Mark and Toadie are discussing Paul's offer of help, which they think is crazy. Nell has no opinion. Toadie then suggests that maybe Paul actually is trying to help.

TOADIE: Maybe since his cancer scare he's become more pure of heart?
MARK: That's highly unlikely isn't it?

They agree that he shouldn't be taking advice from Paul, and Nell agrees too.

Paul's apartment
Ezra tells Paul that it's against the rules to have a dog in his apartment. Naomi asks who made the rules, and he says it was Paul. Paul says he can change the rules, but Ezra gives him 3 days to get B2 out. Paul calls Tim to fight the clause. Naomi asks him if they can do today's work first, but he tells her to take some time off, and suggests a DVD signing with some wrestler. She doesn't fancy wrestling (because of Toadie) so he sends her to discuss the Nick case with Brennan.

Waterhole
Nate tells Susan that Sonya struggles with management decisions - it was a shame it meant firing himself. She tells him to look for management jobs.

Ezra comes in, and greets Clem. He then goes to talk to Sheila about her review, saying that he's heard about her bad management decisions.

Nate has found an ad for a trainee manager. He asks Sheila about it, but Ezra says to see him about it.

Harold's
Brad and Lauren are talking about the baby situation. Lauren says Amber wants the baby to be Daniel's, and Brad says that Josh isn't worried. Lauren comments that at least everyone is talking, unlike with their situation.

LAUREN: You know, Paige's life has been so deeply affected by secrets, I'm surprised she told Amber to keep quiet.

Brad says she was trying to put Amber first. and that Amber and Josh wouldn't go through this with the same kind of maturity.

Paul tells Mark to take Naomi to the wrestling. He claims she isn't interested in wrestling - and he should know, because they lived together.

PAUL: If it all worked out so fantastically, why did she dump you?
MARK: Because she had feelings for you.

Paul says it was a mistake, and he just wants her to be happy. He tells Mark to take her to the wrestling, and to the Fitzroy Art Gallery.

Brad and Lauren go outside, and she asks him to promise they will always support each other and their children. He puts his hand on her shoulder and agrees. Ezra strolls up and asks when Terese gets back. Brad says it's none of his business since Terese doesn't work for him. Ezra smugly points out she has to have an exit interview to get her entitlements.

CLEM: See you in class, Mr Loser.

Ezra laughs, and Lauren is shocked.

Police Station
Mark tells Naomi that he'd recently given Paul an update on the Nick case, which she's surprised at. She's just about to leave when Mark asks her to the wrestling. She says she didn't know he was interested. He covers, saying he used to like it. She's enthusiastic at the idea.

School classroom
Brad is talking about the effects of smoking when someone gets a text, and using a phone is against the rules. It was Clem: he is obviously upset and leaves the room.

Waterhole
Nate has brought his CV in for an interview with Ezra. Sheila meanwhile is shouting at a member of staff, and Ezra goes to tell her off for spoiling the atmosphere.

Naomi comments to Paul that Mark asked her to the wrestling, just after he had mentioned it, which she thought was weird. Paul shrugs it off saying it's been in all the media.

NAOMI: So you two haven't been talking or anything?
PAUL: (laughs) How can I put this nicely? Er, we don't hang out.

He tells her to take the afternoon off so that she can go to the wrestling.

School classroom
The class finishes and Brad asks Clem why the text upset him. Clem won't tell him. Brad says he'll have to confiscate the phone, which Clem says is dumb. When Brad threatens to ring Ezra, Clem hands over the phone.

Lassiter's complex
Mark tells Toadie that he and Naomi had fun, but never got a chance to see if it could be more. Toadie says that despite everything that happened, he doesn't want to see Naomi hurt. Mark says it's not going to happen. Naomi arrives, clearly excited at the date.

Waterhole
Ezra is interviewing Nate, who explains that there wasn't enough work at the Nursery, but he never shirked his responsibilities in the army. Sheila listens in, looking concerned. Nate adds that he's always wanted to work at a bar. Sheila interrupts saying he's probably never even pulled a beer. Ezra tells her to teach him.

EZRA: Meet the Waterhole's new trainee bar manager.
SHEILA: What?! Training for my job!
EZRA: Arguably a job you're not fit for.
SHEILA: You can't get rid of me. I'm under contract.
EZRA: Your contract only guarantees employment. And right now, from what I've witnessed, it's not management.

Nate is uncomfortable with the situation, but Ezra reminds him that he said he was up for a challenge. He gives him a list of tasks to do ASAP. Sheila scowls.

Harold's
Brad is asking Lauren for her advice about Clem. She suggests he ask Ezra, who has just walked in. Ezra informs her that her tables need moving, which she goes to sort out. Brad asks Ezra about Clem, saying he is concerned, but Ezra says that Brad has got it in for Clem. Lauren comes over to confirm what Brad is saying, but Ezra won't accept it. Lauren tells Brad to talk to Clem again.

Outside, Ezra calls Susan, telling her that he's had enough of Brad victimising Clem. He expects her to do something about it, threatening to take it further.

Waterhole
Sheila suggests to Nate that he could be the boss on paper, but she could actually be in charge, so that he could learn the ropes.

SHEILA: And then old Ezra the Hun won't know the difference.

Nate refuses. He tells her they should do the things on Ezra's list. She says they are busy enough as it is, and they should drop the list and do what they have to. He disagrees.

NATE: Neither of us might like it, but what's done is done and we're going to do this the right way, so please, can you do what I ask?

Off Air
Naomi tells Mark she had a really good time. He comments that she sounds surprised.

NAOMI: Well, I only had history to go on, expectations wise.
MARK: Fair point. And ouch!

She says that today's date will be hard to top, so he asks her to the opening of the art gallery, and she is thrilled, saying she'd love to. While she's gone to get some drinks, Paul comes over to see how it's going. Mark thanks him for his advice, and asks if he has any more suggestions. Paul suggests polo...

School classroom
Brad decides to read the text on Clem's phone - "Can we talk" from Chloe. Susan comes in to talk to him about what Ezra said.

SUSAN: A student's phone is private property. The school has no right to go through unless there's reasonable cause.

Brad claims that it was because Clem was upset, but Susan says that Ezra is angry and unless Clem verifies his story the consequences could be very serious.

School - Susan's office
(We see scenes from Clem's and Brad's scenes alternately)

Clem tells Susan he's fine and that Brad is lying.

Brad says that he was worried about Clem and that was why he went through his phone.

Clem says that Brad was trying to get something on him because of the complaint he made.

Susan tells Brad that this together with the official complaint is making things complicated. He says that Clem is troubled.

Clem says that Brad has it in for him.

Brad says that he wants to help him. Susan says he should have come to her so that they could have dealt with it by the book. Now, Ezra is going to pursue it.

SUSAN: I'm sorry, I have no choice. I have to suspend you.
