Previously on Neighbours
- Kyle reminds Sheila to take it easy
- Chris tells Lucy he can't go through with being a donor for her baby, to Paul's displeasure.
- Naomi offers Mark a "massage"
No 26
Naomi is giving Mark a massage, and then invites him to her bedroom so that he can lie down. Sheila and Georgia arrive home. Mark hastily puts a shirt on and Naomi claims he was checking the locks. Georgia picks some blindfolds out of a box and suggests they should try them out (together with some bibs).
NAOMI: Ok, are we... are we entering some really dodgy territory?
Sheila says she's doing an experiment, and asks Mark and Naomi to be involved.
Harold's
Chris is reluctant to see Lucy before she leaves, but Nate says that they are still friends despite what happened.
Lauren is chatting to Karl, who tells her that his singing voice is recovered. He says that he and Susan are going to Sheila's "Dining in the Dark". Lou is peeved that he wasn't invited. Laruen tries to smooth things over, saying that Sheila is entitled to start a new business venture. She reminds him that the war between them has to stop.
LOU: Oh please. As if I'd stoop to her level.
Paul's penthouse
Chris visits Lucy, saying he's sorry how things turned out. Lucy says they'll always be friends. He gives her the little Elvis pig that Nate gave him. She says she wasn't meant to have a baby.
CHRIS: Lucy. I really wanted to have a baby with you.
LUCY: Only if there was no risk.
CHRIS: Yeah, well... life is full of risks.
He asks about her ovulation cycle, and she asks whether he wants to go ahead...
Harold's
Lou tells Susan that dining in the dark is on his bucket list, and since he wasn't invited, it is going to have to stay on. Susan offers him her place. He says he couldn't.
SUSAN: No offence, but when it comes to bucket lists, I'm dreaming a bit bigger than lunch at No. 26.
Paige and Imogen come in: Paige is walking awkwardly.
PAIGE: Some jerk stole my undies off the washing line, so I'm in my old ones - and yes, they are wedgie central.
IMOGEN: Ugh. Overshare.
Lauren hands Paige an envelope. It's the logo for the festival - Paige's first commission, which is a "proud mother moment". Paige is horrified to see that her stylised female nude has been censored, but the male has not.
No 26
Sheila is annoyed when Karl turns up with Lou instead of Susan, saying it's for couples only. Lou's view is it's tough!
Sonya's nursery
Nate tells Susan that he's relieved that Chris didn't go through with fathering the baby, although he would have backed him. Paul arrives and buys a bouquet for Lucy (though Susan points out she can't take them on the plane). Paige stomps up and challenges Paul about the logo. He says he can't have a naked woman representing the festival.
SUSAN: But the man's still naked.
PAIGE: Exactly. If the woman has to be covered up, why doesn't the man have to, too?
PAUL: Because he's a man. It's different.
Paige scoffs.
No 26
It's dark, and Sheila tells everyone to put on their blindfolds and bibs. She is wearing night-fishing goggles. Lou is complaining about having a bib. Karl tells him to think of his clothes, and Sheila says it doesn't bother her! Naomi asks Mark to put on her blindfold, and he comments he's never been asked that in public before.
Sonya's nursery
Chris catches up with Nate, who is pleased that he's been to see Lucy.
CHRIS: Well, uh, I hope you agree with that in nine month's time.
He tells Nate that it was spur of the moment but it felt right. Nate smiles doubtfully.
Harold's
Paige and Imogen are discussing Paul's sexist attitude to the logo. Imogen tells Paige about a protest staged by some women in Tasmania in the 19C when they mooned a visiting minister.
IMOGEN: Women in this country did not get their rights without a fight.
PAIGE: And that's exactly what Paul Robinson's going to get now.
Paul's apartment
Paul and Lucy hope that today is the day that everything changes for her.
No 26
Sheila serves the main course, with wine.
KARL: This is an excellent Sauvignon blanc.
KYLE: What? How can you tell that? I don't even know what I'm drinking.
KARL: Well the aroma for starters...I'm picking up traces of...(sniffs)...pineapple and grapefruit in this cheeky little number?
KYLE: What?!
KARL: It's fresh and full-flavoured. Made for drinking now but full of complexity. It's amazing how wearing a blindfold heightens your senses.
SHEILA: Except it's Riesling you're drinking and stop shouting!
Meanwhile, Naomi is feeling Mark's leg.
MARK: Oh! Who's that?
NAOMI: Oh, sorry. Me. I...I can't find my knife and fork.
MARK: You're not gonna find them down there.
NAOMI: Sorry!
Lou is not impressed with the menu.
LOU: Sheila, just because we're blindfolded, doesn't mean you have to serve up prison slop.
Sheila picks it up, and tips it into his lap.
SHEILA: Oh, well, you're the one who didn't want to wear a bib!
Bossy comes in and Kyle leans under the table to take her out. As he gets up, he tips the table over. This ends the meal.
LOU: As bright ideas go, this is as dim as it gets.
Paul's apartment
Imogen and Paige arrive and Paul tells them they're wasting their time. They tell him he doesn't know what they are going to say.
PAUL: "Sexist, small-minded, outrageous. Dinosaur of a bygone era. Blah-blah, blah-blah, blah-blah, blah-blah."
PAIGE: I can't believe you think such blatant discrimination is funny.
PAUL: Of course, "discrimination". I can't believe that was the one I forgot!
He tells them that no-one cares, but Paige tells him they will make people care. She and Imogen are going to walk through Lassiter's with their tops off. As Paige carries on talking, Imogen looks more and more worried, especially when Paige tweets.
Lassiter's
Outside the hotel, Lucy is saying goodbye to Chris and Nate. Chris tells her to rest on the flight and to take care of herself. He asks her if she feels pregnant (yes, really), and she promises to text him in a couple of weeks.
No 26
Mark and Naomi are tidying up after the meal. He comments that being in the dark with her has done something to his appetite. They are about to kiss when she remembers a meeting. They she says it can wait, but he says he has to go. She is frustrated.
Harold's
Paige tells Lauren, Brad and Georgia that there has been a positive social media reaction to their protest. Imogen is downbeat, and Brad wonders whether people would turn up to see the protest for the right reasons. Paige says that women in other cultures do ordinary things like posting letters bare-chested. She and Imogen agree that that's exactly what they are going to do.
Lassiter's Complex
Outside, there are lots of people, including journalists. Georgia says that it's not too late to back out if they don't want to do it.
IMOGEN: These photos, they're going be like all over the internet...forever.
PAIGE: Making our place in history. Sounds pretty good to me.
It doesn't sound good to Imogen. Paige stands up and explains the issue to the crowd, who applaud. Paige turns to Imogen, saying they should take their tops off.
Unmissable drama
- Paige invites Lauren to a toga party
- At the party, Daniel and Amber are sooooooooo happy, and Imogen isn't.
- "Here comes trouble"
- Paige confronting the young man
