that's enough! Too much information, too much information!
Tyler has explained the situation with Dimato to Lucas, and proves that he's doubled the number of clients. Lucas is concerned about everything that's happened, and asks for time to consider before he keeps Tyler on.
Sonya is helping Toadie with exercises when Mark enters – they'll never guess who's the new owner of the garage!
Jimmy and Liam are kicking around a footy as Liam quizzes him on Kyle and Amy's relationship and Paul's business. Paul approaches with a Lassiter's room key for him and wants to know why Liam is asking questions about him. Liam distracts Jimmy by kicking the ball into a tree.
PAUL: It must be a relief knowing that he still wants to spend time with you. Kids, they can be so forgiving.
LIAM: Look, I know I've done wrong by him, but I'm back on my feet. From now on, I intend to put him first, and Amy too.
PAUL: Good, let's hope so. Because although I might be a pretty slick business man, my family means more to me than anything. You need to know that.
Kyle and Amy are preparing the store for renovation and cover the counter with a dust sheet. Amy confesses to Kyle that whilst Liam can be fun, he isn't reliable. Kyle promises to be there for her and Jimmy, but jokes that Jimmy won't want to hang out with him anymore now that his Dad has returned. Amy says she'll consider giving Jimmy more credit so they can still text each other.
The spa treatments are being packed up, and Naomi questions Paul about Liam. She then asks him why Tim Collins called, suspecting that he's involving himself with the Rebecchis again but Paul denies all knowledge. Sheila returns, and Naomi still doesn't want a bar of anything else inappropriate she has to say!
NAOMI: I know that you have done… things in the past, and I am very happy for you, that you got to relive them all. I just can't deal with the details.
SHEILA: It's not just the physical side of things that I miss. It's just that I did think he was my second chance. Maybe my only chance.
NAOMI: You will find love again, okay?
Sonya gives Lucas a huge cuddle and he admits that he wanted to get the business sorted before he saw her and Toadie. Lucas promises to catch them both up on Vanessa and the kids over dinner at Lanzini's. Sonya is suspicious as to how Lucas can afford it, and he admits that he's had a windfall. Lucas suggests inviting Mark as well, but is interrupted by a phone call about a “game of five” that makes Sonya more suspicious.
Jimmy and Liam are playing Jenga, and Amy insists that it's Jimmy's bed time. Liam praises Amy for doing such a good job with Jimmy without him around.
AMY: I want to know why you're here now. I want the truth. Because if it's money you're after, I don't have any. Not after paying off all your debt.
LIAM: I'm sorry about that.
AMY: Do you have any idea how hard it's been? As soon as I'm in the clear another bill comes along, and I can never get ahead.
Liam promises to pay Amy back, but she doesn't buy anything he has to say.
AMY: Sometimes I think you're fooling yourself more than you're fooling me.
Liam admits that he wants what Amy has; to be able to look after Jimmy and be self- sufficient.
Later in the evening, Liam is reading Jimmy a bedtime story. Kyle drops by to pick up some designs, and in the kitchen Kyle reaffirms his promise to Amy to look out for them.
Sonya collects Mark for the dinner with Lucas, and expresses her concerns about his new- found money and that Lucas has relapsed into gambling again. As they speak, Tyler enters the kitchen in the background.
SONYA: I don't know what to do, do I say something to him? You know how bad it's gotten in the past.
TYLER: Are you serious, my new boss is a gambling addict?
- Sonya reunites with Vanessa
- Imogen worries that she doesn't have enough in common with Daniel
- Lucas pays Tyler to do some tasks that aren't related to the garage
- Lucas confronts Sonya about her suspicions
